We are so grateful for the friendly and professional service we received. In early May, we were driving our 2001 Saab from Connecticut to North Carolina, ok, probably not a great idea. The AC compressor seized up on Rt 81 on a Thursday afternoon. The serpentine belt blew and the car overheated, splitting the radiator open. Being so far from home we initially considered doing nothing and donating the car. Tim politely listened to our deliberations and didnt push us to any decision. Alternatively, I asked Tim to install a short belt which bypasses the AC and at least makes the car run, while I considered racing back home filling up the leaky radiator with jugs of water. Tim recommended against that fortunately, but he got that done on a Friday along with locating a radiator for a 20 year old Saab!. Since there wasnt an available rental car for 50 miles we begged a friend to rescue us on Saturday. After a little more dithering the following week, we had them replace the radiator so the car could be driven home. Charges for both services were fair and reasonable, (yanking the radiator is a nightmare).Figuring out how to recover the car took another month and a half. Bottom line was that we worked with three different managers who each treated us with understanding and professionalism, and left our car in the lot for 45 days with no storage charge. This really hit home when I offered Andrew $40 for his extra efforts and he politely refused! The whole experience was pretty traumatic for us, but Precision Care made it much less so.

We had car trouble 7 hours from home. There is no feeling like it, to be stranded so far away! The guys at Precision Tune in Harrisonburg were fantastic! They took us in immediately, diagnosed, and repaired the issue in less than a couple of hours. The store manager and mechanic were so professional. They showed us the problem part and wished us good luck on the rest of our trip. If we had a Precision Tune Auto Care near us they would be my new auto care shop! Thank you so much for helping us to get home safely!
I am from out of town visiting a friend, when my car started acting up. However, Precision’s Auto has to be the best place I could of asked to fix my car especially for not being familiar with the area. They are under new management and I have absolutely no complaints. Everyone was so nice, and took time to explain to me what was wrong and they even offer coupons on their Facebook page. Thank you so much guys!!
Super disappointed. I dropped my truck off for an oil change the night before, was to pick up at 1pm. I had called the day before as well. Very unprofessional. I drive an hour each way for work, evening shift. I needed it done. I could have taken it anywhere else during the time it sat. Do not go here.

I have been a customer of Precision for years and spent a lot of money servicing several cars. I took my car in today for an oil change. I printed a coupon last night for the oil change, which included a tire rotation and the cost was $39.90. I also had a card for a free basic oil change since this was my 5th oil change. I spoke with John Wiegand yesterday to make the appointment and he told me the card would be a discount of $25 off of any service. When I called in today to pay, the total was $67. Nothing other than the oil change and tire rotation was done. When I asked John why the total was so much, he proceeded to tell me the oil change was $47 and the tire rotation was $20. I reminded him of the coupon for $39.90 and he again said the tire rotation would be $20. I asked him if the coupon indicated a free tire rotation and he said yes but the coupon had expired. I asked how that could be as it was just printed from their website last night. He told me that if I looked today, I would see the coupon had been changed to not include the tire rotation. He then acted like he was doing me a favor and said he would give that to me.I then reminded him of thediscount card for the 5th oil change. John had the nerve to say only 2 of the spots had been punched with their hole punch and the other 2 had check marks. My last oil change was the first week of June and Andrew checked and initialed the 4th spot. At that time, Andrew said they would no longer be giving out the discount cards but they would honor this last one. John said he was not supposed to honor without actual punches. I told him it was not my issue that his staff was not trained. After going back and forth he said he would give me the discount. He also said they are still offering the cards and it was up to me to tell the staff they are to punch the card and not just check it.John acted like he was giving me discounts I did not deserve when actually he did not give me anything I did not have coupons for. He basically insinuated that I could have checked and initialed the card. He was rude and very unprofessional.I asked for the manager of that location and he proceeded to say he was a vice president over several locations. Imagine my surprise to find out this totally rude person was a VP. This speaks volumes as to the type of company Precision is and how they treat their customers.I will go elsewhere in the future until there is different management. The technicians are not the issue, just the office staff. Unfortunately the office is who you must deal with.Take your business elsewhere.
The new management here is outstanding. Went in for normal maintenance. They were very friendly. Explained in detail what they were going to do. Kept me updated on the prices of things that I needed done to my vehicle. I felt safe leaving my car in their hands to be fixed. There were no surprise charges or trying to sell me things I didnt need. This manager is top knotch and knows what she is talking about. I give the place a 10. Keep up the good honest work guys!
Crystal has been extremely helpful with ongoing issues with my car! I have MaxCare through CarMax, and they have been less than helpful during the pandemic and send all of their customers out. Being able to use a great Repair Pal like Precision Tune Auto Care has been a blessing! Not only have they been flexible with my unique scheduling needs, but they were even kind enough to make sure I got back to my work since I don’t live in Harrisonburg (just work here) and don’t have people who can readily pick me up. If you need your car worked on and want great customer service, definitely give them a call!
Tried this place for oil change with deal on Groupon. Crystal at the front desk was super friendly and helpful!!! I was also in and out of there in 20 minutes! I will definitely be back with my other vehicle and also feel like this is place I could comfortably send my teenage daughter to get the oil changed in her car.

