We enjoyed our visit to this Eastown neighborhood favorite. They serve up generous scoops of handmade ice cream in tasty waffle cones or by the bowl in interesting flavors like cherry turtle, orange sickle, sugar cookie and a couple vegan options. Shakes, malts, floats and sundaes round out their menu. Cute seating out front or on their back patio.

Fantastic Ice cream. Good selection of vegan and gluten free options. They make their own cones, and they are perfect to take for a walk around the neighborhood, or sit out back and soak up the shade.

Love love love their ice cream and waffle cone! The ice cream consistency is perfect. Unfortunately staff here are not very friendly. Been here multiple times and service is always a miss.

The flavors are unique and delicious, and the ice cream is wonderfully creamy. There are “flights” if you’re feeling indecisive (or adventurous), but my personal favorites are the Samoa cookie and “D’ough!” flavors. Flavors rotate regularly.

I love going here, they have the best home made waffle cones in GrandRapids. Their Ice cream is just as good. I can never complain about the Ice cream or the service of their workers.

Excellent ice cream. I especially love getting it as a milk shake. Went there a bit too much back when I used to live in Eastown lol. Only thing is that it is pretty pricey and you can definitely find other delicious ice cream spots in GR for much cheaper. That being said, Furniture City Creamery is definitely its own thing and always has several and delicious GF options so I think its well worth the money.

I love Furniture City! their ice cream is absolutely amazing, just a little pricy. But every once in awhile, its worth the price. Good vegan options and the staff is always really friendly.

Pretty good ice cream, not great service/communication. I’d been ordering once a week from them through Ubereats during the pandemic and I’d really come to look forward to it. Then one day I tried to place an order and the app said they were closed until the following Monday. So I “patiently” waited and tried to order through the app again that next Monday and the same thing happened. So I waited more until another week, then scheduled a delivery for the time they said they’d be open, but called them too just to figure out if they were actually closed. When I called the woman who answered was kinda short with me and just said “we don’t do UberEats anymore.” And I said, “so it’s still listed as an option on your website and has been for weeks...but it’s not available at all” And all she said was “yup.” And I was like, okay, um thanks. Then she hung up. Kinda rude and for real, if you no longer offer delivery- which I think is a crying shame-don’t advertise that you do cuz it’s seriously disappointing to any faithful customers stuck at home craving your treats.

When looking for something sweet we checked this place out. Its cute and the choices are limited but creative and flavorful and they offer shakes. After we sampled a few flavors and settled in on my flavor of choice I asked to make it a shake. They stated they only make shakes in spcific flavors since they start with vanilla and add flavor. Well that is a first for me. Never been to an ice cream shop that offers shakes that cannot make it from any flavor. Millk, ice cream, blend, serve. So scoop in a cup it is. 🤨

Ive been here a few times now, this time I got a scoop of the grasshopper which was delicious, it tasted a lot like thinmints 👌 Ive never had any complaints and always enjoy it here; nice atmosphere, clean, and space to eat outside.

One of my favorite Ice Cream Places in town! I love to try their new creations, one of my favorite flavors is their Fruity Pebbles one. They offer vegan options and other treata such as sundaea, sandwhiches and bowls. They are even dog friendly!

The ice cream is good. I get the fact that it is fresh... and the draw of vegan items. Its just not SO amazing to be as overpriced as it is. I guess Im just a cheap SOB, but I would rather buy 48oz of Hudsonville Ice Cream for $5 than pay $24 for 2 scoops and a pint. Its just not that much better IMHO.

It was okay however the price is way too much its ice cream not gold not even edible gold thats just crazy had it been my kids or entire family and not just I and a friend... we totally would NOT have went to this place as it was almost $7 for one single scoop of hard ice cream with some peanut butter sauce on it in a dish! MY Friend ordered a pre-made up mixture and hers was almost $10 for two scoops of ice cream and a couple of toppings one that was whipped cream and another that was sprinkles thats nuts I dont care if you made it homemade and its all natural milk organic everything it still should not be priced at high thats just ridiculous!

We are from out of state and looking for a fun way to end the evening. Ice cream was very delicious. Made onsite with natural ingredients really help the flavors. Added the brownie bowl to my sundae with cookie and creams and a chocolate hard cap was a great choice.On the way out I saw the hostesse add fresh whipped cream. Went back and had her give me a shot. Now my sundae was perfect!!

Really good icecream, not a ton of flavors on offer but what theyve got is high quality, unique, artisan stuff. I really enjoyed the one that had locally sourced donut pieces in it. Its is a bit on the pricey side but definitely worth it. The staff are great, and while there is an outdoor seating area it is a small walled in courtyard behind the store.

I experienced an unflattering interaction with staff which was beyond unprecedented in todays national climate. I intended on simply enjoying my ice cream but instead, the young team member had a negative counterreaction towards every inquiry I made and insulted my intelligence. I couldnt identify if the team member was male or female and I dont want to misidentify their gender so I will refer to them a Zir.Zir refused to scoop my ice cream in the cone I paid for and then insisted on me scooping it myself in my truck.. I was perplexed. I told Zir I didnt want to make a mess doing it myself and I would appreciate it if they could do it for me. Zir THEN proceeded to tell me that a mess will be made in my truck with the cone anyway. I was infected at this point and I gave Zir a piece of my mind and said that they failed that evening on providing customer service.As I mentioned to Zir, I didnt want to write a review but as a consumer and a business owner, I was compelled to write this for the business owners sake. The ice cream tastes good but the customer service was horrendous.

