David earned my business with his no hassle, low pressure approach. He didn’t waste time with vehicles he WANTED to sell, rather, he found the vehicle I WANTED. Finance department worked with me to match my outside offers and had everything ready to go when I picked up the vehicle. I was surprised that the price was much higher than the one I normally go to in Newark. Also I was very disappointed to see that when the inspection was done that I was charged $2.00 to apply the inspection sticker that should be part of the inspection I have never heard of such a thing. If you are going to do that on an inspection I would hate to see what charges you would add to any work that would need to be done. I will not be going back to this location.

I always get great service, fair prices, treated friendly and work done by a knowledgeable staff. But on July 29, 2021 the Service Department went above and BEYOND and got my vehicle in and repaired in just a few hours where Van Bortel Chevrolet in Macedon said they couldnt even get around to it for 7 to 10 days. Once again Tradition Chevrolet in Geneva proofed they are SECOND TO NONE PERIOD!

Bought an 04 Silverado 2500 in Sept 03 to tow a boat. The truck runs great and all the service was performed and the dealership. At around 30K the upper A frame, curb side, ball joint went out and had to be replaced. Service never greased the right or left ball joints! The part they used to replace the original was a china knock off and the truck could never be brought into correct alignment. Consequently tire wear and poor gas mileage were the result. I went to an independent local shop and had both left and right upper A frames replaced, the entire front suspension system checked and a realignment performed. The data came out with 4 green bars indicating a correct alignment. Two days later I took the truck to the dealership for a NYS inspection and the mechanic said the truck steering was bad; no reason, just bad. NYS inspection calls out a two inch play-zone in the steering wheel. Beyond that the steering is to loose.You can check the truck today and you would be lucky to find a 1/2of play. I am not sure if the mechanic was just lazy or trying to spend my money but that was the last visit I have ever made to the dealer for service. I have no trust in the service department and I will not buy another vehicle there due to the lack of service and trust.

Spent over $1500 for my wifes Malibu to be fixed. They told her it was fixed and to come pick it up. On her way home practically every light starting coming on and the heat wasnt fixed so back she goes. She ended up losing several days of Instacart pay and an unbelievable amount of stress on her and our autistic son. Brought our concern to their attention and the general manager couldnt even be bothered to have a conversation about it. I have NEVER in my life been treated so poorly with such a profound amount of fastidiousness. I will be taking my concerns to the consumer protection office, ASE, State Attorney Generals Office and HHS for their total lack of empathy for our son with special needs. Please stay away from this place!

I had heard good things about Tradition in the past but when I started my car buying research I didn’t think I’d want a Chevy. After going to a few different lots I was beginning to lose hope in choosing a model to start chasing until I found a good deal. I have never been treated better at a car dealership than at Tradition Chevrolet of Geneva. Driving from SW Pennsylvania to Utica, my AC stopped working about an hour into the trip. Mind you it was 93 degrees outside and extremely hot. I kept driving anyways because I needed to be in Utica to meet with a customer. By the time I reached Geneva, my compressor and really loud and smelled like it was going to catch on fire. I stopped at a hotel for the evening and called Tradition first thing in the morning and explained my situation. They told me to they would try to squeeze me in, which they did immediately after I showed up. After diagnosis, I was told I would need a new part for the truck and they could have it ready by the end of the day. I had no where to go, no vehicle, and I knew no one around. I asked if I could stay in the waiting room until it was finished. Which they said of course. About 10 minutes later, they walked over to me and offered me a loaner vehicle so I could make my meeting with my customer! This was truely an amazing act by the dealership. I have to say, if I lived closer than 7 hours away, you would receive all my business. Thank you for being an outstanding company to work with.

They charged my mother $2,000 to fix the issue with the stabilitrak in her equinox and she got it back and they didn’t fix the issue. When she called them to complain they said they didn’t fix the stabilitrak yet that’s the only reason she brought it in. Shady business practice. Going to BBB and possibly my lawyer as well.

Nicole approached me when I entered the lot and started looking. Not only did Nicole listen to every detail of what I wanted but she heard what I was saying! She was very instrumental in finding me a car that would meet my demands. She never tried to up-sell me, she was always very honest and straight forward! Best car buying experience I have ever had! My truck goes in for an air bag recall and comes back with 3 additional codes (air bag related) to the 3 previously existing codes that it had which were for the fuel neck and 2 tire pressure sensors. Now Im told the issue is on me and I have to fix the issue out of pocket. Miraculously after the truck gets a recall fixed, other codes show for a related issues which were not pre-existing codes! I called GM and spoke to a lady which stated that maybe the new module is not compatible with the older computer system and may be causing issues with other modules throwing codes but she also said because the dealership deemed the recall being fixed, all future expenses are out of pocket... I guess thats how GM likes to do business and this is clearly not how I planned on leaving a review but let the poor customer service be known...

Make sure when you pick up your new vehicle you bring extra money for gas and go to Ziebart and have them do it dont do it through dealership not happy with my experience and well go somewhere else next time

As we started our research for a new truck, we originally were looking in Rochester. We were looking to trade in our 2010 Chevy Silverado for a newer vehicle. Tradition Chevy hit our radar with the right fit truck for us. Cliff and Cheryl were willing to stay open a couple hours later for us, as we had a ways to travel after work. Cliff really worked with me as far as trading in my truck and staying within my price range. Cheryl is very knowledgeable about all the bells and whistles on my new truck and helped make the whole transaction so much easier. Joel was great with the financing. We went to look at the truck on Wednesday and picked it up on Saturday. All in all, it was great experience. It is a smaller dealership, but that made all the difference. No run arounds or gimmicks. Just a great deal! Thanks Cliff and Cheryl! And we LOVE the truck!

It took over 1 1/2 hours, and the wash job on my Equinox was half done. Also I asked about getting my Equinox detailed, was told there was no one to do it at this time. I have always been very happy with the work done on my vehicles, until this time. May I suggest you hire more help or more efficient help, something is different there, not as people friendly. Your new girl at the service desk needs to not talk so loud, and slow down a little and listen when people are talking to her. Sorry about all the negative comments, but was a big difference since my last visit.

EXCELLENT SERVICE! Broke down driving cross country. Stopped at a different dealer and spent hours trying to get help. Called Tradition and Bud Hut took care of us right away. Sent an employee with the rental car to pick us up, repaired my vehicle in a timely manner, covered all warranty work and addressed other small issues. Highly recommend!
