This place has a great atmosphere and the people here were very nice. The coffee and food here is also very good! I know I’ll be coming back here to stop in for some more coffee for sure! They have a great selection of sweets here too!

Today, I was lucky enough to stumble in to cafe by the name of Something’s Brewing. Knowing nothing about this small cafe, I entered only hoping to score a cookie above the grade of the sandwich shop cookie. What I found after taking only one step into this magical place, was a something only famous writer’s should attempt to describe. After agonizing over what seemed to be an impossible choice, one amazing lady presented in front of me something more beautiful than the Grayslake autumn afternoon. A pie that could make mice give up cheese. A dessert that ruins vacations. Pumpkin pie so good that I’ve sworn off dessert. My eyes have been opened. Everything is ok now. This world can’t be too bad. This pie exists.I wish I had a photo, but all I can remember if the feeling I had.

Somethings Brewing is a great local coffee shop with an extensive food menu of tasty dishes, a large selection of delicious baked goods, and a ton of confectionery treats.The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, the shop is maintained clean, and the prices are quite reasonable for the quality.Overall, I highly recommend stopping by for breakfast or lunch. They make the best Chai Tea and the soup specials are always great.

Always a delightful experience in this awesome bakery and cafe! The girls are very customer focused and I love their fresh breakfast cuisine, they bake an amazing muffin selection and tasty breakfast fare, not to mention they also have phenomenal lunches for every palate. Ive been coming here now for over ten years and will continue to patronize my most favorite Lake County restaurant!

I usually come here before or after work since it’s right there and I’m always greeted with a smile and a warm welcome. The menu has so many delicious options and I’m never unsatisfied with what I order. Love you guys, keep doing what you’re doing

Only down side is they are not open 24hrs. Great bake goods, coffee/drinks, and terrific salads and sandwiches. A true hidden gem, only the locals know about.

Cozy, comfortable and a great selection of muffins, cookies, sweet treats and breakfast meals! I had the blueberry muffin (delicious!) and an almond milk latte. My friend had a breakfast and said the potatoes are really great. To keep people safe, they are limiting the number of guests and allowing a sat of 30 - 40 minutes. The employees wore masks and gloves. Very nice place. I will be back.

So many choices, I certainly havent been able to try them all, but everything I have tried has been delicious! The food is fresh, made to order, and clearly made by someone who cares. The breakfasts are tasty AND allow for healthy, yet indulgent selections, and the sandwiches are full of flavor. The salad portions are more than ample, and you simply must have a labretti! If muffins are your game, they do not disappoint! Many options, all of which are amazing and moist...and their other bakery sweets are scrumptious. This place is a must-try, if you havent yet!

I stumbled upon this coffee/ brunch spot when I was getting ready to take pictures of a listing. I thought Id pop in real quick, grab a coffee and a snack and be on my way. But boy was I wrong. There are some people who have their go to order no matter what coffee house they go to, simple croissant and black coffee kind of people, easy and classic. And then theres people like me, who take the time to study the menu and explore where all the possibilites could lie, scoping for unique and usual flares that could ignite new flavor possibilities. If you are the latter, this place is going to take you awhile. They have endless options of baked goods made daily, assortment of breakfast options as well as lunch, and they serve all of them throughout the day. And to top it off a giant list of coffee and tea options and then rows and rows of truffles. Good luck. I havent found anything I didnt like. With that said do try: toffee latte or Maui latte, breakfast croissant sandwich, whatever the keto breakfast option was with sausage, any of the wraps. Peanut butter cheesecake.Okay.. great Im hungry now.

New to the area and definitely will not be back. I waited 15 minutes for a plain bagel, not warm for anything, after 15 minutes I asked them, five workers I watch stand and talking, one looking to be the owner or manager just chitchatting, about where my bagel was because I was on a time schedule. They didn’t even have it ready or anything like that. It was a total joke. I proceeded to ask for a $3.50 refund for my bagel, they didn’t compensate me the tax or anything else that I already paid by the owner, or what appeared to be the owner kept saying you didn’t give her $10 back did you which made no sense at all. Very tacky, very unwelcoming definitely won’t be back!!!

Treat your staff with more respect. I will no longer be supporting your buisness.

Sandwiches were delicious, desserts we brought home not so, which was surprising. They lacked flavor and seemed stale. Ended up throwing them out rather than eat sub par calories.

Id give it 5 stars but the prices are too high.

Im not sure why it took me so long to buy coffee from here, but I will NEVER buy from a grocery store again. So many different varieties PLUS its LOCAL!!! I cant speak about the food yet, but the menu is big w/ lots of choices for any type of diner.

I drive 25 minutes one way to get their coffee! Very good coffee and locally made chocolates. They also have a full menu for breakfast and lunch. Highly recommend

I placed a phone order for an American sub with no onions, lady taking my order acknowledge the request. She then asked me if I wanted it toasted I said no. Got my sub it had onions and was toasted, along with no vinegar and oil dressing as their cafe menu states online. So needless to say I got the driest sub from there. Along with asking the lady who took my phone order if she could throw my sandwich side of a potato chips bag in the togo bag because I always forget to grab them on my way out. It’s not like the counter lady reminds you to grab your chips on the way out, well she didn’t put them in the togo bag after she acknowledged my request.

