The store is always clean, great customer service, also convenient to everyone that lives in the New London county.

The store is still being rearranged, which results in items being displaced, not in aisles marked for items, missing items on shelves, aisles that are too narrow for two carts to pass comfortably and oversized aisles. Why rearrange the store and make it harder to find things, especially when we are trying to minimize time spent in public places? I left after taking several laps around the store looking for one specific item. Tried calling them later to ask where it is in the store but no one answered the phone after many rings. If youre looking for loose baking potatoes, dont bother in this store since they had only a few on a tiered, single depth shelf display, which included one with mold.

Donna, the manager of the Stop and Shop deli in Groton, Ct, and her staff are fantastic. I ordered several deli trays and platters for a surprise birthday party. Since I live out of town everything was done by phone. I was given advice about what to order and the most economical way to purchase it.The night before the party I received a phone call from Donna explaining there had been a water main break near the store ; but, not to worry she and a staff member were going to go to another location at 6:00 a.m. to complete the order. Because she went above and beyond, the food was ready on time and everything was perfect. I really appreciate her professionalism, helpfulness and caring. Stop and Shop is fortunate to have her as their deli manager.

Go to shop rite their prices are ridiculous even with their so called discount card even your items on sale are still more than shop rite regular prices shop rite prices are way better trust me do the comparison like I did. Also when shop rite has a sale its a way cheaper than your sales do the math by far blows your out of the water. Step up your game may be you can compete with shop rite I tryed you guys no contest!!

Shopping during peak hours with only one cashier and a line 7 deep. Normally wouldnt care however store managers were all standing around talking instead of doing their jobs. Left our cart to go to Big Y. Sad to see higher ups refuse to work. Also worked here years ago and was told to quit because I requested time off because my Father was dying of cancer. This company only cares about money.

Store is remodeling. Still good experience. Had to get help finding items.. staff helped. Went thru self checkout. I needed help due to beer. No issues.

Really good selection of products and foods! The prices are a little high for many things but overall it is a great supermarket.

Almost every product I needed was out of stock. I went to Shop Rite NL and the shelves were fully stocked, found everything. Whoever owns and operates this store is doing a very poor job. The store is in complete disseray, extremely chaotic and unorganized, shelves are basically empty when I went. Will never go again.

Staff is very helpful and friendlyBut reason for the starProduce is aweful and things are expired . Can’t tell you how many times IV bought stuff and I didn’t notice date . So check your dates because this store is notorious for not removing expired products off their shelves !

Love this store I always find everything I need, the produce department is amazing fruit and vegetables are always super fresh, Dimitri is friendly and courteous. Also the Dely department is very nice.

New layout just needs getting used to but other than that, they always have what i need at reasonable prices

The staff is very helpful and friendly. Wendy the greeter smiles and says hello. I see her working hard cleaning the carriages with the guys who get them. I noticed she does the hand baskets too. Produce department is great too. I wanted to use the scale and a man helped me with the item number to figure out the exact price of what I was going to buy. When checking out the bagger asked me if I needed help with my items. I dont remember his name. It was nice because I did end up buying more than I had expected.

This is a regular and overall pleasant grocery storeBut,At the self-checkout, the lady tending to the machines was overseeing said machines, I gestured a hello towards her and in response, she gave me this soul searing stare.Suffice to say I was confused and left the building.

Everything was all good until checkout. The Self checkout register kept acting up. But I survived 😁✌🏾

I like shopping here sometimes when they have sales and I like that Stop & Shop has a wide variety of baked goods and I like shopping in the International food section for sweets from England, Germany and Poland

Stop & Shop has everything you could need for groceries and miscellaneous self care and toiletries. I was surprised with the variety of brands and cleanliness of the store. Both were outstanding.

I believe that Shop & Shop is more expensive than some other similar Grocery stores. Also the Wings to go for $5, the quantity and quality had declined greatly

The meat specials are to die for! No literally, these guys arent fooling anyone by taking rancid meat and putting fresh blood on it so it looks like its not rotting cesspool of bacteria and food poisoning waiting to happen. Dont take my word for it look at these pictures. Making me nauseous just looking at them again. If this is how the meat dept. Is run how can I be assured that the produce or deli isnt just as disgusting. Someone ought to call the damn health dept.

This store is always stocked with what I need. Their checkout times are still reasonable, and very fast at times. It is still one of the cleanest grocery stores around.

