Over the past 3 months Ive purchased two vehicles (Sequoia and 4Runner) from Elizabeth Pokela - shes amazing. Shes not your stereotypical pushy car salesperson. Instead, she guides you through finding the appropriate car to fit your needs. Shes knowledgable, attentive, and highly responsive. I recommend asking for your during your next visit, you wont be disappointed.
Great experience here. My service advisor was so nice and patient and a pleasure to work with. They have a gorgeous outdoor waiting area for safety during COVID. It has a stone fireplace, umbrella tables and lots of rocking chairs. And they have signage on the doors about requiring the wearing of masks inside. I felt safe there and that they care about their customers health.
Our salesman was Lee Smith. It’s been a long time since I’ve had a more enjoyable car buying experience. He was knowledgeable, helpful when needed, and not pushy at all. I will be recommending him personally to any friends considering a Toyota. When it’s time to trade in my wife’s car, he will be one of our first calls!
This was the best car buying experience that I have ever had! I went in with a bill of sale from Cox Toyota and they simply beat the deal. I was able to get more truck for less money and I was able to get a new Tundra in the color that I actually wanted. This is not like most places, there is an awesome atmosphere in this place. The sales manager Neil actually took the time to talk to me and found what I needed so I didnt have to wait on ordering a new truck and he shipped it in the next day from another dealership! He then hooked me up with Lee which is the best salesperson I have experienced. Lee was knowledgeable and resourceful. He is just a straight shooter and honest guy, which is rare in the car buying industry. All in all this place goes above and beyond, even my experience with the finance manager who did my paperwork was pleasurable. Do not waste your time going anywhere else, this is the only Toyota dealership you will ever need, and ask for Lee and Neil.Thank you Rice Toyota!Dr. Jordan
Wife and I have been searching for months for a car for our soon to be 16 year old son. Finally narrowed the search down to a handful of cars. That search ended when we walked into Rice Toyota and met Lee. My guy was personable as hell, friendly as hell and just down to earth. Not pushy, not overbearing at all. Showed him what we were looking at and he pulled it around for us and made this damn near painless. Negotiations, conversations, and purchase were pleasant from the jump. If you’re buying a car, come find Lee and actually enjoy the experience. My man is there to hook you up!
They are closer than Modern Toyota but their service the last 2 times isnt close to the level of Modern. They do a lot of unnecessary back and forth. Service wait times can be long with an appointment along with excuses for time. In addition I paid 34.99 for a detailed service. The windows are dirty, with smudges. Car was not dry and stains all over the trunk area. Very disappointing.
Made an appointment for diagnosis last week and requested for a loaner. I was told that due to being a returning customer I do qualify for a complimentary loaner and will get one once I am there. I drove all the way from Raleigh for my appointment and upon getting there I was treated with utter disrespect and was told that i would have to pay $100 for the loaner. Not only that but the service specialist Madison is a disgrace to their customer service and an awfully rude person. I was told that there would be a $180 charge and I would have to pay for it. They never told that to me over the phone when i made the appointment and i even confirmed if there will be a diagnostic fee and i was told NO! I am never going back to a place where they don’t treat their customers with respect.
I had the wonderful experience of working with (Harold Sockriter) probably the best car salesman that I have ever worked with. I have had really bad experiences previously with car-salesman’s and Harold has been the most helpful that I have ever had the pleasure of working with. Not only was he completely thorough but he had a wonderful personality too. He was able to answer every question that I had and was very knowledgeable about all of the products that were being sold. Not only is he a great salesman but he was also funny, kind and personable. It was a pleasure working with him and I highly recommend that any customer that is looking for a new car or used go and see him he will get you the best deal, the best price, and the best customer service.
Harold Sockriter was attentive to my daughter’s needs about her car. He spent a few hours with us said what she wanted and needed. He worked with us as if we were the only customers in the building. He was not a “typical car salesman”. He was personable, very thoughtful, and never once did his consideration make us feel like he was “making a sale”. He was just a regular normal awesome guy who is authentic. I highly recommend him for any of your car needs. He will help you and you will feel happy when you leave.
There’s a reason that Toyota generally has such a stellar reputation - they’ve earned it.I’ve been coming to Rice Toyota in GSO for about a year now, and should have left a review sooner, so I’m trying to catch up now. These guys rock!As an example:My wife has a 2020 Camry Hybrid. I’ve been suspicious of hybrids and all-electric vehicles in the past, but I can now count myself among the true believers. The level of comfort in her vehicle is easily equal to that of vehicles costing tens of thousands more, and we are averaging about 53 miles per gallon just piddling around town - and sometimes 57 or more when interstate driving over long distances. We recently made an appointment for this vehicle’s second check-up; scheduling was easy and readily available. When I arrived at 1045 on Friday morning for my 1100 appointment, the car was taken in immediately by service advisor Nick Jensen, who told me that the service should take about 90 minutes. No problem; I walked over to a nearby restaurant for an early lunch to take up the wait.Imagine my surprise when Nick called less than 45 minutes later to let me know that the servicing was done; he had even sent a quick video to me via text indicating the car’s condition and that work was completed. I walked back, ran through the service report, and was on my way a little over an hour after I arrived. Truly a top-tier experience.I felt compelled to mention this because I’ve had some poor experiences with auto dealers in the GSO area and elsewhere before - and I’m pleased to say that from purchase to now, everyone at Rice Toyota has been first-rate. It’s been a good enough experience that I may have to trade up on my own truck, especially when Toyota starts building hybrid Tundras!Seriously guys, really great work. You’ve earned some long-time customers.