I had an inspection and as it gies it seeme dlike they found something new wrong everytime they called me. Anyway 500+$ and 3 days later i finally have my car back abd of corse i have a tail light out already. Im unsure if I want to go back or not but otherwise they where very nice just a little unorganized? I made an appointment and when i got there they didnt seem to have me on file. Not a big deal for me tho, im relatively patient.

Dishonest. AVOID. Failed my vehicle’s state inspection for brake pads and tried to pressure me into also getting rotors to boot. Quoted me prices in the $550s for the service and tried to pressure me saying it was up on the rack right now and he needed to know. I told him to fail it and I did the work myself this weekend only to find out pads were not even close to failing and rotors were fine. When I brought this to their attention manager didn’t even want to hear about it or look at the pads I pulled off car. Basically told me to go fly a kite. I spent $120 in parts not to mention my time replacing parts that didn’t need replacing so I could get my commuter back on the road and he doesn’t even want to see what I’m talking about? That is ridiculously bad customer service and dishonest behavior in my book.I have never filled out an online review in my life and this was such a bad experience I felt I needed to to warn others
Prices are great, they got it done at a reasonable time, and the service was awesome.
Took my car here to get headers put on, which they said they could do! Took it in one day, and showed them the headers. They said they could get it done but that it may take two days. I was okay with that until I got a call on the SECOND day saying that the headers didn’t fit. They were rude and unprofessional. There are better places around that are much more professional and will actually do things to your vehicles in a TIMELY manner.
Super fast service which was great but what stood out the most for us was how down to earth the people were!! So so friendly and they actually treat you like human beings too. The type of service these guys give is like NO other. You will not find the same treatment anywhere else. I will never go anywhere else again. Precision is where Ill be going from now on! Highly recommend them !!! 10 out of 5 stars!!
I chose this shop from a list CarMax offered as partner shops. We needed 2 items looked into and fixed which should have been covered under our warranty and also got an oil change. They were able to diagnose and fix one of the items under the warranty but we were charged a $105 diagnostic fee for the other issue because they couldnt replicate the alarm going off randomly during the day and night while they had the car. Therefore, they couldnt get it covered under the warranty. I know this is a joint issue with our warranty company but that wasnt the only issue. The gentleman at the service desk was rude to us multiple times all throughout the week they had our car. We never got updates unless we called and when they went over their estimated timeline, we still had to call them for updates. We had to cover the $40 sales tax on the entire bill because there were items not covered under the warranty and they charged us an additional $40 for shop supplies. But the part that actually pushed me to write this review was when I showed up to pay the $245 (for essentially an oil change) the guy informed me he had to take $10 out of the register to put gas in it because it was empty and asked if I had $10 cash to replace it. I told him I did not have cash and he looked dumbfounded and said he couldnt add it to the card because it would throw his register off. I reiterated that I had no cash and he dropped it. We did not drop the car off low on gas, and yes, they had it for a week, but nothing they needed to do would have run it to empty. When I got in the car to leave the shop I had nearly half a tank of gas. I am not sure if they actually put $10 in the car unnecessarily or what, but that amount wouldnt have gotten it up to nearly half a tank if it was truly on empty. I will not go back, and recommend you not either. Update: It took carmax 15 minutes to figure out the problem and it was covered under warranty at no cost. So yes, we essentially paid $245 for an OIL CHANGE. Ridiculous service, ridiculous customer service, changed so many settings in the car in addition to needing to put gas in it, we cant help but assume they rode around in it all week and/or weekend they had it.Since they reached out, I did try to engage in an email discussion with customer service but got no response.
I took my car here to get a cheap oil change and ultimately regret my decision. I had seen poor reviews for customer service but wasnt too worried because it was ONLY an oil change. Knowing this I planned on being extra polite but ended up still being faced with immediate annoyance from the front desk staff member. I felt as if I was a huge burden on a slow friday morning. I was told it would take about an hour and I would receive a call when it was ready... three hours later I called and it was ready? After picking up my car I drove home (6 min drive) and when arrived my engine was hissing and steaming. I took my car back and they said I have a coolant leak and that my coolant reservoir was almost empty but that it was unrelated to the oil change which could definitely be true but I find it a little weird. EITHER WAY when I got my oil changed they did a maintenance check to ensure my vehicle was maintained and safe for the road and on the checklist they gave me they said my coolant levels were normal WHICH THEY WERENT because right after I came back from getting my oil change and my car started smoking I checked under the hood and I indeed found my coolant reservoir to be almost empty. How could my coolant levels go from normal to critical in a 6 minute drive ??? I mentioned this to them and the completely disregarded my question and just kept insisting it was completely unrelated. Even if it was I would expect some consideration and assistance. I believe they were too lazy to do the maintenance check and just checked off the list and sent me out the door in a car that was NOT safe for the road. So aside from the poor customer service and coincidental damage to my car, they still put me on the road in a car with no coolant... very dangerous.

