Wonderful place! Located in Downtown Greenville around some other cool looking businesses. I got the half dozen assorted. They were fantastic! I highly recommend getting that and sharing with a few people.

Ok … this was a unique little place, a variety of waffle delights to try, and a few coffee drinks to enjoy as well. The staff was pleasant enough, and the food came quickly. The place was clean and quiet, easy to enjoy early morning. It was a bit pricey, though. ($23 for what is pictured 😬), and I can’t say I enjoyed it that much more than a similarly arranged/tasting breakfast from elsewhere for $10-$12. But, hey … if you haven’t been, give it a try. One more thing you can mark off your bucket list 😊.

Well.....for my first time today was of an experience....walking up to the building from the outside look as thought it was closed. The windows are dirty from inside out. Walking in I was greeted. Continued to the menu which is to your left and check out what was offered. Asked a few questions and the guy there was great at answering my questions!! Even tho the inside was dusty looking. I really enjoyed my 1st experience. Oh btw the coffee is strong just like I like it!! I enjoyed will return soon.🙌🏿💯

Ignoring for a second that the food is always and without exception delicious, if for nothing else come here for the customer service. The employees care and appreciate your business. Case in point - tonight, I placed a late online pickup order just before close. The closing employees still made my order, called to let me know theyd hold it until I came by to pick it up even after they closed, and even though my dumb self chose both the hot and cold drink option they still took the time to make my drink. And did I mention the food is outstanding? Outstanding job, Smashed Waffles!

What an awesome place! My kids loved it as did me and my wife. They arent full size waffles its a bit smaller but custom made. The waffle it self has a great flavor and the toppings just make it all come together so well. We ordered 12 waffles and got all different flavors, none disappointed! We will be back.

This is an exceptional place, Chelsea and Pat were very welcoming and well mannered. The bff is the best waffle sandwich that I ever had. As a tourist I would definitely come back here again.

Finally stopped in here after hearing about it for the past year. Cant believe I waited so long to visit!. Food and the drinks were amazing. Cant wait to stop back in for another meal sooner than later.

Amazing waffles and very friendly service

The waffles are nice and crispy, yet fluffy inside. The sandwich was really good the chatty patty, my daughter had the chicken lils. The customer service is really good and so is the coffee. Not a coffee nut, but it was good. The atmosphere is kind of sleek and smooth. Really liked it.

It was my first time visiting this business. I and my best friend whom had been here once visited with her daughter already knew what to order. I order Savory Sandwich Thats What Cheese Said and it was fresh, Hot and very nice. My Best friend ordered Swisskey and two waters. What really grabbed my attention was the female bathroom. It was very clean and decorated as a southern style feel and offered feminine products as a courtesy. This impressed me in times like these days. The male cashier was very polite and had good courtesy mannerism. In the near future I plan on returning to try something different.

Awesome change of pace and the waffles are ooey gooey sticky perfection. My favorite is actually the plain though.The owners have phenomenal vision and design for only two locations. The branding, the decor, the service is all 5 star worthy. The gentleman that took my order was over the top nice.

Food was fine, but the employees on Labor Day were openly and loudly complaining about the not being tipped by the family before us. Acting as though they were entitled to a tip. This caused us to not tip as well. They were clearly treating us different afterwards as well as my girlfriend hearing the cook utter “ass hole” afterwards. Frankly, we felt uncomfortable in the whole situation and more than likely won’t be returning. I have no problem tipping when I go out to restaurants and places where I’m being waited on but to openly talk bad about customers not tipping in front of other customers just shows bad customer service. I don’t know why the other family didn’t tip, maybe it was due to the poor service and rude employees.

Great concept and really creative combinations with sweet and savory pairings. They have some breakfast sandwich choices and the dessert for breakfast selections. There are also some coffee options to choose from. Good place for breakfast or a late night snack!

Unique Little Waffle Shop,, I expected traditional waffles, instead these delicious little waffle treats hit the spot. I hope they expand the menu! Maybe offer sides along with the waffles? It was a little pricey, but worth it because of the flavor, and the staff was super nice, especially the guy cashier, not sure his name.

It was good as usual(3rd visit). The only problem was that I paid over $10. for my waffle and Latte and I could have gotta the special for $5 but with coffee. As I sat near the register eating I could hear the cashier tell everyone about the special....no one told me about it...I had a different cashier when I ordered and she did not mention it eventhough I asked her questions and paused in between my ordering, not sure what I wanted. Otherwise I would have given them 5 stars.

