This place has such a 90s vibe to me. While my side salad was a bit sad and wilted, the coffee was great. As was the veggie quiche, and they were not stingy on portions.
I got a quiche. I’ve had better gas station food. The latte was good.
Most interesting and delicious take on a hot roast beef sandwich Ive had. Tortilla soup isnt bad either.
Lattes were par, but their breakfast food items were all wonderful. Enjoyed starting our mornings here with such a wide selection of food, drinks, and treats. Be prepared to keep an eye out for your food order to arrive at the pick up counter. Employees yell celebrity names to let you know your food is ready, but its hard to distinguish what name they are actually calling.
Your typical coffee shop. Didnt have a wait and they made my Americano perfect! Nice way to start the day. There are plenty of seats and options to have a enjoyable breakfast to start your day!
I ordered an iced almond milk latte, but they gave me an iced drip coffee. Strike one. It was undrinkable. It tasted burned and watery. Strike two. My husband ordered a regular latte and he said his was even worse than mine. I threw mine away. It was very affordable, at least. I can only assume their food is much better and keeps them in business.
We came here because it is, surprisingly, one of the few places in downtown Glenwood Springs with outdoor seating. The atmosphere outdoors was just the cozy, relaxing setting we were looking for! Sacred Grounds has way more than coffee; their menu is huge with plenty of comfort food options! That said, the portions were smaller than Id hoped, and the food not as fresh as Id expected. If youre looking for basic, no-frills food, then this is your place--but dont expect anything amazing. Atmosphere & service: 4/5; taste & portions: 3/5.
Young man at counter was nice, yet no knowledge of vegan options. Oatmeal bland-other order was cold bagel with cold slice of cheese-really gross. This was a great place and now feels cheap.
Soups are cold . Don’t order almond milk to substitute for milk in latte . They charge extra on top of normal price. Food was mediocre. Reminded me of hospital food. A medium smoothie cost 7 dollars. Mediocre flavor just go to Starbucks. They also don’t know what the difference between a sandwich and panini is . Literally they just warm it up and call it a day.74 dollars for 3 sandwiches 3 soups and 2 lates and a smoothie. Just go to blue bird. It’s right across this place.
Great little spot. Got some food outside with our dogs. Good food, friendly service.
Good breakfast. I had biscuit with gravy one day and oatmeal the next, they were both delicious.
The day we visited the food was excellent. Fresh and well prepared. Maybe it depends on whos cooking that day.
Good sandwiches. Good service. Clean. Outside dining.
Great little independant, apparently family owned coffee house in Glenwood Springs. Lots and lots of food options to choose from.
Breakfast Burrito was SOLID. Cool spot. Great service.
Coffee was just OK. Bakery was awesome had a nice piece of quiche.
Great bakery..coffee is just ok.
Great service. Food and drinks came out quick and were delicious. Definitely will be returning when in Glenwood Springs
Took way too long for coffee.
Food was very subpar - used to be great but has seriously gone down in quality. The paninis barely had anything in them and were grossly undergrilled - mine tasted funky - for a whooping $11.95 price each. We took a few bites and threw them away. Front house lady was working hard but her helper Yolanda was useless. She tried to get her to come up and help me while I was standing in line but Yolanda ignored her, instead serving herself a cup of coffee and walking back to the kitchen (there was no one else waiting for food). Used to be my go to for lunch but no more.
When I came here in the past great freindly service and decent food. My last visit was not spectacular. The staff was unfriendly, listless, and all they wanted to do is chit chat among themselves. Also wanted to stand around. They used have a bigger smoothie selection and used low-fat yogurt as a based. I noticed that they had slim pickings for smoothies this time and used vanilla ice cream as a base which upset my stomach severely to the point I had to take Imodium ad to stop it. What a disappointment.
The food was excellent and tasty. The servers were friendly and efficient. Prices are affordable
Food was good and the staff was nice
Not impressed with the Americano = watered down. Not friendly vibe although outdoor patio is nice atmosphere.
I ordered a chicken tortilla soup and a chef salad. The soup is clearly scratch made and the chef salad came with twice the amount of dressing (all on the side) than I’m used to being offered! All that, friendly attentive service, a clean bathroom, and a good price point = 5 stars ^_^
Very disappointed in the order they got it wrong. I asked for cream in my coffee none, my wife asked for cream and sugar did not get sugar. Even the other customers orders were wrong.
