The food court is clean and offers good variety of dishes and roast duck/pork/chicken. Also has dry hotpot and authentic Chinese food you probably cant find elsewhere. The market has good products and they clean and fry your fish for free. Whats not to like? I do most of my shopping here when I need Japanese or Asian groceries.
Very well stocked with food from Asia. They have all kinds of hard to find Lays chips that are only available in Asia. Their frozen selection is very wide with hard to find frozen meats like Longanisa. Their food stalls were very busy on a Saturday so the food must be pretty good. However their produce selection is not the freshest and their check out area is very small which prevents them from getting 5☆. Overall, very good market!
Well inventoried, and have a great mix of things that distinguishes this market from similar competitors.
99 Ranch Market, one of the many Asian supermarkets in the area. It stands out from the competitors by offering a clean and tidy shopping environment, plus a in-store bakery and cooked food stalls. Most important thing is 99s food prices are very competitive! Thats why my family shop there regularly.
An incredible section of Asian foods. Clean and good prices. Didnt try the food court or bakery, but both looked really appealing.
If you love Asian food this is a must visit everything youd expect and its always well stocked and clean. Try the back side for fresh seafood !! Want cuddle fish they have it shellfish you bet local fish ? Oh yeah and you of course get em cut, gut, and cooked ! Or visit the hot bar for a quick bite, I LOVE this place !
I used to do my shopping at 99 Ranch when I lived in CA. While this location doesnt have everything some of the CA stores have to offer, its still one of the best in the DMV!They have a great selection of produced, dried goods, fresh products, frozen products, meats and seafood. They carry more options versus H-Mart is mostly Korean. The food court has some solid vendors. Weve gotten dim sum, hot pot and roasted duck from the vendors - and everything was good! During the pandemic, they even offered delivery through 3rd party vendors which was super convenient.Prices are reasonable.Store is clean.Service is good.Parking is plentiful even when theyre at their busiest!
Everything is fresh except the tiger sugar pop I got from there.😞 I got home and opened it. It was melted previously and refrozen. Not edible at all. I’m very upset because it’s quite expensive for 4 pops. I had to threw it away. I got 2 other boxes of ice pops from other brands and they are all fine. So someone must have left the tiger sugar ones out in the open for it to complete melted before it’s put in the freezer.I don’t have time to go back again for refund or exchange so now I felt like I spent so much on something that I had to threw away. 😢😢😢
Keeps coming back to this place. Love the restaurant inside. Food tastes really good and super affordable!!
Excellent Asian market with Chinese emphasis. Ask them when the seafood is freshest.
Drove 20 minutes to Gaithersburg. First time to shop here for Asian groceries. Take out BBQ Honey pork, Roasted Duck and Roast Pork from the food corner. Place is clean and tidy.
Its an Asian Superstore, what else needs to be said? Nice folks. In this and similar stores I always get the meats sliced for shabu shabu. So much fun to cook with.
We get fresh fish and lobster. Good place for all sea foods.. Fruits also fresh and different varieties...
Find almost everything you need for authentic Asian dishes but remember to check the expiration date before purchasing.
Pretty decent grocery store with a nicely diverse food court area. Theres a variety of produce, snacks, and hot foods. The seafood section sells out of some items fast, so make sure you shop early especially on weekends. The hot foods area seemed just ok overall. If youre willing to drive a little bit further, Great Wall Supermarket is still better in selection. For the grand opening they are offering $1 coupons for the food court for every $20 spent and $2 after $60 on weekdays and $80 on weekends. I still like HMart a little bit better for quality
Friends from the west coast were always talking about 99 Ranch. Did not disappoint! Try the spicy stir fry stand and also the fluffy bakery cakes. Ive been able to find many ingredients I havent elsewhere, especially leafy greens.
Great prices!! Everything was translated into English, but very fresh seafood. Were visiting the area from Florida and was very pleased! Definitely wish they franchise to South Florida!! Customer service was prompt which is all we were looking for. They answered our questions the best they could lol. Definitely a language barrier though.