Went to Rice Toyota today looking for a replacement pre-owned vehicle for one that was totaled in a wreck last Friday. While there were quite a few vehicles on the lot to consider, they were all locked, and above all, there was no pricing displayed on any of the vehicles. Why in the world would the prices not be displayed? Went inside to inquire about certain vehicles that I had seen on the lot and saw only one sales rep who was on the phone in what sounded like a personal phone call and walked away from me upon noticing my presence. The word on the street is that the dealership has gone into the gutter from a customer service standpoint ever since it was taken over by a female family member. I will not be going back and will take my business where customers are valued.
One of the best car buying experiences my husband and I have ever been a part of! If you need a guy, ask for Lee!! We were shopping for our 16 year old son a first car. I was worried we would be shuffled around and tried to be talked into a more expensive car, but Lee listened to exactly which car we wanted to see when we walked in, got it the keys and immediately let us look and test drive. He did the hard parts for us with no pressure….negotiating with the back, figuring out down payments and financing! As a nervous mom purchasing a used vehicle, he made this painless and put my mind at ease! Ask for Lee at Rice Toyota!
Bought a car here a few months back. Be aware their standard bumper to bumper warranty does not cover cosmetics which means bodywork & interior. Found issues 2 days after purchase with bodywork & interior but they would not fix. Check their used cars VERY thoroughly! They suggested l illegally file it on my insurance 🤔
Service coordinators are the BEST I’ve worked with at any Toyota service center I’ve used. They are polite, well spoken, thorough, and communicate clearly.
Harold Sockriter was a very professional salesman consultant! Honestly he did not try to sell me anything directly, he respectfully showed me what I was looking for and answered every question I had and allowed me to make the decision myself without pressure. I was a first time buyer and definitely recommend Harold for any other potential buyers. Thank you for your help! You were great!!!!
Rice Toyota salesperson Danielle was Awesome 😊 Everyone was friendly and was very attentive and helpful. The Best place I’ve ever had such Great Experience buying the vehicle I wanted. They even reached out to me about more information on my vehicle and how to use the Toyota app. Love ❤️ that place and All the people there. ❤️👍 I give more than 5 stars but that was all they had but trust me, they’re the Best!!!
Went by to look for a car. It was so frustrating not to see a sticker price on any of the cars. I was told that a salesman would be able to help me with it in the building. Why? You’re making it so inconvenient for customers. You’re the only dealership that does not display the price on the car itself. Is there a reason for this?
Excellent customer service, Lee Smith conducted the whole process so smoothly, I had everything done in a couple hours, while buying my new Toyota. I would definitely recommend Lee to take care of you for a great buying experience!
Lee was very patient with all our questions. Got us the deal, color and extras we wanted. Thats why been customers since the early 80s .. Our familys has purchased at least 12 vehicles that came from Rice ToyotaThank you for such great service !!
Spent about $500.00 on oil/filter chg, new front brakes, inspection and tire rotation. After picking up my vehicle I drove it home to discover that they had failed to put one of the front skid plate bolts back in (2nd time this has happened). So, I called up there n spoke to service advisor brandon, told him the situation and asked if they could mail me a bolt. Brandon put me on hold while he checked. After a few minutes on hold he came back and said they couldnt mail me one. I asked why and he said we just dont do that. I usually got my truck serviced there when I was in town for business. I live an hour away and he knew that.I have spent my last dime with Rice Toyota because of the poor customer service. I have bought numerous Toyota s from this company in the last 30 years but no more.It ashamed that customer quality has declined that much over the years....
Never again. There is a reason I drove to Raleigh to purchase my first Toyota. I was reminded of why this week. I practically begged my first salesman to call, e-mail or text me back with information on a possible deal. The second salesman was not interested in helping me as well. When I went in to speak to the sales manager, just got excuses about low inventory. I understood the low inventory issue right off the bat. I wanted an answer about why the sales staff treated me so badly. I was prepared to trade in an amazing truck and write a check for a new one. Apparently thats not good enough for Rice Toyota.
Great experience! Harold was our sales consultant and he was super helpful and responsive.
The staff at Rice Toyota has once again gone above and beyond to take care of my family and I. I got exactly what I was looking for, and the process was very smooth. A special shout out to Sales Manager Derek Mosier, and sales person Greg Moore, for giving us the VIP treatment. Before you goAnywhere else, you should definitely visit Rice Toyota. You won’t be disappointed.
I attempted to make a service appointment, answered all of these questions about myself and my vehicle. When I showed up to the appointment none of my new information was updated and I was informed of a $174 diagnostic fee that doesn’t go towards the service that wasn’t mentioned over the phone. The man that helped me at the location was very professional and accommodating but because of the miscommunication via telephone I decided to go to elsewhere.
