This store is a literal joke. Their manager marene, or whatev her name is, is literally the most DISRESPECTFUL person i have ever come across. I NEVER file complaints but i literally had to file a complaint against her. She does not deserve her job. Idk how is in customer service with her attitude.
I am not a version customer but I went into the store with my cousin yesterday. We experienced the pleasure of being helped by a young man named Jhonatan. He was extremely polite, knowledgeable, helpful, respectful, and he had a fun personality. He wasnt pushy and he didnt try to force any purchases. We received quality service in a timely fashion. He is a wonderful employee. The store was was beautiful as well.
Decided to visit this location today to simply get a new phone case. Samsung note 10 plus. Waited 15 mins out front along with another customer who had said she had been there awhile and nobody has greeted her. Finally someone came out and let the person who was waiting with me in. Unsure to how long my wait was going to be because of no acknowledgement, I had thought about just leaving. Fortunately, it is a beautiful day out and didnt mind being out in windy but sunny warm outside. Another 5 to 10 mins goes by, and a new gentleman came out to ask why I was here today and I mentioned the Samsung note 10 plus case and asked if they had any. He replied, yes we do, but it will be a 30 to 45 min wait because there are already two people helping customers. Sign says limit of 16 people total, and I understand that but whatever. After waiting another 5 to 10 (thank God it wasnt 30 mins), I was told that not one case was in the store. So I left. Being misinformed about the product you have is not good, Im just glad I didnt wait 45 mins to be told that. Looks like Ill be going somewhere else to do business unfortunately
Horrible service, have to wait 20 mins in-between purchase, finally gave up and walked out. I dont know why they have a shop if they dont want to sell anything. Lacking motivation and zero customer service..
Helpful staff.
I drove down at 10 to be there when the store opened. It is now 10:30 and the store is not open. Several of us are waiting outside of the store. I hope this does not happen again as this is unacceptable.Update: at 10:30 the representative finally came out from the stock room and was not apologetic for opening late. I asked if it opened at 10 and he explained it did, but he had arrived late. I explained we waited for 30 min in the rain to which he responded that he had seen us (I guess from the stock room cameras as there was no one on the floor), but apparently his other coworker was also late. This us unacceptable. He should have came to the door to let us know that it was appointment only. He had a very rude tone and the comments here about the poor customer service speak for themselves. The staff needs to be properly trained. We will not be returning to this location.2nd update: I ended up coming to the Gaithersburg location and was able to do a walk in to order my phone. They have great customer service.
This is a primary store, so its nice and big and has all the things (devices), which is great. Consistently over many years now, and around a dozen visits across that time, the customer service in the store has usually been...disappointing. Most of them go through the motions and thats it. And the phone customer support is far more powerful (why, Verizon?) and helpful and make the effort to seem helpful and so they are far more effective and pleasant. Several times I have had to spend my additional time and effort (after already making the effort to go and have waited my turn for help), to call Verizon support while I am physically in the store and have the person on the phone instruct and advise the person in the store so that I can be simply helped with my account/purchase. If you can accomplish what you need over the phone, youll have a much better chance of a good experience that way.Response to Verizons response: I appreciate that youre reading this. Im quite happy with Verizon. Im just consistently surprised and disappointed in the store experience. It is not necessarily this specific store, though thats where most of my Verizon store experiences have been. There seems to be a notable difference in mentality/approach of [most of] those answering the phone calls, and [most of] those working in the stores; the people on the phone generally *act* more interested, caring, and make efforts to solve problems as theyre presented; the people on the phone generally act like theyre just fulfilling the requirements of a job, and seem content to reply that options are unavailable and its not their problem (--calling someone on phone, theyre usually keen to explain to the people in store what the available options actually are).
Extremely courteous associates. This location did not accept Fios TV equipment returns, but the associate gave me a list of nearby locations that did. Highly recommend.
Tried to open a new account and they lied to my face about numerous things. One lie was they said they were out of stock of the iphone 12 pro max then i overheard them tell a different couple that they only had iphone 12 pro max in stock. That got me thinking if they lied about that small thing of stock, what else do they lie about for sales. They also lied about my account that set me into a two week struggle over christmas trying to figure out my account which ultimately led me to closing the account. Not to mention every time i asked the worker a question, she walked to the back to ask another employee and came back and answered me while rolling her eyes. This is only 10% of the things wrong at this locations. I never write reviews but i genuinely don’t want anyone to go through the struggle and stress i have gone through the past two weeks. If you’re looking for a verizon store, go to another one. If i could give a negative rating I would.
Dan O’Dwyer was extremely helpful and was willing to spend the necessary time to add a new line to our current account. He was very knowledgeable and could answer all questions that we had. We definitely would refer family and friends to him!
