Decided to try Pearle Vision after our usual vision store closed (Sears). Doctor Whitlock was very professional and competent. The store staff was also professional, competent and helpful. Lackluster customer service. Employees seemed pretty burned out and totally non caring. Spent a lot of money and felt ripped off. Glasses took much longer than expected with promised calls never returned.

Dr Whitlock is excellent. He is informative and knowledgeable. He takes his time and explains the tests. The staff in the store is very helpful as well. Definitely recommend!

Eye doctor did a very nice job finding out exactly the prescription I needed now. The associate was very helpful with finding the perfect lenses out and when I picked them up they look and feel wonderful.

Dr. Whitlock was great! However, the manager, Michael, is unprofessional and rude. My significant other submitted a request for a call back on the corporate website 2 weeks ago with no reply. If this franchise really is your livelihood, you may need to look into another source of income.

I have been seeing the eye doctor here for over 20 years and he is without a doubt my favorite doctor that I visit. He is a very nice gentleman and he knows his stuff. He will always do his best to help any patient with their issues and I have never had a bad experience there in 20+ years.

DO NOT buy your glasses from Pearle Vision. Dr.Whitlock does a great eye exam, but then take his prescription to another optometrist for the actual glasses. Pearle Vision price for my glasses was $850+, got the same perception glasses at Boscov for $300 and was very pleased with Boscov’s glasses and service

I was extremely happy with the vision exam and doctor. It was the rest kf the experience I am not happy with. Ended up paying a lot out of pocket. I also declined the 1 year warranty. Only to read my paper when I got home and was charged. 5 weeks later and I am still waiting on my glasses. Called last week and the week before only to keep hearing excuses and being told they will call me. They never do. Its me always calling them.

I havent been to the eye doctor in almost 5 years since I lived in Selinsgrove. I finally went last week and was pleasantly surprised by my experience. The exam was fast and the doctor very friendly and patient. Then when it came to choosing glasses I had the assistance from the lovely Miss Sarah B and she was absolutely delightful. She helped me choose frames that fit my face well and also let me know what other color options were available. Overall its a lovely place, with an awesome staff. Definitely recommend.

Update...two days later I’m still waiting for a call.I would not waste anytime here...customer service is terrible. The Doc was cool, but the lady who was responsible for assisting and fitting eye glasses liked everything I tried on. After the fitting I said I would shop around. The lady stated she would keep all of my information including the frames I liked. I called a few days later and the same lady said she had nothing on me. I attempted to remind her about the conversation. She became angry and hung up the phone. I called back and she would not pick up the phone. I had to call another store so I could reach the manager. Five hours later I still have not received a return call from the manager.

Love this location! The Doctor is extremely nice and patient. Truly my fave doctor! He is very knowledgeable. The staff is very knowledgeable, helpful, empathetic, and kind. The location is optimal with a large parking lot. The facility is extremely clean and organized.

The staff Sarah and Mike were very pleasant. I was educated on the importance of eye care and tips to prevent straining my eyes. The staff was patient and helped me pick out the right pair of glasses to fit my face. The doctor was very welcoming and informative. All around good experience. My glasses broke and I needed them replaced immediately as I cannot perform my job as a nurse without them. Sarah (I think that’s her name) called multiple stores til she found my exact frame so she could replace the lenses for me. She saved me a lot of money and time by going the extra mile. I’ve been with Pearl Vision over 20 yrs and they will continue to have my business. A+ for customer satisfaction!

We needed two pair of glasses for my Father. He requested that we use Pearle Vision to fill the prescription since they were a national company with a great reputation. Our experience with Mike, Manager of the location on Jonestown Road in Harrisburg was horrible. He was indifferent to the point of being rude. We were promised both pairs of glasses within 12-14 business days. When we never received a call, we dropped in to the store to find the 1st pair was there, but not the second. No one bothered to call or email any status update. We ordered the glasses on June 2nd, and didnt received the second pair until July 6th. When we inquired about the delay, we were told that the regional manager would call to explain. Were STILL waiting for that call. I wouldnt give this store my repeat business if they were the only store available. Terrible. Unprofessional.

We have been going to this location since 2016. Mike and Anee are awesome people. And the doctor is smart, friendly, personable and quick. He explains everything as he goes and answers any questions you may have. They know our insurance and what we look for in frames. And are able to plug our orders into the computer with little input from us. We enjoy talking with them while waiting. Its always joy to go and get our glasses. Will be going back for years to come. We love you guys!

This Pearle Vision definitely goes above and beyond for customer service, I recently got two pairs of glasses and the one pair needed adjusted and I came on a day they were close for maintenance and the man working there asked me what I needed and he let me in and fixed my glasses for me..... literally so sweet I was not expecting that! I would give it 10 stars if I could!

I absolutely love my new glasses and Aimee is so nice and helpful. She always helps me pick a great frame and even explained that my company has a vision benefit that i could enroll in that would save me money on my next pair. I did my open enrollment and now will be able to get another pair soon.

Today( Sat) I took my very ill brothers broken glasses to this locationas this is where he bought them. The previous owners said they could notbe fixed and the frames were no longer available.But today the new owner Jonathan tried to fix them, but parts notavailable, but he had an exact frame and was able to transfer hislenses to the new frames and he did not charge me full price.I was so happy to be able to return my brothers glasses back to him at thehospital the same day. He was excited and grateful. Jonathan was sohelpful and friendly. What a wonderful experience.

