Well it’s started off fine. Made a reservation the day prior my equipment wasn’t ready. Waited over 30/45 minutes before I finally got it. The link to verify the equipment status expired they took so long. I also needed a dolly that wasn’t put in the back of the truck.SO thanks! You guys couldn’t have been worse

This place doesnt even deserve 1 star. I needed a trailer I had a 1 7/8 ball but needed a 2 inch ball. Didnt know it until I got there.. I was going to purchase a 2 inch ball but they said they had no idea on how to put it on or even what wrench to use.Considering I was paying extra to have this trailer hooked up to my suv this should have been included..The woman behind the desk was pretty much useless with an attitude.

I can’t say enough nice things about this U-Haul location! They made checkin and pickup so easy and were very friendly throughout the entire process. After pickup they even helped get my tow dolly hooked up to the truck and put my car on while giving step by step direction so I could confidently do it myself if needed. Very grateful for the helpful staff and all the tips and tricks they provided along the way!

STOP!!!! This should be a minus 1 star. Whatever you do dont use this Gastonia uhaul location if so be aware that you will be double billed with fraudulent charges because they have your banking information. And the people thats completing the bill either cant count or read a clock or told to double charge people. I called this location and was told a manager name McKenzie was in a meeting and would be calling me back that day with the correction needed to fix my bill. Needless to say, that call never came and when contacting this location later in the day after not receiving a call back, I was told the manager would be In a meeting all day how convenient... My next call is to corporate.

I found them to be courteous upfront but also asking unnecessary questions about what address are you moving to. Which I think is a red flag since it had no relevance. I also experience people using the surveillance cameras to remove items from you when your things are on deck to be moved out. They watch for opportunities to remove items from you. So beware they are all working together people from all walks of life and ages. They will still smile in your face and someone else will be listening to your conversation and taking notes. I thought it was safe and honest until I unpack and realized I had several items missing. So sorry and are there any decent, honest people anymore? If you say something they will deny it, but God will bring judgement. God Bless

Hard to write a review on this place. I called three times today and was rudely put on hold. The first time was for over 10 minutes, the second time was over 6 minutes and the third was for over 4 minutes. They never came back to me, so I hung up and tried back at 30 minute intervals. I needed to have hitches and brake controls put on several of our new trucks, don’t worry, we found someone else who has customer service skills.

Went in today to buy some boxes and waited for 15 mins. Not one single employee in the store, office, the shop or parking lot. There were no customers inside or out other than me. Not sure if everyone quit at the same time or they were all dropping deuces at the same time. It was very bizarre...

Got a reservation for a 6x12 trailer for $29.95. I explained to the lady on the phone the type of vehicle to be used, as well as what was going to be hauled.When I arrived, the charge was upped to $56.00I will be demanding a partial refund.

Excellent customer service! From all there, but especially Bobby for going above and beyond even in snow and rain to make sure my trailer was wired and hooked up safely! I highly recommend and will definitely be going back!

As we (My Mom, my Sister & I, 3 ladies) were traveling moving all after finish our University cross 8 states, we noticed that the trailers lights were not working and we were in the midst of the hurricane season, with tremendous rainfall that even we couldn’t see well in some points, in this situation after the trailers lights were suddenly off, we stopped in 2 places and they couldn’t help us, But When we stopped by Mr. Willie and Mr. Bobby, Uhaul Store, they were so gracious in helping us out !!! They went out of their ways to find the problem that was not easy to find it.... and they resolved it with precision, Efficiency & as quickly that it was possible!!We thank God for their Excellent Service and Generosity Help !!And as they said we won’t have that problem again in all our long trip !!

Today was not a good experience. We pay fees monthly and on time. The day that we decide to move the elevator is broken. Customer service was poor and no accommodations were made in efforts to manually get items moved. We had to pay our movers for additional time because the elevators were out of order.

Best customer service Ive ever had. Courtney was very professional and helpful.She was personable and cheerful, you could tell she enjoys her job. She was knowledgeable and patient with me. She answered all my questions (I had a lot) and gave me several options to choose from. We finished up my paper work in no time. My car would not start in the parking lot when I got ready to leave. Courtney was still helping another customer already past time to close. When she finished with him and locked up, she refused to leave until I got my car started and out of the parking lot, even after I told her I had help on the way. She had to have been there at least 3 hours after time for her to leave. I tried to get her to go on home (but I was really glad she stayed). It was the most fun Ive ever had while broke down and waiting for help. Thank you Courtney

Called five times this morning with no one answering the phone and continuously being transferred to the call center. Waiting in line for over 20 minutes. Only one person working up front. So many people working here and walking around. Come to find out the woman who reserved our trailer yesterday did not process the reservation! And now there are no trailers!!! 45 minutes later and now have to drive to another location to pick up a trailer!

