My daughter gifted me with eyebrows done by Melba at Swan Consulting in Glen Burnie, MD. I was delighted but worried about pain. Upon arriving, I told Melba my concerns and she assured me she would take care of it. There was NO PAIN AT ALL!. She is the consummate professional and knows what she is doing! She used numbing cream and waited till it took hold. She then used more throughout the procedure so that I was comfortable. My eyebrows are beautiful!!! Before the procedure, my eyebrows were sparse and gray. Not any more. If you are afraid, this review is for you. Both my daughters have tattoos and told me that they could not believe that there was no pain but there was not. You do not have to wait any longer. Melba is THE BEST. I first went to her in 2011 for my brows. When I needed a touch up in 2019 I made the mistake of trying microblading with another person. It turned out so harsh and dark and I hated them. Melba came to my rescue and was able to lighten the color and now I LOVE them. I constantly get compliments on them now. I recently went to Melba for permanent eyeliner which turned out even better than I was hoping for. I wasnt sure what style I wanted and Melba helped by talking with me and practicing with an eyeliner pen until it was exactly how I wanted it. I am going back in two days for my final touch up and I cant wait!

I have been researching micro blading for a couple of years now and was nervous about having that procedure done. Especially since I have no tattoos. One day I was online looking at houses and decided to checkout the street view, which led me to Swan Consulting located down the street and around the corner from the house I was looking at online. I visited Swan Consulting’s website and decided to call. I lucked up and got an appointment three months later. Let me tell you something I was not disappointed. You’re treated like family from the minute you walk through the door. The receptionist is very hospitable. She and Melba are just awesome. Melba thoroughly and accurately explains the procedure step by step before and during the process. She’s friendly yet professional. She really takes care of you during your time there and keeps pain to a bare minimum. I am loving my new brows. Experience was better than expected! I was the nervous Nancy not knowing what to expect from pain to the end result. I loved my brows soooo much not sure if I need a touch up. It healed properly and as promised. Her instructions were spot on with the aftercare process. Simply amazing. Ive had very little eyebrow hair my whole life and hated it. With Swan Consulting, my eyebrows look full and so real, I couldnt believe it! Melba is amazing, she is knowledgeable and she explains all the options for your skin type, and the processes involved in the procedure as you are going through it. Melba offers nothing but QUALITY!Let me tell you my story...I arrived at this shop this Christmas but not to have my brows done. My job had a package delivered incorrectly at Swan Consulting and I was tasked to pick it up. When I got inside I was intrigued by the conversation I heard between Melba and a client. They were discussing the eyebrow procedure that was about to be performed and it got my attention. The clinician seemed EXTREMELY knowledgeable. I began talking to the receptionist and I told her the story of my experience in May 2019 with Lash Moi in Annapolis, where I had gotten my brows micro-bladed. I expressed my disappointed results. My eyebrows were crooked, had faded and the tech created a brow higher than my natural brow line on one side because she said my brows were uneven. Months later, as the micro-blading faded, I had to tweeze one brow so it could look as natural as possible. By the Fall of 2019 I was back to brow makeup. I was ANGRY that I spent so much money and my brows looked horrible 6 months later.Melba came out and began talking to me. She told me that what was done to my brows was not the procedure for me. My skin is ethic and oily. I should not have gotten micro-blading and the clinician should have told me that. Melba then walked me through what I really needed. I asked Melba if she could fix my brows. She looked at my brows and thought about what I needed, and said, Yes. I can fix your brows, no problem. And FIX MY BROWS SHE DID! I needed a Saturday appointment so I had to wait two and a half months to get in, thats how booked Melba was. But it was worth the wait. You can see how my brows were ruined. I had been angry about the costly micro-blading procedure I had for months.I AM SO HAPPY WITH THE RESULTS!! The procedure was so painless I fell asleep. Dont get me wrong, you feel a like someone is touching you. But it doesnt hurt. Melba uses a numbing agent that does its job..... It NUMBS. When I had the procedure at the other shop, it felt like tiny blades digging into my skin, over and over again. It hurt like hell, and did not look as good as what I have today.I will be back to let you know how I look in 12 weeks. By then, the brows will be set and I will have had my touch up. I can already expect better results. I felt the difference in how precise Melba was during the procedure, accurately measuring my brows, shaping them with my natural curve and asking me if I approved. I Love my eyebrows!! They make such a difference in my face now. I wish I would of found Melba sooner and had them done. I have always wanted to get my eyebrows tattooed because they were so thin but I had to find someone experienced and I can’t say enough about Melba, she is so talented and trained in what she does she noticed a spot on my cheek. While doing the procedure Melba repeatedly told me I should get this “spot” checked out because she could tell I was brushing it off. This was my second time coming to Swan. My eyebrows lasted almost 2 years before they started to fade. So I knew Melba would do a good job with my brows again. She is very good at helping you choose colors and shapes that work for you. I like that they photograph you before without makeup and then again when you are completed. Melba explains every step of the process as she does it, which helps alleviate any worries or anxiety. The atmosphere is calm with a radio playing in the background, I was so relaxed I fell asleep. If you want great looking eyebrows, this is the place to go. MJ was very helpful when I called to make my appointment. I’m so glad I found Swan. I will be a repeat customer for life!!