I had yet another unfortunate experience of coming into Rice Toyota after one of the online buyers solicited to buy my used vehicle I had for sale. Even though I had an appointment with the buyer, he wasnt in the dealership that day. So the sales managers took care of me. One sales manager brought over an offer in writing. I told him the buyer had said $500 more. He said he would go adjust. He comes back minutes later and decides not only will he not do the price as offered in the site unseen offer, he wont buy at all because (even the offer he just go me 2 minutes ago) because the books change so quickly. Fortunate for me, a guardian angel must have been watching over me because I sold the car for thousands of dollars more than they offered hours later. If youre looking to buy a Toyota or service your Toyota, I strongly recommend you take the extra 25-minute drive over to Modern Toyota in Winston-Salem where you will be treated with dignity and respect, not a dollar sign.
Stopped in to get a quick tire rotation and they told me that they’re doing “appointment only” due to “Covid” and that they would have to service everyone else with appointments before they could get to me. I’m not sure who is making these corporate decisions but that is a terrible stance to take on customer service. I bought my vehicle from Rice but after this experience will no longer be a customer.
I had the extreme pleasure of working with Harold Sockriter when I purchased my new RAV4. He was the most low pressure salesman that we have ever had. He worked with us on every aspect of the arrangement and I couldnt be happier with the deal that we received. He was very professional and attentive with a wonderful sense of humor. This was by far our best car buying experience.
Mr. Lee was awesome to work with. He made the buying process easy and was not pushy like most salesmen we have come across.
Had a great experience buying my first truck. Emilia was extremely helpful and genuine when it came to picking out a truck that was right for us. If you ever need help go to Emilia she will take care of you!
Absolutely THE BEST place to buy a car from! Salesman Nate Gann was so helpful and patient with me even when I was being super indecisive. He wasnt pushy or overbearing and I really appreciate his efforts to find a car that was right for me. Will definitely recommend anyone buying a car to come to Rice Toyota!
My car key was stolen and Rice Toyota was so helpful with getting me a new key. The people there were very understanding and gracious! I am sooo grateful for their help with the whole process. Thank you to everyone who helped me out!!!!
I had an emergency where my cat got up into a car under the engine over the weekend. Rice Toyota was able to send a mechanic, Jared, out to help us. They didnt even charge us. Jared was so caring to take time out of his work day to come help. He was able to help us get my cat out safely. The receptionist also cared enough to let the service team know that someone needed help with their cat.Thank you Rice Toyota.
The lady was working with me (Danielle) very helpful & I have to say I really liked rice Toyota everything was great, I got my deal done & until signing the paperwork that was the only thing I was really disappointed with !! the guy that was taking care of all paperwork (Carlos) tried for like 15-20 minutes or more to push some Kind of extra warranty for more money it wasn’t much I said no thanks I’m good but he kept trying when I said again no to that extra warranty the unwanted attitude started to show very unprofessional!!!! He made me feel like I’m cheap & I didn’t like that at all but I told Danielle when she called me to follow up few days ago and she said she will let the owner(Andy) know about it so I told her I’m not gonna write my review before I hear back how something like that will be corrected & of course I haven’t heard back since the deal is done, in my opinion providing customer service is the most important thing but oh well I thought that place is different but that’s a typical car dealer !!! But i have to admit I still like the place 😂
Extremely disappointed in how my new car purchase was handled. We were pleased with the service we received on the front end of the deal. We arrived near closing and the staff stayed until our deal was closed. With the being said, the ball was dropped on the back end of the deal. I was told during our document signing process that our new license plate would be sent to us within the month via mail. Yesterday was the final day of my temporary tag. I called in to check on the status of the tag, and the response I received was it had been at the dealership for around a week and that I should have received a call that it was in. I did not receive a call and when I asked what I should do next because my tag is about to expire, I was told most customers would have checked in by now. The remedy they suggested would be to overnight the license plate to me, but it couldnt be sent out until the morning, so essentially a 2 day wait. On top of that, during the document signing process, I was told the dealership would contact my insurance provider to get the new vehicle added to my policy. I called my insurance and they had not heard from the dealership. Very unprofessional to provide these promises and not follow up on their word.
Day one it’s all sunshine and roses and they can do exactly what you would like for a vehicle and next day we can do this but not this then hours later no we can’t do any of that now. Never gain. 3 cars from there and next one will not !!! Very disappointed
Hands down the best car shopping/buying experience I have ever had. Our salesperson Carrie was very friendly, courteous and knowledgeable. Derrick in finance was also super helpful and personable. To top it off, Mr. Rice himself personally thanked my partner and I for coming to Rice. The entire process took under 3 hours from test drive to pulling in our driveway. Thank you Rice Toyota for a top notch experience.
Flew in from Tampa, FL to buy from here sight unseen. Hands down, best buying experience Ive had in 20 years. Everyone was absolutely wonderful: Greg, Andy, and Amber. Should the situation present itself again, I will buy another vehicle from here.
Lee was very helpful and made the whole process very easy. I was in and out with a car in no time will recommend coming here and will again in the future.
The girl that helped me was extremely nice but I did not make an appointment for my 40,000 mile service to sit there for almost 3 hours. I didn’t get anything extreme done. I also saw numerous people come in after me and leave before me. That just seems a bit extreme, if I didn’t have an appointment I would be more understanding but needless to say I am not happy and I will continue to drive the farther distance to Cox for service
There probably isn’t anything that will be done at this point i don’t know to be honest. I don’t even have the energy to explain why I’m so upset with the way they have treated my wife. The only competent people there are Samantha and Lou. Will probably never be back in the building after we are done dealing with this Rav.
