Food was great tasting, water was cold and refreshing. I will visit again.
No one has any business coming here... dry tasteless food.
Great Mango Tea cashier was very friendly and will be coming back here
Couldnt ask for a better breakfast... phenomenal place.
Greatest experience ordering for a group! Fantastic food, amazing service and supporting great community work.
Absolutely delicious food. Good service and friendly staff.
You know whats better than enjoying a good meal with a good friend? Supporting a good cause SIMULTANEOUSLY! And you can do that HERE!This is a non-profit cafe assisting at-risk youth. So you can feel favorable spending your hard-earned change here, knowing it will work hard for the community! So, the menu and food are basic; the service, not exactly top-notch but friendly for the most part! Also, during breakfast today, a late Saturday morning while the place was packed, our coffee cups were constantly monitored for refills, we never had to ask - thumbs up!Not only do all proceeds benefit their mission but they also support organic coffee farmers & suppliers in serving organic fair trade coffee.Parking is limited, but if you go on their website you can print a parking permit for a nearby lot.If youre nearby and want something good, while doing some good... Try some Monkey Business!
Non profit restraunt that serves great food at a good price!!! Went for brunch today and it was so yummy!Parking is always difficult, but well worth the park and walk!Stroller friendly, but I would recommend leaving outside or in the car as space is limited.Wheelchair friendly.High chairs provided.I recommend sharing the pancake platter and going for one of the more unique items as your main meal.It was a good value!
Tasty food. They make everything fresh in house. I like the concept of being a non profit for at risk youth. Great opportunity to give back to the community and give the youth a chance! Ordered the burger which was massive and their famous Roys Ricotta pancakes. Both were great. I love the lemon creme taste with the pancakes. So much flavor I didnt even need to use syrup. You get great food, nice staff and help out a good cause. What could be better?
Monkey Business is outside dining and take out because of covid. Nevertheless, the employees were very friendly and my order was neatly packaged because I was walking home with it. Delicious 1/2 lb. Cheeseburger with shoe-string fries! Yum!😋
This was my second visit and it was pretty consistent with my first visit: mediocre service and great food.It was Labor Day and we were told to wait 20-30 minutes. We didnt need to wait as long but because we were out by the parking lot and didnt hear them call us we were skipped and had to wait another 20 minutes or so to be seated. Thats fine. There was fault on our side too.The people are all quite nice but the service is somewhat lacking in speed, accuracy, and common sense. We had to ask multiple times for extra napkins until we finally received them, we had to ask for syrup, cream (for coffee), and jam when we had ordered waffles and toast.Despite that, the food here is delicious and staff is friendly. I would willingly return here time and time again.
Monkey Business is a creative restaurant supporting a cause! The food is delicious! I cannot resist the waffle with berries and creme fraiche. It is wonderful. The other breakfast dishes all look yummy! The Mexican breakfasts are legit too.The coffee? Wait until you get a whiff! It smells full-bodied, and is not acidic. It is smooth and aromatic. The only bad thing during COVID-19 is that the cannot open due to lack of servers who want to work! 😭 So this means it is to-go only. Waaaa!Go apply at Monkey Business. We want to linger over this wonderful breakfast inside and have more of their delicious coffee! Sorry no pictures, I was enjoying it too much!!!👍🏼👍🏼♥️👏🏼🙋🏻♀️
Friendly, attentive service and great quality and tasting food with a wonderful nonprofit cause. We arrived on a Sunday morning without any wait. The food portions were good in size and the prices seemed fairly average compared to what we had seen while in the LA area. Bonus - we ordered drip coffee and they sent us on our way with a to go cup full!
Tried the food truck in Irvine. Burger and tots were really good, but it came out to $22 with a 15% tip.
I went to eat here first thing in the morning when they opened up at 8, it happened to be raining heavily and we waited outside their front door for 5 minutes before someone waved to us to go around the other side to their back door. Theres no rain cover and theyre expecting us to take the order outside in the rain. If you expect good service, just go somewhere else because ours were crushed before we could even have a slight chance. We went to the Green Bliss Cafe down the street and they were warm, kind, attentive, and had good selection of music choice for indoor dining.
Outdoor dining or curbside pick up only. I got the chicken strawberry avocado salad. It was good and satisfying. My daughter got Javis tacos. She said they were okay. We sat outside and ate our lunch.
Such a cool place! This is a non-profit that works with a local farm to source a lot of their food and provide work and training for folks in need - really love that community building focus. The food was really top notch. I had the Javis Sandwich, which was delicious and I appreciated that they had Tapatio hot sauce as an option. Their signature breakfast potatoes are crisp on the outside and downright creamy on the inside, and the coffee was delicious as well. Im only in town for three days and planning to dine here again before I head home!