The variety of coffee blends here is amazing! There is a blend here for almost any taste and they serve an extensive list of soups, sandwiches, salads, and plenty of baked goods. However, their vegan options are limited and they carry two kinds of non-dairy milk (soy and almond).

I like the coffee and the decor, but I have yet to experience pleasant customer service there. I would come here way more often, but make a point to avoid due to incredibly unfriendly customer service. Its not that hard to smile and greet a customer...is it?

Never again will I go to this coffee place. I try and go to local and now I see why I rather go to Starbucks. The lady that was working when I went was not friendly, she did not say welcome in or even hi. She saw me standing there at her crowded chalk board menu and could of asked if I needed help since it was my first time. Then at the check out when my husband asked if I wanted any food I said no and she rolled her eyes. Lady if you want customers to come back you definitely should act differently.

They have delicious food! A variety of options to choose from like Subs, wraps, good soups and amazing desserts! Love their cookies, brownies and English toffee. Friendly service and relaxing atomosphere.

Super Fresh ingredients, which is very important to me! Also super important was the fact that they had biodegradable bags and no straws (appropriate sip lid). Loved the Albuquerque Sub, with the side of spinach dip and bagel chips. The bread was soft but crunchy at the same time, and the fiesta ranch dressing was the secret ingredient. (Side note: hummus was a tiny bit salty, but still pretty good)Will definitely come back to try more options in between classes sometime. Six Stars!

One of my favorite local businesses! Their soups are delicious; have had a couple of the wraps, which always taste fresh and flavorful; yummy baked goods and good coffee. The people are always so friendly as well. Love this place!

Great little place for sandwiches, salads, coffee, and desserts. We went for dinner where I had a half buffalo chicken sandwich. It was very good and comes with a side. I really like the vegetable pasta salad. The Italian sub is one of my favorite sandwiches in town. My wife loves the homemade ranch dressing and baked garlic bread that comes with the salad. They have breakfast as well, but I havent tried it. My teenage girls say its a great place for breakfast.

Great food, great decor. Overwhelming chalkboard menus take some time to choose your meal, which is a little tough with picky kids, but the tasty food and atmosphere more than made up for the hassle. Was our first trip there but definitely wont be our last!

I moved away in 2008, living in Florida now, but I still get cravings for their egg salad on sour dough with pita chips and spinach dip!

Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I was torn between two subs and asked which one she would recommend and she told me the buffalo chicken sub. Let me tell you, it was THE BOMB. Delicious! I also got a cookie dough cookie sandwich, and that was also delicious. Calm and relaxing atmosphere. The food is pricey, but honestly worth it. I might have to go again next week before my class.

Such a cute coffee shop with pastries, sweets and GREAT food. I love the breakfast food and the wraps. Specialty coffees are delicious. I often find myself dreaming of thier Spinach Dip. My only compalint is that the food takes forever to come out even when you call it in sometimes. So if you are stopping by make sure that you have the time to wait.

Unfortunately I won’t be coming here for my coffee anymore. Time after time with even different baristas... My drink order is wrong. They don’t write it down & make it off the top of their head. Adding whip cream when I said no, giving me different sizes and so much as getting a hot drink when I asked for Iced. Also I feel bad asking for my correct drink I ordered, a lot of the time I just leave with it. A mistake is a mistake but when it happens once or twice it’s whatever but they have been getting my drink order wrong every time which means they are careless and too much out of their way to correctly write down someone’s order which rubs me the wrong way. Seems unprofessional giving that the prices are a little more expensive.

I had the Loco Chicken Labretti for lunch. It was phenomenal. The seasoned chicken, guacamole, cheddar, black olive, tomato and fiesta ranch dressing combine for a great taste.

It is also a place where one could sit awhile and just enjoy a coffee. The crowd’s age ranges from college age and to those in their 50/60s. It’s not fast food, so sometimes it takes a little while for the food to be prep. So if I am not in a rush, I enjoy coming here.

I just finally walked into this place the other day and tried their Strawberry Chocolate Mocha, yum! See ya later Starbucks! My 4 year old daughter was with me as well and I asked if they had chocolate milk ( wasnt on the menu). The very nice girl behind the counter said she could make some. Delicious coffees and great service, win win!This place is clean, and very inviting inside. It has a delicious array of goodies that look oh so tempting - and someday soon I will have to try one! It also has a really great looking menu of sandwiches that I am also going to have to try. I went in again today and tried the Mocha Mambo, also yum! I only drink coffee every now and then, but this will definitely be my go to place!(Whoops this is actually suppose to be for the store in downtown Grayslake, but same company so Im sure the same story)

Big menu. Lots of cookies & desserts. But service at cash register wasnt good. We put in one order & my friend got hers. I got my drink but asked a couple times for my cheesecake because the workers were talking. Then someone Im guessing is the owner joined them talking & I asked for cake again. Owner was doing something at the register. Didnt greet me or look at me in front of her. She was dressed for the beach. Very unprofessional. Very sloppy.