Jacob made my first experience at a dealership a breeze! Got me into the exact car I wanted, quickly and never pressured me! Samantha was quick and attentive when answering my emails. 10/10!
Justin Lively is the sales person to ask for at this dealership. He is understanding and is easy going. He worked a deal to get us in the perfect vehicle at the perfect price.
We can’t say enough how thankful we are Ryan Goins helped us in buying our vehicle! He patiently answered all our questions, was very informative, and wasn’t pushy at all. He made our car buying experience so much more enjoyable than we thought it would be, we will definitely be buying from him again!
Do not buy anything from this dealership! they will bait and switch you! i have a price quote and a sales sheet from these con artists. when i went to put a deposit down to pick up the car, the manager jacked the price $5k. these people are not honest. run far away. i have purchased over 26 toyota cars, never have i experienced anything this like this. this dealership and michelle give toyota a bad name.
I’ve really tried to provide several opportunities for Rice Toyota service Dept to demonstrate that it can provide quality service in a timely and professional matter. However, the service goes downhill each time. The service is slow, appointment times are meaningless, employees still where masks below their noses. After purchasing and servicing several vehicles here, I will not be returning.
Usually my experiences are horrible. but this past time was actually good. the rep Samantha was very transparent, and nice. the only thing that was annoying and confusing was where to go to get my keys for my vehicle, no one was at the service counter so i stood there for about 10 mins, until i walked over to the sales people and directed me to go to the service dropoff. not a huge deal i guess, but wasnt really clear on what the process to retrieve my keys
My daughter got her first car on her own. My sales person was good until at some point her responses were slow & once or twice inaccurate. We had a cash down payment & a check from the credit union. I was informed by the general Mgr that we were set to pick the car up. I arrived to find everything incomplete. The owner and Mgr asked what they could do and said they would make it better if we werent satisfied yet both have refused to do anything we ask. They wont even honor their words. Ive seen who and what they are and I would never send them a customer.
Got a call from Samantha this morning to see if i was still interested in a used 2018 crv. Texted her later to tell her I was on my way got response back saying ill see you when you get here. Showed up to look at the car but it was sold a few days ago. Wasted my time driving up from Concord, NC. No idea how you cant figure out you dont have the vehicle to sell
Ive been a Rice Toyota customer for the past decade and have yet (fingers crossed) to have a bad sales experience. I was nearing the end of my fourth Corolla lease and was torn between leasing or financing my next vehcile. I contacted Rice to get a feel for which option made more sense, and Eddie Soto got back to me with some very favorable numbers on a 2020 Corolla XSE. Usually, when a car salesman says hes getting you a good deal, you can interpret that as Were not charging you the sticker price and roll your eyes. In this case, however, it proved to be a legitimately good deal, and so I made the trek from High Point to Greensboro to take a closer look at the vehicle in question.Kudos to Rice for taking COVID protocols seriously. Everyone was masked, they wiped down desks between customers, and they performed temperature checks upon entry. The sales staff were also courteous and welcoming.A test drive had me convinced that I had found my next car, and from there, it was a matter of making sure the quote was as described and there were no hidden surprises. Fortunately, it was, and there werent. Eddie in sales and Marcus in finance were both quite helpful, and thanks to them I got the car that I wanted without agitation or regret.Customer service continues to impress here, and as long as it does, Im glad to give Rice my business.
My most recent purchase of my 2021 Tundra limited was such a wonderful experience. From the salesperson to the final signing, the staff were top notch. Love the entire experience. Rices Toyota truly does you right. Danielle, my sales person was the best.
I consistently make appointments here. I make appointments so I wIll not be here for 2 hours. To rotate my car or get an oil change is 99% of the time a 2 hour wait. I tried getting service at 7:45 in the morning. I was told that was a 2 hour wait. Frustrated customer.
Service, customer service, and knowledge all varies greatly by who your sales rep is when trying to buy a car. Weve been a few times within the past year trying to make a decision and have had some good and some bad luck with the sales people assigned to.We also had a disappointing experience with the Manager that left a bad taste in our mouth.
Made a maintenance service appointment and was told there was a fuel pump recall on my vehicle and it was going to take 4 hrs to do. I was asked if I would need a rental car reserved for that day and I said yes. The woman I spoke with said she would have to call me back as she wanted to make sure there would be one available for that day (Saturday). I arrived to my appointment and was told nothing had been reserved and the repair would only take 2 hrs so everything I was told was wrong. I had already made plans around this repair time thinking I was going to have a vehicle to get around while my car was being worked on. The girl at reception just kept saying there was another issue with another customer earlier that day with the same issue and the woman that had reserved my car was not working that day. Basically admitting they don’t know that they’re doing. She also seemed very rushed and not very sympathetic for the miscommunication on their end. I was offered an Uber but still had to wait 20 min. Overall not a good experience with this location. They’re not very organized and seem to operate in chaos. Would not recommend this location.
Great quality work done on my vehicle, but an extremely long wait time (15 minutes or longer) from the check in bay during the afternoon appointment times; associates would literally walk by me like I wasnt sitting there in the bay. And no there wasnt long lines of vehicles waiting to checking in. Also an even longer wait to get a simple oil change, not worth it. In the past, they did provide good customer service but something changed. Even after expressing my complaints nothing changed so now I receive service elsewhere. I tried to be a loyal customer but you cant continue with the same poor practice.
