Traveling in NC, I was several hours from Hickory, where my parents lived for 40 years. My dad used to take me to the Olde Hickory Tavern and we loved their home brew. Imagine how happy I was to find a location in Greensboro where I could buy some of their beer. This place has EVERYthing. Highly recommended.

Snazzy little place with some fantastic brews. Had a Burial(s) beer on tap the few times I have been, which are usually amazing even despite the high cost. You get what you pay for. Usually a nice crowd of varying ages.

Dans a good guy. He cares about his costumers and his regulars and it shows. Good selection of NC beers for draft and growlers too. Some BA stuff that you cant find as easily around town.

Absolutely wonderful place to taste. With such a nice staff, youll be tempted to turn GCG into your regular watering hole. I had such a great time there on Christmas Eve! Ill definitely be returning soon. Check em out! Rob was also the incredibly knowledgeable about everything he was asked!

Popped in here from out of town to pick up some beers for the hotel room. Ended up spending many hours and drinking a few beers talking to the bartender and visitors. Cool local hangout, an out of town couple had a blast there too.

This place has a great selection of craft beers. I didnt count the taps, but I would guess it was close to 20 beers on tap.There is plenty of bottled beer to choose from as well, I just always prefer to bring in my growler to refill instead. But there are plenty of options for everyone.Dan, the owner, is a super nice guy who is genuinely excited about his craft. He is very knowledgeable about beer and the place has a great vibe to it.

I love craft beer but I dont have the time/money to keep up with it. Thankfully, I can walk into Gate City Growler and ask for whats new and interesting and I walk out with a great selection of beers.

Tried to order a beer at 9:58pm when Gate City Growlers is open until 10:30pm on a Saturday and was turned away because the bartender “stopped pouring for the night.” When I asked what time the last call was, I was told “it depends, we work fluctuating hours.” He turned away 5 people who walked in as well because he felt like stopping service for the night because it was slow. How can a business not have legitimate hours they are open when a bartender can decide to stop serving beer and then stand behind the bar the last 30 minutes drying cups?
