I am so VERY pleased with everyone at Girard Nissan! I have been a loyal customer for the past 3 years and just got my second car from them. I am so glad that my friends and family recommended them to me! I will continue to purchase future cars from them due to their amazing customer service. My salesman was Austin. He was extremely professional, kind, patient, and went out of his way to help me in anyway that he could. He never pressured me like most salesman do. He is truly an asset to your company. I have only the best to say about the Service Department at Girard Nissan. Their Service Department, especially Darling, always made sure to explain things in a way that I would understand. They are friendly, reliable, efficient, and very knowledgeable. I never felt like I was being taken advantage of. I would never bring my Altima to a different shop. If you have a Nissan, you really should go here.

Went in for an oil change after purchasing a 2019 Nissan Altima two months prior. Was my first oil change since the purchase and was told the first one would be free. Upon arrival the gentleman working the service desk told me the oil change being free only applies when you purchase a new 2021 vehicle not a used one. I said I was told it was in my notes that it would be free please check with someone. After 15 minutes of back and forth and speaking to other employees, the gentleman told me “he would take care of me and do it for free” instead of apologizing and admitting he was wrong. Then another employee walked by and said to him, “it says free oil change in the notes” in which he replied, I didn’t know if it was true or not but I’m taking care of him now. Then I was asked if I wanted to have my car washed or “get out quicker” and not have it washed. I said please do wash it. After an hour went by I stood up and walked towards the desk when I realized my car is parked back out front as if it was done, so I went to the desk where I was told it was waiting to be washed. I said okay and sat back down, 15 minutes later it hadn’t moved so I walked up to check out and not have it washed because I was so irritated with the customer service I wanted to get out of there. I check out and leave, as going down the hill I head a jingling coming from under my car. I had to return back to the dealership where I went inside and told the front desk of my issue, an employee came out and found a bungee cord hooked onto my grill and dragging on the road, they apologized and said that shouldn’t happen ever. Overall my experience was horrible and I am completely unsatisfied.

I was greeted immediately upon arrival. Everyone from Service to the General Manager checked on me to make sure I was being helped. I was notified my car was ready and I was given my keys. The car was sparkling when the tech brought it to me. (I chose to wait outside because it was beautiful out)

Once again a great experience!! I purchase a vehicle that I was unhappy with for personal reasons after having only a few weeks. I walked into the dealership expecting only to look at cars. My lease was coming to an end and didnt even think I could trade in early. I was greeted by a professional, welcoming, easy-to-talk-to salesperson. I was shown options for trade-ins. Bottom line, I walked out the same day with a new car. Buying process was a breeze, folks at dealership welcomed me to their family. Loved every moment of the experience! Highly recommend!

This dealership was the worse I have ever had to deal with. If you need a car registered out of state here forget it. If you are from a different state I guess you are not good enough to get a car there even when you are approved for a loan. They were horrible returning calls and would not listen to what our needs were. After a week of not hearing back we were able to get hold of them and told they would not sell us a car. Their loss. Went to a different dealership and drove away with a car 2 hours later.

Service above and beyond!! Broke down in Lowe’s parking lot on a rainy Saturday around noon. Our roadside service line was busy so I called Girard directly. Jose in service set up a tow so we didn’t have to wait on hold. When the tow company didn’t contact us after 15 min Jose followed up. He also contacted us at 12:35 to make sure the tow company was on the way before he left for the day. Kudos to you Jose!!

I’m not happy, I brought my car for body work and left with the car with engine light and air bag light on, I returned back, they fixed the engine light, told me that maybe was air from my fuel cover (maybe was that) I don’t know what happen because after the accident I drove my car with no issue showing on my dashboard I told them to make sure to have the technician take a look, they told me no issue was found. Then Why I got my airbag sign showing??. Something that was done while they were working on my car and not willing to fixed it because of need of another insurance approval.What a inconvenience!!! Now I have to go and get a second opinion, I’m very upset with this situation.

I had some rattling noise going on in the front and it seems to be better with an alignment and tire rotation. I really like the concierge service. It’s very convenient for me. The morning I came in and bought my car, my other car could not make it up a steep driveway in slush and was forced to call out. I had heard an add on a radio about helping people with not the greatest credit. I walked in there and said all of that and needed a Christmas miracle. Everyone was great! Bobby was my sales rep and he went above and beyond for me. Helped me fill out the application so it would look a little better, and actually treated me like a person. 2/3 months prior to this I had walked into Nissan of Norwich and when I tried to apply, the guy laughed at me and said no bank would ever pick me up. Had made me feel horrible. Girard Nissan was the complete opposite and will highly recommend them to everyone!!