I used to like them, but Im sorry they are shills and say you need something when you dont. I went to get an oil change, per Rices sticker recommendation they put on my car the last time I got an oil change from them, at another garage place. Well, I last got synthetic oil which lasts 7,000 miles...Rices sticker said to come back at 3,000. Me not realizing, the other place I went to actually told me I had more milage if I didnt want to get my oil changed, because theyre honest, yet magically Rice said I needed one when I brought it in to double check. Another example, I bought new tires at Costco, and brought my car back into rice for inspection, as previously the car wouldnt pass inspection until I got new tires per Rice. No worries, so bought new ones, brought it back to Rice, they checked, and yep brand new tires, passed inspection, and went on my way. Sure enough, next time I brought my car into Rice, I magically needed a tire rotation...I literally have the sticker in my windshield from when I first got the tires at Costco telling me when I needed them first rotated, yet somehow Rice said I was due for a rotation 2,000 miles early, before even my first rotation. And they were the ones who knew I needed new tires, and wanted me to buy them from them and passed the inspection after buying them elsewhere. Theyll say you need anything, warranted or not to take your money, please dont ever go here...which funny enough is exactly what any person I know says whenever I bring up thinking about using Rice for my car needs. Guess Im not the only person...Hmmmm....
Excellent remote buying experience with Jacob Nigh (salesman). I prefer to do as much as possible before I get there (similar to Vroom and Carvana). Jacob was technically savvy and flexible to take all information via text, assemble the ppwrk, and make it quick in/out experience. He was also great at showing my wife around all of the technology and electronics of the new Highlander. He was awesome. Highly recommend using Jacob!
Madison was so sweet & nice . I called her multiple times in a day and not once was there a attitude, she was very helpful and kept me updated on my car while it was being worked on. Her customer service was great and for that i will be back!
My dad experienced an injury causing him to not be able to afford his lease for the whole term. The staff arranged a deal that would keep him from ruining his credit. I’m so thankful the staff. They were so understanding and helpful towards his situation. You could genuinely see they cared. Special shoutout to Derek and his kind words! I would recommend this place to anyone.
Purchased multiple vehicles at Rice over the years. I’ve been trying get a call back from Finance for months to drop my gap insurance. When I can get someone on the phone they say they are going to send me the document and then never do. It’s pathetic at this point. It’s literally been months and I’ve been calling in weekly.
Attempted to purchase wiper blades and decided to stay OEM. Stopped by the Parts counter to make the purchase. Was told they no longer carry inserts and I would need to purchase the entire blade...not an issue. Total came to $50. When I inquired about a current special that Rice was offering for OEM replacement blades with install for $34.95, to see if I could get the coupon price applied to the part, it was explained that was a Service only offer. On the way out, called the service department to find that I would need an appointment (which didnt surprise me, hence trying to have the coupon applied and installing myself). Needless to say, I took my purchase online and saved money (1/2 price) for the same OEM parts...so much for supporting local.I am giving a 2-star review because though the process was frustrating, both associates were friendly - I assume this to be a disconnect with dealer policies.
I went in to by an obscure lightbulb for my sons 2001 4runner. Nathan in the parts department was just awesome. I will probably give these guys another chance when looking for my next car simply due to an employee giving great service for something as simple as a $5 lightbulb.
Arrived for oil change appointment. Employees are running, literally running everywhere. Waiting in a line in my car with no instruction. Very confusing process.Mechanics slam car doors and hoods.Everyone’s running it’s really weird. I’m just stuck in this line of cars now. It’s crazy up here. Went to the oil change building across the street originally and the guy was listening to music loud with one of the cars and in unprofessional attire. I won’t be back. Wow.
I didnt have a good experience at Rices Toyota this go round. I got a car in 95 with a good visit. This visit I got the car I wanted but, I was told that my insurance was would be transferred and to find out 9 weeks later I had no insurance at all. First of if you say you going to do something than do it and dont make excuses. Yes I should have checked on it but to believe a car dealer is not always the best way to go.
I arrived to have an oil change about 15 minutes before my 1pm appointment. Around 2:05pm I went to the service desk to inquire about my car. The lady told me I could go outside to find the person who helped me. I replied. I want to speak to the the manager. It is now 2:25pm and the manager Adam listened to my complaint and apologized for the inconvenience and left to find out the status of my car. I am very disappointed with the service I have received at Rice Toyota because I have never had a issue with there service. I gave my car to my daughter and was planning to purchase a new car however I will move forward with another dealership.