Exeelent peopleClean store, food very fresh
Tight parking space, someone crashed my bumper and didnt report. Bad experience.
I was there 2 weeks ago to buy fish and the type of fish I was looking for was nowhere to be found so I end up getting the wrong one because there was no one to help after 10 minutes I found what I was looking for and I told the guy who was helping me to stop because I have found the right fish so another guy came I dont know his name but he is a big guy and he started yelling at me and said next time if you dont know what you want dont order and I apologize to him so he gave me what I wanted and at the end I was giving him a tip and he refused to take it looking very upset after spending over $60. I was there today to buy the same fish and he knew I was the customer from 2 weeks ago and totally changed his face looking very upset I will never go there again.
Best customer service at the Fish services. Will come back again atleast once a week. Its a 30 minute drive for me but their customer service beats the H-mart thats 5 minutes away from me.
A very nice and organized store to shop in....🙂🌻
Its nice. You will be able to find things that you wont be able to find at place like giants and shoppers
This new asian grocery store offer unique experience than any other asian grocery. First of all its clean and organized. Produce are fresh and very lively selection of fresh and frozen sea food. Bakery for all occasion, tea Ren tea place and selection of food court such as tofu town, LaoMa spicy (ramen) and Asian kitchen. The produce prices are cheaper than great Wall. Overall a good Asian market.
Bro they have all the weird stuff you want. the produce is insane, fruit and veggies are twice the size and half the price. this place absolutely slaps
Was super happy to find out there was a 99 Ranch Market in the DMV! It was a fav of mine when I was going to school in CA. They have a great selection here and they also have items you cant find in other Asian grocery stores in the area, esp from Singapore and Malaysia.
Did not have the pork pastry buns! ..30 minutes later...also only one cashier open and long line and carts full...I only wanted to buy one tofu...so put tofu back and left... also traffic light was red for left turn...saw camera for tickets so waited for light to cycle...urgh
When I walked up, he saw me and kept talking on the phone. I waited like 20sec, he annoyed me the whole time. Then I said excuse me! He looked at me and kept talking on the phone. Just rude and terrible service. He spent more time on the phone than he did on helping me. Oh, and no mask on of course during Covid-19.
Awesome Asian market, nice variety of snacks and different foods to try out.
Friendly & helpful staff with Muslim neighborhoods than the other store without showing names, good store 👍🏻
We heard that the market had or have several employees tested positive of Covid-19, I stopped going there now. In the meantime, I truly hope the company would do something to improve the quality of the cleanliness and customer service including the courtesy of the cashiers at the checkout, workers behind the cooked food counters. In conclusion that this store was the best Chinese supermarket in our community when they first opened just years ago but now everything went down to the bottom of the river. I hope whoever or wherever is supervising this store should often send under cover personnel to check the store and actual see hows the store employees interact with their customers.
I prefer the Fairfax location. You can find the same items for less. The items here are more expensive for some reason.
This Chinese grocery store is impressive, better than H-mart and Great Wall. They have their own bubble tea shop, food court serving a lot of Hong Kong style hot foods and fresh dim sum. Their dim sum prices range from 90 cents to 2.70 depending on what you pick. They also have the roast pork, roast duck, and chicken. Theres also 2 other food stalls to choose from. One is specifically sezchuan if you like spicy. The other one is like the typical chinese lunch buffet where you select your own from the typical buffet items. The seafood section is great with live options(oysters, crabs, etc). Everything else is about what you would expect to find from a Chinese store.
Good food selection, hot food is bussin
Ranch 99 is THE ASIAN SUPERMARKET TO GO in the great DMV area. It provides a variety of groceries, plus a breakfast bakery, and a few restaurants. I love their veggie sections a lot. They always seem fresh. However, the reason for 4/5 is that I saw one rat running across the isle in between the fish market and the freezer. I also bought packages chicken / chicken legs twice, but they smelled bad both times (not expired).
Grocery Store was good but the Food Court could be better.