Theyre rearranging the store. Like me, I dont like change. I could grocery shop in 12 minutes. Today, it took 12 minutes to find 1 item. Unhappy is the feeling

Tired of settling for inferior produce. The selection of brands is gradually shrinking. The cereal just blows my mind. In a full sized grocery store I expect the large sized boxes of cereal to be available! As far as meat I hate the hamburg that isnt ground in the store. More than once Ive had the moisture barrier under the meat exploded all in my hamburg. Gross and inedible! Im told to expect more meat processed off sight as the store phases out there butchers. We seriously need a better grocery store!!! Where is whole foods???

So friendly as we walked in the flowers are beautiful. The two women working, talking about when whos leaving. Not very good in front of guest. Stayed behind should of came out and seen if anyone needed help. The self check out person, very friendly . Asked if we needed help. Cleaning and making sure everything was safe for her guest. Now thats,guest service.

The worst customer service of any stop and shop, I recycle me can and none of the machines ever work and thats on numerous occasions I have been there and then wen u call for help they take up to 45 min to come out and help it they just dont show up at all

So my gf and I bought a hamburger cake from the bakery yesterday for a little gathering we were going to. It looked awesome. Everyone loved how it looked. But when we cut into it.......I noticed there was no cheese, tomato’s, or pickles on it. I mean I let that go because not everyone likes those items on their burgers anyways. But then I took a bite of the hamburger cake and I have to tell you......I tasted all CAKE, it was lacking on the hamburger part. I was very disappointed in this. Cake looked great but fell way short of my very high expectations.

I get its Corona times, but i just had a full shopping cart, several hundred dollars worth of food, and went to check out and not a single employee was at an open lane, but there were 4 employees standing around chatting with each other and on their phones. Spent 15 minutes at self check out. Self check out is nice, for small trips, not an entire cart and some.

Best grocery store in Groton. Always has fresh produce, great prices, good customer service, and self checkout as well as price wand that you carry with you to keep track of your spending. Gas rewards get you discount on local gas stations as well.

This one is always very good, has the best produce department and meat counter. The only way it could be better is if the handheld scanners were always available, but truly, I have no complaints.

Been shopping at the stop & shop in Norwich for many many years my wife has taken to this Walmart here in Groton and she enjoys it

In regards to Stop & Shop, the establishment does its job passably. Its in store products are edible, but they, along with their other services can be a bit pricey. If youre willing to spend a few dollars, then youre going to find yourself stopping and shopping at Stop & Shop.

I wont go shopping in any other store that ought to tell you something especially coming from me

Nice produce/deli section. Prime cuts of fish and beef often on sale at very good prices. Parking lot is kinda chaotic, and lacks easy access in or out, or to nearby I95, but thats a minor inconvenience considering the other stores in the area.

I do love stop and shop. Out of all the grocery stores in our area I think they have the best combination of quality and competitive prices. If youre looking for name brand items that can easily be compared from store to store then another store may beat the price if theres a sale going on but for meats, fish and produce you cant beat the quality for the price. The stores are always clean and well staffed and conveniently located.

Awesome grocery store has everything you need at affordable prices. I like that they have a Starbucks in there the coffee was delicious and fresh and hot. This whole grocery store and including Starbucks has very nice employees that are always willing to help out with whatever customers need help with and this stop and shop has self checkout and peoples bank as well inside.

Everyone is super friendly, helpful, and they always have awesome produce . Normally, I bag my groceries myself, I always feel bad making one of the employees do it, but the gentleman who bagged up my groceries did an awesome job and was very personable.

The parking lot here is appalling. I drove all the way to a grocers retail in Pawcatuck to shop instead.

Nice Stop and Shop but some Employees dont seem very Friendly in the Deli Department. The Employees in the Produce Department are always Friendly and willing to help customers out.

Due to the situation i was unable to use your customer service center, your deli, you bakery etc. I really appreciated the flowers for free. Especially, given the holiday thats up coming. Still, i felt bad for the workers of which need to feed their families and pay their bills. Youre forcing families to unfold. They deserve to be taken care of for their time spent giving me great service. Without them, you loose people like me. Dedication is the word you as owners want. So show dedication. Give and get in return. Its pretty simple. Instead youd rather loose customers to Big Y, and other supermarkets.

Well... Its Friday so there were a lot of people there. Ive got to say though their store was looking very nice for the holidays. I never really have anything bad to say about them. Its a great store.

Clean, well stocked, and great staff. Weather its the pharmacy, butcher, produce department, or check-out, the employees are among the most helpful and friendly around.

Decent selection of brands and products. They have the best produce in the area. Prices are on par with their competitors although the customer loyalty program seems to make that better with automatic coupons.