I have come to Swan Permanent Cosmetics for my eyeliner and touch ups for about 4 years now. I was absolutely in love with my results and was happy a touch was included and I got many compliments with my eyeliner. They are very friendly and offer a different variety of permanent makeup someone can get. They explain the process of each procedure and made me feel very comfortable. I met Melba through a mutual co-worker, because I was looking for some one to redo what was done to my eyebrows over 5 years ago. Well, lo and behold I was told about her, I called and set up an appt for me and my girlfriend. Melba was fantastic, shes professional, personable and very talented. I also love M.J. My experience with Melba was great and I am satisfied with my permanent eyebrows. Ive gotten numerous complements about them. When I tell people that they were tattooed, they stare a bit closer because it is so hard to tell the they are not real. Melba was very comforting and she explained the procedure and the prices thoroughly for me. I only went for a consultation, but I decided to get them done because I was excited about the design results. There was no pressure to complete the procedure even though she spent a very long time during the consultation to get an eyebrow design that fit me. I simply asked her to design eyebrows that fit my face and I was pleased with her work. The facility was clean and the materials were sterile. I have and would recommend her to all my friends and anyone who is interested in permanent makeup. Ive had this procedure done before and i was happy with the results; however, those results were nothing compared to Melbas. She actually uses strokes that looks like real hair. I must say that she is meticulous, so you know you are getting your procedure done right.

As someone who had a previous bad experience with a permanent makeup artist a few years ago, I was very skeptical about diving back in, however after much research and looking at pictures of end results, I decided to schedule a consultation with Melba figuring it was just a consultation, if I didnt like it, no harm no foul.The clinic/treatment area is comfortable, clean, and well organized. Melba makes you feel as if you are her most important customer and talks to you about her qualifications, the procedures, her recommendations, and answers any questions you may have. At no time did I feel pressured to make a decision or move forward with a procedure until I was totally comfortable.I finally decided on thick upper eyeliner with a natural lower. We talked it over and I chose to do the upper first and follow up a few weeks later with the lower. Melba spoke with me during the whole procedure explaining what she was doing at all stages. This was very helpful for me as I was unable to see what was going on. The pain was minimal at most.To say that I am thrilled with my first round would be an understatement. I cannot wait to see when its finally done! If you are on the fence about this procedure or Swan Consulting Permanent Cosmetics, ponder no further, you wont find anyone better. Melba has completely restored my faith in permanent cosmetics and its practitioners.

Had my permanent makeup for my eyebrows. Have done it before - 4 times - with a great deal of pain. Was told that my skin was resistant. NOT SO.Melba told me that it would not be and sure enough, I could feel what she was doing, but instead of the pain at the top of my eyebrow being a 10, it was about a 2. I waited a little over a month to post my review so I could see the final results. I absolutely LOVE my eyebrows. Its amazing how much of a difference they make in my look. I save 12 minutes a day not having to draw them on. The hair stroke technique looks unbelievably real. I get so many compliments on them and people have no idea they are tattoos. I would recommend this to anyone who may be on the fence. In regards to the procedure, it was painless. There were a few pinches that werent comfortable but NO PAIN. Melba took a lot of time in understanding the look I was trying to achieve, making me feel comfortable and allowing me to see what it would look like before she began the procedure. The aftercare instructions were explained thoroughly. They were simple and yielded my desired results. If I could give Swan Consulting more than 5 stars I would. I can truly say in my Beyonce voice, I woke up like this!

I had my eyebrows done by Melba on November, 29th. They are AMAZING!! I have very sparse eyebrows, but now they are full and look completely natural. I went for the natural looking brows as opposed to ones with power, but both look absolutely stunning. Ive had permanent cosmetic procedures done before Melba worked on my lips, but Ive never experienced anyone with such skill perform a procedure on me. Im a perfectionist, and I am not easily impressed, but Melba has given me beautiful natural-looking lips that constantly earn me compliments, and I would never go to anyone else for any permanent cosmetic procedure if I can avoid it. I love what she has done for me, and I have so much more confidence in my everyday interaction with people because of her. The level of her artistry is unsurpassed in my opinion, and I would recommend her to anyone I know.

I love how my eyebrows look!! I had them done in April. She took time out of her busy schedule to fit me and friend the same day. which is very uncommon due to her being booked through May. I initially had my brows done in Feb this year. Melba started out with a thorough consultation discussing how I want my brows to look, her accreditation, procedures, payment method & a large gallery of before and after pictures. She then drew in brows and we made adjustments to fit my face. My husband was with me (he is a Navy Corpsman) and he asked questions about cleaning etc. Melba welcomed and answered all of his questions. She also shows you the items she uses so you can witness that they are new. By the time she was ready to begin, I did not have a concern at all. The procedure was pretty painless only a few moments were felt around the arch area (which she informed me of in addition to checking my pain level along the way). My follow up appointments were just as pleasant & professional. I would most certainly recommend her to any and every one interested in permanent cosmetics. Lastly, Ill mention that her location is an hour from my home. The distance is not a factor when the quality of work is outstanding.

Melba did a fantastic job in color correction and recreating my brow shape. I had poor work done long ago and improper ink used which discolored to green over time. I also had hair loss and Melba was able to bring back my great arch. She explained entire process so patiently. It was helpful since I had a bad past experience and put off the correction for many years. After getting permanent makeup done at Swan Consulting, I wish I knew about Melba long ago and didnt wait! Shes easy to work with and makes you very comfortable answering all your questions with great expertise.
