THIS is the shining example of how to make an ice cream spot that is accessible to people with dietary restrictions! Every ice cream place in the country would be smart to follow their example, and its crazy how few have at this point. I was stoked to see so many options for dairy free ice cream that wasnt just an obligatory, sad single flavor of whatever Dole Whip is. It felt great to have several options that I could actually eat, so much so that I was bummed I couldnt order them all at once. If I lived in GR I’d be at Frosty Boy weekly.

Great local place with tons of options for people with dietary restrictions. Ive come here a couple of times and every time is fantastic! They also recently added edible chocolate straws so thats a plus! Just make sure to finish your shake first before eating up the straw unlike me lol.

Its good, but nothing Ive had from here really sets them apart from any other ice cream parlor in the area. Theres always a huge line and their parking lot is never easy to get in or out of. I usually decide its not worth the wait and go elsewhere. The only time Im willing to wait in that long line is if I want ice cream after 9 PM, because they do stay open until 10 during the summer while every other place in the area closes at 9.

Fantastic! Stopped here when there was a long line, and it was very well worth it. Tons of fun options, including vegan and gluten free.

Frosty Boy had some of the best flurries Ive ever had, especially the Allergen! My wife is vegan and its certainly the best vegan ice cream in Grand Rapids. Its pricey but worth it for a special treat ($15 for two medium flurries for my wife and I last time)

Delicious. I am an ice cream fanatic, theirs is rich and creamy and flavorful. Lots of options and variety that dont have chocolate or nuts which is important for my family. There are gluten free and vegan options too for those that worry about that. Great customer service.

I enjoyed the lemon vegan ice cream. My family had their stuff and enjoyed it. It was a good time. Its highly recommended. The workers there were amazing.

I was lucky enough to find them without a line to the street, for once. When I drove up I saw them all wearing masks and gloves. I ordered a large HF Sundae. Yum! Was roughly the size of 3 small cones worth of ice cream. Would have preferred my spoon factory wrapped. But perfect experience otherwise. Thank you Frosty Boy! See you again, soon. :)

I love Frosty Boy! I always have a good experience while there. My dog likes going and enjoys his doggy sundae and my mom had a good time too. We got medium flurries and it was a good portion! We didn’t finish all of it.

The dairy free options are awesome! Its always nice to be able to visit other cities and have dairy free options! The ice cream was perfectly sweetened. My teeth did not hurt after having a small cup. Would definitely recommend.

This place is great for a summer treat. Lots of choices, so many choices. The crew behind the glass is amazing. They move fast and the line moves pretty quick.

Best spot for soft serve in the city. We love the lemon twist with fruity pebbles for a sweet and refreshing treat you won’t find other places.

Have to say what a amazing ice cream parlor. Came just before closing and had a banana split on my mind all day. Not only was the young lady at the window friendly, but had a great personality. Then when I received my ice cream it was well put together and the girls were also very nice. And were very friendly when I asked for a lid. I will be back and recommend them to everyone. Thank you and everyone that works there.

Really the perfect treat on a hot day, we got ice cream, shakes and a flurry, and everyone was really happy with their choices. The marshmallow shake was especially delicious.

Nothing beats being gluten free and finding a sweet spot where you can indulge in the BEST soft serve ice cream, GF waffle cones, and GF toppings you’ve ever had! The lemon and vanilla twist topped with GF Kind Lemon Crumble bars in Frosty Boy’s epically delicious GF waffle cone was deserving of multiple trips! We need a Frosty Boy in DC!