Went to look at a truck was there but wasnt on the lot was told when it would be back so I put a deposit on it and came back and looked it over and bought the truck. My sales man Greg was on top of everything was an awesome and easy buying experience. Bought on a Friday Saturday morning noticed a couple of dents in the roof of the truck when looking down on it from my churchs second floor I called rice toyota and they went above and beyond taking care of the issise I dropped truck off Monday evening after work they called me Tuesday evening that it was ready when I picked up wensday morning I could not even tell where the dents had been. Finally a dealer that stands for honesty and helping a customer when most dealer would have just wrote u off and not helped. I differently will be buying my next cars from rice toyota
I am very unhappy after having my car serviced today- well, it really wasnt serviced. I made an appointment for whatever service is due at 75k miles. As soon as I pulled in, an associate checked my tires and handed me a quote for $800-$1000 worth of new tires. I declined them because I was not prepared to spend that much today. After sitting in the waiting area for 2.5 hrs, I was allowed to check out-I was told that my inspection failed because I didnt get new tires..SURPRISE. I get to the check out desk and I find out that the only thing they had done was rotate my tires- tires that I was told I need to replace. Did it take 2.5 hrs to rotate tires??? I was told that I didnt need an oil change...I DID need one, I hadnt had one in about 30k miles.... It was a complete waste of my time and money. I didnt ask them to do the oil change because it had already been close to 3 hrs and I had somewhere else to be. Now I have to go to another shop and have my car actually serviced. Apparently the 75k mile PACKAGE is nothing but a tire rotaton? Why is it a package then? I felt like even if I signed up for the wrong thing, they should have been able to look at my fluids and tell me I needed an oil change- they dont mind suggesting other things that you dont come in there for. Im so disappointed. I havent brought my care to a toyota dealership in 2 years, so how would they know I did NOT need an oil change? I usually have positive experiences at toyota service dealerships...but this was disappointing.
Sell a lot of cars, but customer service for repairs etc is VERY MARGINAL. When I bring my car in or pick it up, I never know who is helping me or how long it will take to see someone and ask a question. Recently had a simple state inspection and sat for 15 minutes while they tried to find my paperwork. Nice people, but disorganized. Time is money!
Recently purchased a car with the help of Lee. He knew exactly what we were looking for, friendly and patient. Thank you Lee
Quick to sell you something, but awful customer service. They failed to get my registration in to the DMV when I first leased the vehicle and never notified Southeast Toyota when I turned in my leased vehicle causing me extra property taxes with my city. The vehicle was turned in 5 months ago- and this is still going on. Can’t get anyone to help me when I call- frustrated and disappointed.
Bought a 2020 4Runner from this dealer. Drove over an hour to purchase from here versus more local Toyota dealers. Avery Cox was the sales rep and was very helpful and very friendly during the entire process. Was in and out as quickly as a car purchase can be. Marcus was in finance and also very helpful and friendly. Highly recommend this dealer and Avery in sales.
I’m curious as to why Rice Toyota employees are in public, in uniform, and threatening to do harm to the public, during company time. How is this even remotely acceptable? Before it’s even asked, I was in McDonalds today and saw your employee, dressed in work clothing, threatening to physically harm a woman trying to purchase food. There were women holding back the Rice Toyota worker who was also with other Rice employees. She brought up Mary Rice, as if Mary would find this behavior acceptable.I personally will no longer do business with Rice Toyota after seeing a spectacle such as this. If this is the type of employees Rice hires, you all should surely be ashamed of yourselves. From bringing my car to Rice I know this woman who was making the threats was Essence, a service writer, someone who clearly needs to be fired.
My college student daughter took her car in for a repair. She was told on Friday that the cost for the repair would be $640. When she went to pick up the car on Saturday she was told that the cost was actually $864. She was not prepared for that extra charge and had to have funds transferred in order to get the car. Rice did complete the repair but misled my daughter by telling her one amount was due and then telling her another amount was due when she came in to pay. Sadly, she has learned the hard way that the old adage of never trust the dealership for a fair deal is true.
Got there at 9am and was out the door by 11am. They gave me a fair value for my trade and a great price for the new vehicle. Would definitely recommend to friends and family.
Yes most dealers (like Rice) are expensive, but Rice does a very good job with my car, and provides a great service experience during the appointment, while waiting for the car. Drinks, clean, spacious area, notifications/updates, rides with Uber. Once its fixed, its fixed; Ive never had to return to get something reworked.
At this moment not happy but they are usually good
Extremely rude sales person - Jacob Nigh. Never go for a deal with him. Not at all customer friendly, seems like Rice Toyota is not interested in doing business. Did not provide me with a quote, only focused on giving rude replies.A lot of other Toyota dealers nearby, dont go to Rice Toyota. One of the worst experiences!!!
I paid a visit to rice Toyota this morning and the sales staff did not seem to want to engage me to sell me a car. I guess I will give cox Toyota a try. Oh! By the way I have bought two cars in the past from rice.
Got a great deal on a 2021 Rav4. Super happy.
I have bought my car with them many years ago and I have used their services several times and was always very satisfied with their service and their fairness on pricing and customer service.I came for an inspection today and I will never return again. They mentioned that I needed to change parts to pass the inspection and when I questioned it at the register they said that I had given them permission when I came in. Which I did because the lady said that I needed those items changed and they were not necessary.I like to work with people that I trust and they definitely are not trustworthy.
Carrie Evans at Greensboro Rice Toyota was amazing to work with. She was so kind, patient and informative. I would have never made the plunge if it wasn’t for her! Emily in finance was amazing as well. She broke everything down for me to understand and gave me the best interest rate possible. Highly recommend this place!
Emma was very helpful and was an outstanding sales associate. She answered every question that I asked in addition to many other associates that welcomed me and stopped by the desk to offer conversation while she submitted my paperwork. I look forward to visiting again in the near future.
Needed 1 tire replaced. Arrived for my 7:00am appointment and waited for 3 hours to get one tire replaced. Everyone is very nice, but 3 hours for one tire?
Get other estimates especially if parts are something they must order. Not a ton of transparency with sales reps. Higher quality and more knowledgeable service reps at Durham Toyota on 15-501.