We loved our experience here. We were walk in customers without an appointment. The salesman Bobby Sanchez was very helpful and nice, he didnt rush use despite he had another customer coming in shortly for an appointment.He worked with us to come up with a deal that we could be happy with and wasnt pushy. Even though we already had financing through our bank, he checked and was able to get us a better rate by more than 2 points. They were upfront and honest about their dealer fees (unlike other dealers we have dealt with in the oast), the fees were reasonable as well. While we waited to sit down with the financial office, they extended the offer to sit in the customer lounge with our one year old. The customer lounge was stocked nicely with complimentary coffee, water, soda, and snacks. Since we had to wait a while due to how busy they were on a weekend day, they threw in Scotchgard protection for free. I totally plan on purchasing my next car from there.

Not satisfied with my service at all. Went in to purchase a car with AWD before the bad weather hits because I’m pregnant and didn’t want my current car to break down if I go into labor. Sales person was not willing to work with my price range at all and was practically trying to sell a car to my husband (who was there for support and not going to be included in the sale at all) rather than talking to me, the actual customer. To me this company comes off as rude and greedy with numbers that don’t make sense and aren’t worth it. Find a better deal elsewhere.

I had an appointment for an oil change/tires rotated on Saturday, 10/03/2020 at 9:30 am. my car was not ready until 11:30. I checked with Service at 11:00 am as I was waiting for my car and was told two (2) technicians called out. It would have been nice if I was told this upon my arrival. A two (2) hour oil change is inexcusable. This caused me to have to cancel an appointment I had at 11:30.Due to your construction, the waiting room has been relocated to the showroom. I was disgusted that the majority of your staff had masks on, but they were not covering their mouth or nose. Several of your staff members did have a mask on, but their nose was not covered. Shame on all of you.DISGUSTED!!!

I strongly recommend Girard Nissan! We recently purchased two pathfinders within 6 months, one from here and another from a different dealership. Thankfully we had a much better experience here. We worked with Bobby who was very knowledgeable, patient, and helped us find the vehicle we were searching for instead of pushing for a sale. This kind of service is unheard of now a days when buying a car! The owner Charlie also came over to us during the purchase process to ensure we were satisfied with the services we were receiving. My mother is an elderly woman. She went to the dealership by herself unbeknownst to myself. She walked out of there so confused. Looking at her paperwork from parts, it made no sense with the previous conversation with the service Dept. They also tried to get her to have her radiator flushed, which she just recently had done! I am not impressed with this dealership at all! In any of my dealings with the service department at Gerard Nissan I come away feeling like I’m being talked into more services than I need or not being told the truth. I am not the only customer that has complained about this. Shame on them for trying to rack up a bill on an elderly woman!

Great service! Went in for routine maintenance on my truck. The drop off service was very convenient and saved me from having to wait or coordinate getting picked up.The real surprise was when I went to pick up the truck and they noticed that the tires were better off how they were than being rotated so they didnt charge me for the rotation! Very refreshing to see se honesty from a dealer after the last dealer I went to tried to add in unnecessary maintenance and up charge for everything.

Went to Girard Nissan for service on my Altima 08 and cant say enough how well was treated. Had issues with my car for a while, went to many other places with no positive results. Garrett from Girard Nissan service was amazing and provided me with excellent customer service. Would highly recommend him as a service advisor. Also interacted with Darlene and Bill whom both were very nice and treated me well. Thank you to all technicians who worked on my vehicle and made it run so smoothly and truly I am very grateful. Finally able to enjoy my car again. Plan on visiting this place many more times in the near future. Great work, attention to details, not expensive. Also they offer rentals or shuttle drives to or from work and I took advantage of both.