This eye doctor and vision center was excellent. The doctor was professional, friendly, and helpful. The Pearle Vision employee who ordered my contacts even went out of his way to make sure I got the best deal and saved me additional money! This was a nearly perfect experience.

I couldnt have asked for a better experience. The entire staff was friendly, timely, attentive, and seemed to truly enjoy their jobs. The doctor was friendly and talked me through my entire exam. Everyone here is so nice and helpful. Stopped in for an urgent repair issue that had me in a bind and they went out of their way to assist me. Then went back for the works because I appreciated the exception service and the glasses were perfect.

Found myself at this location for a repair that was in pretty rough shape. The staff here was very friendly and helpful and also booked an appointment for one of my kids whose glasses I was trying to get fixed! Plus they did a great job with the repair!!

My usual eye doctor couldnt get me in for a few months, so I tried here and they got me in the same night. The staff was very friendly and helpful. My doctor was so uplifting and amazing, he made my day as soon as I walked into the office. I highly recommend this location.

I was here on monday. The man in the store would not sell me my glasses unless i had upgrades to them that was outside of my plan. 1st he ask me if $167 was ok for my glasses. I told him no. I just wanted what ever my insurance would cover. Then he comes back with almost $60. Again i told him i just wanted with my insurance would cover. Next he told me he couldnt let me go with out Scratch Coating and he didnt want me in non-glass lenses. I have been wearing glasses for most of my life i know what i can have. At that point he said the best he can do is $60 for the pair, which my insurance covers my frams up to $150 (which they was $99) and a 10 co pay for lenses. I ended up walking out of the store withour glasses

I will not be returning here! It started when I said I wanted to get contacts for the first time. The dr didnt seem to happy about that. After my exam was completed the dr told me it would not be a good idea for me to get contacts with my prescription. He strongly suggested against it because I have such a hard prescription to fill. He also found an astigmatism (after 10 yrs of wearing glasses this was a first) Needless to say I listened and didnt get them. After sharing my prescription with another eye dr I was told this was one of the easiest prescriptions to fill for contacts. If it was possible I would return my glasses and get my money back. Oh wait I would need to receive my glasses to be able to return them. It has been almost 3 weeks since my appointment and still dont have my glasses. I was told it would be 7-10 days. On day 10 I called and she was quick to say it takes 12-14 days (that was 4 days ago...still no call) I have never waited so long for glasses. Dont waste your time or money on the is place.

Take your money and service elsewhere! I got prescribed the wrong strength of contacts and glasses. I paid over $400 total. Because I didnt contact them until after 30 days(I thought my eyes would adjust but then I continued to get headaches and eye irritation), I was very rudely told that I would have to pay out of pocket for any more services at the facility. The woman who spoke to me was very rude and made sure to make it known that it was my fault. I am now stuck with eyewear that I cant wear until my insurance covers my eye visit next year.It most definitely wont be here!

The only reason I gave this place 2 stars instead of 1 was that I was offered a full refund and was given a full refund after a terrible experience.You should know that the doctor in this building is not part of Pearle Vision by any means as he runs a private business. With that said I dont have much to say about him either. He was not very professional, made me feel like a child and continuously thought he had to teach me about every part of my eye when getting an exam. Things are blurry for me at a distance and he insisted that I was wrong because of his tests which in itself started the problems.After receiving my prescription for the doctor I went to the Pearl Vision side of the building to purchase my glasses. Not having glasses for many years I dont understand what the prescription is or how it works. I picked out the, insanely priced might I add, frames that I wanted. I purchased the lenses with the frames and the buy 1 get 1 deal cost me around $600 for a pair of glasses and a pair of sunglasses both prescription. This was definitely not buy 1 get 1, they mark up their prices to make you think you are getting a good deal. If purchasing I would suggest to purchase 1 pair at a time and use the percentage off discount that they have. You will save more money this way.It took a couple of weeks to get my sunglasses and glasses in for pick up. I was told that I was called when they came in but I checked my phone history and in fact I was not. I wore the sunglasses when in my vehicle every day and wore my glasses while at work as I was told to do. Remember when I said I couldnt see at a distance? Yup, these prescriptions made that 10xs worse. I was getting migraines at work and was having trouble seeing while driving. After some research I found that I was basically prescribed reading glasses with a +.5 prescription. Why would somebody sell me sunglasses with reading glasses prescription and why would I be told to wear reading glasses 24/7 and why would I pay $600 for reading glasses!?I made a visit one weekend back to Pearle Vision and spoke to one of the sales persons working there. After she was semi rude to me (trying to tell me I was wrong about the problems Ive been having) I was told to wear the glasses more. Since Pearle Vision has a 30 day return policy I gave it one more week to adjust to these reading glasses that I shouldnt be wearing while driving and shouldnt be wearing 24/7 anyway. The very next weekend I went back in and discussed my concerns with the original sales person. I was told to see the doctor again at which point I told them I wanted a full refund. I wasnt going to keep $600 worth of prescription sunglasses and glasses outside of the 30 day return window to have the doctor assign another prescription to then again pay for lens replacement but thats exactly what they wanted me to do.Needless to say, no questions asked I received a full refund which took about two weeks to get processed back to my credit card. I will never go back to Pearle Vision. My recommendation is to go to a well known eye doctor in your area, get your prescription and pupil measurements then order online.