I first came here for a date and it was an amazing experience, the food service and space was all top notch. The second time around I went by myself to grab some food before class. Unfortunately I made the mistake of ordering Acaí at an American breakfast restaurant thats on me but they should change the name from Acaí Breakfast Bowl to Yogurt Breakfast Bowl because this was the worst Acaí Ive ever had. I got the Veggie McMonkey my first and my date got the Berrys and Cream Waffles so I highly recommend those! Just do yourself a favor dont ever get the sad excuse for Acaí EVER. I still recommend this restaurant to anybody in the Downtown Fullerton area.
The food is GREAT!!! I recommend the grilled cheese 😍... The burgers and burritos are Onoilous as well..
The service was great, they were super kind. The chilaquiles were pretty great, you should def try. The peanut butter waffles were great as well.
Good food, but not a homey feel. Its so close to being homey, with the dining room tables and cool paintings on the wall, but it lacks that touch! They only have two selections for coffee: hot and cold. It kind of feels like college students put it together. Dirty rags laying around little tiny things of half & half you have to open one at a time. No stir sticks. Maybe Im just a coffee person, but I wasnt thrilled. Not a place I would hang out with my family or anything. I would be more likely to go to Black Bear for better breakfast food at the same price, or Rutabegorz down the street for a better salad -and a better atmosphere!
Pretty underwhelmed by this place. Both the ambience and the food remind me of a camp cafeteria. Got there and had to wait 10 or 15 minutes, so decided to order coffee from the counter in the back; the sound bar was blasting music right next to the counter so we could barely hear each other to order. The soda machine was broken, and I dont know why it slipped the staffs mind to go buy 2-liters or cans.We ordered as soon as we sat down and it was pretty quick. However, they brought out my side of bacon 5 minutes before they brought out the pancakes. They forgot my friends pancakes and we had to ask for them and they kind of acted like she didnt know what she had ordered. They never checked on us except to bring the bill, and then they offered to refill drinks. In short, its a cheaper place with okay food and a not-too-long wait and relatively convenient parking.
Chilaquiles were so good!
Fun great place for a quick bite
Use to work here. I loved this job and i wish i never resigned my position. The team and work ethic of this place is unbelievable and the friendliness of staff and the quality of food is well worth the price as high as it may be. I would strongly urge everyone to try and apply if the very least eat this wonderful food! I recommend the pulled pork fries!
The coffee and waffles were good, and the service was also very attentive, but the best part was the honesty. I left my backpack on Sunday afternoon, and was able to pick it up on Monday morning. While there werent anything very important items in the bag, I did have some sentimental items in the bag, so I was very happy to be reunited with the backpack.Thank you for the honesty, Monkey Business Cafe! Its greatly appreciated.
They just need to work on the time wait. Other then that. Food is great.
Good food and great mission statement
So excited they re-opened! My wife loves Monkey Business Cafe and hated to go anywhere else for breakfast. Yummy food, fresh ingredients and friendly employees.
I really wanted to like this place, but... right off the bat my coffee was cold and when my food arrived it was below average and was barely lukewarm :( . The host and my server were both very friendly but my waiter seemed completely overwhelmed by a larger party so I didnt see him much. Did not like that he kept my credit card for over 10 minutes after I paid the bill. Overall for the value, when I pay $21 for breakfast I want to not feel disappointed and underwhelmed. Unfortunately the food was below average and was barely lukewarm. Not a fan.
Not worth the money.
When we walked in, there was only one other couple there, and they didnt appear to be eating....just talking. There were at least 4 employees, who all turned sharply and looked at us as if we were trespassing. We asked if they served breakfast, and they said yes...for how many? We kinda looked at each other, and responded Just us two....The place was odd...odd painting on the wall, and a glass case in which they displayed baseball hats for sale. Yeah, weird.Scrambled eggs were way over cooked to the point of not edible, potatoes were square-cut and completely flavorless and luke-warm if at all. My friend had a bowl of chili, sent back because it came out cold. Not much better heated up.Water was good, and served in a glass bottle, cold, that we poured ourselves.Cost was 17.00 and some change, plus a decent tip for the poor young woman who waited on us.We honestly thought the place might be a front for some other kind of business....cause it sure wasnt a restaurant.
It has been great watching this enterprise evolve over the past 8 years or so since I first learned about it. Surprisingly delicious food, great cause, really really cute garden! Definitely worth checking out.
Great food, great atmosphere, great service. Ill be coming here again. Pulled pork burrito, chicken sandwich, fries, salsa all very good.
