The lady working was not friendly or helpful. I’d highly recommend going to a different auto store even if it’s out of the way. I called a different advanced auto parts and they were extremely willing to take care of what I need and very kind.Hope this location can be more personable and helpful in the future.
Didn’t have a great experience here. The staff was unwilling to help read the OBD II codes for my car and belittled me as I tried to help. The classic sexist auto shop experience 👍🏼
This store was great for years, until the last few months. The new manager is rude and reminds you constantly that SHE IS the manager. Won’t warranty parts that are still supposed to be covered. She won’t open the store on time. She always gives me the wrong parts. RUDE RUDE RUDE! Even my kids thought she was extremely rude. I can’t shop here any more.

This location is customer friendly. I had an emergency situation with my truck and Brian went over and beyond to assist me with safely getting back on the road. He was honest and very helpful. Brian keep up the good work. We need more people like you in our communities.
Not very helpful and never seem to have parts, but they will sell you a battery if it is in stock or send you to another store in grandview.
Know what you are looking for all you get is an item number if you ask for a part Not much more help other than that
Terrible service ! Ordered brakes and they claim to he order didnt go through ordered again and again no delivery . A waste of my time driving to pick up the brakes 2 times and ordering 2 times 2 hours of my effort only to not get service . So disappointed and I reschedule 2 times to he mechanic.

Guys are friendly but not my favorite auto parts store. They will not help you like another auto store does change your windshield wipers, change a light bulb in your rear tail lights, help you put oil or antifreeze in your car and more. As a woman who does not know how to do these things it is so helpful when you go to an auto parts store and they are so helpful and assist you with these things.

Watch out for the prices being different when you check out than shown on the shelf. I paid $8 more for a gallon of oil than I should have. I called, had all of the receipt information which they confirmed, but they could not just put it back on the receipt. Now I have to drive all the way there again just to get this money back. It is easier to just submit a claim on my credit card than to deal with these guys again. Fortunately I have found a different place to purchase my auto supplies from.
I always had good experience with advance and i always recognized the older employee is very nice but, this time this other younger employee was rude and didnt care about what he was doing, if that’s all there was I wouldn’t write the review.I ordered online and i went to pick up and this is what i got, a box that was water damaged and rusted break pads, They need to check up on this guy and also the inventory to make sure you are not giving customers damaged and rusted items.

Terrible customer service now. This place used to be good. Not sure what happened but the employees (including the supervisor) rather play on their phones and hassle you about your return than do their job. If I want to return an unused product (ahem this same young guy was already mentioned by other reviewers) than JUST DO IT. That is literally part of your job. Very lazy. Typical. We will never return here. OReily is better!

Always had good experiences with employees and staff. Allowed me to borrow tools and work on my car in parking lot after I bought the part of course lol but still a very pleasing experience besides spending my money lolNever an issue.Prices are not always the lowest compared to competitors but I’d rather spend a few more dollars and have good service.

I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to interrupt you doing nothing. Lmao. Went in on a Saturday afternoon to buy some things for my truck but I needed to clarify which one on the shelf I needed as there were a couple different options. I had to suggest to look up my year and model on the computer to pull up the specs and I’ll be able to eyeball the one I needed. Might as well have spoken a made up language, but the folks at auto zone were awesome and made every effort to help, including calling the Grandview Missouri Advance Auto to see if they carried the part # I needed. When the lady at Auto Zone got off the phone with Advance, she said, “No wonder they don’t get any business.” Lmao!! Next day, I picked up my part from Auto Zone.
Good guys work here. I am not always happy with part prices at most auto part retailers but sometimes the part you need just has to be brand new and you cant wait for an online order. But I do trust a lot of the workers at this location for information.

A great place for boys to grow and become great scouts. Food leaves room for improvement, but cant complain since scout camp cost for 10 day camping is more than great. I would gladly pay more if food improved

Went to get my battery checked. They told me I didnt have to come inside they would send someone out in a minute to check it. I waited 20 minutes then recalled. They then told me I had to come in. I went in and they said they couldnt check it because they had customers. There was 1 customer and 2 employees. Once he realized I was going to wait inaide he then came out to check the battery. He said it was reading bad but he didnt think it was the battery that I should take it to an auto shop. The auto shop said it was the battery. I went back to advanced Auto and asked how much the battery was he didnt want to tell me. He said didnt we already tell you through the auto shop? The other employee said the price is different. He then gave me the price and said what you want to buy a battery? I said thats why Im here. He started ringing me up. I asked if they would install it. He said no, its too dark. There are plenty of lights in the parking lot. Not a problem to see exactly what theyre doing. I wont be back.

Absolutely shocking. I had a defective part with a receipt. I came into the store and handed the receipt, and not just a receipt but a commercial parts invoice, and part to Jason at the counter. He took it and looked at it looked at me then went in back for like 10-15 mins. When he came back to the counter very rudely told me he called the store where the part was purchased and they couldnt remember selling it to me. What!?!?!?. Are you serious?!?!? Then told me he was unable to do the return!!! So hold on here lets just review. I purchased a part from advanced auto 1 week ago and it quit working and left me stranded I now Im treated like the criminal!!! Very insulting and embarrassing. The only good thing I can say about Advanced Is that when I promptly called the district manager he sounded genuinely apologetic and concerned about what happened. Come on, get your act together Advanced. In particular Grandview MO location.
Looks like Jrs Jrs writes bad reviews at every place they go. Maybe its not the stores but the customer. And why dont some of you try working retail to see what kind of bullshit these sales people have to put up with from the public plus 3 or 4 phone lines ringing before you trash them. Maybe then you wont be so hard on them. This store has more stock parts on the shelf than the competitors in the area. Always had what I needed.
Very bad service, they answers the phone in our customers right on hold, doesnt ask any questions or anything I called 10 times in a row in Jake put me on hold every time!! Beside the customer service inside the store is worse. That store needs 2 closed down completely or a new staff

This location is reliably unreliable. We order commercial parts from Raytown location even though this store is less than a mile away. Normally for us it’s a joke how bad they are but every now and then we will order from them to see if we can get simple parts quicker than from the 20 minute drive from raytown. We are always disappointed with the grandview store. And the staff and manager Dave would rather place the blame on us than to simply send the part.
I understand when a store is very busy it may take a minute or 2 to get my questions answered, but there is no reason that I should have had to wait at the store for an hour to get the part that I needed. After taking several customers first that had come in after me, Jose knowingly sold me the wrong part. He was very rude, and treated me like I didnt know anything because Im a woman. He told me it would work just the same. And when I went back to return the part he then told me that they dont make and cant order the right part. Really? It was ridiculous. He obviously didnt care about my business. I have been a loyal Advance shopper for as long as I can remember, but last night was the last time I will ever go to Advance for my auto parts. I took the $105.68 that I spent on the part at advance and went down the road to AutoZone where they didnt have the part in stock, but could order the correct one and have it for me in less than 24 hours. So, long story short, dont shop here.
