At the end of July, I took my car to the service department for my yearly inspection and emissions test. I got it for free considering I bought the car at this location in October. After being called to let me know it had failed, they told me that my car needed all four tires and 2 new breaks which would end up costing me over $1200. After being given multiple sets of paperwork, I noticed that the 2 breaks that needed replaced were not consistent set to set. I then spoke to someone in the service department and they told me that when I bought the car, they told sales it needed tires but they declined. This information was never relayed back to me. I decided to take my car to a local garage to get a second opinion and see if the cost could be cut down at all. Once arriving there, I was told that my tires had more than enough tread to pass inspection and my breaks had at least another years life on them. Fast forward to this past week, my grandma took her car to this location and was told that she had a nail in her rear tire that could not be done patched and she would need 2 new rear tires. After taking her car to another garage, she was informed the nail was able to be pulled out and patched. In summary, please be careful when you are being told by service your car needs something done! Always get a second opinion!!!

I had emailed them looking for a new vehicle as soon as possible. Nick immediately responded back to me, and we set up an appointment to test drive and fill paperwork out. I was nervous at first since I’ve never bought a new car on my own, but Nick and his team were amazing at making it such a comfortable experience. They did everything possible to get me into the vehicle I wanted, so I could drive off the lot that day. Highly recommend them if you’re looking for a new car.

Hyundai offers quality vehicles with excellent discounts and warranties. I recently had an inspection there, and someone accidentally scratched up my leather steering wheel. Now they are offering to replace the entire steering wheel for me. Thats excellent customer service!

This was the first service on our 2020 Santa Fe. It was easy to schedule the service online. The receptionist was polite when I arrived for my appointment. The waiting room was clean, inviting, and following Covid-19 protocols . When finished, the service manager told we what they did to the car, explained there was no cost (part of 2 year complimentary service), and told me to call anytime if I had questions.This was an example of excellent customer service.

I bought the vehicle online, hoping to avoid spending an entire afternoon sitting in a car dealers lobby. Giambalvo failed me in this effort.The sales lady was excellent, and gave a fine introductory overview of the vehicles features. However, the credit people let us down badly, and almost queered the deal by not having my loan application filed and ready, AS THEY HAD BEEN DIRECTED.Finding out that my loan was not on file, and needed much more than just a final signature, was a complete failure and I only hope that the finance department gets corrected. This is not the way to conduct business!

Bought a 2018 Elantra even though I wanted a used Elantra GT. Finance said that the bank said i had to get a new car. Then i got a we owe for heated seats. Windshield, rear window and rear passenger window ices up on inside all winter. They said that they couldnt duplicate the problem. Passenger speakers keep going in and out, they cant duplicate the problem...Heated seats installed after 6 months. Ghetto fabulous job. Molding in car keeps falling down. Cant get anyone on the phone to resolve this. They devalued my car with the chop shop install they had done...

I had a wonderful experience there with extremely nice service parts associates. They got what I needed done and then went further to assist me with knowing when the parts should arrive and scheduling my next visit before I left so I didnt have to wait to schedule. It was a warrantied part so no big deal. One of the few times I actually enjoyed going to a dealership. Im sure it may not be like the every time, but this was definitely a good experience!

The entire process from buying my Tuscon to my first oil change was nothing short of exceptional. Lucy Shaffer, my saleswoman was friendly and well versed on the Tucson. The car was purchased that day in short amount of time. We happily drove home that afternoon in our new Tucson. Four months later when I reached 1k miles we scheduled an appointment with the service department on 10/17. We arrived a little early. We were greeted by Rick Mitchell who checked us in. Rick said it would take about 1 hour and sure enough we were in and out in that time period. Giambalvo is a great place to buy a vehicle and I wouldnt hesitate buying from them again.

No clue how people can be giving this place anything more then a 3 star review. The sales manager told me he couldnt order me the vehicle we were looking for and wouldnt work with me on a price for an alternate vehicle. I walk into a different hyundai dealer, which also happens to be Giambalvo-owned, and they order me the exact configuration were looking for with a price savings. Do not recommend doing business with this shady place.

Ive spent many thousands of dollars in the service department over the last few years and my experience was top notch. Just a few personnel changes and it all went downhill. The latest example was misdiagnosing my vehicle, then selling me a used gas tank at twice the cost of a new one, breaking my shifter while it was there and keeping my car for nearly a month with no loaner. PS- The problems were never fixed.