Chris and Ryan made this buying experience super easy and with no stress at all! Being a first time buyer, this made me feel very welcomed and taken care of. They followed all the proper steps to ensure a safe environment. I highly recommend Rice Toyota for your next car or truck purchase!
I will never buy another car from here. 1st off I traded in a car they did not give me what they said they would but I should have doubled checked everything before signing. 2nd i purchased the service contract & extended warranty but EVERYTIME I go to have my car serviced there is a problem because they keep telling me my contract is expired & I have to bring my contract to show proof everytime. One time my car was damaged on the property dent & paint scrap they failed to tell me then tried to make it seem like I was lying until the video surveillance was pulled. Now today I go in for an oil change & all they did was rotate the tires when I asked why they had no answer. THE OUTSIDE STAFF THAT CHECKS CAR IN IS NEVER FRIENDLY & service manager does nothing about any situation when you contact him.
Called about a Toyota Tundra they said they had it in stock and set me up a appointment at 9am on Saturday.. I got to rice Toyota and they started looking for the keys and no longer had them then tired telling me they sold it a month ago if I where you I would honestly take my business elsewhere!!! Manger was not polite ether! As a first time buyer this has completely steered me away form any Toyota rice dealership
I usually dont leave reviews, but I felt like this was absolutely necessary to share my experience with others. I was treated WAY better here than any other dealership experience Ive ever had. I have always been told when buying a vehicle as a female, not to go in without a man because the salesmen will just take advantage on the fact that I am not as knowledgeable about cars as others. The staff here (Jordan A, Derrick and Manager Chris.) really worked with me to make sure I got a solid trade value for my other vehicles and financing plan to put me into a car that had all the bells and whistles I wanted. I can appreciate their patience they had when I even changed my mind 10 times on which car I wanted. These salesman were not pushy like others that Ive ran into and they made sure that I didnt just SETTLE for a car, that I understood I would have this vehicle for a while so I needed to make sure I got exactly what I wanted. Thank you all SO very much for making my first time getting a car pleasant and for being so helpful. Also, thank you all for thoroughly explaining how the car buying process works. 12/10 would recommend and if I could leave any more stars I would. Thank you all so much!
Sad I can only give them 5 stars. This is a great place to go for service. I needed new brakes on a car that was less than 60 days old, that I bought from a different dealer. Ashley at the service center was on top of everything from the moment I drove on the lot. I will be going here for any further repairs or services and when time comes a new car. Everyone that I came in contact with was so friendly, from the guy on the phone to set the appointment with to the girl that checked me out. Love this place
Worked out a deal for a car we found online, communication via text message and email was quick. They delivered the car 175 miles for is to test drive without obligation. Loved the car and closed the deal. This was the best car buying experience at any dealer I have ever had. Thanks!
The parts and service department couldn’t have been less helpful. I needed to replace a wheel lock key for a Highlander with a flat tire hence I did not have the car with me as I was unable to put on the spare without the lock key. Even though I had a picture of the lock pattern itself, there was zero effort given to help match a key pattern and instead was provided a phone number for the lock manufacturer. I drove to a different Toyota dealership and within five minutes, they brought out a set to compare with my picture and found a match. Two Toyota dealers, one with 1-star service and the other with 5-star service. My family drives two Toyotas and we will no longer remotely even consider giving Rice Toyota our business. I don’t always expect an immediate solution but I do expect a good faith effort to help problem solve.
I recently went to test drive a vehicle. I called ahead of time and asked if I was able to test drive the vehicle that day and the lady said yes no problem. Upon arrival I was sat down in the lobby while the receptionist (who was very welcoming and nice) waited for a salesman to even acknowledge her. Once I finally got with a salesman we sat down at the desk and mid conversation the salesman got up and proceeded to talk to other customers who just arrived that were currently talking to the receptionist. During our conversation I was told that to test drive we needed to talk through the price and hopefully come to an agreement and that I needed to have a credit application submitted prior to the test drive. I didn’t want a hard pull on my credit JUST TO TEST OUT A VEHICLE. The salesman’s resolution was to give me a price sheet with a “special rate” and start the buying process. I declined and left the lot. I honestly believe the salesman judged me and came to the conclusion that I wasn’t there for the right reasons. I was seriously considering a Toyota, but after this I think I’ll do business with a different company.
My wife and I have leased at least 3 vehicles from this dealership and we are currently looking for a vehicle. A couple weeks ago I wanted to look at a couple vehicles up close at the dealership so I went into the showroom and asked if there was an entrance because there has been a fence installed since my last visit. I only wanted to walk around and look. I was told that I would need to leave my name and phone number to do that. The impression I got was that was the only way I could enter the lot to see the cars. I left and as I drove drown the street beside the dealership I noticed that the ENTIRE side and back of the dealership was open. There wasnt a fence or gate or anything. It was a bad experience and I would not recommend this dealership to my friends and family anymore. It is just different and uncomfortable.
Shout out to Kristen, Derek, and AK for helping me out this week! All of you were so wonderful and I can’t thank you enough!
A little pushy but they had the vehicle I wanted. Ill go back.
