Shop representatives were very kind and courteous. I was seen within moments of arriving for my appointment. Charges were explained to me prior to work being done on my vehicle. The oil change was done quickly. Recommendations were made regarding future service within the next 5,000 miles and I was given a price quote. Great experience, and I will certainly return there again and recommend their services.

I came in at the recommendation of some family, and this place was hands down one of the best customer service experiences I’ve had, ever. Friendly and informative, they explained in detail what needed to be done on my vehicle (which was quite extensive). They took me around the car and explained the parts necessary, what caused damage, how it normally wears and what was happening with me car specifically. They helped me to both understand and afford what needed to be done on my car with kindness and respect, and genuinely seemed to care about my well-being and not just making money. Even just sitting and waiting for the work to be done was a pleasant experience with friendly, down to earth, people who seem to want to make connections and not just money.

The guys here are extremely helpful, changed my tire in less than 20min and on my way I went. The waiting area is very well kept. Cleanest bathroom I’ve seen coming from a tire shop. Couple weeks ago, I swapped wheels with another Toyota owner. We needed to have the new tires tire pressure monitor system reprogrammed. The Toyota dealership said it would cost $250 to program each car and would take 30-60 minutes. Jody Weinard, the service manager, had one of his tech help us. The tech took less about 2 minutes per car to program the new tires and did it for free for us. If you need tire related or other service that this Monro provides, definitely ask for Jody. Dont take it to A1 Toyota dealership in New Haven.

I had a great experience today with Monroe in Guilford. Dropped off my car to have breaks inspected in the late afternoon. I got a call back shortly after explaining what needed to be done and they were able to complete the job by that evening. Everyone there was friendly, knowledgeable and professional. I will definitely be going back for other services I need.

Great auto center. Had to get my muffler replaced. They ordered the part and got it delivered from another store and had it installed with two hours. Friendly, helpful and fantastic service.

Sunday morning, was driving pass branford carrying hubcaps, looking for help. I decided to try ask for help at this store, what a pleasant surprise! they put all the hubcaps for free, they said its just hubcaps help, THANK YOU so much manager and mechanic, sorry I forgot to ask your name, since i was left speechless. This is one of few places that treat people and customers right. I highly recommend this place.

While I was waiting satisfied, happy, repeat customers were coming in and out. It says everything to see people who have used the service repeatedly. Monroe of Guilford gets 5 stars. I’m really impressed by how professional in all aspects they are here: the customer service, the quality of the work, the timeliness etc. Everything was perfect. Last week, on my way back home (Rhode Island), I had a flat in Connecticut. Someone pointed me to Monroe, and I am glad they did. First of all, I love that the place didnt have a super-loud TV on when I walked in. It was quiet (just a radio) and there were magazines to read. I was greeted by Eric, who was nice enough to acknowledge me right away and tell me that he would be with me as soon as he finished with his current customer. At first, I did not think my car would even be looked at for an hour; however, Eric told his team that I was trying to get back to RI, and they took my car in right away! Thank you, Eric, very kind of you! All I was looking for was a patch, and Eric said that they would do that, but he also let me know that our tires were barely within the legal limit for tread. I called home and confirmed this--our tires were on their way out, so I had all four replaced! Much to my surprise, the price was a lot better than if I had waited to replace them in Rhode Island. So I went in thinking that I would be there for hours, but total time was only about an hour. My experience here was really pleasant. To say I was treated well is an understatement. I felt like Eric and the Staff there went above and beyond. Many thanks to all of you!

Just bought a new used car and needed new tires for my 2015 Q40. Mike and his staff had exactly what I needed. We all know how it works it happens in three.. I have been having issues with my Hyundai from day one. Always pulling. New tires alignment after alignment. They did a full suspension and tire balance. The car runs great!! Now you are all thinking what a total up sale!! Not even close, I could find a complete suspension built without having to put down a small mortgage. Every place on line wants your build out the springs towers everything. Mike want above and beyond and get everything done for half the cost of anyone else. I have been back now for oil change on both cars and have sent my family as well. Best place in town

They squeezed me in for an oil change and they helped me actually understand what was going on with my car and not just slap a bill in my face. As someone who moved to guilford from out of town in the last couple months I felt welcome and confident to be able to take my car back for more work in the future when needed. The details of the work I needed to have done on my car were explicitly explained to me in terms I understand along with reasons for the necessity, indeed the urgency, of getting the work done soon so as to avoid further difficulties with my car. I found it very easy to carry on a friendly as well as informative conversation with both of the gentlemen who assisted me at the desk. I was easily able to make an appointment in the near future for the needed work and the overall cost was clearly stated in writing ahead of time. When I showed up for the appointment, work was begun on time and was finished in a little less than the predicted length of time that had been estimated might be necessary to complete the work. The final charge was precisely as predicted and I have been have happy with the results since the appointment. I will definitely return to this automobile care center again in the future.