This place is a great addition to downtown. It is a great place for a waffle and coffee. They even have sandwiches now. They deliver locally, even late night

On the app there is not an option to choose an no-dairy option for your coffee, so I wrote in the notes that I would prefer non-dairy milk. When I received my order they had written a sweet note on my coffee cup that they used almond milk. Great Customer Service !!

They can take a minute, but well worth the wait. So damn good! But really, dont thing this is going to be a quick stop if you dont order ahead.

Everything you would expect from just reading the name, the food is good, staff is very friendly, and its in a convenient place downtown.

The waffles are quite sweet and the flavor fusions are artful of the culinary craft. Your pallet is sure to be satisfied. The portions sizes were not what I expected.

Waffles tasted good but there is nothing that gives even a pretense of healthy eating on the menu. Will not visit again unless they add some more health-aware options.

To be honest I’m super disappointed in a place that I loved so dearly and have ordered from time and time again. This morning roughly between 10:30-10:45am I decided to drop by the actual store instead of getting delivery. Mind u I had my mask with me but as I walked in no one had a mask on including the cashier who swiftly pulled up her mask over face and said firmly YOU CANNOT COME IN WITHOUT A MASK SIR! I don’t wanna make this a race thing because I feel this company is a bigger than this but we were the only two African American people in the store. Not one customer had a mask on period!!!!!!! “What are we infected because we are black? I mean really!!! Come on smash waffle ms do better!!!

A friend took us here for a short break. One good thing about this place is the staff is very friendly 👍 However the waffles just reminded me of cute little kids food with no taste 😣I kept eating and trying to make it taste good but I only got a tummy ache instead. My review is that its a cute place for kids if you have the money 👌

Everytime I want to order or get some it’s close, time changes every week. They don’t close late how they use too. Last time I went they close earlier cause the next day there was a football game . Don’t make sense

The face on the logo says it all. The tongue is out and the eyes are closed. So, is the logo dead or giving me the tongue because the food is just not that good. I thought that this was a full service breakfast restaurant specializing in waffles. I had a strange feeling that after spending $23.01 for 6 small waffles and two drinks for four people plus the free water, I was bamboozled and or hoodwinked into believing that we were in for a treat. The waffles seemed to have been freshly made a day or two before and microwaved when I placed my order. The coffee was very strong or just burnt lacking freshness.The best thing was the free water. The staff was courteous and attentive even though I am sure they would rather not have worked on the 4th of July holiday. Nevertheless, this will be my first and last visit to this establishment.

Delivery experience only, but delivery times have always been prompt and sometimes have been early. When a small addition to my order was missed, before I even realized it wasnt there, I received a message saying they had refunded me for the cost of the missed item.The sausage egg and cheese waffle sandwich was amazinggg~ like a much higher quality sausage egg cheese from mcdonalds, the waffles work great savory with cheese.Their special lattes are tasty, and while the waffles might be a little more than you would pay for waffles at a regular breakfast place, the quality of the batter is great and the toppings options are nice (it would be nice to find out where they post what the weekly rotating flavors are though, I havent been able to find it)All in all, a nice treat every now and then for those who like this kind of waffle style

They are one of a kind. Smashed Waffles has an amazing selection with a menu that will satisfy any craving. The bagel waffle with cream cheese, honey and jelly is my new favorite snack!

I’ve never been disappointed coming to Smashed Waffles 🤩. Every experience has been super awesome with great tasting food, and even greater service. Their workers are kind and attentive and the atmosphere is very chill and enjoyable. Definitely a highlight of Greenville, and the upcoming Dickinson Ave.My go-to order is usually the Happy-Go-Clucky, but I also love trying their waffle of the week!

Crazy good stuff. I’m not from the area and this was recommended to me. Nice little place with a decent amount of seating for its size. I had a waffle wich and a chip chip horay and they were both quite good. I also had a hazel nut latte which was also quite good. The staff is nice and super helpful in explaining what they have to offer. Definitely worth a visit.