After utilizing the Build Your Own website, I immediately received a call from this dealership. I scheduled a time for a test drive later that week. I was met by a personable young man and I told him who I had scheduled my test drive with. He went and got her, she came out and greeted me, and said that the young fellow would be taking care of me, and he did! He was not a glib, yakety-yak salesman, when I asked him a question, if he didnt know the answer, he looked it up on his computer. I like that. He then brought up a car for me to test drive. I like the way it rode but it didnt have all the features I wanted. He then brought up a car that did, but it wasnt the color I had asked for. However, I actually liked the looks of the second car better! We then sat and he explained the pricing and the discounts that were applicable to me and I thought the bottom line was a fair price, plus, I qualified for the zero percent financing, which I didnt know Nissan offered. I then left and arranged for the down payment and the rest is history.

Went in suspecting the transmission needed to be replaced. Bill in the service dept said let his guys take a look at it and the next day he called and said Transmission is good. Your problem was a leaking, faulty speed sensor and two front belt pulleys. and a flush and clean transmission fluid and my 20 yr old Nissan frontier p/u is good for quite a few more years.

I read the comments at the bottom of my bill. They said I declined service of my brakes n replacing 2 tiresI was not told of this. I most certainly would have my brakes done. Fast Forward: August 4, 2019. 8k miles, 9 months of ownership. I find corrosion on the interior of my vehicle. I go back to Nissan for service under corrosion warranty and I am denied service. Nissan boasts 5 years unlimited mileage corrosion warranty. My vehicle is not covered under this warranty? Paint bubbling off the roof. Corrosion Interior. Vehicle sat in Groton for WEEKS!!! Bill the Service Manager tells me to clean this with Fantastik. Is normal, he says. The Men of Nissan are giving me 100% girl-treatment and ought to be ashamed of themselves. Shame on Nissan and Bill specifically, shame on him to speak to me such a way and to put me through all this for months. He would treat his sister this way? His mother this way? Go clean corrosion from new car with Fantastik? This is not normal wear and tear, this is an embarrassment, Bill and Nissan. Theres been a leak inside my vehicle for the duration of my ownership, brand new car, and not one of these men is stepping up to fix it.Original Review: Difficult and disappointing car buying. I wanted to write a different review tonight. Had a great test drive with a NV200 cargo. Salesman opened up the two sliding doors, I check out the interior, wonderful space, love the flooring. With the two side doors open, I see knockout panels on the rear side panels for windows to be installed on the side in the rear. After seeing the rear panels, I asked the salesman if the knockouts are also present on the side doors, he slides one shut... YES!! knock-out panel present on both rear sliders also. We make a deal for my sales price to include privacy tinted windows installed in the rear and a timely delivery. Today was delivery day and Nissan only put in half the windows we talked about. Im at home, drove two hours to Groton for nothing, no van, and nothing better to do ~!! I cant start packing my nonexistant van for vacation ~! Leaving Connecticut Nov 1st for 60 days trip, and included in that trip, stupid NV200 has some nonrefundable boat and train tickets. NISSAN I WILL GRATEFULLY AND GLEEFULLY UPDATE THIS TWO STAR REVIEW IF YOU FOLLOW THROUGH ON OUR DEAL FOR WINDOWS IN THE REAR ON TIME FOR VACATION !!Update October 31 2018: Nissan pulled it out at the last moments !! Van delivered late, but the windows we talked about a couple weeks ago are there now ~!!Nissan was stuck buying the additional windows out of the misunderstanding... But I can go on vacation without canceling anything !! Everything is just kinda thrown in the van, somewhere in Georgia or North Florida Ill have to take a day to get situated for the following weeks of road tripping... but thats doable. Im so grateful Nissan has the relationships with their after market vendors to get these jobs done FAST. By the way, with that tint, you can barely see the white lid to one of my totes in the rear of the van. Great tint and looks smart. Who knows what wouldve happened with these windows at another dealership, I do know what happened here, they totally fixed the misunderstanding. Good guys. My experience at Girard Nissan has not been what I would call exceptional. The service department runs efficiently but the up selling of services is just too much. Ive had many problems with my 2016 Nissan Rogue that are all documented. Most recently the gasket around my sun roof needed to be replaced and wasnt covered under the extended warranty although Im fairly certain the problem with the gasket occurred when it had to be reinstalled after the motor on my sunroof went and it wasnt reinstalled properly. Needless to say, the gasket replacement was $400+. Needed brake pads replaced and was quoted $180 per axle and this was with lifetime guarantee brake pads from the first time I had pads replaced at Nissan. The motor went on my windshield wipers and that tool over a week to replace. Like I said, the service department runs efficiently but theres always something else they find when I bring the car in for servicing. Like the time I took it in for an oil change and they told me I needed a new air filter and cabin filter but I had just replaced them myself 2 months prior...hmmmm. Unfortunately, I will never purchase another Nissan due to all the problems Ive experienced with my Rogue that only has $72K miles on it.