What a pleasant experience. I was in a crunch to get tires on my wifes BMW before she had an early morning drive to the airport after an ice storm. Eric, the manager, took my call and was so helpful and had everything ready for me later that afternoon. My wife thinks Im a hero, but Eric and his crew did the great job. I Had my exhaust fixed here. Took two days because of supplier issue that was expressed clearly to me. Mike the manager was awesome. Very courteous and professional. I was having a terrible terrible terrible night. I missed my train because my tire blew out while on the highway. Looking for the closes garage I had my car towed here and Eric was ready to get the job done and get me out of here as quickly as possible. I was driving from New York to Cape Cod with my family and my check engine light came on and started to flash being far from home and not knowing where to go and st 6 o’clock at night my wife googled the closest place that we could get a hotel and near a place to fix are car the next day and we saw that Monro was still open so we called and the manager Mike asked if we could get the car off the highway safely and if we needed help we were just a exit away and when we got there mike came right out and took it right in the shop found that we needed new spark plugs mike had them and fixed our car and had us back on our way in no time we didn’t have to get a hotel room which saved us time and money even though they were closing mike was fixing our car himself while his crew was working on other cars after 7 o’clock what a great experience I wish I lived closer so I could keep coming back thanks so much for saving us

I had a hole in my muffler but no idea how bad it was because I don’t have a lift at home. So I brought it in to Monroe on a friends recommendation and couldn’t be happier with the service. In stead of trying to sell me a brand new muffler and taking more time and money they told me they could patch it up for me at next to no expense! They also will walk you under your car and point out what is wrong and why you need to fix something. A great experience hands down

The Manager Eric personally repaired my rear brakes and rotors on my 19yro Outback. Top quality service. Prompt. my rear brakes were grinding and I was afraid to drive on them.It was an emergency situation. Eric was able to squeeze me in Same day! The price was about average what you would expect to pay for ceramic pad,rotors, flush, and labor- almost $335 per side. I am very pleased with my experience. I will be back for more services, as I mentioned, my car is a dinosaur. I want to keep it running for another 100K miles.

I came in today for an oil change and a brake check - was having some shaking happening in the front end of my Subaru. Mike was fantastic - made the whole experience quick and easy to understand! The car was diagnosed quickly - needed rotors and pads - and everything was done in a timely manner and at a reasonable price. I was out in two hours! I got an oil change today at the Monro Muffler in Guilford, CT, and it was awesome. So fast and easy--- I was done in 30 minutes, and I booked the appointment about 10 minutes before walking in. The manager, Mike, was very helpful and friendly. I asked them to check my battery while I was there because I know its getting old, and they added a free battery check to my oil change and got me all taken care of. Very happy with their service and Ill definitely be back!

I cant say enough about how this shop is different and a cut above all other car shops!! . This is the only place we take our cars for oil changes, repairs, etc. The manager is so nice!! And everyone who works there is pleasant. They will NOT give you a runaround trying to find things wrong with your car that are not wrong with your car just to charge you more money. And the staff goes out of their way to provide excellent service - once we got there just as they closed at 7PM with a tire slowly leaking air, and they stayed there past closing to fix it for us right there. You cant go wrong with this place - if its fixable, they will fix it at a fair price.

Went to get my car serviced for an oil change. I was also interested in purchasing new tires and the assistance I received was fantastic. My wife and daughter was checking out a college in RI and on there way back to New Jersey there truck broke down on a Saturday night they called AAA and they said that they could have it towed to Monro in guilford the manager Mike was so accommodating he made my wife and daughter feel safe and at ease after checking out the truck Mike told me that it was the transmission I came to pick them up and talked to mike about our operation he said that he would be able to give me some options on Monday morning and by 10 o’clock on Monday mike called me and gave us some options and even told us that we could run the options by are normal place that we do are service at for a second opinion and we could have it towed and there would be no charge for looking at it so we decided to go with Monro and mike had it done in 3 days I told him that I couldn’t get there till the weekend and mike said it was fine and take your time there’s no rush to get it it was one of the easiest automotive experience I ever had thank you for everything Mike is the best

Had my Audi serviced at this location and was much surprised with the quality of service and professionalism. Service was so great I took my second Audi for routine servicing as well. Mike was most definitely helpful and was able to provide great quality service without costing the typical arm and a leg that most auto places charge. Will definitely be a repeat customer.