This has not only been a bad car buying experience, but a bad experience period. To call dealing with the dealership a circus, is an insult to circuses. My dad and I purchased a used Mustang from Giambalvo in Hanover, Pa. The staff we dealt with has been arrogant, dismissive and less than grateful for our business. We signed papers, made a down payment and had to chase down the car. We were rushed out of the dealer as they were closing at 6pm on a Friday. They didnt tell us until near close that we wouldnt have the car because it was out for inspection. We were told we would get it Monday. After several call attempts and a few emails we were told that the car might be available Tues. It was delivered Tues. to my dad. I called to see if he would get the car that day and the service manager said no because it was still in need to be signed off for Md inspection. I called my dad to tell him the car would not be available and my dad told me the dealer had delivered it. So 2 weeks later we have had to send the finance company paperwork because the dealer is not returning their requests. On my kids, my dad and I spent over 2 hours waiting to speak to the finance co. This should have been the dealers responsibility. Again so two weeks later, my dad still has no paperwork on the sale of the car. If you shop there, be prepared. Other than the car itself, this has been an extremely unfulfilling and empty feeling of an 11k transaction.I reached out to Giambalvo through their online email contact page and no response. My dad is a Vietnam vet and chose to buy this Mustang. He drove over an hour each way twice and I drove 70 minutes round trip to be treated less than. The transaction is not complete- BUYER BEWARE dealing with Giambalvo of Hanover. I cannot recommend this place based on our sad experience.

The last two times I have needed service on my 2019 Hyundai SF I have used Jack Giambalvo in Hanover, PA. I got to tell you, this crew knows what they are doing and they excel with their customer service skills. They pick up the phone on the first ring, they make telephone calls to let you know what is happening, they actually offered a courtesy vehicle, they make you feel comfortable and like family. I won’t be going back to Reisterstown, MD where I bought my vehicle, I never felt this pampered in their service Dept . Three cheers for Rick, what a great service guy!! Thank you!! My experience in the service department is the worst I’ve ever had. A free inspection And 5 oil changes are supposed to be covered with the purchase of my car. When I took my car for the first inspection, two months after my last service, I was told the two front tires failed with a 1/23 thread. Two months before the thread on all four tires was 6/23. Of course the only tires they had to offer were the most expensive kind. I declined and took my failed inspection paperwork. I went to three other maintenance shops that perform inspections, and was told there was no reason my tires should have failed. I called the dealership service center this morning, and let them know this information giving them the chance to do the right thing. Their response was if it passes somewhere else go ahead and get the inspection. No accountability, no apology for their employees dishonesty, nothing. The only thing was offered to me was a free install when I decided to get new tires. Additionally, it turns out that my tires had never been rotated, nor were any of my air filters ever changed. Do NOT go here, they aren’t a trustworthy establishment and will take advantage of their customers, just to make a buck. Will never return.

Go see Jill......September 2019This is my second review of Hanover Hyundai. After experiencing a total loss accident in my previous car I contacted Jill with my concerns about being able to replace the car being I was now underwater in the wrecked car. After she inquired how I was doing medically, she was able to get me a good size refund on the warranty that I had purchased. This helped in cutting down on the balance that was going to be owed to the bank. I had no idea that this could be done. After Jill did this she invited me back to the dealership to pick out my next car. She took control of my situation and was able to deal with the banks in order to get me out of the total loss car and into a newer car at a lower interest rate then I was paying. Jill and Art went out of there way to make me happy and to make sure I was in a car I wanted and not one I had to take. The whole process was done over a weekend and today I am enjoying my new car. They also made sure that, insurance wise, that I was fully protected so that I will not be in the same situation again! The service department is super shady. Ive been going there for a year for every repair because I had great experiences but after last time I wont go back. Before I picked up my car they left me a voicemail and said that I needed an oil change and that my inspection was due in June. They said they could just do the inspection now (April) and give me a June sticker. I luckily knew that I wasnt due for an oil change and that my inspection is actually due in July but I dont like that theyd try to take advantage of people who dont track those things. They also took out my Next oil change due at ____ miles sticker, I guess hoping I wouldnt notice and get one?