I have visited smash waffles a bunch of times to grab a dozen or 2 dozen waffles. I can pick which ones I want and I want them all! I sometimes get a dozen to bring home to my family but usually I get a dozen or 2 to bring into work as a cheerful breakfast for my co workers and I. The waffles are amazing! Creative and delicious! The waffles have been made right in front of me which I think is cool to watch they come out hot fresh and amazing! Smash waffles is one of a kind! I’m so happy and grateful that the owners brought something unique to Greenville and really worked hard to perfect their business and constantly bringing new waffles to their customers! Cheers to them! Gosh now I’m craving smash waffles...

Great bfast! Freshly prepared waffles! Sandwich and coffee for $5 is a great deal! The sweet waffles are big enough for sharing to get that sweet bit at the end of your meal or perfect with a cup ojoe!!!

I would give them a 5 star but they only serve pork (besides chicken) and they only have maple syrup but if you eat pork this place is A1

Nice little place down town not to far from ECU great food and service. I ate there for brunch and loved it the chicken and waffles were delicious! There egg and cheese waffle sandwich was good too.

Went in with 2 adults and two children. The total was around $25. Everything was really really good. The kids loved the pizza waffle! And the chicken,bacon, cheese waffle was amazing as well!!!If your just want to stop in for coffee, they have lattes and such for cheaper than you would pay at a Starbucks or another chain.Now the main thing here is desserts, but we came here for lunch, and were very pleased.

Smashed Waffles is a unique experience if you enjoy waffles and excellent coffee. I specifically recommend the Nitro Cold Brew coffee. Located near a variety of restaurants, Smashed Waffle is a great place to grab a sweet dessert after dinner or to get your “pick me up” during the day.

Incredible experience from start to finish. The employee that I dealt with up front took my order generously and quickly. After finishing up with that and attempting to pay, the machine was having an issue processing the payment. With quick action from her and another employee, we were all able to get it sorted out quickly and easily. This all was good enough to give a good review in my experience but to top it all off, the waffles were incredible. Couldn’t ask for a better experience and will definitely be back to try their dessert waffles!

LOVE LOVE LOVE SMASH WAFFLES. I literally go once a week. It’s definitely pricey but it’s a nice treat after a long day of work, passing a final, etc. I love the swirly sin. My only reason for the 4 stars is because they randomly changed their hours from 10 to 8 on weekdays and midnight on the weekends.

I really enjoyed the atmosphere in the store everyone was really friendly. The waffles were really good. The only thing that I could say that need a change would be the chicken tasted like it was not made at the store. But all around it is a great place to go.

Beautiful aesthetic! Love the food! I literally go there at least once a week, and it’s not to sweet. I love their lattes and their “waffle whiches” are an incredible combination of flavor. Parking sometimes is limited on the weekends when it’s late and the breweries are open, but still definitely worth it! Also they deliver🤗

The waffles are great but a little pricey. Best to buy a dozen because you get them cheaper when you buy more. They are delicious. Their eating area is small so it is easier to take out.

First time actually eating inside their brick and mortar location. Only had the food truck version once before. Wife and kiddos ordered a variety of waffles. I ordered a waffle sandwich. All were quite tasty. The waffle sandwich was kind of similar to a McGriddles concept. Overall it was a good visit. For some reason I kind of expected more variety. Maybe some sort of side item maybe? But we will definitely go back!! Best while eaten hot and fresh!!

Sweetness overload but SO tasty! Its hard not to get one of each but you risk succumbing to a diabetic coma... Nitro coffee amongst other breakfast beverages round out the experience - if you like Fruity Pebbles, dont miss the Cereal Thriller waffle!

Extremely dissatisfied, everything is frozen, the waffles are flavorless. The sandwiches are too expensive for what they are and how they taste. If you have any taste buds you will most likely feel the same way. Also this place not baby friendly as there are no changing tables in the restroom. The staff was nice but the food and coffee was horrible.

Kids love this place. Having moved from Greenville I wish we had stayed with all the new family friendly things downtown. Smash is one of them. We get the kids the minis which can come in a simple 6 pack to split up. The coffee is great. The staff is always upbeat and personable. Our last venture there was fantastic as the staff kept our kids entertained during a slow period while we got to enjoy our waffles and coffee.

Waffles to die for. Sweet, savory its all good. Try the coffee too, its on point. The nitro cold brew will get you where you need to go.

Visited them this morning and ordered the Chatty Patty breakfast sandwich (sausage patty, fried egg and cheese on Belgian waffle). Service was quick, friendly and good. Waited just a few minutes but to receive freshly made food was worth it. I will be visiting again soon.
