I fell behind due to losing hours due to COVID. I called Jamie and explained the situation and told him Id call the next week and try to catch up. I called on the date I promised and was informed that he would not take a partial payment ( the lease agreement does NOT state this). The only thing I can do is save up for the total and hope they dont sell my childs belongings in the meantime. When I finally had the total given to me by Jamie saved up, I was informed that another $100 fee had been added! How am I supposed to save up and pay the total if they keep raising it? This company is UGLY to people in a bad spot!

Dawn, the Assistant Manager, definitely goes ABOVE and BEYOND. She held a storage unit reservation for me day to day so I didnt miss out on availability. Thank you so much for all your assistance in renting on Saturday! It was a really enjoyable experience. We LOVE your outgoing, positive attitude. The rental process was like one stop shopping. Dawn assisted us on the spot with creating & accessing our online account.Dawn has the best customer service we have ever experienced!! It is truly rare to work with someone of your caliber and we sincerely appreciated all your attention to detail.This storage facility is super clean/well lit/easy to access. The hours for access are also super convenient. And the office is open every day!

We are very happy with Life Storage. It is a clean, well maintained facility with a friendly staff who are on the premises. Jamie and Dawn are knowledgeable, courteous and provide exceptional quality customer service. They take the time and effort to meet your needs and answer your questions.We had previously rented a few storage units from a different company . Although it served our purposes at the time, we were scouting for a different location with a different company. The Life Storage website was accurate with storage units sizes, availability and overall general information. I immediately called the Ray Road office and spoke with Dawn. She provided more in depth details and offered tour of facility. Her professionalism made all the difference:)

Everytime I go in and need help, I get it immediately. Customer service has always been excellent. I have had to move stuff in and out of storage and later needed a bigger unit. I was given assistance with boxes, moving van, and asked if I needed anything else, just ask. Great safe, clean space to store my stuff.

Having a storage unit here has been the best experience! Anytime I have gone into the office, all the staff are extremely nice and helpful!! One day I rushed in to add an item so our already full storage and I closed the door and locked the unit. It was later at night, Friday night around 8am. Got a call the next morning around 9-10am saying I didn’t lock my unit. I’m so thankful that they do a check each day to ensure the locks are secure. I did lock my unit but I forgot to slide the mental that actually locks the door before locking it with the key. Without inspecting it, you would have never seen that. I have so much $ in my unit, I’m so happy that they are so through! Today I needed a new unit and I got the pleasure of working working with Sandie. She was helping out for the day but so knowledgeable of all units and was so happy to help me! I came in shortly before closing because I just got off work and rushed over as the online registration wasn’t working so I wanted to get in and get the paperwork done real quick. Sandie took her time to review my orders, as I accidentally made 4 reservations, Woops! She cancelled the orders and got me the right unit for the price that I reserved. Even though they were technically closed at this point, she never made me feel bad or feel like she needed to rush so she could leave. She has some of the best customer service I’ve had in quite some time. We ended up spending about an hour going through all the checks and balances and she even walked me upstairs to make sure I knew where my unit was and that my key was working. I really appreciate all of her hard work and dedication to making customers happy!

This is a really nice store, Dawn and Jamie went above and Beyond for me explaining everything In detail, this was the best customer service I’ve had in a very long time. Extra Space Storage is hands down the best storage place around! The facility is well maintained and super clean! Our family found ourselves in need of a storage unit when our home sold and the new home wasn’t quite ready. We chose extra space based off location and got extremely lucky. Mitch and Holly are AMAZING! They helped us every step of the way and made what was one of the most stressful times in our lives WAY less stressful! Their customer service can’t be beat. My first experience with purchasing a storage unit and what a nice one to have. Staff was friendly from the first hello. Mitch, manager, was extremely helpful when I was trying to figure out the best way to get my king mattress into my unit and then changing to a larger space, it was completely effortless and smooth. Thank you for making this so easy during a stressful time in my life.

