This location is not very crowded and easy lots of parking available. Just make sure you park on the first floor near the Office. It is very clean and spacious. Great selection of pasteries...beautiful cake selection.
Very new and clean place. Lots of great options at good prices. The pastries are very light and delicate. Not flaky type and not overly sweet at all. Loved the iced milk teas too! Will try this place again. Sweet and savory choices, so go for a few to try at a time. Nice are to sit and chat, read, or work as you eat too. Very nice place near colleges.
Ive just started going to 85 and this one has the best customer service! The staff are so welcoming and can answer any question that I have with efficiency and knowledge. Not to mention the yummy menu! The bread is very good and reasonably priced.
Good but still needs more.I have visited a couple of 85C Bakery Cafe and this one in Fullerton always leaves me wishing for more.I am used to the one located on Beach Blvd. so I expected about the same experience, however at this particular location I have learned only a few selections of baked goodies are available by 7:15 am my usual arrival time.Overall quality is good, taste doesnt disappoint.Improved management would be great.Start baking earlier and get more staff in earlier for a more satisfying customer experience.Update 9-27-17.So disappointing, 7:15 am and still empty shelves, no bread!!Are you trying to push your unsold cakes and desserts from last night?Lots of sad faces when they customers walk in and see no bread.Coffee still good but you leave me half satisfied...
If you know what you want its best to call in advance. Especially if its a cake.
This is a good location. They are always clean and stocked up on bread. If you havent been to an 85 in a while, their covid procedure is to wear mask, socially distance the guests, individually wrap the breads, wipe down the counter after every guest and provide sanitizer for all. You can feel safe knowing theyre taking the necessary precautions. The breads are tasty too.
They have a variety of drinks and bread!I love coming here for a snack before heading to class. The staff is always friendly. You can park in the street or the parking structure.
No vegan food/pastry options at all unfortunately. But I did get an iced americano with soy milk that was decent and they have a few boba drink options and milk teas that can be made with soy for vegans. Everything looks delicious though and the staff were friendly. They will validate parking for the structure too.
I ordered the mango brulee and the strawberry cake . The taste and service, both were excellent.
I walked out. They a poor selection again this week. I hope they get to baking and stocking their shelves.
Great cakes! My favorite is the coffee crème brulee.
Always clean. If you arrive early when they open the shelves are full good selection
Great sea salt chocolate milk Boba Tea.
Usually fresh goods with lots great flavors. More like French style baking versus typical American baked goods.
I CANT RECOMMEND THEM ENOUGH!! quality pastries at relatively cheap prices for the AMAZING quality and love put into it. Moreover, their employees are courteous, humble and caring. Thank you ! -T
One of the best pastries shops! High quality pastries and drinks.
One of my favorite places to get coffee- an added bonus are the delicious pastries offered in many varieties! Friendly staff
Say hello to heart disease and not your wallet, this place has some awesome savory and sweet baked goods. The taro bread roll was everything I hoped for. And their chocolate mouse cake (idk spelling, but youre here for food not a grammar) made me feel like I was on a fancy food show. Its great, go try it. Or dont, I dont care, then there will be more food for me. Because if you go later in the day there is less selection
If you tried to order online, there is a chance that they will miss your order and your order will not be fulfilled (like mine). You will need to check in 1 hr before to make sure they see your order.
Another great place of mine to visit. Love the rose 🌹 thai ice tea w/ Boba and a variety of breads. Yummy 😋
Best bakery ever and their teas are amazingly delicious😋
Quick and delicious. A goto for road trip treats!
Right now not so many choices
Customer service is lacking, not the workers fault the owner runs a skeleton crew. Shame really, I love the brand.
The pastries and cakes are delicious. The Black Forest Cake is especially good. Light and not overwhelmingly chocolaty, its just right. All of the cakes are good. I enjoy the cinnamon twist, which is a semi-hard crunchy, light and flaky version and its very good. The guava strudel is also delicious.
I absolutely love this cafe! We went to pick up some specialties for a young birthday and brought home more goodies for ourselves! There are so many wonderful choices -- I love the red bean and taro muffins. Their chocolate muffins are to die for! Ill be heading back tomorrow for more sweets for another sweet-tooth birthday on Monday.
Reasonably priced. Buns are 1-2 dollars each but they are each 3-4 inches in diameter so its worth the cost. I have tried many different types of the sweet buns from this location and the one in Irvine and everything I have tried has been awesome. The rolls are soft and delicious. This bakery is worth the trip!