Very good experience at Verizon in Germantown. I haven’t been in a store in years (because of the usual long wait I have experienced at other stores). But I was having trouble activating a new phone. Staff pleasantly greeted me and there was no wait to get help from an associate (Kumar). Within 20 mins, my phone was activated! Such a great experience there today! 👍🏼
Very very nice and good staff. All my questions were answered, and im very satisfied with my visit .
I just had a stellar experience with Marlene. I am actually a former Verizon customer in needed some assistance with my old account. Marlene helped me as if I were still a current Verizon customer and helped me with my problem in a timely manner. Great work Marlene! This definitely makes me consider switching back.
Very Good Service, Polite and helpful staff and Douglas it was great working with you Thank You so much for your time and energy. I really appreciate the effort you put for me to get it done with my Apple Watch ⌚Definitely will recommend my family and friends who use Verizon service to go to this store🙏🙌
I boight a phone here and thrn tried to return it. They tried to send me home to call customer service within 30 seconds of speaking with them. The customer associates name was Doreen. It was customer service that had told me to come into the store. They have sent me in two circles so far, customer service tells me to go to the store, store tells me to call customer service.Edit: The store manager Gregory ended up helping out with my issue.
Great place, been going here for many years now.
After 40 minutes waiting for service found out that i have to sign in. They never told me. Was trying to get a WIFI hot spot devices for my business for another hour and a half and finally left this horrible place. Looking for another location to get a better service. People don’t waste your time here, after more than 2 hours i still don’t have what i need.
Always have had an issue with the customer service. Lazy, rude, not outgoing, and hard to communicate with. They never seem to want to spend more than a few minutes helping you. Then they lose interest. Verizon in itself is expensive and the service in MoCo. isnt the best. Only come here to get mediocre assistance. Nothing else.
Went to store to get a SIM card and activate phone. They chipped the SIM card area and said it was out fault. Then they went ahead and said it was activated. Nope, nothing worked. Came home, had to call them back and they told us to come back in? I don’t have time to keep going back to a Verizon store to activate a phone that does nothing but sell and activate phones. Went home and called. Verizon has to set the IMI and IC number. Unbelievable experience.
It is not an Apple Store. Monday afternoon at 5:30PM. Waited for more then an hour to talk to a sales associate. They may have the best coverage, but their customer service sinks to hell. Even the sales associate was polite and knowledgeable. How about a couch to sit down while you wait. One star is about theax.
I was very happy with my experience at this Verizon store. The reps name was Courtney, and she was a delight. I have been to the store in Frederick several times and I much prefer this one at Milestone. Good people there.
Went to the store for assistance in activating my new phone that I ordered online. I was greeted by a team member that told me she could not assist and I can do it myself.
The employees that work here are the laziest people. When they see customers come in, many of the employees go to the stockroom and stay there for long periods of time. Verizon should fire these employees and hire new hard working and happy employees.
We were traveling from Oklahoma and staying in Frederick for the week on vacation. I had wanted to upgrade my phone and we located this spot after 3-failed attempts at other Verizon stores (either they werent a corporate location or their doors were closed/locked in the mid-day for no reason, {yes, I mean you 5599 Spectrum Dr Unit 104, Frederick, MD 21703} ).. Anyway! We were so happy we found this location in Germantown. Kumar was very kind and knowledgeable and eager to help us out. We ran into a problem during the upgrade process and I ended up having to call customer service to resolve the account issue I had. Unfortunately I had to wait on hold for over an hour. Kumar was so patient in waiting with me and even when I got to speak with a live person he was able to tell me just what to say and was super helpful! He had to step away for a moment during this whole fiasco but made sure to leave me with everything Id need to turn the call with customer service into a success. Regretfully after everything we decided to wait on the upgrade until we returned home to Oklahoma and were unable to thank Kumar in person as he had not returned by the time we concluded everything. I wanted to write a review nonetheless encouraging others to visit this location and get Kumar! Thank you again for everything. Verizon is lucky to have you!
Ive been a long-time Verizon customer and this location has been my go-to for years to pay my bill, upgrade phones, buy accessories, etc. I have always found the staff helpful and general knowledgeable but on the other hand the wait time for service is outrageous. I just dropped in this afternoon to upgrade my phone and was told it would be 20 minutes as there were only two people in front of me. 45 minutes later I was still waiting and the couple in front of me were far from finished when I decided to leave. This is far from a unique experience. In fact, its typical. Fortunately, Ive learned that theres a store even closer to me so will be going there from now on, and if I end up wasting half a day for service then at least i wouldnt have had to drive so far!
I went in to VW to replace and hopefully salvage photos, contacts etc from broken android. First employee without looking at phone said there was nothing she could do. Pretty much had a no answer for everything I asked then directed me to new phones. She was completely taken aback when I didnt want the most expensive iPhone and left me to figure it out while she waited on other customers. I went back to sign-in and stated I wanted to speak with another employee. I was kindly greeted by KUMAR who was kind, professional and willing to hear me out and try to solve my issues. I walked out with a new phone, some of my old photos and contacts salvaged. KUMAR is the employee you want representing your business! Promote him or put him in charge of training employees but dont lose this great employee! The five stars are for Kumar otherwise I would have given 1 star or 0 star rating.
