I had my eye exam a year ago (2020), and they took extra care in making sure I was 100% satisfied. I just reordered 2 new pair, because Im hard on glasses. They helped me immediately. Great friendly staff!! Almost time for my next exam now. I will continue to do business with this location. Love them.
Make sure you come here for your vision care. I won’t go anywhere else. A very bad experience at the Avondale location led me here. It was a complete 180. Everyone here is legitimately caring and goes out of their way to help. The people here definitely know their stuff and provide the absolute best customer service experience. Try to dig up a coupon or hit the special sales and the cost for eyewear is very reasonable.

Made an appointment for daughter 10:15 am still waiting 11am to be called back for eye exam. Why, make one if youre gonna have to wait way passed original appointment time. Really they also took a person back before us that needed a steroid drug that other place wouldnt do. She should of had to wait especially when they are behind on appointments that people have made a couple weeks before.
Exceptional service from the employee who helped me get a new set of sunglasses. She asked questions about my life activities to help me get the best lens viewing experience and comfort. I was thoroughly impressed and I dont usually write reviews but compelled to give kudos when earned

I went in to get more glasses after just getting new glasses and the tech asked for my glasses to put in a machine to see the prescription and gave them back all scratched mind you they are less than a week old!!! How do you scratch someones glasses? Oh because youre careless and ruined a brand new pair of $800 glasses!!! Im extremely mad and will not recommend this company!!! How careless and unprofessional!!! When I said something they deny it and say they must of been scratched before coming in which is a bold face lie!!! Im waiting for the owner to call but doubt thatll ever happen!!!

Palm Valley Pavilion West has the best customer service you’ll ever receive compared to the Gateway Location. At this location you’re greeted and fully acknowledged once you walk through the door. The staff are extremely friendly and kind. If you’re shopping for the best eyewear definitely check out this location and ask for Cynthia. She’s calm friendly and explains everything to you clearly so you definitely know you’re purchasing the best eyewear.

Dont try calling. It makes you talk to a robot who doesnt have any answers than tells you they are closed (even when the arent closed) when you request to talk to a person.

The assisting staff are very professional and friendly. Dr. James Mills is the first optometrist at Visionworks Palm Valley that has impressed me with his comfort dealing with patients and his thoroughness in offering information. He takes time to ask if you have any questions and actually listens and knowledgeably comments. Because of Dr. Mills, I will continue to visit Visionworks for my annual checkups & glasses prescriptions.
I have been a patient/customer of Vision works since they opened their doors. Dr. Mills was very pleasant and most thoroughly explained my vision test processes throughout the duration of my visit. Both Dr. Mills staff and the eye glass selection staff were very pleasant and helpful.
The doctor was great, he was patient and compassionate. Best thing was when I hesitated between which is better, 1 or 2 he went back and gave me the options again! When I wasnt sure, he gave me the options again without the nasty sigh or the inflection in his voice that said I am stupid for not seeing it. It was great. The office was a bit behind so I am glad I wasnt in a hurry. The doctor totally made up for that.

I had an emergency with my husbands eye glasses and didnt realize it was appointment only. Both his every day pair and his spare needed screws and he cant work without them. The staff without hesitation took them both and fixed them for me. I am so very thankful for them helping me without that appointment. 🙏♥️
The exam portion of my visit was excellent, but when I went to select glasses my experience changed. There were 2 people to help. The woman was assisting someone so that left the man to help me. I was looking for guidance in selection, type, size etc. He never got out of his chair, no offer of help, even when I asked a question. I left frustrated. Guess someone else will make money on the 2 pairs I plan to buy. Never been treated this way before and Ive been wearing glasses for 28 years.
Loved the Dr. who was extremely knowledgeable, a good communicator and kind. The staff was wonderful. My only negative is the place needs a face lift.
My doctor totally took the time to explain everything. We discovered that I have cataracts in both eyes. He was compassionate and gave me the name of a doctor that could take care of the situation.Ill recommend your business to anyone who needs eye care. My husband and I had separate appoints on different days. We both waited 45 minutes for our appointments, I believe because of over booking. Not satisfied with that kind of service, in addition, I waited a month for that appointment.
They never answer calls. Over 30 minutes waiting and still can’t talk to anyone. Doesn’t matter when you call it’s always the same.
I am very pleased with the customer service at Visionworks and with the customer service at the optometrist. They werent trying to rush me in anyway and its a busy time of year for them to so I was really pleased about that absolutely will go back again and absolutely will recommend to my friends
I went in to find a pair of glasses and had the best customer experience with Kristina. She was so patient and gave me feedback on the glasses I was trying on. I have been telling everyone I know if you need glasses go to Visionworks as it was such a great experience and ask for Kristina!
Place is great in person, but trying to get a hold of any via phone is impossible. Ive called 3 separate occasions (during operating hours) and have had no luck with someone actually answering. After 25 minutes on hold I usually hang up
It was my first time but it pays well thanks to the doctor. It was an incredible experience with the exam and the kind of equipment that they have and the doctor was very helpful very much detailed in all the explanations I immediately made up my mind to continue my health vision insurance.
My first experience with Visionworks and it was an excellent! Very efficient check-in process. Dr. Lee is a professional and personable person. As long as she is with Visionworks, I will go back for my annual check-ups. They also at this location had a good selection of frames to choose from and the pricing for lenses and frames seem reasonable.

