I was absolutely blown away by the customer service in every interaction I had, from start to finish. From my phone call to check on pricing and appointments, the person I spoke with was extremely kind, helpful and got me in the door ASAP! The moment I walked through the door, I was impressed by the overall cleanliness of the place, as it’s a really open and spacious floorplan. But that doesn’t compare to the exceptional and genuine customer service and kindness and that every team members I came in contact with provided to me and my daughter. I love the text updates during the wait, as well as a detailed digital vehicle inspection report. The prices are extremely reasonable as well, and they provided me with helpful tips for immediate discounts! All of that being said- Just go check the place out for yourself for your next oil change or inspection! Why not, gotta do it anyways! You won’t be disappointed

I’ve been to almost every tire and mechanic shop in Greensboro, NC. Let me tell you this: Thomas Tire is rungs above every other location. I went in with a problem that I didn’t have an appointment for. Turned out, it was a much bigger problem. Instead of saying “come back with an appointment” they fit me in and gave me a discount. Needless to say: I’ll be going to them from now on and I recommend you do as well

Ok so I called an scheduled my appt on Tuesday of last week an they told me the earliest appt they had would be Friday at 9 am so I said “that’s fine I’ll be there” fast forward to Friday I drop my car off at 9 o’clock 9:05 at the lastest. I hear nothing from them about my car so I call them back at around 2:50 3pm because at this point my kids have gotten home from school an I’m wondering what exactly is taking so long. Guy answers the phone an tells me my car is currently on the lift an should be done shortly I could tell in his tone that that was a lie an he was just telling me what I wanted to hear so I got in my girlfriend car an went up there sure enough my car was still sitting in the exact same spot as when I dropped it off. When I approached the guy he assured me that they had looked at the car earlier that morning an still not resolved the problem an supposedly had just had it on the life but took it down again before I got there. I proceeded to tell him that I was gonna go pay rent an come back. He closed the store with my car still there an left me without my vehicle for a whole 4 day weekend because they’re closed sat sun an Monday was Labor Day. An they still never called me they still have my keys an I had to use my spare key to go get my vehicle. OVERALL the experience was TERRIBLE I’d never go back ever!

The guys at Thomas Tire in Greensboro were so helpful in diagnosing and fixing my flat tire. Their facility is so clean and spacious. I feel comfortable waiting there and its convenient because I work downtown. They even have bikes available as alternative transportation while your car is being worked on. Dont hesitate to stop there and get your tires or basic car maintenance done. They dont try to upsell you. Just fair honest work!

Went in for an oil change because my light was on. The technician checked my oil and said it was full and fairly clean and I had about 2k more miles left before I truly needed an oil change. They could have easily changed my oil without telling me that I didnt necessarily need it changed then. The checked the air in my tires and sent me on my way with no charge. The honesty of this encounter is so rare to find today especially in the automotive industry. I can not recommend Thomas Tire enough.

I give Thomas Tire 5 stars for 3 reasons:1. Size, cleanliness of waiting area and configuration of waiting area, to be able to see your vehicle being worked on.2. The email report, with pictures, to show you what they found wrong with your vehicle.3. I took a tire that had a screw in it to be fixed. They didn’t charge me to work on it. The tire went completely flat while I was at work the next day. I would have been better off leaving the screw in it, at least it didn’t go completely flat. I will not be returning for any further services.

This is my second time coming to Thomas tire and automotive and I plan to keep coming here! I needed an car inspection and I called them to set up a time to bring my car in and the representative I talked to was very professional and friendly over the phone.I bought my car in and I was out of there in less than an hour! I had been coming here for years and I had been satisfied but Tuesday I took my boyfriend’s car in for an oil change and a tire rotation! I reiterated for them to make sure they rotate the tires! Before I left I asked again did the tech rotate the tires and they said oh yes! To make it short, I took their word jumped in the car to pick my boyfriend up in Durham only to find out that the tires had not been rotated and they also added to much oil! I called back up there to voice my concern on Wednesday and the assistant manager named “Mac”wanted me to bring the car back up there! My confidence in them is shaky at this point!My son was up there at that particular moment getting my car serviced! Mac claims he was going to pull the tape at that particular bay and give me a call back! Needless to say I am still waiting on the call back! I know that this can happen anywhere!

I came in late Friday afternoon and the gentleman that help me was very friendly and Courteous. I asked what was the wait time and he said 30 minutes but actually it was about 15 minutes. The service didn’t take long about 30 minutes at the most. The check out time was less than a couple of minutes. I liked the friendly atmosphere. The location was very clean. I had a great experience. I will be back. I’m a happy camper.

Thomas Tires Lindsay Street location was recommended by a work colleague as I am relatively new to the area and had no experience with mechanics here other than a dealership which listed multiple items totaling $5000+ that all had to be fixed right now. Thomas Tires staff were prompt and thorough and recommended a couple of service items that will need my attention soon in a very matter-of-fact, no pressure manner. I will definitely return for future service.