Love the 85 % coffee and the egg tarts. My sister got me into the coffee 😋☕
Amazing selection of pastries, vales and drink
The baked goods are always fresh and delicious here. They didn’t disappoint this time. Unfortunately they stopped carrying a product I loved(squid ink pastry), but they still made an effort to accommodate me.
This branch is one of their newest locations. We like the fact that it is the closet one to my in-laws place. I am not crazy about the layout, though. It can get way too crowded in here. Because of the poor layout, it gets very cramped and crowded inside here. Many people bumping into each other. Despite that, we are still fans. Our two favorite baked goods from this bakery are the Taro roll and the Brioche. Unfortunately, they will be sold out of these items if you arrive too late. So do not be late! Most of their bakery stuff is good. I cannot recall anything bad. Prices are very reasonable. Despite the crowds, they keep the place quite clean. Service has always been okay. Parking is not too bad. Just wish, I had the metabolism to try more items.I am not crazy about the layout, though. It can get way too crowded in here. This place has real potential but just needs a few things to make it great. It has a huge section just for Pastries & desserts to choose from before you buy your coffee. The coffee was quite good! Had a Cappuccino. But they only have Soy milk on offer if you need to go non dairy. (No one has told them that it is not that good for you yet! Please offer Coconut or Almond milk like Starbucks!!!) The Pastries and other yummy treats are good. But if you are like me I need more treats on offer that dont have milk in them (Im really allergic). They list all the ingredients to their food which was helpful. But out of 50 different items only one didnt contain milk. They also dont offer the extras like stirring sticks etc. that other places do offer. With all that said, if you are ok with dairy this place is pretty good.
This place has my badge for my most consistent craving of the week. Being a student at CSUF, I frequent this bakery. The prices are reasonable, and the quality of the bread is to die for. I cant get enough of the taro bread!
It doesnt matter if you have a craving for breakfast lunch or dinner or a snack in between. Whatever you want this place has got it for you. I recommend the potato bread and the spinach bread. Theyre both amazing. If youre into more sweet stuff then I recommend the chocolate chip filled bread or the butter cream pastry. Very inexpensive too if youre not trying to break the bank for food.
I loved the double cheesecake that we got for my uncles birthday. It was light and delicious, not too sweet.
Cute little place. Their pastries are cute and it looks like they change up their menu depending on the season. Its modern inside and clean. I love that they put your treats in a little box like a Happy meal.
Yummy baked treats and coffee! Some things sound weird but everything I’ve tried has been so good! Like any bakery it’s best fresh, but they bring fresh stuff out all the time. Do yourself a favor: come in, and wait until an employee comes from the back announcing fresh bread. Then get whatever that is!
Its always and excellent time here. The pastries are delicious and varied. Sometimes I grab something sweet, sometimes something savory. Regardless, its always delicious. They make delicious cakes as well and the coffee or tea is always good. Its usually busy, but the wait is never long.
Just discovered this bakery and Im super exited to explore all their pastry and bread options. Theres so much to choose from and everything tastes really good.
He was amazing and friendly 😊
Japanese style bakery with a nice mix of savory and sweet pastries. The names comes from their special method for preparing coffee. The method of packaging coffee and tea makes it very easy to take to go. I cant speak to the quality of their plain coffee but the lattes I had there were great.
Spacious place to get some food or drinks and study. Parking is free for 30 minutes but has cost that can be validated for some time afterwords. Bakery is delicious and I especially like the milk tea bread that has tapioca filling!
They have all types of delicious baked goods, cakes, and iced coffees here. Its not as big as the other location in Irvine but if still has a decent amount of pastries to choose from. Everytime I go I end up filling the tray. The prices are reasonable and there are a lot of seating areas if you want to eat there. You do have to park in the parking structure but if you stay less than half an hour its free.
Love the asian sweet pastries here. Always get my fix here. Service is pretty good. I needed something to snack on and ended up at a rush hour time, but still the workers handled everything very professionally and quickly. Couple of weeks ago I dropped my coffee..yes it was a mess. But they gave me a new one anyways.
They did not have the Bluberry Fairy dessert. There needs to be consistency with the products that these bakeries carry. Furthermore, they need to monitor how long the pastries stay under the lights. Breakfast items from the morning should not be left out all day to cook under florescent lights.
