Day 1: walked up to the counter with my 2 small dogs on leashes (they are permitted to stay at the Hotel Denver & the coffee shop is in the lobby). Nice gal said dogs were not allowed, could we please wait in the hallway. No problem. Day 2: stood in the hallway with the dogs. Different, crabby woman ignored me for 7-8 minutes, glancing at me occasionally & then looking away. When she realized I wasn’t leaving, she looked up & said “dogs aren’t allowed in here.” I said “I know. That’s why I’m standing in the hall, waiting to place my order.” She grouchily took my order & flipped the screen towards me saying “follow the prompts.” Then turned her back to me. WORST customer service EVER!!!!! I’m a nurse on my first vacation after 18 months of Covid, working four or five 12-hour shifts per week. Instead of having a sign out front telling the customers to “bee nice”, why don’t YOU try a little compassion & basic customer service?
Nikki is the manager here I had the privilege of her making my coffee this morning. Regular hot white chocolate mocha. Megan made the cinnamon roll and Samantha checked me out! These ladies rock. They are so welcoming even so early in the morning. They have great teamwork, communication and customer service skills! See u ladies next week🌞!
The breakfast burrito came slathered in cheese. Therefore, five stars. The coffee is good too.
Out of both drip coffee options at 10a, didn’t tell us, had to wait for drip coffee out of other menu items, staff seemed like they could care less really. Breakfast sandwich and roll were good though.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Coffee and drinks were great! Place was clean and very affordable. Accessible from the walking bridge. We would visit again if we came through this town.
Staff is not friendly at all (at least not the 2 days we have been in Glenwood). Watched one of the ladies drop a man’s fork as she handed him his burrito and said “you didn’t need it anyways” as she walked away. They did not speak to anyone with respect and acted as if any question or request was inconveniencing them. The coffee I got the first day was ok, the flavor was a little bitter and I didn’t finish it. The second day we waited in line but ended up leaving after seeing that the staff was continuing to be rude and could not seem to handle the stress of having a morning rush. Definitely wouldn’t recommend this coffee shop, I’m sure there’s better ones in town.
Latte was pretty good with a lot of alternative milk options. Lots of good seating inside and outside. Very disappointed though with the veggie burrito. Did not taste fresh and was filled with corn which was not what I was expecting. Ended up only eating half. Not worth the price.
Staff were really nice! The coffee was ok. It was the only coffee shop that was open early morning!
Service not friendly at all, felt like I was troubling her. I assume she was having a bad day, but definitely shouldnt take it out on customers. Only reason I gave 2 stars was she made my drink quick and it tasted good.
Very chill place. The two women are friendly and make you feel right at home. Cute little hang out.
I love coming in here for only coffee, and whenever I do the ladies are so rude and unfriendly that it makes me feel uncomfortable.
Excellent coffee and superb service! They offer free refills with drip coffee, and have many alternative milk options for lattes. They have a small menu of baked goods and breakfast sandwiches, as well as some quiches. I very much appreciated the convenience of this coffee shop being connected to the hotel denver, as well as the witty chalkboard sidewalk sign! Loved it!
Amazing Gluten Free Breakfast Sandwich and Ice Mocha. Good vibes staff was on point Will come back soon.
The coffee is really good. However, there is no reason to only have one employee working toward the end of the day. She did a really good job but you could tell she was overworking to get the orders out in a timely manner. We felt bad for her, since it was relatively busy.
Cute historic area location, attached to the Hotel Denver. Chill atmosphere, the two baristas were jamming out to 80s music singing and dancing while working. Yes queens, work it to Madonna! Had one of the best mochas Ive ever had and the breakfast sandwich was very good.
A great breakfast sandwich and coffee. A must stop in the morning to get your day off right.
Only there on two consecutive days. I am so sorry to have inconvenienced them so much.
Outdoor seating - 4 four tops. Offering pleasant views next to the the Vintage train station. Minimal indoor space. Unique flavored espresso drinks. Nice easy stop just off I-70.
