Very friendly staff and always helpful. During an already stressful time in your life they make this part easy. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Waited 2 weeks for the next available appointment which was today at 2PM. I arrived and the door was locked, I was sitting outside in the heat for 20 minutes knocking and attempting to contact this Smart Start but they dont have a good phone number listed for this location anywhere. I then drove around to the back to check if anyone was there and they looked shocked to see me. The lady was nice and then said she would open the front door for me. So I drive back around to the front and parked and got in, I filled out all of the documentation and was sitting waiting for another 20 minutes while she was in back. The installation guy then came in and told me that my device isnt working and that I can wait and hopefully it works or come back another time after I waited TWO WEEKS. Came here based off of the good reviews and had decent expectations and was let down. There are plenty of other places you can get your interlock installed besides this one, dont waste your money on sloppy customer service and sub-par devices they apparently have lots of issues with according to the technician. I walked out after an hour of constant disappointment.

I called this place and Irene answered the phone which was a God send for me. I spent two hours talking with Smart Start upper management trying to get something fixed from 10 years ago. I spent 4 minutes with Irene and she got the mess straightened out in 10 minutes. There should be more people like her on this planet. No BS and shows care and concern.

Friendly and understanding. Did everything they could to get my install done and quickly as possible. So appreciated!Thank you!

Overall an easy place to work with. Since this is court ordered its basically forced but if you have a choice, these people are experienced and explanatory. And the price is doable as well. Dont expect anyone to be bubbly and pleasant (this isnt a restaraunt and they are not your servants) they are direct and informative and professional. Its also helpful that you can check when your service date is and battery voltage is through your device instead of having to call in. They also have stickys you can put on your dash to have your device hang from so its not sitting at random angles in the car.

Finally after a year I am getting the breathalyzer removed today! I have used smart start the entire time and they are fast and efficient! Would highly recommend Smart start to anyone in need of there services Thank you for everything!

The lady is always pleasant to interact with, and gets me in and out of there in a decent amount of time! The only thing that sucks is the cost!

Even you don’t like having an interlock device in your vehicle, the staff at this location is very helpful and courteous. If one is needed I recommend this location.

Find somewhere else they never answer the phone and the website doesn’t work EVER. line said 6 minute wait time and i waited over twenty and no answer as well as tried calling from the two different numbers listed online

So... smart start I have to say I felt like I was being drug around the mud. I had to drive over 50 miles and something that should have been done by 2 wasn’t done until 5. But it was done. I didn’t think it was even going to get done until I got told to go to this location. They were able to handle my bad mood with a smile made things as fast and convenient as possible for me and just sat and talked with me. Honestly if it wasn’t for this location I would have had such a sour taste in my mouth but they really made their Customer service feel like a mom and dad helping you through a bad step in life. They didn’t have to take me in but they did. Thank you!

We were having issues with MVD, and the interlock records. Irene made phone calls, and let us know how the process was working. I felt like she really cared about our situation. She is absolutely a 5-star employee - please tell her thank you from the Simmons family!

Man hard to give a good review to smartstart anything, but this place is a gem.Quick, friendly service every time; the last time I came in I had an awesome convo with one of the service techs about AZ and where to do what as I was brandddd new to AZ having just moved to the state.This is now the only place I want to get my calibrations and other work done.Great conversation, treated with respect every time.After dealing with call center and the main company this was seriously a breathe of fresh air and they were able to prove a situation did occur as I had described to the call center, resulting in me keeping money I wouldve otherwise had to pay for a situation I didnt create

I cant compare it to other companies since this is the only one Ive used but Ive heard some pretty bad horror stories about the other guys. The Smart Start device is super simple, easy to use, compact, and it only takes about 3-5 seconds of blowing for it to register. Ive heard some companies devices you have to blow, suck, and hum or blow into it for what seems like a minute or two making you feel like youre going to pass out. This one, I put my keys in, its ready in about ten seconds or less, and Im driving. Easy. The customer service is a Down-To-Business/No-BS type of attitude which I like because Im in there and out every month in minutes without having to deal with annoying small-talk or fake smiles. Price is fair. If I know anyone who ever gets a DUI Ill recommend Smart Start to them. The only reason Im not giving a full 5 stars is because of lack of locations. Other than that its a great company to use.

Though the service is good here, their policies are horrible.. When you get the device installed they give you an option of putting down a $250 deposit or you can provide (3) references for them to call to validate your credibility (huh? who would want that) .Anyways I choose the $250 deposit, so fast forward to when I get the device removed, I was informed that I had to call Corporate to get my deposit back. Well, its been over a month and still no check. I would find another place to get your BAC installed..

This place is AWESOME! The employees (Frank, Karina, & George) go out of their way to help you . They know what they are doing and can answer any questions that you have, plus it is CHEAP! The monthly services are quick and like i said before their customer service is amazing!

The best smart start location I have been too. Everyone was very helpful and answered all my questions. Friendly atmosphere. Will be returning. I actually would of rated it 6 out of 5 stars

Needed to have Interlock Installed for both MVD and Court order,they were helpful in explaining everything cost, appt, real thorough..Great Staff from Receptionist to Techs.. If you ever need these services to get your license back I highly recommend them.

Smart Start is awesome!! I have actually used them twice, and both times even though years apart were a great experience. Ive been to alot of the locations all over Arizona and have never had any issues with any of them BUT this one is my favorite because the employees. They are knowledgeable in what they are doing and are super helpful and easy to talk to, which is really nice because it can be stressful sometimes. The manager Frank has gone above and beyond to help me, he always asks how I am doing and makes sure Im taken care of and if I have any issues or questions hes quick to get them resolved. I dont dread having to stop in once a month its actually nice to stop in and say whats up to the guys while they are doing my monthly service. I am greatful for these guys and their customer service and highly recommend this company to anyone!

Price was the cheapest, had to get it for my wife. Install was fast and monthly visits are in and out. Its best if you can pay cash and for the whole year. I believe you get a discount for that.

I love how friendly they are here, they dont make you feel like your mistake should define who you are. I found Smart start on McQueen and Basline to be more cheaper and the staff are so friendly. (I was previously going to the place in Tempe. The worst mistake, beside the DUI. Where the guys in there were so rude and even installed a faulty machine in my car. If you are thinking about going to place in Tempe please dont I promise you u will regret it after the bill you get from the shop from having to fix broken parts in your car, that was intentionally done because you no longer wanted there service!) I highly recommend this location on McQueen & Basline Freddy is the store manager I believe and he is so nice. Along with the lady and the guy in the backsorry forgot their names they even give you a discount if you refer someone! Awesome place Thanks guys!!!

The phone number listed for this location just rings forever and no one answers. When calling the main Smart Start number they were unable to tell me if anyone was even at the store to answer the phone or not. Either take down the phone number, or have someone answer the phone during the hours of operation.

The best company for the interlock I had quickstart for a while then switched to smart start and half the payment and no more additional fees

Excellent customer service and the employees are awesome . They installed my device and made me comfortable and welcome . Nervious !!! I never experience an interlock device exspecailly having ashma. The manager is fantastic and very knowledgable and professional explaining the details about Smart Start services.I totally recommended the services and very affordable