I would usually give frosty boy a 5 star review because I love the ice cream and the service there they are mostly great I usually love my experience. But yesterday around probably 7:00pm I went there to order me and my significant other some ice cream, I had waited patiently in line just like everyone else but once I got up to the window to order I had noticed the employee had some sort of an attitude in her voice so it made me uneasy and once I recited my order she had gotten very frustrated with me because I had worded my order wrong so she very aggressively recited my order to me exactly what I want so instead of giving me an attitude and being rude about it why didnt she just write down what she knew I wanted. After I had concluded my order I heard one of her co worker ask if she wanted to go home and she very loudly yelled yes. Once I had gotten my order I had asked the co workers what her name was they told me it was Elissa im not sure if its spelled Alyssa or Elissa She had Blonde hair and black glasses frame but please discipline her about right customer service because I olmost dont want to come back to frosty boy from how much Alyssa or Elissa soiled my experience

Great ice cream! I got the M&M flurry with hot peanut butter and my fiancé got a fudge brownie flurry and they were delicious! They have a good pace of service and don’t keep you waiting too long for how busy this place is.

Large menu selection with choices for everyone including your dog. They have food / snacks as well as a large selection of ice cream treats. I had a chunky monkey sundae with Michigan pot hole ice cream. It had a good amount of ice cream and toppings. A large made from hard serve ice cream for just under $6.

A good line of people and cramped parking, but quick and efficient servers meant the wait wasn’t too long and there were dogs to fawn over and pet along the way. Loads of choices and blizzards and sundaes and hard and soft ice cream and lots of bananas and yumminess.

The Flintstone is hands down the best i have had.

Frozen bananas and note on Friday afternoon barking dogs at the ice cream shop they were a nuisance to enjoyment hope they have video of two barking dogs and in this heat one left in blue car.

I got the gluten and dairy free twix flurry and it was SO GOOD! It was wonderful to eat a flurry for the first time in years and not get sick afterwards. I cant wait to try other flavors!!

We caught Frosty Boy on the final night of the season and the atmosphere was festive, yet a little sad knowing we will have to wait for spring to have it again. The flurries we had were filled with goodies and the soft serve was creamy.

Great little neighborhood ice cream place. They have all of you standards from soft serve to Ninja Turtles popsicles. Can get quite busy on hot weekend days, but well worth the wait. The staff are really friendly and helpful and do their bests to get quick turnaround times on orders.

Frosty Boy is where dreams come true. I felt like a little kid with the level of excitement I had at this fabulous establishment. Ice cream treats that are BOTH dairy free & gluten free are so hard to find. I had a cookies and cream flurry (GF, DF) for the first time in years, and it was AMAZING. I will definitely be going back to try more, like their waffle cones!

Easily the best soft serve ice cream shop in GR. My favorite is the lemon vanilla twist. They have two flavors of Vegan soft serve, vanilla and one rotating, usually coconut based.

My friends and I all love the puppy chow flurry and come often whenever it is the flavor of the month. We love everything here though and visit often regardless. They always handle the line promptly and its worth the wait. The parking lot is rough sometimes so we usually try to avoid it altogether - ive been stuck trying to get out of spots before, but they do their best and it definitely doesnt keep us from visiting. Highly recommend!

This place has great selection of Sundaes and broasted chicken. Good place to have ice cream during the summer.Last time I visited, I placed an online order with some 4 sundaes when I needed only two.The lady who took my call was very helpful and was kind enough to refund my money even after the order was ready.

I would give this zero stars if I could. My mother fell yesterday in-front of the store. She was helped up by two men, she asked for ice because she hit her face ( on the cement) and broke her glasses. The young lady told her they don’t have ice. REALLY??!! She also said they didn’t have any sympathy for her at all, while insinuating she didn’t fall. My mother and her sisters (6) grew up on Lafayette right around the corner and have went to Frosty Boys for many years. For this to be the last memory of this place is sad!

Excellent as always. We live over in Cutlerville, so its a little drive to get out to Plainfield. But the ice cream is worth it. Might have to try some of their food some time.

A neighborhood classic, I’m really glad it’s back. Walking there makes for a perfect end to a weekend evening. Large selection and plenty of the classics covered from Popsicles to swirls. They even have sundaes available for your dog to if you bring them.