Im reviewing their pastries only. Its a very typical of large Asian grocery where they have hot food as well as in store bakery. Let me describe Asian pastries for those who are not familiar. They are breadier, less sweet and less buttery than western pastries. Ranging from chocolate, almond to coconut cream, custard cream, peanut cream and bean paste fillings. You forgo fat for carbs!. Its an acquired preference. Try one and see if you like them!
Exotic foods to many but a delicacy for others. This market contains hard to find but sought after Asian delicacy. Clean and spacious with cheap produce
I am very pleased that there exist a 99 ranch in Maryland. I moved here from California and I was looking for a supermarket that carried the same Asian products I could find in my hometown’s Chinatown. I also especially like that this place as a dine in deli and a couple of other dining options and a bakery. I have bought cakes from here for special occasions and they never disappoint! Parking is also plentiful!
The meat is very good, the black pork is very good, and the fresh chicken is especially good. But vegetables are more common。
Ok and clean. The seafood department has very bad attendees. They dont care to service you. They pretend so busy doing work without lifting their heads. Ppl waited a long time snd left.
Just visited this 99Ranch on Memorial Day weekend a month after grand opening. And it goes without saying that a food lovers market like this is partially made possible from the sweat and sacrifice made by our awesome US servicemen and servicewomen - thank you.Since the shuttering of Meixin in Rockville and Asian market in Annandale, things were looking bleak .... but there is hope now. And for the brief and sweetest ephemeral moment, it felt like I was eating & shopping in the laid-back relaxing atmosphere of Asian food marts in California. Ok, the wonderful soul-filling food in the numerous eateries and TenRen bubble tea cafe (all under one roof) is just unfounded anywhere else. Finding whole roast duck at $21 is just fantastic. And cmon, how many seafood departments do you know do whole fish fry [take a look a the uploaded pic]. Im too ecstatic so here are other storied finds: fresh pig jowl (yes, I said fresh not frozen, see pic), Taiwanese bakery, boiled salted peanuts (yeah, its not just a Southern thing), congee, dimsum, taro cake rolls (hard to find anywhere else, see pic), live striped bass, on choy, snow pea tips, silk chicken, pearl jelly sweet bean popsicles (w/ expire date thats much longer than next week; see pic), etc. There is just too much.... ah man, I just gained two happy lbs recalling all this food.99Ranch, hope to see more new locations in Northern VA area - ... 😖 hopefully ... 😥 south of Potomac river, 😫 like maybe Centreville, ... 😭Grandmart, Lotte, SuperH are great but its just not the same.
I have been to this market twice and was shocked at the variety of items and low prices. I find most of the staff helpful....one(wish I could remember his name) actually stopped what he was doing to walk around with me to find the item I was looking for, instead of pointing/saying its over there.Note to management: PLEASE stock some organic produce. Thank you 😊
Clean, smell nice service.
The best grocery for oriental food to me.
Great selection of goods. Reasonable prices. Clean and well lit.
Nice asian store with asian restaurants
Good source of Chinese vegetables. Cantonese style rice dumplings are big love!
The prepared food section is incredible. Great quality. Plus you can’t beat $7.99 combo during lunch, and $2.10 fried rice/noodles to go. The roast duck is great too, thin crispy skin and less fatty than most others.
Very nice veggie great price
The best Asian grocery in the region!
They improved in keeping place cleaner. But cashiers never loosing their habits to ring your one item at list twice. So keep your attention full on checkout
One stop shop for Taiwanese Korean Japanese Hong Kong groceries! Great food court freshly made dim sum and American Chinese food takeout! Nice selection. HMart Lotte watchout.
That store very good
Has everything you need for authentic Asian dishes.
Great variety/selection of Asian grocery items. Small hot food area serves delicious food
Great place with large variety of things to choose from.
Big Asian supermarket comparable to H Mart. They basically have everything under one roof. Supermarket and eatery (dim sum, prepared foods, roasted meats chinese style, Korean restaurant, and Ten Ren bubble tea). They have a lot of variety from different Asian countries and good cuts of meat. Also prices are comparable or even cheaper to other Asian markets.
