I love this place! From the start of the process they are friendly and helpful. They also are very respectful of my time and money. My service guy Dale tells me how long and how much. I know that he will meet those expectations and frequently beat them. I also love that it is a family run business from Kelly, his wife, his brother, his son and his daughter. This was my second experience with Kelly’s. This time I had a Service Engine Soon light that required a differential emissions diagnosis. This shop nailed it and finished the job on time which was important considering I needed the vehicle to go out of town. They’ve also been courteous and professional each step of the way. Ive been using this place for a few years now and have had very good experience with the service and the professional way they work in the office. I can highly recommend for any light-duty work (I have not had any big jobs done yet) but feel good to recommend for oil, tire rotation, brakes, etc. They give the car a thorough inspection and help by pointing out things that may need attention over time.

I recently bought a used Audi A7 and it broke down on freeway while my wife drove it. Towed it to Audi dealership. They quoted my over 4K in repairs. Had it towed to Kelly automotive and $300 later it was driving back to normal. So thankful for the honesty. Wow. I have done other repairs here and paid more but I always trust they are telling me what I really need. Not just pushing for max revenue ticket.

I have no idea if they actually do good work here, but their manners over the phone aren’t great. I called last week to schedule an appointment. When I called today to see if I could reschedule, the guy told me that he doesn’t even have me on the books. So the first guy said I was all set, but didn’t schedule me? I attempted to schedule again for a tire alignment, and the guy asked me why I think I need a tire alignment. It was really off putting how he said it. Like uhhh I need a tire alignment because I was told I need a tire alignment at my last inspection? Just seemed sexist to me like I didn’t know what I was talking about. I decided to just hang up and avoid the hassle of explaining myself and maybe getting an appointment if they put me on the books this time.

They are extremely unprofessional, im a part time mechanic and I know that they way over charge on simple repairs. The only thing their good at is overcharging, and maybe oil changes. Good luck getting ripped off..

SLIMEY COMPANY! DO NOT GET YOUR WORK DONE HERE!!! They are unprofessional, rude, and incompetent. Tried to speak to them about an issue I had with them and they proceed to talk over me, yell, instigate, and be rude while I was trying to explain where the true issue was. Its clear that they had no intention to resolve that issue and made me so mad that I said I will never do business here again and hung up.

He’s helped us out so many times and is always fair priced and honest with what we need to get done. They offer after hours drop offs and are quick and knowledgeable at what they do! Friendly, efficient and reasonable!

After painfully working with the dealership for multiple other repairs, we called Kelly Automotive to get a quote for a rack and pinion repair on our Hyundai Santa Fe. We worked primarily with Russ from the front desk. Russ was extremely helpful and provided great communication from the start. The quote we received for the repair was competitive; the cost was reasonable and less than other repair shops in the area, and the warranty was better than the one provided by the dealership.Following the rack and pinion replacement, we were told that there were still issues with the power steering. After explaining our poor experience with recent dealer repairs (one of which being for a separate power steering component), we were immediately re-assured that the issue would be properly diagnosed. Following a thorough inspection, no separate issues with the power steering system were discovered; it was instead discovered that the rack and pinion purchased from the part supplier was defective. Russ was extremely transparent about this and our second rack and pinion replacement was performed free of charge. We were even given a slightly better price than provided in our original quote.One significant positive from my experience is that Russ provided clear descriptions of the problems with both our original rack and pinion and their first replacement rack and pinion. I was provided a level of clarity, honesty, and accountability that wasn’t present when working with the dealership.I would strongly recommend Kelly Automotive based on their integrity and expertise. We are planning to return if our cars need any other major repairs.

I never write reviews but this place deserves my time! I have recommended Kelley’s automotive to family, friends, and coworkers. I had the best experience here because everyone was so kind and very professional. They fixed the weird noises coming from my car and even called the next day to see how my car was. The price was very reasonable. It was less expensive than 3 other places I called. HIGHLY recommend this place!!!!! This will be the place I take my car whenever I need it fixed.

When I couldn’t find someone to watch my kids while I got an oil change I knew it was probably going to be an event to sit and wait for it to be done. I walked into the shop, which is very modern and clean and pleasant, was greeted with a smile and directed to the customer lounge with plenty of chairs, children’s books, and a television, and a glass door that kept my two year old contained, which made my life so much easier because I didn’t have to worry about chasing her around the lobby. And their restroom has a changing table which was so great when my 5 month old had a dirty diaper that needed to be changed.Absolutely love this place, as long as I’m an Arizona resident, I’ll be coming here.Thank you Kelly Automotive for being so accommodating and family friendly.

Incredibly helpful and friendly staff! Went in with concerns about my power steering (long story short, it stopped working and I was stranded) and they gave me some power steering fluid to help me get to their store. It ended up being a simple enough fix that my husband and I could do it ourselves. We went back to Kelly to let them know and pay for the steering fluid. The man there, I think it was Jeff, told us not to worry and that we wouldnt be charged for it. We will definitely be taking our car here if we have any more problems!!

These guys do great work. I have two high mileage / older vehicles, that have had some work done in the past. Jeff and Dale always try and minimize my repair costs as much as possible. Kelly Automotive is a great full service shop! Their service is quick, our A/C went out in our 04 Honda Pilot over the weekend, took it in to one shop on Monday to diagnose and see what they would charge ( ~$1100). Then I called around to see about prices, dealership wanted $1800, but a friend of mine just said they just had their A/C done at Kelly, so I took it in to them end of the day Monday. Tuesday morning they called with the same diagnose as the first shop, (A/C compressor went out) and their price was $100 dollars cheaper! They had me back on the road with ice cold A/C by the end of the day. Hayden at the front desk was kind and relatable. The guest lounge is enjoyable and they offer complimentary drinks!