Poor communication and very disorganizedu-haul site. The only positive point to make is the cargo van we rented was very clean and well maintained. Also had a positive experience with the gentleman who checked my rental back in. The office staff needs training on customer service. Be very careful to watch the charges on your credit card!

So $19.95 is a great deal until you get there and ooops, they forgot to mention the $19.75 mileage charge/flat fee.. Paid mileage on TOP of that. Opted for $10 coverage. $19.95 deal came to almost $48. Just saying if there is a flat fee that doubles the rental, and it is a lump sum rental charge on final receipt, then the $19.95 rental advertisement is at least somewhat false and at the least misleading. BTW, great people and great service. Negative comment totally directed toward U Haul as a corporation regarding their misleading advertising practices.

Very very unprofessional staff idk what that girls name was i only there to get dolley she was rude and while im talkin to her to get paperwork she decides to just ignore what im sayin and pick uo the phone and act like i wasnt there. Either train people to treat people with respect and with more professionalism because uhaul lacks that at this location

I was really impressed with the ease of getting set up and the friendliness of the assistant manager and staff. Everything was clearly explained and the truck was pretty easy to drive. The truck comes with a loading ramp that is super helpful but you have to bring your own hand truck or pay 7 bucks a day for a rental handtruck, there is a emergency handtruck that is zip tied in the cargo area, but if you cut it youll be charged, same with the blankets. Returning the vehicle took less than 5 minutes. The 15 foot truck is listed as fitting 2 bedrooms, just realize that this likely means literally 2 bedrooms worth of stuff, not a 2 bedroom home, so go larger on the truck or plan for multiple trips. 2 full days plus insurance was around $110 bucks.

If you would like to hear foul language, managers not owning up to their mistakes when they schedule the wrong dates for your rental, informing you that they have emailed you a copy of a receipt when they never asked for your email information, and not offering you or explaining the prices of collision coverage on the vehicle you rented.. Well, you have come to the right place. Too bad I can’t leave zero stars.

Cindy is wonderful manager. She is very patient and very thoughtful. Her whole staff is great especially Willie, he puts alot of pride in his work and it shows. I have renting a storage unit there for about 5 years and couldnt imagine going anywhere else. There neighbors helping neighbors program is wonderful for the community too. Their prices may be a bit higher but well worth it.

Very unprofessional and untrained. Reserved a uhaul for 5 oclock and forgot my wallet (totally my fault) I was told not to worry and that it would be held for me until I returned which was in 20 mins. I arrived to find out that my uhaul was rented to someone else and that they couldnt do anything else. They failed to communicate to each other and have multiple excuses as to why it wasnt their fault. One of the young ladies stated she couldnt control what the other worker did and it wasnt her fault that she didnt communicate with her. No maneger was present and both employees were on their phones and very uninterested in anything customer wise.

U-haul is a scam. In literally every sense of the word. They find every excuse to charge you and claim no liability whatsoever. You are not protected if anything happens even if you are not at fault. They will charge you $4 a gallon if they have to put in more gas. You can’t turn in the uhaul to any facility, they will charge you $90 for it. A scam. By definition. People deserve a better moving company than one that will squeeze every drop they can in any way legally possible. U-haul makes moving (an already difficult experience) even more taxing and inconvenient.

After making an appointment to get a hitch installed so I could relocate someone, no hitch was installed.They claim severe rust was the issue but judging by everyones work ethic, they didnt want to get dirty.The people working the counter were more concerned about what they had to do after work than helping us when we arrived. They also mentioned only one installer was available because the other installer didnt want to install hitches. Laziness encountered from beginning to end.Now I am looking at spending hundreds of dollars more to do the same thing.I definitely wouldnt recommend this place for anything unless you have a lot of spare time to waste and possibly being denied service due to some rust.Keep in mind the rust was all surface rust from a car that was undercoated.No damage was reported or seen and none exists.5 hours of my life gone and I dont have what I need that they promised.

Very impressed with the excellent service received here. Very friendly staff on the phone and in person. I requested the two front tires replaced on the 6x12 trailer prior to my 1400 mi trip, and the yard crew went out of their way to see that it get done quickly to be on my way. They didnt have tires onsite so they called in a service truck. The lady at the service center kept in touch until he arrived. Looking to rent from them again!