Service time was quicker this time, which is very good. Got a price quote on front brakes, received another quote from a competitor for $30 less. Oil change price here is good especially since I have a diesel.

I’m leaving this review because Thomas tire essentially asked me too (texted me a linkAfter I had had some work done there)This was my recent experience here:I needed some work done on my vehicle($1000+ over two different sessions - because I can’t just leave my vehicle there over night, I need it to drive to/from work). I dropped my vehicle off mid morning and was shuttled back to work. My vehicle was done in a timely manner and the previously discussed plan was to keep the car unlocked and place the keys under the doormat, because I couldn’t get back to it until after I was off at work, which happened to be after Thomas Tire is closed. I caught a Lyft ride over and unfortunately my car was locked, no receipt/paper work inside. Bummer.The next day I call mid morning (busy at work I couldn’t call first thing) and asked about the status was of my car keys (were they locked inside my car or did they have them in the shop - the only 2 plausible scenarios) and I was told that they were in my car and my car was unlocked, when they arrived to this morning. Bummer.Needless to say, my vehicle was unlocked when I got to Thomas tire and my receipt/paperwork was on the passenger seat.Can’t remember if there were any apologies, but there surely wasn’t any effort to help remedy the situation. 3 stars for customer service may be a stretch, but I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt. Miscommunication happens. But please own up to your mistakes.

1. Charged me $64.00 for 3 year warranty that I never asked for or approved. I paid for the tires through the phone and picked up car after hours. Seems awful shady to charge me for something I didnt ask for or approve.2. Receive a call saying car would not pass inspection. Wanted to charge me $832.00 to repair an inspect. Took my car the next day to a reputable inspection station and it pass with no faults.This is a company I will never use and if you value your money you should not either.

Usually good service. Would be nice that when tires are rotated, they check air inflation levels so client doesnt need to return to get them filled properly. But all in all, service always good at this location.

Thomas tire has some of the most honest staff I have seen around. They are detailed and tell you every step as they repair your vehicle. I was surprised that they charged me so little compared for the same service I received from a dealership. I will chose them everyday! This is my go to place. I am happy I found this place!

We took our daughters car there to get 2 tires and alignment. They also found a piece of clothing wedged in between the caliber and rotor. They grinded down the pad to get the burned material off the pad. I was only charged for tires and alignment. The extra care was free! The customer service from beginning to end was awesome. Thomas Tire has great service, a great waiting room, and great people. However, at my last visit I was very disappointed to see that the people at the registers interfacing with the public were not wearing face coverings. There was no way I could pay for my service and be 6 feet away. I didnt feel safe, and expected more from Thomas, given their usual attention to service.

I was in Greensboro NC visiting my daughter and grandson when my vehicle started to smell bad.....really bad. Like a combination of exhaust and gas, and the smell was flooding into the cabin. You could even smell it with the windows open! My in-laws referred me to Thomas Tire and what a Godsend they were! They even took the time to work with my extended warranty company. The price was a lot lower than I thought it would be and they went above and beyond. Great guys! I wish they were in Pennsylvania!!!

I made an appointment and the wait time was short once I got there. I like the fact that there is an area to work remotely while you wait and that the whole waiting area was comfortable and clean. They send you text messages when the work is being done and pictures of the work when its done to keep you informed. I would recommend this place and will go back.

Everyone was very knowledgeable about my car, professional and courteous.I was told prior to coming that with respect to COVID 19 you had a very clean waiting area. However, it was concerning that employees greeting and communicating with guests were not wearing masks. I watched several customers come and go but never saw any type of spot cleaning. When I got in my car there was no plastics on my seats or steering wheel that implied respect to my health or safety.

Thomas tire and automotive is amazing... they were super kind, honest, and informative. Took my vehicle to two other mechanics before them and wasn’t getting any good vibes from the other shops, they were telling me a lot more was wrong with my vehicle than what actually was wrong and overpriced us... (according to some retired mechanic friends) I Called Thomas Auto along with three other shops to try and find a reliable mechanic and the moment I got off the phone with them I knew I wanted to take the van there. They were great, explained everything and went into depth to look into what the other shops had told us and fixed all of it for a way better price. They have my business from now on!

Its no wonder that Thomas Tire and Auto is usually pretty busy, as this a great place to take your car for maintenance, be it large or routine! Very fair prices, excellent customer service, very nice facilities, and courteous, straight-talking staff.Our Nissan recently had some brake issues and problems with the rotors. Also, it was discovered that a part that Thomas replaced two years ago was causing problems. When Chris called to inform me of this, he mentioned (proactively---hows that for an honest mechanic!?!) that this would be under warranty since it was less than 3 years old. This saved us quite a bit of money. After finishing the repairs, our car is driving very well once again! Extremely satisfied with this transaction (though to be fair, we never really love spending money on car repairs).I highly recommend Thomas Tire and Auto for all your automotive service needs. Billy, Matt, Chris, and Brandon will take good care of you, promptly, and at a very reasonable price.