No greeting on arrival, was waiting for someone to greet me so I could sign in. One employee walked right by, stood around and then went outside. A woman walks in after me and is asked if she needs help, signed in, and was helped while I stood there. I waited an additional 15 minutes and decided I will just handle my update online. This is why brick and mortar stores are dying. The art of customer service is lost on Verizon unfortunately. Shame, it used to be much better years ago when I signed up for their service.
No one greeted you at the door, I didnt know where to go. I just wanted to buy accessories for my phone. Another customer said I have to register I went up to a associate she told me I had to wait until she finish.
Been a Verizon customer a long time and remember when the place was just horrible. The it got better a couple of years ago. Went in March 2017 and it is back to horrible again. No one greeted me, then the clerk really did not know the products telling me things I knew was not true. Whoever is managing the place has drug this store back down to one star or less. Go to the next store and pass this one up. Too bad, so sad.
Wow such a horrible experience today. There were 4 people waiting outside in line before the store opened and the manager literally stood inside at the door looking at her watch until it turned 10 on the dot. Like CMON! At least pretend you’re busy?! Then are saleslady was incredibly rude and snippety - offered no help and no solutions. A good salesperson offers good services and doesn’t make you feel like an idiot for coming into the store. She was saying certain promotions were only for new customers but my Verizon app directly contradicted her. She just wanted to get us to buy a new phone. We took our business to the Apple store. Check Apple out - absolutely amazing customer service.
I needed my phone set-up and I had a excellent experience with the representative named Mike. He was fast as well as nice. Love the people who worked at this Verizon.
It’s been about 1.5 hours waiting here still no one to help me.While I am waiting here I just read reviews looks like so many have complained for many months about the same ...Message to “Owner”.. I came her to switch 2 lines from your competitor but I am gonna walk out now. Thanks
Great store with a big variety of gadgets, phones and tablets. Only disappointment is the waiting. Theres always a big list of customers in front of you :(
Sesar was very helpful greeted me at the door and took my iPhone 7 pre order quickly. Very good service store looks very good!
Nice service and support. Very helpful if you have a disability.
Need to release your new policies about the use of your restrooms and not use other business facilities for Verizon customers.
They are always the worst & slower then maple syrup. I came in to buy a $300 gift card. I had to wait like Im buying a phone. Waited 35 mins then gave up. Thats ridiculous. Cant just go to the front desk and buy a gift card. Sorry Verizon u just lost $300
Visited this store during the whole Note7 exchange. Reps were less then personable and seemed to hate their job. I would make the drive to where people are nicer, ie, Frederick.
After having a horrible experience with the Shady Grove Road location (they pressured a family member into getting a smartphone that he didnt want by saying that Verizon no longer sells flip phones, the type of phone he was seeking, when that is plainly not true)...I, being a long time customer of the Germantown Verizon store contacted them and spoke with a very nice gentleman named Robert. He kindly agreed that this was horrible service that we received and spoke with his manager to remedy the situation. I plan on coming into this specific store to make an exchange as well as get an upgrade for my own cell phone. After this conversation, Im very much looking forward to it and sincerely appreciate the help and concern I got over the phone. Ive always highly recommended Verizon with their many selections, helpful service, and great plans/prices...and I will continue to recommend this store with more fervor! Thank you Robert and thank you Verizon Wireless Germantown!!
Ive got a love hate relationship with Verizon. I love the quality of their cellular service but I hate the prices. They keep changing their pricing structures and its rarely to benefit their customers. The store set us up with a phone but when we got home it wasnt activated and I had to spend almost 15 minutes on the phone getting it resolved. That was the first time it ever happened but hey, it shouldnt have happened at all. Oh, and dont ever buy a screen protector there. $25-30 bucks for a piece of glass is an absolute rip off. IMO.
Jersey Mikes so good!
Helpful
Way better experience than the Rockville location I went to. Doug, you the real MVP.
Getting new phone.
The Note 7 recall was a debacle! Samsung recalled the phone twice, so I had to exchange twice! When I upgraded from the 5, because the phone was sent directly to me, I was able to transfer EVERYTHING (settings, folders, desktop, call log, texts, etc.). On the first 7 exchange, the rep was in a hurry and didnt transfer any of my new notes taken or any of the above I was able to do myself. On the second exchange, I was promised an Oculus VR with the S7 Edge I settled for, because I stuck with Samsung, and Samsung reneged on the deal! Im considering going to AT&T on the next phone purchase and moving on from Verizon & Samsung.
Great customer service 😀
Nice store but not enough parking
Very bad customer service.
Seriously bad service and terrible wait time
Not very helpful at all
Terrible customer service. Ethan is clueless and lazy. Cant even buy a case or do a return without waiting an half hour.