I saw this when i searching trough internet and I was really amazed at the pic Ive seen. Since they can deliver online i grab the chance to order. They deliver well and the coffee and dessert bi had was good yummy. Thank you.
Everything there is delicious. I just will have a doubt to comeback because the parking, I ask to the cashier when we ordered and she just said the first 30 minutes are free. Then when I was at the exit it says I have to pay 4 dollars so I do have to comeback in there to ask for a ticket pass. Why she did not give it to me when I first ask!!??
Best place in all of fullerton so delicious
Staff is super helpful and nice. The food is amazing, the venue is clean. Only good things from this customer
Can yall please make something different instead of having all pastries the same 25/7? I used to go there a lot now I dont go there anymore. Also please keep it clean hygiene is so important in food industry
Interesting baked goods and gorgeous desserts. I didnt try the coffee, but there seemed to be a large variety of drinks. I wish I had never come in here. Im going to get really fat now.
Love this place- heavily suggest the caramel pastry if they have it in stock!
Seriously enjoy going here, relaxing, food is great. Customer service is friendly they are fast. My daughters enjoy coming here as well
The food here is really good for its price. It’s a good place to study and have a small snack and a drink.
Fresh, hot and delicious bread. Excellent service, very clean business.
Baked goods here are great. Staff is always friendly and quick. I always get cakes from here for birthdays and special occasions. I think they could easily charge more for their amazing cakes.
This is so conveniently close to school. I used to go here all the time. Not too much room to study, and its pretty loud here. The drinks and bakery are really affordable, however, and you get a lot of bang for your buck and are craving someone sweet or savory! They have a pretty good selection of bakery items and drinks too, ranging from not sweet at all to extremely sweet.Sea salt coffee is a big hit here, they have deals for it on Mondays. Also, you can get a student discount here with your Titan ID card.
Good spot for pastries and desserts. Parking sucks though. Don’t forget to validate your ticket.
85°C really drew my ire when they didnt have any type of nutritional information available for their food or coffee. I e-mailed them and they made some promises but I didnt take them seriously. Flash-forward about a year and they finally have nutritional information available which I greatly appreciate! Their sea salt coffee is great and I like a lot of their pastry selections, especially choco buns, mushroom bread and Hawaiian chicken bread. My main criticism is that the availability of certain breads is inconsistent, which can be frustrating when you go their for a specific thing and you cant tell when theyll have it. The prices are also pretty bad relative to other places you could go; thats kind of the norm here in Orange County though.
Everything😀!
Great variety of pastries savory and sweet. The cakes are very good, particularly the cheesecake. For some reason the coffee orders take a long time even when there isnt too many people.
A good place to stop by for a good drink and/or baked goods. I always get the milk tea here and its good without being too expensive. Theres also a good variety of baked goods such that theres plenty to love.
The staff is friendly and helpful. The service is really fast as well. The parking lot is indoor! One of those that you has to get a ticket by the entrance. You can stay there for an hour for free without validation. With validation, you can stay there for an extra 2 hours.
Pastries, toast, tarts, cakes, tea, coffee, and candy. Rich and high calorie foods. Chain store. Popular with the younger crowd. University students go here to study and snack. Close to Cal State Fullerton. Crowded at times. Used to like their baked goods more but quality has dropped.
Good and tasty and deserving 4 stars for the value from my many visits. So, why 1 Star? My in-laws drove 30 minutes to get dessert for her birthday celebration. This was the 2nd time she visited 85 Degrees and was going to use the remaining balance on a gift card she had. When she went to pay, she was told there was no balance remainingLong story short, after waiting for 15 plus minutes for their IT department to pickup, they were told by the manager that he could not get ahold of them and said there was nothing he could do so my in-laws paid and left. The manager said he would call later and did. He explained that they had an issue with the 85 app that allowed gift card numbers to be “bleeped.” Seems that means people could enter numbers and use others gift cards. So, my in-laws are out the remaining value of their gift card based on the companies app. The one star is because everyone should know that this company is out for themselves and will screw its customers to pad its bottom line.If 85 Degrees wants to earn my and my family’s business back, they need to change their policy and refund my in-laws order for their trouble.
Good Taiwan style drinks and breads. Nice place for friends gathering together for a tea time. :)
Great study and hangout location. Fantastic food and drinks as always but this location has a great format too with more sitting and table space than other locations. Parking can be tricky but there is validation for the parking structure that is in the same building.