UPDATE: E-mailed Sally, the owner on August 28th. I still have not received a response from her a month later.This was the first time of ever using Thomas Tire, I chose them since they were close to my work and they would pickup and deliver the car. Had a quote for 4 tires out the door price of $569.60 plus $79.99 plus tax for 4 wheel alignment.This is where things started going down hill. The car was picked-up the work was complete the shop calls me and tells me they are about to drop the car off and they are ready for payment. I had to ask them what the total was which was the first red flag. He told me $723, I asked how it was that much since the tires out the door were 569.60 and the alignment was $79.99 so even with 7% sales tax is $85.59 and should of only come to $655.19. So for a business that doesnt have any hidden fees where did this extra $68 come from. The sales rep was like oh sorry there was an extra box checked here, let me uncheck that. I honestly feel like they were just trying to see if they could get a little more out of me. I cant recommend them.

Wonderful place for most repair needs. Everyone is very welcoming and friendly. Everything is communicated very openly and clear. Repairs are timely and quick. Ive been a few times and everything has been on the same quality each time, I highly recommend this place.

I thoroughly enjoy taking my vehicle here. Everyone is friendly, knowledgeable, and does not talk over my head when I have no clue what a doomaflachee is. Prices are very reasonable and waiting area is always clean and pleasant if I choose to stay. They also have a very handy shuttle service if you work downtown.

Simply the most pleasant experience I have ever had at an automotive service center. The staff was efficient, friendly, and warm, they carried out repairs promptly at a much lower price than I expected, and the waiting area is more like a chic hotel lobby than a tire shop! The folks at Thomas Tire were very professional and courteous. When asked for my A/C to be serviced, they said it wasn’t really necessary. It was refreshing to have a automotive shop try NOT to sell me a service. I received texts during the day on the progress of my service and one telling me my car was ready. It was an excellent experience and would recommend Thomas Tire to friends and family.

They give very detailed synopsis of your car, building is very clean, everybody is courteous, and prices are nice! They text you updates on your service too!

Clean facility, and fantastic service. If you want it done right, this is the spot.

1. Within days after getting 2 new tires put on my car, I took a turn and the front right tire basically broke off and turned at a 90-degree angle relative to the car. The tow truck driver and another mechanic friend told me that any decent mechanic that has your safety in mind would take 30 seconds to check the part that broke and realize it needed to be replaced and tell you about it. What shouldve been a $150-$200 repair ended up being $1250 all said and done.2. A bad valve cover was causing the car to idle rough. It took several weeks to get the part and when they did, it wasnt installed correctly. As the car was riding down the road, it came loose and sprayed oil all over the engine compartment. We took it to another mechanic who quickly diagnosed what was wrong and fixed it, probably saving us thousands of dollars compared to if we had gone to Thomas Tire.3. They replaced a water pump with a new pump that broke within 2 months. Luckily this was covered by them but this happened before the issue with the valve cover I just described so they dont seem to be very skilled at making repairs and they dont use quality parts it seems.

Thomas Tire has done it again. They managed to find me a wheel and tire $400 cheaper than the dealership did after blowing out my tire and damaging my rim. I love these guys. They have never tried to cheat me and always get my services done extremely fast. Couldn’t recommend them enough.

I came in as a referral from my auto body shop. My first time at this shop was a pleasant experience. I was able to finish up work in the customer lounge as well as watch the service being performed on my car. The tire and labor pricing was very reasonable and I was able to get my new tires on quickly and efficiently. My customer service rep was pleasant and knowledgeable.

Thomas Tire was great! I made appointment online and the process was super easy. Upon walking in, the place is really nice, there are snacks and drinks available as well as bikes to rent/borrow while you’re car is worked on, which I thought was really near.They were pretty fast working on my car. I stopped it off at 8 am for and oil change and an inspection and got my inspection results by 8:30. They let me know I needed new tires on the front, worked with my pricing needs, and had my car ready for me by 3pm. Their phones were down that day but Cheyanne the girl at the desk kept me updated all day.They definitely went above and beyond and I was totally satisfied.

I scheduled my car to have an inspection and new tires online. Thomas tire sent me a coupon for $10 off and they were the lowest price after I checked 3 other tire places! They texted me the inspection with pictures (since my son was taking the car). He was in and out in an hour and a half. Great first time service! Will be coming back!!

I had the BEST experience with Thomas Tire. I called in the morning asking if I could come by later without an appointment just to get a regular car check-up and they said sure. Later on I walked in and my car was taken back right away. Maybe I got lucky with the timing but the service was excellent as well. The facility was also really nice, and I was informed of everything that needed or didnt need to be done. The price was great too! Highly recommend!

They are always proactive in telling you what services are recommended but also realistic in what should be done. Love the texting option they use for communication and convenience.
