My sales person Axel Ben was a no pressure salesman. When I had questions about the vehicle and he didn’t know the answer he did not hesitate to do some research. Went into the dealer on Sunday to find out the car we were interested in had been sold. While there we met Hernan and he walked us through the available inventory. We landed a nice, lightly used 2018 Nissan Sentra which still has factory warranty left on it. We came back Monday evening, finalized paperwork and was out the door at a decent time! Definitely will be referring friends and family.

I had to leave a review because at this point I have bought 3 cars from this location. All from Axel!I bought my 1st car at 19 by myself and he found me the best option and best deal. *A Toyota Yaris* which was perfect FOR ME!! I had just gotten my license a week before and needed something that was affordable, reliable, and small! He made sure during the search we incorporated all three. And if you know anything about Yaris’s THATS LITERALLY WHAT IT IS A tiny reliable fun car!Every time I come in it’s only because I’m ready for an upgrade. Fitzgerald Toyota was, for certain, a new style of car selling. Sales person (Paul) and Manager (Carlos) shared the owners intent for car sales.As a used dealership they have several categories of pre-owned inventory (my accuracy in terminology might be a bit off but its good enough to see the picture):1. Pristine (low miles with factory warranty, and MD state inspection)2. Gently used (higher mileage with limited warranty, and MD state inspection)3. Fixer upper (they will have their mechanics inspect the vehicle and produce a document of issues needed to pass MD state Inspection as well as the cost)The buyer can purchase the vehicle cheap and make the repairs themselves or have Fitzgerald complete the repairs for the additional amount on the estimate.Well worth the hour drive from Sterling, VA... I will share with friends and colleagues.

The process began over the internet, and I was promptly called the same evening. Fitz had the exact truck I was looking for. Joselyn and Merielos kept in communication until I was able to take a test drive. It turned out to be exactly what I was looking for. They allowed me to place a down payment to hold it until I could come back 2 days later with my trade. They were bale to estimate my trade with photos in the mean time. I got a fair price on my trade and the truck was a very good price. I was very happy with the entire process. Finance took a little long, but that cant be blamed on anyone. This is my 4th Fitz vehicle. They have always been the easiest dealer in the MD area to work with. Fair pricing and no haggling. Joselyn was a pleasure to work with for the final part of the deal, and spent a few hours just chatting while we waited.

I originally posted a one star review due to poor communication from certain staff. I have since purchased the vehicle from them and the following experience was very pleasant. They were very helpful and kept in touch with me the entire time. They are willing to negotiate and make a deal. I have a tough work schedule right now, they even delivered the car for me while I was at work and met me. However it must be stated that buying a fixer upper with the intention to fix yourself. Will result in a salvage title being issued through the MVA, if you are a MD resident. I would recommend this dealer overall, especially after I voiced my original concerns and how they were handled in a proper and very professional manner.

BUYER BEWARE!!!!I purchased a used 2018 Honda Civic from this dealership. I came after work one evening and was so excited to see the car I’d been dreaming of. Everything looked perfect, they even had it sitting right our front. But the windows were down, which I didn’t find weird because it was nasty hot outside... here’s where the story gets good. Everything goes well, everyone was extremely friendly (hence the two stars instead of one). Anyways I purchased the vehicle and they failed to mention to me that the A/C didn’t work. I get halfway home, SWEATING, and it was only blowing hot air. I called my salesman and he told me to take it into one of their other locations the following morning so they could look at it. They “fixed” it, and it was blowing ice cold air. After 1.5 days, it started making this weird whistling noise and blowing hot air again. I took it into another one of their locations after work that day (95 degrees..), made an appointment, just for them to tell me they couldn’t look at it till the next day due to all their guys leaving at 4 when they made my appointment for 4:30. They didn’t want to give me a rental car either because I didn’t buy the BPP ($700 extra), only THREE DAYS after I bought the car. They eventually made it right and fixed the A/C (bad compressor btw), but it had to be taken to Honda instead due to them not wanting to cover it. Just be careful when buying a car from these people!!! Never again.. worst car buying experience.

Saw a car online(Car Guru) from this place yesterday. Once I got to this location, a black America salesman mediately got outside to introduce himself. I asked to see a Honda odyssey that was online. Once he pulled the car up he said it was a handyman special. Which was something I didn’t know even from the website. The website didn’t show pictures of the major damage the car had(must be their way to get you in the place). But he wanted to insist that the website said it and that I should’ve known (understand you get this a lot maybe you should deal with it better instead of insisting). So I asked to see what he had that was working and was not a handyman special. We walk inside to look at his computer. When I asked to see all the cars in a certain way, his comment was that those are too expensive and he just wanted to show me the cheaper cars. Salesman here thinks he knows what I was coming to spend. This was very disrespectful to me so I decided we were done with his help. Which he then commented it must be the prices that’s pushing you away. Which I replied back it’s not even that( it’s your disrespectful, I think I know what I’m doing salesman attitude). You guys might have to send this guy the work retail so he can know who actually spends money. He might need more training or One of those for dummies books. After this terrible interaction I went down the street to DIRECT AUTO ACCESS just a few blocks down. Bought a Beautiful Honda Odyssey off the lot and I don’t owe anything. They know how to sell cars here. Fitzgerald might want to go call direct auto access to see what he lost in one day.