This is a really awesome place. We usually have sea salt coffee every Monday which is a good start for a week! Must try their cakes and pastries 😋
Clean place, quick service, reasonably priced baked goods. The cakes are overpriced and all seem to taste the same -- cream and sugar and tasteless sponge. The drinks, however, are amazing. Iced coffees, salted coffees, teas with or without boba, iced or hot. Street parking is difficult, but there is a parking structure right next to the entrance of 85C where you can park for 30 min for free if you have a to go order. If you are going to stay and enjoy your food there, they validate parking for 2 hours. Beware, their chairs are soooo uncomfortable. Its like they are telling you not to hang out there. The restrooms do need to be checked and cleaned more often.
New covid hours now 9-5.
Omg, you have to try the double cheesecake!! Its so good!!
Cheap, good tea. Boba isnt as good as other places. Not a huge fan of their bread, but I can see why theyre popular regardless. Their cakes and such are pretty good too, but their taro cake is only taro with vanilla cake now, instead of actual taro flavored cake.
Fresh bread!. Love how they are constantly replenishing the baked goods with fresh bread. Also a great assortment of drinks and got to love their 85c coffee Monday special (limit of 2).
Loved the cake and the service was great and friendly.
Similar to Starbucks except you get a tray and grab some yummy pastries. A little more expensive then my liking (but Im cheap) so I only go on certain occasions (like payday). Excellent nonetheless still.
Friendly staff, clean store. Parking is hard to find. Baked goods selection dont looked like more then other 85° store. Product taste similar to other stores.
Ever since they released their Thai Tea, I have been coming back here alot. Since it is close to Calstate Fullerton, it is my go-to 85C since there is not one closer to here. The 85C Bakery Cafe - Fullerton sits on the source of Commonwealth, in between Nutwood Ave and Chapman Ave (closer to Chapman Ave). It is hard to see if you are not on Commonwealth directly but absolutely everyone knows that 85C is there already so it is unmissable. Parking here is a bit of a pain because it requires coming into a carpark where if you exceed your complimentary 30 minutes of parking, you will need to get validation on your parking or pay up. So I try to find parking up in the front, where it is 15 mins only, or bite the bullet and try to get out of there as soon as possible. The inside is ginourmous. One of the bigger 85C I have been too. There are plenty of seats and WiFi for students and other people who want to sit and relax after a long day or morning. The staff here is quick and attentive to taking orders, like cashiering or cake selection. They are also pretty quick at making drinks so it is always a in and out experience if you are getting a to-go order.Dont forget to use the app as well. There are deals on drinks and desserts here every month as well as a rewards program that rewards you bonuses on coming here often. I always managed to cop a free tote bag from them a few months ago.
Wonderful bakery for any occasion, bring the whole family. They also have wifi and a nice dining room. The pineapple cakes are on point and so is their milk tea.
Love their freshly baked croissants. The deluxe strawberry cake and the chocolate strawberry mousse cake is really good. On Mondays, you can get any coffee for 85 cents.
Nice and clean bakery. Sea salted coffee is good all the time. Only down side is too many time killers at the table. Some times your order get delay by crowd. Try to avoid that moment. If not, youll spend more than 30 min just for coffee or any other drink.
I love their brioche bread. Great place to catch up and talk. Not the quietest, but great open space. Not many outlets. But free WiFi. Limit is two hour free parking with validation
The shop itself is next to Cal state Fullerton, giving way to a rich student life. The workers there are college students, along with the customers. Everyone was polite and the mixed berry loaf was delicious!Heads up, parking is in the apartment complex, its 30 min for free so dont be afraid to drop by.
Great price, great selection of bread. I highly recommend the cakes! Mondays have promotional discount on Sea Salt Coffee! Definitely recommended.
Their Taiwanese style bread is pretty decent. I recommend their pork sung breaf. Their drinks are only so-so. The service is friendly and pretty quick.
Amazing! If your looking for a bakery that has state of the art taste, look no further than 85°Bakery. This place offers a lot of variety of breads such as Chocolate chip bread or the sausage bread. This place is affordable and delicious. In addition it is way cheaper than Ralphs and Paris Baguette. Prices range from $1.50-$3.
Quick service and just like all other 85 degrees the food and drinks are just good. Free parking in the structure next to it too.