We love the fantastic food and cheerful atmosphere here. That it is also a business with a cause is just a bonus. Breakfast served all day is really plus. I had Roys Ricotta Pancakes this visit, but you cant go wrong here
The best surprises in life will show up delightfully unexpected...As a newcomer to San Francisco, I hesitated on spending $40+ on brunch, given my ludicrous moving expenses and nearly negative bank balances. After a particular Sunday morning at this cozy and delectable brunch spot, my account spiraled into dark regions to which we shall not name; however, it was worth it.
First time here. I cam because of the reviews on Yelp. What a waste of my time and money. Sever was of no help an a smart ass. Will never go there again. The best thing was I got to see my daughter and spend time with her. Ive had better food at a lesser price.
First time.. First impression; cute place! Waiter came out to hand waters while we waited to be seated that was a +plus! Friendlycustomer service all throughout .. food was delicious! Would definetly come back again.
Showed up to the restuarant at 230PM and were told they are no longer seating and food was take out only. Their posted hours, closes 3PM, apparently do not match the dining room. Great waste of time us! They should advertise more clearly. Ive eaten here for breakfast with my wife and today we were going to try lunch. Now we will not be going back. Just way too many options in the area to settle for poor service.
My Mom and I had breakfast here about a month ago. What a cute little place. The food is fantastic. We shared an omelette and a waffle and all I can say is YUMMY! The prices are very reasonable. The service was ok. No one was rude but the waitress could have at least smiled and been a little better about coffee refills.
There food is delicious and fresh. There portions are generous. Just be prepared to wait for a table especially for breakfast on weekends, weekdays we were seated fast. Rudy was our server, he was great so friendly. The food was delicious as always. Thank you Rudy for the great service.
So Im giving it 2 stars cause the berries and cream waffles were good. However I find it difficultto return to a place that has 10 workers standing around chatting and not asking customers if they want refills or anything! Plus 10 workers and we got up and got our own syrup and hour sauce. Not worth it.
This restaurant should be your go to place for breakfast in Fullerton. Parking was practically non-existence. the only parking available was about a five minute walk about 2 blocks from the restaurant. Worth the walk though. Outside there is a nice waiting area with wooden benches and the entire restaurant feels like a home dinning room. Wooden floors and wooden chairs makes me feel like Im at my grandmothers house. Food is delicious. I go the pancake meal with eggs, chili fries, jalapeno poppers and bacon. They are fast and the staff is really friendly. Children menu is great and definitely a place I would recommend.
I love this place! Amazing food, friendly employees, and great prices! I only wish they were open more.UPDATE: I originally gave this place five stars. But I came here today 4/17 and the service was awful. We got our food and we still did not receive any silverware. We had to ask and then wait about five minutes while our waitress spoke to another employee holding our silverware. We weren’t even done with our food when the check came. I had actually wanted to order something else, but my server was nowhere to be found so I had to order when the check came and got an attitude for it. I then asked for a water with a straw and did not get the straw. When I asked for one they asked me why I needed one. I couldn’t believe the service I recieved today. The food was good as always but I’m not coming back.
Great food and great service! Coffee and latte is very good also. AND its a non-profit cafe for foster kids!
Have been here twice and both times enjoyed the food. Nice little place that has room for two large groups of 8-12, while still accommodating a dozen groups of 2, 3 and 4. Prices are reasonable for the amount of food provided. While the menu is not large, which is good for some but not others, some of the items on the menu are unique to this restaurant so rest assured there is something new to try.
First visit to this cafe. The cafe has a nice laid back ambiance. The service is decent and the food was impressively good. But the greatest aspect of this cafe is that its a non profit organization which employs young kids and renders education in the work force field. I will definitely be back to support the cause as long as the service and food remain consistently good.
First off, I love the cause behind Monkey Business. It truly is amazing what they are doing here! I have been here a few times and have been happy every time. My favorite thing to get is the Ortega Scramble as a breakfast burrito. The breakfast potatoes in the burrito are to die for!Head up, Ive been on both a Saturday and Sunday morning and had to wait a bit before being seated!
We had this place cater for a meeting. So far the best caterer we have had in years. Great salads, fresh quality ingredients. The sandwich was pretty good too. The bread was a bit stale though. Definitely we will use their services again.
Excellent cafe with standard american fare for breakfast and lunch. This cafe is a non profit organization helping older at risk kids gain experience in a business environment for a successful future. Great venue, great service and really good food prep and presentation.
We love the food, and service is excellent. The waffles, pancakes, and chilaquiles are the best! The Strawberry salad and grilled cheese sandwich are good for lunch. I wish they would open once more for dinner. They had some awesome dishes on the menu. Parking can be tricky, so wear comfortable shoes.

Location was cool... Not alot of people ... Got seated quickly... Food was just ok. Nothing to brag about.. Food was not good enough to go back... Sorry. Just being honest ...