I used to be a automotive service writer and actually helped to train others to do the same. This shop has some of the best I have seen in a long time. Everything was handled with professionalism and they seriously cared about my vehicle and safety. It is with a big sigh I have to write this. Today I went in for an oil change, picked up my car and then dropped off my wifes car. They had called me and said my cabin filter needed to be replaced and quoted me $53 dollars for it. I said no, and Russ said ok, we will knock it out and put it back in. They had sent a text with a link to a picture of the filter they had removed. It had a couple bird feathers on it, and some small pieces of debris in the filter, plus the filter was overall dirty and did need to be replaced. I pulled out the filter to figure out which one to order from Amazon as Walmart does not stock a cabin filter for my car. I noticed the bird feathers, and basically the same stuff still in the filter. I took the filter with me when we went back to pick up my wifes car. After paying I grabbed the filter and showed him a picture of what they sent me, and then showed him my filter. He immediately got upset and got defensive, and told me what do I want they werent charging me anything. I said I know but you said you would at least knock it out and everything was still there. He then grabs the filter smacking it against the wall as stuff falls out of it, and says I am not going to give you a clean filter back. I said I understand that, but if you say you are going to knock it out, you should at least do that. He got even more upset and smacks it again, and then hands it back and says there theres you air your breathing. And stormed off. I told the mechanic(that witnessed the whole thing) that was bringing my wifes car out that Russs attitude may have just cost them two customers, he shook his head and disbelief as to what had just happened indicating he was sorry. I dont care about the air filter being dirty or not, what my issue in the whole situation was, is that they said they would knock it out and didnt. If Russ would have said we will just stick it back in then I wouldnt have expected anything else, but he didnt he said they would give a shake so to speak. He was so unprofessional I was honestly taken back at how upset and defensive he got just mentioning it. I wasnt upset, I didnt yell, I didnt raise my voice, and his response and attitude toward me was appalling. After almost 4 years and four vehicles (father in laws included) and trusting and loving these guys, I am really questioning this company and all the other interactions I have had. It now makes me wonder, are they doing what they say they are? Are they actually as honest as they act. With the events and the attitude of Russ today everything of the past 4 years has been called into question. If management would like to reach out please do, but right now you have a very unhappy customer.

I really enjoy working with Dale, he is super supportive and very caring! I have not worked with too many employees but those that I have spoken to have been very friendly and welcoming. I trust Kelly Automotive because of this staff and how well they are with my vehicle. Small local shop. Only two in the valley I know of. Always honest. Offers different options with different prices depending on repair needed. Warranties their work. I had a minor electrical repair done. I brought truck in for oil change a few months later and they noticed the problem again, which I was unaware of. They researched it before mentioning it to me and let me know it was something they had worked on before and would be under warranty of it had to do with the prior repair.

Very friendly staff accommodated for free a diagnostic on the car I have. Give them a quick call to get service on your car. Seemed to have a large garage for next day service.

I asked Kelly Automotive to inspect a used car for me that I was considering buying from an individual. They were able to do the inspection on the same day that I called to schedule it, which was a significant convenience for me and the seller. For a reasonable price I got the information I needed to make a purchase decision.

After another repair shop promised me to service my brakes and I drove there only to find that they lied, I was panicked and driving from place to place at 2:30 on a Friday trying to find someone to get my breaks fixed before having to go out of town. Kelly Automotive not only bent over backwards to accommodate me, they fixed my breaks in less then 2 hours and had me out the door by the time they closed. They were so friendly and what they charged was less then what was estimated at other places. I will never bring my car anywhere else! There are the best of the best!

Very informative staff who break down all costs

We love Kellys we have been to both their Mesa and Gilbert offices. We always leave Kellys feeling like we were listened to and our needs were met. They are the most honest straight forward mechanics I have ever met. Kellys does a good job of explaining what needs to be fixed on our vehicle then allowing us to make the final decisions. Jeff even called me a week after our car was fixed to see how everything was doing! My vehicle was shaking and making a loud whining noise, it is now so quiet and smooth it feels like a new car! Weve taken our BMW to Kelly Automotive in Gilbert for service 2 times since it opened last year. Both times we received exceptionally friendly customer service and can say that they went well above and beyond our expectations. We have definitely been more than satisfied with their work, and recommend them to our friends and family.

Good customer service and fair prices. They are ultra busy so do expect to have to make an appointment well in advance.

Friendly - however.... I went in for an oil change which went smooth. They notified me that there was a front timing gasket leak. After having the car looked at by a 2nd pair of eyes it was in fact not the timing gasket but the power steering hose directly above the gasket. Dont take their word for the diagnosis they give you.. If I was not such a skeptic I would have coughed up the $800+ dollars they quoted me for the repair which would left me at stat quo. Keep on driving when you consider stopping at this place. Multiple colleagues I work with have also had reoccurring issues when going here for a simple visit. (maybe this is a common misdiagnosis - I am far from a Mechanic )

I just bought a classic 1980 450SL Mercedes and have taken it it to Kellys. Its being worked on now as I am reviewing. I am a single lady and know a lot more about cars than the average man. I asked them to do a tune up on the vehicle seeing the previous owners had informed me that the car had been un-drivin in about eight years. I just received a call from Dale saying that a costly tune up would be unnecessary seeing that spark plugs and other indicators are new. Honesty is key and they have it here! Thank you Kellys!