Their bakery department is amazing! I wish I could remember the women’s name that was helping me but I requested a “casino” cake for my husband’s birthday. She suggested I bring some things to put on it such as a picture or dice and they can make it work (since there wasn’t a set design) I wasn’t sure what to expect but what I received was amazing and very detailed. They put all the props on the cake with dice, cards and poker chips. It looked absolutely perfect. Everyone at the party kept complimenting not only the look of the cake but the taste. It was fresh, moist and very tasty. I will definitely recommend the Stop and Shop bakery!

No body at the meat department

Great selection. Just like every other Stop and Shop. The bakerys birthday cakes are always a hit. Their selection of flowers are great. Love that we can always find two Redbox movie rentals at every store so the odds are always high well find a movie were always looking for. Happy about their selection of gluten-free and organic foods.

Worst experience imaginable today at Stop and Shop. I am a faithful customer to this store and come here every week and spend over $200. Today I was treated like a criminal and a thief due to their own equipment not functioning correctly. like every time I go there, I use the scanner to scan and bag my groceries as I go. When I went to check out the scan gun alerted me that I would need cashier assistance to complete my purchase. When the cashier came over she asked for my scanner and started to rescan my items, i asked if there was a problem and she explained my purchase was going to be audited. Perfectly fine with that. I understand that this is part of their process. The problems started when the cashier was having difficulty when trying to scan my items, she called for a manager who told us that my scanner wasn’t compatible for the audit, so the cashier left with my stop and shop card and scanner to find a compatible scanner and transfer all my purchase info to that scanner, this took a little over 20 min. Then when the cashier returned she was able to scan items to audit, scanned about 5 items with no problem, all received the green check mark stating I had scanned them, when she scanned my chicken the machine froze, and instead of blaming the equipment she immediately began to question me as to whether or not I scanned my chicken, to which I explained I am certain I did, the machine was still frozen and she repeatedly asked me if I scanned it, once the machine I froze instead of rescanning the chicken she then added the chicken to my order and said she would check on it. Her attitude towards me completely changed at the moment, she was short and continuously was questioning me about my items. When she went to check the machine froze again. At this point the manager was there helping the cashier and were both rude and implying that I was stealing items and began unpacking all my bags. Making comments to each other under their breath and saying things like “she didn’t scan the chicken” and “I’m sure that’s the only thing she forgot” in a sarcastic tone again implying I was trying to steal items and loud enough for other customers to notice. It has been close to 45 min and the manager states that I now have to take all my items over to a register so they can rescan every single one, which completely defeats the purpose of me scanning/bagging as I go. Because of how they were treating me, like a thief, and this now being a 45 min process, I told them I didn’t have anymore time for this and needed to leave. The manager began unpacking all my items out of my reusable bags and asked me on 6 separate occasions if the bags were mine. I told her every time that yes they are mine and that I came in with them, the manager continued to imply that I was trying to now steal these bags and didn’t stop until I told her she could check the cameras to see that I walked in with them. For her to think that I was stealing groceries and also reusable bags is highly offensive and embarrassing. I am a nurse and my husband is a disabled veteran, we work very hard for our money. I have never stolen anything in my life, never mind a $1 reusable grocery bag. I walked out without my $200+ in grocery items, and will never return to a stop and shop again. I understand the process of auditing and have no problem with it, but when their equipment was not working properly, I was blamed and treated like a thief. Things like this make me happy companies like Amazon exist. I’d rather give my business to them or any other grocery store!

Just another grocery store WITH ROBOTS

This is one of my favorite grocery stores! Super fresh produce, decent deli, great variety of foods throughout the store and a decent bakery. I do have to say that the Bakery used to be a bit better a few years ago it seems to be back sliding but hopefully they will correct the problem otherwise great!

Cannot believe the service i just received from the guy in the seafood department. I asked to increase to order got sworn at and ushered out. Okay. Cool. Bye stop n shop. Ill go to big y.

Great place to shop or work! Selection is fantastic. Especially Organic isle.

Went to customer courtesy desk in front of store to ask the young lady to hold a purchase I had made at another store so they did not think I had stolen it. The girl behind the counter was incredibly rude and tact less so I decided to take my items and leave without making any purchases. Not sure what her name was but she has 0 customer service skills.

The deals are pretty good and rarely have I not seen something in stock. The store is clean and was very well staged for it being a Sunday evening during football season, which I found very comforting.

This is the only place I like to do my shopping. I love the discount fruit and bread which I stock up my deep freeze with. The meat, especially in the Groton location, is the best and the produce is always fresh. Its the workers who make the stores. They always kind and courteous. The only dislike I have is the new robot. Its completely creepy and gets in the way of shopping.

I always do my major shopping here employees are helpful especially the main guy in the produce. He always says hi and always has a smile I love the scan as you go option no other stores have this,only shop and shop it lets you see your total as you shop. The Groton store is my go to. They are cheaper than big y and the service is good