Do not bother. The people here are extremely rude. They were not helpful and super rude when my husband called about an issue with insurance. We go for our appointment early as instructed and they have no instructions on entry. Tried calling and knocking and someone finally comes to yell at me from the door that we are too early. I won’t give someone my money when treated like that. Waiting another month to have an appointment with anyone else is well worth it to me.

My husband and I had our eye exam at this location. We were very pleased with everyone working there. They were all friendly helpful and was able to educate us on our new prescription and the glasses that were going to work better for us. We left happy and excited about our appointment.
They were ready for me when I arrived. The Doctor took his time with me, answered all of my questions. Even though they were shorthanded, they were polite and friendly the entire time. I will continue to go there in the future.

Staff is very knowledgeable! Front desk staff are very friendly and willing to answer any questions. Optometrist that I had scheduled with was very good with explaining which parts of the eye work and about my prescription. Associates that helped me pick out my glasses were very helpful and accommodating and even helped me pick which styles fit my face and my pocketbook. They are very booked usually, and I can definitely see why!
It would have been 5 stars if their computers werent so slow to check out. Otherwise, all the staff are great!!!!

Had an appointment and after waiting 40minutes past my appointment time without anyone even acknowledging I was there waiting - I gave up and left- why medical people think their time is the only one of value?? Wish we could bill them for their inconsiderate wait times
Roy is great! He helped me by picking out and bringing me frames to choose from since I just came from physical therapy and was hurting. He brought me several pairs in which immediately I was able to pick a pair that I love. Everyone here is so friendly and helpful. This is the second year Ive been here to get my glasses. I highly recommend coming in if you need glasses.

I have been going to Visionworks in Gateway Village for a few years buying a new pair of glasses each year. I have always had good service. I feel I have to write when someone goes above and beyond! Frank listened to my story where my frames were sprung. Another employee tried to bend the plastic back only make things worse (he called over 20 other locations to see if they had my style of frame to no avail) The frames where still barely under warranty but Frank was able to put me into a similar frame and new lenses at no cost! I was so impressed. Cuddos to a company that follows through on their word and takes care of the customer.
Only had 1 Doctor there the day I was there. My appointment was 2:15 pm didnt get to see the Dr until 3:30 pm. Didnt get out of office until 4:05 pm. Had another appointment at 4:30 pm 20 minutes away. Not the best way to spend 2 hours. Not the Drs. fault.

I have gone here for years. I have experienced the various doctors that come and they have all been pleasant and informative. I have also been equally pleased with the service and the glasses I have gotten from the vision department. I come in and they are quick to perform any adjustments I have needed. Their 50% sales is a gray time to purchase new glasses.
Stopped in to see if it was possible for my six-year-old to get an eye exam, they were actually able to accommodate us at that moment due to a late cancellation and were very friendly and helpful about it. The doctor was wonderful, and the optical shop did an excellent job of helping us with the frames. The glasses came in earlier than expected, and we couldn’t have been happier with the service, friendly employees, and great selection.
So upset I called to see if I could order another set of my daughters glasses last prescription As an emergency since the puppy got a hold of them I called they said they get back with me before the end of the day. I waited they never called back so before the end of the day I called again and again they said they called back and nothing I called so many times the following day and they never answer the phoneFinally a call back today due to technical difficulties😊

The doctor was great. The receptionists were unkind. I’ve been there several times and each time I was made to feel like I was an inconvenience and unwelcome. There have been other issues, but they could have been resolved more effectively with the right attitude. I will not return and do not recommend solely for the lack of customer service mindset.
It should never take 2hrs and 29 minutes to have your eyes tested and pick out your glasses. The staff was amazing but the scheduling is a disgrace. Think about what your time means to you.
I was just there with my wife we walked in looking for some glasses she had seen a couple of months ago. they no longer had them in the show room. Roy took the time to look up the model he found them and was able to place an order and have them shipped to this store. I was not going in for glasses but decided to get some there since he was so helpful ask for Roy when you go most people would just say if they are not on the floor we dont have them and he did not do that.
I bought a new pair of sunglasses. Raquel had to adjust them to fit my face. She was great! Patient, courteous, and professional. I would recommend this location and Raquel!