Please inspect any used vehicle very closely that you decide to purchase from this dealer. The people are really nice, and I drove 2 hours to buy a 2016 Cadillac Escalade. Luckily I asked them to put it on the lift and saw an extensive amount of frame rust, leaking shocks and oil, and a rag up inside the engine covers (it did not pick it up from the road). They said they inspect all used vehicles, but they either didn’t inspect this one or did a sub par job doing it. So I am saying just really look at their cars and have an independent dealer/mechanic inspect it thoroughly before you buy.Received a response from dealership that they have cameras that would show the vehicle was inspected. Ok. I challenge you. First, post that video. And second, put the car on the lift, take picture of the rust from the front to the rear of the chassis, and then take pictures of the front shocks and engine bay coated in engine fluids. Further, I’ll meet you up there and let’s take it to a Cadillac dealer and have it inspected. I am a fan of transparency. If you inspected that truck prior to selling it, you have a blind mechanic on your staff. I am willing to bet you didn’t remove the engine covers under the vehicle, else you would have found the rags I pulled out and handed to your salesman. I wasted 6 hours of my time to look at a poorly maintained vehicle, but I’ll gladly waste another 6, we can put that vehicle on the lift and let’s see if you can look me in the eye and tell me that’s a quality vehicle and your company exercised the expected standard of care in boarding that truck you purchased at an auction.
I purchased a 2016 toyota 4runner 5/24/20 the salesman was supposed to get me a extra key. Now almost 3 weeks later not one phone call about my key or my license plate they were supposed to get me. This isnt a way to make a repeat customer but I guess they are one of those they got the sale so who cares dealerships. Crescent Ford in High Point I have purchased multiple vehicles from over the years and have always gotten a phone call within the first 2 weeks just to make sure I am still happy with me purchase. I will not ever purchase another vehicle from Rice Toyota in Greensboro NC nor will I recommend them to friends or family and will direct them to stay away.
They tried to cheat me. I brought my car for state inspection. But they showed me a fake test result (or an old result for another car) with different date, mileage, etc. and asked me to change an expensive part.Make sure you carefully read and check what they show to you. As some other reviews mentioned, they obviously try to cheat and take more money from you. Ill never return, and will tell what happened to every Toyota car owners in Greensboro.
Dear Ms. Mary,I want to register my grievance here for the way we have been treated while purchasing New Camry LE 2020 from your dealership Rice Toyota, Greensboro. I waited for 3 days to receive your e-mail-ID from you but didn’t receive it & no response to my multiple phone calls to you since September 1st, 2020.Highly disappointed that even after visiting 4 times in the last 2 weeks at Rice Toyota & spending my precious more than 12 Hrs with your team, I couldn’t make the deal. Due to the totally unprofessional & derogatory behavior of Mr. Richard Beachem. We feel to be mishandled at Toyota Dealership.I visited Rice Toyota with my husband on Aug 19th 2020. I am working women & pregnant currently. We met Ms. Daniela Morillo & Mr. Andy Slaughter & liked one car. Andy offered us the Camry LE Price @ $XX,XXX/- out of the door with my Bank APR & provided the Bill of sale to present to my bank.I got a loan approval letter from Bank of America. Upon arrival at the scheduled time at 5:30 PM on Aug 21, the car was not clean even after request, & paperwork was not done. We got to see the clean car by 7:40PM & surprisingly found a few scratches on Car bumper in new car. Then Richard tried to force us, either we made a deal then & there, with the same condition of car or no deal. After the purchase only he will do any denting work. The way Richard did the conversation was highly rude. What about customer satisfaction? We refused to buy the dented car. Richard after having the internal discussion asked us to submit the refundable $1,000/- deposit based on the satisfactory work. We agreed & deposited $1,000. After spending 3 hours, we left for the day with a lot of stress & disappointment. After confirmation of car repair work from Rice Toyota, we tried to take an appointment on August 28 for 5:30 PM with Daniella who was on leave & told us Richard will assist us on the day. Upon arrival we waited for more than 60 mins. We were disappointed to see the car as it was not clean again. We had to wait again for another one & half hours to see the clean car. By the time it was 8:00PM & dark, I was feeling pain due to my pregnancy. It was unbearable to sit for me. We informed to come back in some time, but we couldn’t go back due to my physical condition & informed Rice Toyota at 8:30 PM the same.We scheduled the appointment with Danielle M for Sep 1st for 5:30PM & asked her to show the clean car & quick paperwork. We were fine with the car repair work & asked to complete the paperwork. The Finance Manager told us APR will be 5.69% from Rice Toyota. While my bank has offered me 2.69% APR. Upon further discussion, Richard came & again very disrespectfully he mentioned, either we sign the paper there with the Toyota APR or just leave the office. When we reminded him that Andy offered me the price with my bank loan. He spoke on high pitch that I am telling you in English 20th time that either we sign, or we can leave the office right now in front of the Finance Manager. It is discrimination against us. We felt insulted & refused to make the deal.We had to wait another one hour to get back the deposit. We tried to reach you, but you had left for the day. Therefore, we have shown our grievances to Mr. Andy Slaughter about this conversation, he mentioned politely that he is not making profit at the original offered price with 2.69% APR. Andy offered us to pay $500 more on the original price with 2.69% APR to complete the deal. But I didn’t want to deal anymore. Our grievances are as following;1. Inappropriate & discriminatory behavior by Mr. Richard.2. Not maintaining the deal as per committed by Rice Toyota officials initially3. Wasted our Time & Energy.Seek your response on above.Regards,Nishtha