When you sit down to eat breakfast realize you don’t hear any skillets or grills going, but every order going through punches on the microwave. Less than mediocre. If your gonna do it, do it right like you want to strive for more stars. Guess it’s a chill spot with open tables. If your hungry and don’t want to wait for food then come here.
Worst place in town. There are much better options any corner you turn.
Typical bland tourist fodder. Overpriced.
Fresh coffee and quick service.Chocolate chip cookie was the cherry on top!
Great breakfast burrito with green chili. My husband liked his bagel sandwich as well. Nice atmosphere and great decor.
My order was wrong and it was way to vet priced
Good food good people
Great coffee!!
Very Tasty smoothie, sandwiches where good as well. Wayyy to expensive for a panini, paid 11$ for the smallest sandwich ever. However, everything is made fresh on the spot which is a nice addition, therefore Im leaving 4 stars.
The espresso drinks are relatively bad and very overpriced. They were not busy at all, but the staff seemed to resent the idea of having customers.
The White Cafe Mocha was delicious!
Tasty coffee and fresh bagel/egg sandwiches!
I tend to try and write only positive reviews, and I am also very disappointed in this cafe.I tried to do my work in the cafe over an almond milk latte. The latte (after a generous tip) was nearly $7.00.Fine. I appreciate a good latte, and happily paid for it.I am not picky, and cut people slack and leniency as a matter of course. I would have given this cafe 5 stars if they had gotten the two things right that I came for: coffee and service. An older woman dropped my coffee off at my table after 5 minutes or so.I thanked her, and she walked away without even acknowledging me. I thought that she may have been hard of hearing, but she spoke cheerfully with one of the regulars.Fine. I will settle for a $7.00 latte.Nope. No foam. Hardly any coffee taste.More like a cup of warm milk. The barista claimed that she just wasnt able to make this kind of almond milk foam. It was the fault of the almond milk. This is part of why I am writing this review.I know that you bought that brand at Costco. I know that it foams easily. I make lattes at my house, with my espresso machine.Own your stuff. Respect your customers, even in a tourist town. Trust me, I was here long before you were.
Bagel sandwiches are delicious and staff is knowledgable. Patio is relaxing with ample people watching.
Sacred Grounds has a surprisingly large selection of food for what would appear from the outside to be just a coffee house. Order bagels, bagel sandwiches (breakfast and lunch), biscuits and gravy, just to name a few. They also have a wide variety of baked goods. You also enjoy their varieties of coffee drinks. Eat and drink where the locals eat and drink.
They got our order wrong and then made it terrible while Im sure I was being cussed out. Not worth feeling like youre not wanted and dont matter.
Awesome breakfast and great coffee to match! Worked perfect for us on the go!
We ordered 2 large Iced Cinnamon Dolce Lattes the daughter Im assuming called us up and when I told her they were supposed to be iced she said well I didnt take the order and turned around so we stood there while her mom realized and politely remade them. The young girl definitely stopped me from giving a 5 star Customer service should not be taken lightly. Very good coffee and Ice cream.
Overall not very good. I got the breakfast wrap with egg, cheddar, and bacon. It was cold and the tostitos canned salsa that thy put in the wrap was leaking out. Eggs were rubber, my boyfriend got potatoes and they weren’t hot enough for the cheese to melt. He also got biscuits and gravy. the gravy was really good but it was soggy as well. Iced coffee tasted old. I would just get pastries or smoothies if you come here. Service was not friendly, only friendly person was the one working the register. Asked someone behind the counter for a straw and she gave me attitude
Cool environment bad soup and salad. Salad dressing was old and the soup was not cooked well it was mostly water. Got chicken tortilla and it was basically chicken noodle without noodles and so bland.
Friendly service. Good selection of drinks, breakfast items and snacks. No public restrooms.
Coffee..excellent, as are the bagels. Will definitely return. Clean, friendly with good food.
Phenomenal...never regret going...parking could b better but always worth the walk...the turkado is killer and their smoothies r better than Smoothie King any day...
Would not go here for the coffee. Okay atmosphere. Staff was mildly helpful.
Good place/coffee/service, terrible Wi-Fi. Had to connect to the Xfinity one instead. Not the best place to study if you need a quiet place with the internet connection.