Honestly this place isn’t that good. I was traveling through Glenwood and wanted a breakfast burrito. The food is just microwaved and not that great. The girl who was working was kind of rude and unpleasant to me. The food was pretty expensive for microwaved and overall not worth the experience in my opinion.
Amazing coffee! Cant wait to go back!!
Coffee was fine, but the employee handling food orders whose mask didn’t fit properly was off putting. We’ve been expected to wear masks for a year now, this should be common courtesy. Having your mask fall beneath your nose and mouth and constantly pulling it back up and then immediately touching bagels and other food items is unsanitary.
Stopped here because other coffee shops open at 7am and I wanted to get back on the road - I should have waited the extra ten minutes. With a title co containing “coffee house” and only offering a single, brewed coffee - and French vanilla at that - is just a bit misleading. But even more disappointing when that single coffee option being offered is straight burnt and I truly could have had a better cup at McDonald’s at 1/3 the price.
While staying at the Denver Hotel, I stopped in for a quick cup of coffee as the morning started. Was glad to see they had a few non dairy options including coconut milk. Returned a bit later needing a warm breakfast sandwich, ordered a Bacon, Egg, and Cheese Bagel. It was filling, hardy, and freshly made.
This is an adorable coffee shop with even more incredible service and delicious food. I was just searching for a quick easy bite on my way through town and was pleasantly surprised and delighted.
Love River Blend! They serve bonfire coffee, which is locally roasted and delicious. They offer two kinds of drip coffee, the dark French roast and an awesome blend, as well as a full menu of coffee beverages!
The best place for coffee and a breakfast sandwich in Glenwood Springs. Thanks again
Colorado is where I learned to truly appreciate beer, cannabis, and coffee. The coffee at River Blend reminded of why thats true. It was the best cup Ive had since moving away. The two bagels with cream cheese were also top notch, and the person who helped me was friendly and efficient.
Somehow this is the only place in Glenwood that has blended coffee. Unfortunately it’s just about average but better than the other local places since they serve a full menu.
Coffee? Fantastic! Super friendly staff. Cinnamon bun, quiche, ham and cheese croissant, and breakfast burrito all hit the spot.
The girl taking orders was extremely rude and short, in an attempt to rush us even though we were the only people in the whole shop. The hot chocolate is not good.
Ok...nothing great...nothing terrible. Good location.
Overall good experience here. Been several times as I’ve stayed at Hotel Denver. Today was an off experience. Same baristas during both experiences in the afternoon, however the second visit the baristas were a bit rude to me. I usually tip well and don’t complain so unsure what the issue was. They looked at me oddly from the window while I was on the patio.
Coffee was good and warm when we received it. It wasnt busy but there focus was definitely elsewhere. Maybe just an off day.
We ate here 1/25 and 1/26. We were in town for an XGames event. The first day, breakfast was good, I’d recommend some sort of spread for a sandwich without meat. Eggs, cheese and avocado are really bland just by themselves. That being said, the bread is to die for: harvest wheat was great, which is why we came back the next day for it, only to be told it wasn’t thawed out. The young lady behind the counter wasn’t very personable and we wondered if she arrived late because we were there at 630, the bread wasn’t thawed and the keys were still in the door. 🤷🏻♀️Consistency would be nice because this is usually a fun little stop when we are in town.
Honestly this place use to be one of my favorites! They have dank food and pretty reasonably priced. My boyfriend and I loved going there to get their bagel sandwiches. But we noticed that recently for the past 5 times we’ve been there, 4 out of the 5 times they got our order wrong and didn’t put the extra toppings that we payed for on there. First couple times wasn’t a big deal, but it kept happening! It just sucks when you don’t get what you ask for. I feel part of it has to do with the fact that whoever is running the register likes to try and help everyone at once. Not a bad thing, but y’all are getting orders wrong because of it. It’s frustrating when the lady checking you out is talking to people behind you taking orders while also trying to run your card. Other times they get so confused hand us our food and we have to tell them we haven’t even paid yet. Also can Glenwood breakfast companies get something other than Bonfire coffee!?!?!? Awesome that we support local businesses but I really don’t understand why everyone’s so obsessed with that dirt water. It’s horrid.