Update: I originally gave this place 5 stars, but I have now updated it 4 months later.The good - its a new location and very clean. Signing up at the site was easy and quick.The bad - we just received a notice that our rate is increasing next month. Theres no guarantee on holding price since its month to month and their site does state theyll review from time to time and make adjustments. Apparently that means after 4 months and while their website still has my original rate. Interesting then that itll apply to current customers who already have their belongings in storage. Bait and switch?The ugly - a few months ago the sliding door was automatically opening without entering your assigned code. For a place thats business is around safe keeping, its unfortunate for this to happen. We called the after hours number expecting the issue to be fixed soon. A few hours later we returned with another load to find the door still operating like a grocery store. We called the number again and requested a callback from the manager on duty in order to confirm everything was resolved. We never heard from the manager and I doubt it was corrected until the next morning when the first employee arrived for work.

We are renting from Extra Space based in a recommendation from family. I’ve never used a storage company before but after talking to Holly I feel very comfortable with the process. This was the first time Ive had to utilize a storage facility. It was an easy experience from getting answers to questions to signing up for the proper space. Ryan thoroughly explained the charges including late fees and when they take effect, extras that can be purchased like insurance and a better padlock, as well as ensuring we were able to successfully use our new access code. I was also pleasantly surprised to see that the facility offers large carts for transporting our goods to/from our storage space effortlessly and with fewer trips.

The customer service was exceptional. During this pandemic, they made it very easy to rent a unit, contactless. It was a great, smooth, and efficient transaction. I recommend this storage facility. Very clean.

I have been with Extra Storage for a few months now and during the weekend I forgot to properly lock my storage unit, today I received a call informing me of my mistake. Very quick and easy company to work with I was able to move my stuff in within 30 min of reserving the unit. They also have a very good staff, Christian was very hospitable and helpful over the phone and once we arrived he made our move much easier. Definitely recommend.

Pros: Very clean & Mitch is very friendly.Cons:1)Rate increased right around the time COVID hit. Seems like a bad time to hike rates when people are struggling. Prices are not locked in so price can change month to month which is inconvient if you already have all your belongings stored.2) No bathrooms due to COVID, no where to wash your hands, no sanitizer around the facility, no trash cans in the building, and dumpster is locked- access must be requested.

Mitch took great care of my husband and me. We went in to rent a storage space for extra stuff during house staging and moving and had no idea where to start. Mitch took the extra time to understand our needs then showed us multiple options to suit those needs. He really went above and beyond to make our first storage experience the best ever. AMAZING customer service! Never once had a bad experience. Had them for 6 months and they always call n make sure you are up to date in case your unit goes past a few days over. Very polite! I needed a small unit to store a few things while I was moving. I was able to get a perfect sized unit in no time. The staff was very accommodating and the price was right! I got the first month free! Also. It was close to where I live.

The guys at Extra Storage are very personable and helpful. We requested a large storage room on the first floor which they had available. They made sure we had all the info we needed and even showed us how to go in and out easier. The facility is clean and airflow is good. They gave us a great deal too! There are a variety of room sizes and lots of rolling carts to move your stuff in and out. Definitely recommend Extra Storage for any Storage needs you have!!

Best advertised rate available in Gilbert for this size unit. Reservation was fast and prompted a quick callback from Mitchell. Later in person he was friendly, efficient, knowledgeable and very professional and accomodating. Contract review and completion was quick, paperless and painless, much of which was made available to complete online before I arrived. Building appeared to be clean. An adequate supply of carts in good repair were available to use, as needed.

I highly recommend this location. The personalized service and attentive staff always go the extra mile and ensure everything is clean, and safe. We have had multiple units here for our business and when moving. Five Stars and more!

These people are absolutely amazing. My family and I moved over 1200 miles and had to place most of our house in storage. The first day I rent at Extra Space Storage the guy was nice friendly and welcoming. Due to a death in the family I was out of state for two months. Came in to pay for the storage to move out Mitch was unfriendly to me and my husband. Mitch applied the discount for the move out but continue to say 4 times you can get it and go. Than he stated you will still be able to rent again, but continue to say just get it and go. I ask him why are you saying it to me like that. My husband and I moved everything out and when I walk back to the office the door was locked. There was guest inside the office with him. He finally unlocked the door but motion like you cant come in. My husband ask arent you going to do a walk through of the storage before we leave. He stated you can leave I will do it. Very bad experience.

Their units are brand new, cost was $40 less than neighboring units, and its aircooled inside, with covered parking, you have no idea how awesome that is. Customer service in the front desk is on it every time, couldnt ask for better service/price/unit...