Very friendly service and the ice cream was awesome! I’m not sure why people are complaining about the prices/sizes. I got plenty for $4.50 and that’s actually pretty standard-on the cheap side for homemade ice cream... it’s not exactly Mooney’s or some standard brand.

Space is a little cramped but its not like they can do much about it (Im assuming). The prices are a little high for the portion and taste but definitely not a bad place to be. Tons of opportunity fliers are both in and outside the building which is pretty neat to be looking at while eating good ice cream. Helps to plan out which other dates we should on after being here.

I felt it was a bit pricey, have had better sundaes for that price.

Furniture City Creamery is a local ice cream shop in a cool part of town with shops and restaurants. The shop itself is more like a parlor with patio seating in the back. We went right before they closed for a few weeks in the winter so pints were on sale. They let you try every flavor and the smore one was a winner. However, compared to other ice creams, this one was more watery and less flavorful.

Great flavors. Great staff. The first time I went there I had a molasses cookie flavor and it made me tear up because it tasted exactly like the molasses cake my grandma used to make. She still makes it, so dont worry, shes still alive (but this is a real anecdote).

Very good ice cream. A little on the expensive side, but a good splurge. Also very cute outside seating in the back.

Really interesting ice cream options. You can go there to get just about anything youre in the mood for. Its also about higher quality than a lot of the other ice cream shops in the area, or stores that serve ice cream. Its perfect to stop by here if youre walking around Grand Rapids, but I wouldnt suggest trying to sit down and eat your ice cream there. Its set up more like fast food, but has significantly better quality of then most fast food establishments. Id recommend this place especially if you are walking through Grand Rapids on a warm day. Pick up some ice cream from there and then go sit in the park, its perfect.

Absolutely the best ice cream Ive ever had. People often suggest frozen yogurt or quick ice cream from somewhere else and I just cant go back. I spend way too much money here.

The flavors here are certainly unique, and its nice that they have more than one dairy-free option.... even if the ones that they have are less than inspiring. And theyre incredibly over priced for a very small serving (my small, and i mean small, cost nearly $4) and waffle cones cost over a dollar more to add..... yikes.The customer service is awful. I walked in around 3pm to an empty store, was not greeted by the two employees there at the front. I asked for a couple samples and it truly felt like I was a huge inconvenience to the older lady who helped me. She was very short with me, and I didnt feel welcomed at all. I quickly paid for my cup and left.I probably will never go back here, and frankly Im disappointed. As someone who is dairy-free, I like to have options! But this last visit left a bad taste in my mouth.

Awesome place! Ordered the van donut ice cream cone with two scoops. The ice cream was good but the cone was my favorite part. Hand crafted and delicious. They have a few vegan options as well but I havent tried it. Will come back again. Spent 5.95 for double scoop cone.

Im editing my review from 4 years ago because Furniture City Creamery came out with their vintage ice cream truck on 7/31/21 for my engagement party, and I couldnt have been happier! Libby was super nice and the ice cream, as always, was delicious. The truck kept it cold and everything with the booking process was so easy. The owner was super helpful with questions and really responsive. I cant say enough good things! Thank you!!

Quite possibly, some of the most unique flavors in ice cream can be had here.On a recent visit, the latest flavors included sweet coconut, chocolate malt, and even potato chip flavor ice cream! o.o Wow!I say latest flavors, because theyre always coming up with new flavors.And so, some of the flavors available can change from one visit to the next.Makes for a bit of an interesting random element that no other ice cream parlor in the Grand Rapids regional area is matching, to my knowledge.I tried the chocolate malt flavor, ice crean, and I loved it a lot!

We live in the area and love the restaurants on Cherry St. This shop is trendy and clean. The idea is cool. The ice cream is okay (too sweet for me...) but there is ONE THING THAT MADE OUR FIRST TIME HERE OUR LAST TIME HERE. That one thing is this. We were treated terribly by the staff. The girl in the black beanie was very rude. The menu was not prominant and when I asked a simple question about the pricing and cone options she gave a frustrated gesture to the board behind me. I saw the prices, ordered and then found out that price indeed did not include a cone which is what my question was about. She acted as if she didnt want us there but they took our $20. There was no welcoming feel whatsoever. I guess Ill never understand businesses that treat customers this way. Ill never go back and Ill spread the word.

Great boutique ice cream shop

This place has ice cream with the best flavor that you will find in the city; they are all strong and natural. The value could be better, you dont get a large portion for what you pay. Id probably go 4.5 stars it that was an option but Im just too cheap. Other places provide a slightly inferior product but give you 3 times as much for the same price.

There are two places I want to go for the best ice cream in town, and this is one of them (the other is Loves in the Downtown Market). Furniture City Creamery always astounds me with their amazing flavors, excellent quality ice cream, and a line of people overflowing out the door. The establishment is rather small, but they do have a small back patio to sit in. You will not be disappointed if you go here, a must visit for ice cream in the summer!

I would like to suggest you have classes or write a cook book... Solely so I can learn how to make fruity pebbles ice cream. Because that is best ice cream ever, and I am not a frequent flyer of your location, but I do crave that and it hasnt been there the last few times Ive gone.

Ice cream was great; fun flavors you dont traditionally see. The lady that helped us was very patient.