These folks are straight shooters, no beatin around the bush. You tell them what you want and they deliver. They aren’t the cheapest but are reasonable and extremely professional.
The doctor was so down to earth and explained everything so we really understood. Also, he took his time which was very refreshing from the last time we saw an optometrist. This appointment was for my teenager but I will definitely go there for my next eye exam.
Not a great experience, the Dr was about as warm and friendly as an iceberg, then I paid $170 for a pair of RayBan frames and when I went to pick them up, they were the display frames with lenses put in them. The frames have scratches all over them (because they were handled a hundred times) and I was told that the displays are the frames they sell. I’ll never use Visionworks again, poor quality and customer service.

I had a great appointment. Eye doc was a very nice man. Explained about why my prescription changed drastically. All the others were nice. Got new glasses and didnt have any issues. All experiences are unique, and Im glad I tried them even though their rating wasnt great. Joyce helped me with my glasses. She is extremely personable and went above and beyond my expectations. The other gal was very nice too. But I dont remember her name.
Everybody was very professional and friendly. I was seen on time and the appointment went smoothly. My only complaint would be once I returned to pick up the glasses I picked out, I noticed there was makeup caked on the nose pieces. I asked for cleaner and tissues and cleaned them before I tried them on. When a customer is buying a product it should be given to them clean.
Friendly professional efficient service. I couldn’t have asked for any better, plus they accept VSP insurance. I recommend this place. As for the glasses. There are so many to choose from!

I called in to Goodyear location after having a difficult time at the Avondale location. Spoke to a lady named Angie, who I think is the office manager. She was so nice, professional and really knew what she was doing. Was able to take me as a walking which I greatly appreciate. Service was great and they had a good selection of eye wear. I will definitely be visiting them again if needed. But definitely wont be going back to Avondale location. That location has no idea what they are doing.

The store was busy, it’s always busy but the girls were multi- tasking and helping everyone. I was in and out with my repair and on my way quickly. The girl recommended that I get a new pair so I’m scheduling my exam in a few weeks when my insurance kicks in.

Its was a very fast visit. Once checked in for my appointment the doctor took maybe 15 minutes before getting to me. He did his tests and I was looking for frames within a half hour of being there. Quick, simple and very thorough

The Dr. and staff were kind and accommodating. I purchased glasses and sunglasses. My friends say I overpaid. I hadnt bought glasses in years so I had no point of reference...lol. After checking around I think it was about average. But... Melinda who helped me with eyeglasses was so patient and knowledgeable it was well worth it. I didnt feel rushed. Customer service is underrated but too often the first thing we complain about.

Avoid this place by all means possible. If I could give a 0 star that is exactly what I will give. I had the worst experience of my life. I spent Over $700.00 on 2 pairs of glasses. I could not wear any of the glasses cos the glasses kept dropping off. I went back 6 times to get it adjusted instead they kept bending the glasses. It was so bent they could no longer fit in the cases they came with. I was so frustrated, I went in told them I was done. I asked for a refund.
I’ve always had a good experience.... easy scheduling my appointment online .... fast to be seen and when ordering my contacts and glasses I never feel pressured to buy or feel like I need to add things I don’t want.
Just because individual people have bad experiences with this place doesnt make this location bad. There are some workers there who can be little awkward but I would definitely recommend to come when Belinda is working. She is sooo sweet, helpful and will do her best to make you happy. I have never had an issue with her and would recommend her to anyone I know.BELINDA you rock!

The manager was very rude. This is the first time I’ve had insurance and wanted to understand what they were charging me. I called because my insurance said they charged me for something that was covered by insurance. When I questioned the manager she said she was busy with other customers and would call me back I called her early morning and didn’t hear anything from her till 2. She was rude and told me that she was explaining the whole thing to me if I would wait instead of answering my questions. I will not go back here and I will be called corporate to fill them in on how their management treats people.