Although I always do my car service here I have not got that level of satisfaction. It is costly definitely but something happened today that lowered my confidence level further. I change my car key batteries here every time but today when I changed it here, they said the old battery in the key was not an authorized one and they dont sell there. I was shocked to hear that. So even though they say all best services being provided there...its all the same.

I have been buying new cars for 50 years. That said, Ive been dealing with service departments and service managers for a long time. Cant say much good about any of them until recently. My car was towed (without my knowledge or consent) to Girard Nissan for a service problem. Since I had no history with Girard, I didnt expect much. Boy, was I wrong! I literally had the best service experience of my life. All due to one man, the service manager at Girard, Jose Arriaga. He stayed in contact with me throughout the service process and worked my car until it was finished.Not only is Jose a credit to his profession, He is a credit to Girard Nissan.Strictly because of Jose, I would not hesitate to recommend the Girard service department to anyone. From my point of view, Jose is one in a million - Good Man!

03-09-2020 Girard Nissan - Groton CTSynthetic Oil change/courtesy checkup.1st, I was thrilled when I was informed that a complimentary car wash and vacuum is part of the Oil Change service .Overall I had another great experience working with Service Advisor Garrett Wright !Garrett informed me that I needed a drive belt t and reminded me that my tires were in dire need to be changed. Garret was sensitive to my financial concerns and gave me a great deal on four new tires and when the ones originally quoted were unavailable, he upgraded the tires with no extra charge, added discounts so the oil change was free. Finally my car was fixed in the promised time frame even thought a added the tire purchase in mid service. I was once again amazed and thanking God for the blessing of having a service advisor like Garrett. Great service, technicians and great people ! Girard Nissan - Groton !

Bill in the Service Department at Girard Nissan really came through today! I called late in the day on Friday asking if they could fit my moms car in while she was driving through the area and was having car trouble. Even though it turned out nothing was wrong with the car, he made her feel safe and sent her on her way. Thanks Bill!

We found ourselves needing a new car after mother nature dropped a car on our existing family vehicle resulting in it being towed to the collision center at Girard Nissan. From the very first contact with Meredith in collision center, we were guided through a very difficult time with patience and care. Meredith was wonderful walking us through the process and eventually delivering the news that our car was indeed a total loss. We had never bought a car from Girard Nissan, but Merediths attention to our needs bought us to the showroom this past weekend. We were greeted by a delightful man, Robert Bedard, and were again treated with respect and professional attention to our needs as a family with 3 young children. He was not pushy at all, and made the car shopping experience a stress free one, which is usually not the case. He was well informed of the vehicles we might like to consider and worked with us on a budget that was comfortable for our family. The great experience did not stop there! Joe, the Business Manager continued with the attention to detail, and again made us feel as though we were making decisions on our own instead of being pressured into coverage that was not necessary. Overall, there was a silver lining to the end of our stressful week prior dealing with a tree on our car. Without that happening, we would have never had the opportunity to work with such a terrific and professional group of people that are employed at Girard Nissan. I guarantee we will be returning customers... although hopefully not in the near future : )

I serviced my Frontier religiously at Nissan of Norwich where I bought the vehicle. I have had the tires rotated every 10K miles so thats about 12 times. I brought my vehicle to Girad Nissan because it is now within walking distance to my living situation. The tire rotation done by Girad has caused a tire sensor issue. Not satisfied at all with the service.

Austin and George were absolutely phenomenal with their efforts and determination to get me into a car. Not only that but they made sure it fit my life and budget. They were sensitive to every need and situation. I would also like to commend Brenna for sticking with and keeping tabs on me even though i hadnt been into the showroom or contacted anyone there in a month. It was a complete and total team effort. I normally dont do surveys because i dont believe in them or think they are very effective but i had to make sure i did one this time for everyone there. Even all the way down to the best basketball player that i have watched in this are picking me up at my house to get things done (Torrin)......i truly hope they all get notified of this survey. also that they get the appreciation and public kudos they wholeheartedly deserve. I will most definitely return.