Love this clean and brightly lit Asian grocery store! I come here to stock up on Chinese essentials: Chinese eggplants, tofu of all types, kongxincai (空心菜), jiucai (韭菜)... you name it.Theres also a prepared food section with a few food stalls.I gotta give a shout-out to my Northern Chinese kin -- JiaWei Cafe (see photo) hits the spot. Come get your handmade baozi and dumplings. Almost as good as my grandmas.Theres also a TenRen in house if youre craving bubble tea.
The store associate at the fish section was incredibly rude.
Good price on fresh products
Awesome selection, awesome service!
I was happy and glad in there
Great Asia market
The manager try to tell me a policy COVID-19 that I cannot exchange the rice 25 lbs Only 2 days I realize tat I bought wrong, who can eat sweet rice 25 lbs. I miss my Jasmin white rice long time, I‘m so disappointed, that the rice is big deal to me because me n my husband can’t eat White rice all the time, finally decided to get the white rice spend $220. grocery tat day n Get a bad experience from that store.
Good food, great selection, fresh seafood, excellent choice of produce.
Awesome Seafood department where they can clean and cook (fry or steam) your selected fish and shellfish (crabs and lobster), also they have a canteen style food court.
Great selections but customer services wasnt the best at all.
Prices are great. Checking out was a breeze and staff was attentive and friendly!
I dont buy fresh produces because not fresh, I stop buying fish because they sell freeze burned fishes, I dont buy their house brand canned food because less quality.Maybe meat product us the only thing I can buy.
Very nice and clean doesnt have funky smell like other Chinese grocery stores. Highly recommend.
I Tryed Asking This Guy Who Worked There To Point Me Where a drink Item Is.....He Told Me He Dont Speak English.....B.S. He spoke Good English To Me.....Customer Service Is Rude.
Cool place to get authentic Asian cuisine and fish
This grocery store is filled with various Asian products: Chinese, Korean,Japanese, etc. The store is a little dim, and spacing is limited, but most of the ingredients needed for Asian cuisines are available there. The restroom is also very clean. You can pay by cash or credit card there.
A good selection of products on the shelf, but most of the food in the eatery is either subpar or outright foul.
I went here to try out the food court and I was not disappointed. There is a very broad selection to choose from, from the basic to exotic and everything in between. If you are in the mood for dim sum they have you covered. Roast meets? Check. Duck? Check. Spicy Szechuan dry hot pot? Check. I went with the dry hot pot. You pick what you want from a long selection of proteins which are right in front of you, then vegetables. You pay by the pound and then tell them your level of spice. I went with spicy and it came out smoky, spicy and numbing. Next time I will try something new and see if the other offerings are as good. The supermarket is clean, well kit, and well stocked. The veggies all look very fresh.
Good variety. Usually have decent number of items on sale.
Clean organized with products not found in other places. Staff generally un helpful in finding products. Quality produce and myriads of tofu.
Ive been shopping for groceries or lunch from here regularly since they opened. Compared to other Asian-centric grocery stores, this place is by far the cleanest. No funky seafood smell like some places either. Always well-stocked on every snack, ingredient, or drink I would look for in this kind of store.Theres a Ten Ren Tea inside for you bubble tea fanatics. For food, there is a Korean food stall, a hot bar($8.95 for box filled to the brim with whatever you can fit), dim sum bar got merged with the hot bar, roasted meatz and my personal favorite Lao Ma Spicy. I believe their seafood section can fry or steam the food you buy from there as well.
Their spanish cleaning lady could use a refresher course in mannerism.
Great variety of selection on produce and Asian products. They keep the interior clean and neatly organized. Dont forget to check out their hot food section!
Great Asian grocery market. Much cleaner than Great Wall and people who work there are much nicer. Stopped by to just check the place out and ended up getting quite a few things. Cant wait till they open one near where I live,
99 Market has a great variety of asian foods and hot foods to eat there or carry out.
Expensive and smells bad, specifically area near the right corner near vegetable walls
The customer service was awesome and they are very organized