Just F.Y.I when your buying a mechanics special they will not allow you to drive on the highway. You only have the limited space on the lot and the side street to drive. Its Maryland Law Wish I was told before I made the drive down to the dealership

Recently purchased a Certified Used 2015 Camry and had the best experience. Marielos was wonderful from start to finish. I had a vague idea of what I wanted so she helped me pick out a few and I fell in love pretty quickly. Amazing warranty on their certified used cars and extraordinary quality. I even took it to a mechanic right off the lot and they agreed it was in amazing condition. The manager is incredible as well and the entire team worked together to make it a quick and easy process. I dont expect to need another car for a while but I know when I do, Ill be going back for my third car from them.

I am almost impressed at how terrible the customer service and condition of the vehicle I almost bought was. I am truly grateful that I walked away because the salesman made me feel uneasy. Instead I found a car at Krietz in Frederick, I would highly recommend them to anyone in the area.

About as honest as you can be for used car sales

Nice people at first, but as soon as I tested at a car and told them what I was looking for, they were very pushy, sent me a ton of spam email and wont stop calling me even though I told them Im not buying a car from them. Typical pushy dealer.

We purchased a 2017 Nissan Versa with 29k miles as a surprise for my 82 year old mom. The car was clean, fairly priced, and had 1 year of manufacturers warranty remaining. The Germantown dealership is clean, with ample parking and easy to access. I would rate the purchase experience as 4 stars. However, the after purchase customer service was not acceptable. A day after delivery I discovered there were problems:1) I was told that the manufacturers Safety Recall had been performed. That was not true. I took the car to the Nissan dealer just up the street from Fitzgerald providing the VIN number and was informed that the Safety Recall was still outstanding. Following up with Fitzgerald Mgt., they insisted that their service personnel had completed the Safety Recall work.2) the Nissan Versa had a Subaru oil filter installed. I actually pointed this out to the Salesman after the test drive. I cant imagine why a Subaru oil filter would have been installed except for the fact that Fitzgerald has a Subaru shop and it was convenient!3) the oil had been overfilled by 1.5 quarts!!! Nissan specifies 3.5 quarts of oil. I removed and measured just under 5 quarts of oil. Supposedly, this car had passed MD Inspection (Fitzgerald performed), and was prepared for sale. I was shown a list of the services Fitzgerald claimed had been performed but I have absolutely no confidence that anything listed is true.4) The air filter was filthy. It was an OEM air filter, that I suspect had not been replaced since the car was new.The overwhelming problem I have is not the mistakes made, but the total unwillingness to accept responsibility for the obvious mistakes. Even after I provided the report provided by Nissan that the Safety Recall had not been performed, the management was in total denial. Is this the “Fitz Way” characterized in the Fitzgerald commercials???My suggestion to anyone looking to purchase a vehicle from this dealership would be to request a copy of the work Fitzgerald stated has been performed, then have an independent mechanic inspect the car before making the purchase. This should not be necessary with such a large multi-state dealership, but failure to do this could prove to be an expensive oversight.I elected to replace the air filter, and change the oil and filter at my time and expense. Yes, I personally performed the work.In the end, my mom was surprised and very happy with the car.

I purchased a car here in early September and was told my tags would be mailed to an address in Brooklyn, NY. Fast forward to early November and my temporary tags are set to expire soon. I called them on two separate occasions to find out where the title is.The first time I called was on Tuesday and I spoke with Axel, who sold me the car, and was told the title was going to be sent to me the next day. I called on Wednesday and spoke with Axel and Carlos, the manager, to make sure I would receive the title today and was instead told the accounting department hasnt pulled the registration yet but hopefully it will be mailed by Friday. When I inquired how long does it usually take to pull a registration I was told that it was a 5 week process. If it usually takes 5 weeks then how come I havent received it 2 months? I asked if I could receive the title at my current school address in Albany, NY and was told No because the protocol states that it must be sent to the address on file. Clearly someone messed something up and yet they dont have the courtesy to fulfill a simple request in order to lessen the effect of their mistake?Be extra careful when purchasing a vehicle here because apparently you need to babysit them in order to get anything done.

Really bad I bought a car there and after a few days I noticed that it has a lot of damages and i took it to the service department and now they dont want to fix anything they want me to contact my insurance to fix it.i regret so much trading my car here I gave them something good I got a piece of trash in return please dont ever spend your money here no worth it.