Great drip coffee and very friendly staff!
Great location with fast wifi through the hotel. Our cinnamon roll and drinks were very good!
Delicious espresso and large breakfast sandwiches. Great little spot that connects to Hotel Denver.
Delicious coffee and tasty breakfast burrito. Very polite and attentive staff. Highly recommend.
The Amtrak California Zephyr had a 20 minute layover in town, so two of us got off the train to get chai lattes. Good variety of flavorful beverages and baked goods, but the staff on this Thursday afternoon seemed almost annoyed to have us asking for a couple of drinks.
This cute little café is in a nice spot right across the street from the railroad museum and has a beautiful view. My husband and I went this morning for some breakfast and coffee and were very happy that we went. We both had a chai latte and a breakfast bagel. The chai was pleasantly creamy yet spicy and the bagel was delicious with the bacon cooked perfectly. I highly recommend stopping by for a taste.
Great coffee fast service.
Cool atmosphere, but not the best coffee. Super friendly staff though
Came to use Wi-Fi... was told to just connect to the hotel (which wouldnt work). So the coffee was an overpriced pointless purchase. The mumbling/sassy response wasnt cool either. There were also other groups and couples here and all were very frustrated with their near hour wait for basic sandwiches. You could tell the workers didnt want to be here and were unorganized. You think 3 people could handle making 12 orders in an hour? Also trying to navigate around these tables and chairs is impossible... too much seating. Oh and also overheard them telling some people to not come back. They were so defensive and couldn’t apologize for anything.
Great breakfast sandwiches. Nice location. Friendly service.
Great coffee! Loved the mix of old and new structure inside this historic hotel/coffee house
The breakfast burrito was amazing! Tast home made and healthy! Would recommend
Really friendly and convenient. Nice setting. Delicious coffee. The croissant was amazing!
Cool place and stunning area view of Colorado
Good drinks and a nice variety of food, including gluten-free options.
I had a warm spinach and feta cheese breakfast sandwich and it was delicious. Its a bit too small for working thou.
Great Coffee, The barista was very helpful with directions to my hotel.
Nice friendly coffee house, great pastries! Breakfast sandwich on everything bagel was outstanding !
Quiche and coffee were very good. Great place for a quick breakfast
Nice Americano and great cinnamon rolls.
Its average
Very, very bitter coffee with not so pleasant after-taste (omgosh, Bluebird Coffee on 8th & Grand is so much better). Expressed this to woman working there when I went in for a latte, and she was offended, like it was my taste buds fault or I should have kept it to myself.I asked her if she was the same company as The Bonfire Coffee in Carbondale, and she said she OWNED both stores. I said, you cut me off, and Im the customer. I tried suggesting they they add another blend when the woman cut me off again. She repeated her feelings again, and I said if thats the way she feels, I wont come in anymore. She stated GOOD.I stood there not believing this was so easy for her to do, but considering the amount of transient traffic of this location I shouldnt be surprised.Ive been going into the Bonfire Coffee in Carbondale where I live to eat and have other drinks because of the bitter coffee, but after meeting this horrible and vain woman, and seeing her contempt for me, I WILL NEVER GIVE HER ANOTHER penny of my business.I will miss the nice people who work there. Probably her family, but people are often not as they seen, like this woman.
Terrible burritos!! I couldn’t even eat it.
Coffee is a bit to butter for my taste but the staff is very helpful
Great coffee, super friendly, patio with amazing mountain views. Also, the fantastic coffee
Great food and great coffee.
Perfect Capuchino!
There’s time enough to buy food from here during a train stop. But burritos only, and no prep, just bag and pay.
Fantastic coffee!
Stopped in about a week ago while staying at the Hotel Denver. Latte was excellent, friendly staff.
Coffee and service were fabulous
Very good coffee, friendly staff
Its the best coffee in Glenwood
Serving was just average.
Nice to sit outside
Fantastic !
Coffee House from the hotel. Normal prices, coffee delicious. When we arrived almost all the pastry was empty, hardly any choice, too bad. But the music and the mood were good :)