During my two week stay in Fullerton I was lucky enough to stumbled upon Monkey Business Cafe. By far THEE BEST PLACE Ive had bunch, and the staff were nothing but lovely and welcoming. Food tasted great (local and organic), highly recommend the spinach eggs with a side of waffle and the banana pancakes YUMM. I told everyone I know in Fullerton to head there quick!! Its a quirky wee place that also gives back to the community. #winning
Very bad first experience, I found this place on Google because I was in the area, we got sat, but the sun was in our face, in the table next to the restroom, so we asked the cashier to move and she said yes, apparently this didnt like to our server, so after he took our drink order he said that we shouldnt move because they keep sections assigned, so we can know for our next time. That was rude, and made us feel uncomfortable, you dont let customers know about how you handle your business, you just have to let them feel welcome. Very disappointed...!
Great food and service. I also like their mission of training for life.
The best casual restaurant in downtown Fullerton by far. The customer service is impeccable and the food is to die for! Highly recommended !
Perfect chiliquiles and the best A+blt I have ever eaten. Great food, wonderful service, free refills. What more could a person ask?
Cool place. Tried their Nutty Waffle, and it was good enough. Thier coffee is cold, even when I had a refill it was cold. Their service is awesome. They have parking on-site just behind the building.
I came on a Saturday and got their special with gravy and oh my gooodness I just want to come back here so I can eat it again! It was so good! Waited 45 minutes to be seated, inside the workers were so unorganized, so many open tables its like they didnt know what they were doing. Then we waited forever to order. Poor service but my food was amazing!!!
This place always delivers. They serve great food for convenient prices, there no long wait even when the spot is packed.
Worst staff food was ok and expensive and I think I saw a roach on the floor and cooking staff making fun of people
Unfriendly staff, not a warm inviting establishment. Always busy and loud. Food is decent..
Great food great service will definitely go back
Really good food! Coffee was the best diner/cafe coffee in the area! Take a moment to read up on their history. It’s great!
Supports a great cause but can be quite noisy inside if its a full house. The floor plan is open without buffering for noise. Otherwise a good place to get some traditional American food.
Food ten stars, service 3 stars. Weve been here 6-8 times and food brings us back. Chilaquiles, pancakes, berries and cream waffles all awesome. Breakfast sandwich too. Only one time we came here our drinks were kept full. Even other staff and servers walked by, looked at our empty drinks and kept going. The decor doesnt really have a theme but I dont care enjoy that stuff. I would like to have better service because we would be there a lot more.
Wonderful cafe. The service is excellent, the staff is always friendly. The food is fresh and healty. It is entirely run by young adults and the entire idea behind it is to employ at risk kids and give them valuable work experience and a good work ethic.
Love the mission, experience was awful. Told there was a 20 minute wait. However, half the tables just needed to be bused. We got a table when one of the dirty tables was finally cleaned. Heard good things about the food. Didnt happen. Everything to the table was cold. Since it took 40 minutes to get to the table, we just ate it. Server never checked on us or refilled drinks. Not coming back.
I have never seen a restaurant where 10-12 people are working and just standing around. Their menus states they have Vegan options. When I asked the server what those vegan options are she said they have NO vegan options. Our server visited out table 1 time and th as t was to take our order. When our food came someone else brought it to the table. We had to walk to the servers area and get our own syrup, hit sauce, and sugar and pour my own coffee refills. You can hear the employees talking about private life events and swearing The waffel was ok and the burrito was subpar at best. Regardless of if this is a school run resturant... someone should really manage the employees. They are here to have a good time and chat with friends not work. Disappointing for sure.
Love monkey business cafe!! Food is great, staff is professional, they grow some of their own produce and its for a great cause. Definitely one of my favorite places to eat ever.
Friendly service but portions are small but the food was tasty. My sandwich made a mess because the contents were too wet; the bread was ruined.
Got there and was greated with the hospitality I like and I love. Service was quick and great and food has never wavieredOnly thing bad thing is that the waffle I got for my mom is a little dryFlavor and texture wiseOther than that4/5
You just had a fantastic lunch at the Monkey Business Cafe! :-) were referred there by the folks at the Fullerton Arboretum where they grow some of the food that they serve. Loved the fries especially!
I had their creamy chicken pesto pasta, so good! I highly recommend it, their chicken tortilla soup, really yummy. You wont be disappointed.
Very yummy! Cute little local spot! Would eat here again next time we are in town.
Good food, good service kewl location near downtown fullerton
Great experience, refreshing curbside dining :)
This place is amazing. Everything there, the food, the people, the mission statement is awesome. Anyone giving this place less then 5 stars is not to be trusted. Kidding. But seriously this place is amazing