Ever since Mike took over management, I’ve become a loyal customer. I’ve been a few years ago with a vow to never return, however I had no choice while driving my daughter in laws car some time ago. Since my first review I have had a repair done - not a good experience - they don’t stand behind their work - so oil change ok anything else watch it.Stopped in on a Saturday morning for an oil change - the person at the counter was helpful - I was told they could take my car within 5 minutes - they were true to their word - within 25 minutes it was all done - fantastic! What else can you ask for? The waiting room was comfortable - they have a clean bathroom - overall a crisp, efficient, professional operation - and at a great price - thank you Munro! I’ll be back for sure.

Not a trustworthy place for leaking tires.

After a weekend of camping, we encountered the worst problem someone could face 2hrs into a five hour car ride... When we stopped at the rest stop the brake on my car was smoking. After realizing it was a Sunday and almost every shop was closed I was near a mental breakdown. I found Monro was open until five and raced over there to hopefully find out what was wrong. The service manager Jody was a gem and talked me down from my mental cliff while Patrick and Marcus worked on finding out what was wrong. The sheer professionalism of the staff was outstanding. Luckily we were able to drive out of there with the peace of mind that everything with my car was fine!!! If we lived closer I would use them for everything!!!

When first we moved here a couple of years ago the manager was very helpful and worked hard to make sure that you didnt overpay for your repairs. New manager in the past year or so seems to consistently find ways to overcharge you. The quality of the work is OK, but there are local shops right up the street that often do a much better job for less.

Consummate and courteous pros. Their team was on point. Their work was thorough and diligent. My first experience wont be my last.

The staff at the Guilford Monroe Muffler/Brakes are very friendly, fair, and understanding. I had my truck towed there, and it turned out to have 5 cylinders blown in the engine. I spent close to a month searching for a used engine before deciding it was not worth fixing. Then I had trouble arranging a tow out of the place. They were extremely understanding and did not charge me a penny for storage or the time they spent diagnosing the problem. I have been a faithful customer ever since.

After stopping in to get an estimate on an exhaust repair I was welcomed by Pat (service manager) with an very calm yet genuine professional manner. The staff and Pat took a look at the repair and offered me 2 suggestions. The suggestions were personalized towards the age and mileage of my vehicle as opposed to a GO BY THE BOOK standardized estimate. The repair was done quickly and precisely and UNDER my guesstimate of cost. I was not only 100% satisfied with the cost and thoroughness of the repair, but the personalized attention by PAT .. His overall demeanor of calmness and genuiness (in fact I asked him if he meditated lol) is such a welcome in todays robotic personal attention. I love these guys! Seriously, theyve been seen my 2002 Cadillac Deville more than a couple of times this year, and are always completely straight shooters about what I need now and what I can wait on repair-wise. The manager Ian is awesome and spends the time to completely explain why your car is doing what its doing and what theyre going to do to take care of it. Today, even when they found out I didnt want new tires (looking at used just to get me through a few more weeks), they took the time to write out my tire specs and suggested some used tire places close by.

Fantastic experience with Eric. I stopped by without an appointment on a Sunday afternoon to diagnose a strange problem with my transfer case. Texas registered car, enroute to Maine - I didnt have a lot of options. I was told that they couldnt help with transmission problems, but when I told them I just needed to get my car onto a lift so that we could see something underneath, they told me I could wait - though there were a lot of scheduled appointments. 15 minutes later, they had my car on the lift, confirmed the issue, and sent me on my way. When I tried to pay for the time and effort, Eric refused to take my money. This experience was everything I could hope a small town garage would be - just going the extra mile to help a stranger who needed it. Thanks, guys!

I brought my Toyota Camry to Monro Auto Service n Guilford, CT to check out a noise in the front of my exhaust system. The manager Eric and his team Mike and Jose discussed with me various options, ranging from sealing a leaky joint to replacing half the exhaust system, with no pressure. In the end they sealed the joint with muffler cement and also provided an oil change. The noise is gone and I have time to contemplate a more permanent repair later on. The guys at Guilford Monro assessed the vehicle that afternoon without a previously scheduled appointment. The head gasket was not blown and consequently I was not charged for the assessment.