I returned the truck half an hour before the time of return and they send me an email later charging me for returning the truck an hour after I had actually returned it, Smh thats a scam. I almost forgot to mention they gave me a uhaul with damage and I pointed it out before I took it or else I bet they scam people like that.

Irritated!! Keep going back and forth with these people and they have yet to refund $90 due to me! We were charged over 100 dollars for a freaking uhaul that we only used for 3 hours!!! Everytime we talk to them they keep saying I dont know whats going on, but I can see you havent gotten a refund yet. Then they never call back!! If this isnt resolved I will gladly report them, and for their poor services here is my review so no one else is ripped off.

Had a different mileage on my truck rental paperwork, informed them of this before leaving, and was told by Cindy they would update the system with the correct mileage.They didnt. It sucked.They also put an additional lock on my (paid up to date) storage unit without informing me, claiming policy. They offered to loan me the key.Horrible way to run a moving and storage facility, and I wouldnt be surprised if some of their tactics and policies were illegal.My first review doesnt show up when I sort by new, so Im posting another.

Must be nice to be in management here and hide in an office while you make someone who has no idea what they are doing wait on one customer, call other stores for instructions on how to take a payment and make the rest of your customers wait forever. Phones ringing off the hook, and this poor lady behind the counter has no clue. Then you watch other employees walk in and sit behind the counter and not even bother to assist waiting customers. This place is a time suck! How this place remains in business is beyond me.

Unprofessional customer service. Notification that my rental location had changed from Lake Wylie to this location came the morning of rental rather than two days prior as promised on my reservation. When I walked in one girl was on FaceTime, and the other disappeared with a slice of pizza in one hand and her phone in the other while customers waited in line. They got my paperwork wrong twice initially, then installed my hitch with ball facing down (face palm), and realized after hooking up the trailer that they needed to change my contract for a third time because they had hooked up the wrong trailer.

I was told a one way was the same price as an in town for the trailer. Upon arrival I was about the be charged 33ish dollars instead of 15ish after taxes. Of course by the time I am picking up the trailer its past the point of no return on finding another option isnt feasible. I declined to continue with the rental because I refuse to be charged double what I was told.

32 degrees and sunny. 3 pm. Saturday after a 4 inch snow and the store closed. We are moving this week, had a full load and cant get in the building...Cars outside, customer service said GM was online but not answering. Nice...Btw, no notification on the local store voicemail... Suggestion is to get your landscape company to clear the ice on days like this...Salt the walkways and stay open.Update - Day #2. No call back, no one at office. Regional manager not answering.

BEWARE!!!!!! Not once, but TWICE this place has screwed us up.Last year, same time, RESERVED a trailer and when we got there, they didnt have it. Ran around trying to find a trailer from other sources.This year, RESERVED and ORDERED a hitch to be installed. I received two emails confirming it, then another one the day before installation saying we are confirming your installation on....Different date, in which we arent even go to be here.I never made that change, AND then proceed to tell me that they sold my hitch that I ORDERED and RESERVED a week ago and sold it to someone else that ordered it after I did.NEVER again will I deal with this Uhaul location.Twice you did us wrong. GET your communication and reservations straight!You are much better going elsewhere!

Rented out a 10’ truck that was supposed to be $29.99 over all charges were $237. U-Haul uses low prices to draw in customers, reality is very different. Associates there are also give the minimum amount of information about their services and how things actually work.

I rented a uhaul cargo van from this location. Excellent service I was in and out the door in the van in 5 minutes! Van was clean and very new! Excellent service! This is the second time I have used this location for rental trucks... Especially with Lowes and home Depot around the corner!

Everything was good at first rented a uhaul 10 foot truck for a day and was told everything was good I didnt owe anything thing else rented the truck on the 19th returned on the 20th on time and was told I owe nothing more everything was good then on janJanu the 2nd they go and charge me 46 dollars to my account without my knowledge and caused me to be over drawn in my account I called them and they said they that they sent an email which I never received saying I owed 16 dollars from the 19th of December an charged me a 30 dollar late fee my advice is get it in writing that you dont owe anything because uhaul will screw you all could have been avoided if I had 1 ... Received an email or 2 ... Got a phone call thanks uhaul for your unprofessional business you really messed me up with my bank by doing this to me Ill never rent a uhaul again ever exspecaily when Im disabled and every penny counts

My experience with this location is terrible, my stuff up to $2,000 was ruined by water damage I can never get the manager cindy on the phone or to return a call. Ive never experienced this with uhaull services before I strongly recommend not using this location. Us Dallas or charlotte location.