The service was quick and efficient. The food is pretty good. And they name your orders after musicians and actors etc.
A good solid locals coffee shop with a nice cup of joe and mixed menu that is great for breakfast or lunch. Check out their baked goods and sandwiches for a quick meal. Great family that runs this place and they always make you fell welcome.
Took a couple minutes for someone to take my order but the smoothie i got (sea breeze) was absolutely delicious!
Food was good, but asking customers to respond to famous peoples names is dumb. After a 25 minute wait and seeing people who ordered after us get their food but having never heard our assigned Angela Jolie, I went to see what the problem was. They found our ticket in the served stack and said someone else must have taken our food. How about just asking for and using my name to determine the order like everyone else.
Good atmosphere and location. Service wasnt the fastest or the most pleasant, but coffee was good and overall it was a good experience.
Decent food. We ordered the burritos, eggs on bagel, oatmeal and soup. Good taste. Nice services and food is decent. We came again in our short visit.
Love this place!! Great service, great coffee in nice mugs, and delicious breakfast burrito!
I love coming to Sacred Grounds! Everything on the menu is fresh and delicious, with lots of options. The coffee is fantastic as well. I really appreciate having ice-cream available in for a midday treat. The service is friendly, the space is clean, and they have wi-fi. This is a very comfortable space to come write, get work done, or hangout with friends.
My girlfriend and I are both vegetarian. We ordered a salad and a panini. The food was bland and had an awful taste. Truly feels like a tourist trap with no regard for quality. Just go anywhere else.$27 for salad / panini / coffee.
It was a very nice atmosphere to read the paper and sip on some coffee to start the morning off. I really didnt enjoy the breakfast burrito however. It came out really bland and wet for some reason. 💦💦💦
Great food, coffee and very pet friendly
Good coffee but small sizes.
Bagel was just bad, roasted veggie sandwich was nothing special. too expensive for mediocre coffee and food.
Great coffee, friendly service. If its not listed on their menu, be sure to ask! What I love wasnt on the menu, but they do make it, so I was a very happy coffee drinker!!
Nice to find local coffee shops that have a little bit to eat as well. Great for a quick morning to get on the road.
Excellent food! Best bagel Ive had since I left New York. Friendly staff. Thank you!
Good dark roast coffee, had a breakfast bagel and garden salad, they both were great. The prices are very reasonable.
Amazing breakfast. Loved the inside. Great service as well.
Wish I had checked the reviews before eating here.
Poor quality coffee... but it was cold...
Nice little place. Grateful to see they had measurable Splenda in a sugar dispenser so I didnt need to mess with packets.
“Customers only restroom” unless you specifically bought something they yelled if you went to restroom, even if a person you were with had bought something.
Really like this place the cashiers really cute too
Decent coffee but wasnt hot enough. Only one bathroom and long line the entire time we were there. One should not have to stand in line for a bathroom at a restaurant.
Bad coffee, and bland food. Service was okay.Rad little shop though. Big potential!
The chain tea latte was perfection with an asiago bagel cream cheese smear. Thanks for calling my order Brad Pitt. That just made my day😉
Another wonderful experience to have in Glenwood Springs. Come in for coffee, stay for ice cream.
Cozy, friendly, creative. Good variety. Your order is called out by assigned celebrity names. We heard Michael Jackson and Goldie Hawn for peoples orders. Lol
First time Ive been here. It has Good coffee, and good food. It is located in a really cool, old building.
Excellent food, excellent service.
Good coffee and cookies! The older lady here was so nice to my toddler and it made my day!
Good coffee, but not so great service. The girl helping us got an attitude with when we asked where our coffees were.
This is out of a clean restaurant a mouse was inside the is nasty 🤢🤮🤮🤮
Pretty much the most average soup sandwich and coffee Ive ever had. Not going here again
The food is terrible here. Not very friendly staff. Will not be back. Theres better places around.
Nice atmosphere terrible food. Ordered the vegetarian quiche and it is clearly pre-frozen. There was a thick layer of cheese on top to cover it up. It tastes quite disgusting, I ate 2 bites, and left it behind. This is a blatant rip off. The standard slice with a side of cut of old apples and strawberries cost $8.49. This is the most expensive and disgusting quiche Ive ever had across all of my travels.