My mother did a State Inspection with them and within 15 days she had fixed what was asked. When she went back within the time period they not only charged her $20 again but found a brand new issue. This place is horrible. We ended up having to go around 4 times as they struggled to do the State Inspection correctly and ethically.
This place is fine for state inspections and usually good deals for oil changes as well. I would not recommend taking it here for anything else.
I have a work truck that I needed inspected. I work 7 days a week most weeks and the truck is my livelihood, so waited until Saturday to get it inspected. It happened to be the last day of themonth. The man at the desk was very critical and rude in his response to me waiting. A simple, sorry we cant get you in would have sufficed. Its not your job to critique another mans situation or decision. Very unprofessional and rude
Scheduled a two hour appointment and the work was only done four hours later. Workers were unapologetic and were not clear about the issues with my car. Would not pass inspection for supposedly torn windshield wipers and a parking brake that works fine.
Wouldnt recommend anyone to go here. I went in for the first time the other day for an inspection and I just didnt feel welcome. I called to follow up with a question and the man who spoke to me made me feel like it he didnt care to answer. I wouldnt pay someone who treats me like that to handle something so important to me. The customer service is better elsewhere, I would continue calling around and read more of the reviews below to make your final choice to invest here or not.
I’d give this place 0 stars if I could. Not only are they disrespectful, but they try and take advantage of people by trying to get every possible dollar from them. They failed my inspection because of my drivers side visor “not working properly” and because of “bad studs.” I took my car for a second opinion elsewhere. The other shop told me they’ve never heard of a place failing a car due to visor issues and passed my car with ease. I literally will NEVER go back to this place. Please save yourself from a lot of time and money by NOT GOING HERE!!!!!

I love this place. It is the only place in town that I will take my car for repairs inspections oil changes Etc. The staff is exceptional! They always take time to answer all of my questions and explain things to me so that I understand what they are doing or what I need.
First of all, Terrible customer service. Its like they hire random people off the street who dont have a clue what theyre doing. They do more damage than fixing. And when you confront them about something they did wrong (like not finishing the whole service they were payed for and breaking 2 studs and not letting a customer know... or getting the inside of your car, on the roof and everything.. not even kidding... dirty and the stains cannot be removed from the roof..) they get an attitude and accuse you of bringing your car in like that. Had to come back 2 times and every time something new went wrong and they want to yell at a customer who had a bad experience... How hard is it to do your damn job? Never going here again or recommending them to anyone. I honestly wish I wouldve went somewhere else and paid a little more for this type of service..

I loved it. I went to get two wheels balanced, and thats what they did. Not once did they mention a recommended service or try to tell me that something else was wrong with my car, which a lot of other mechanics tend to do.
I used to go here for oil changes as the folks who worked there are always kind and they frequently have coupons for standard oil changes. The last time I went in I also got a state inspection done. I was told that my car would fail inspection for the parking brake not engaging properly. I was charged $32 just to diagnose the issue (taking one tire off). Then I was told that to fix the issue, the rear axle seal, it would cost $1,500, including 10 hours of labor to fix the issue. I said I would take the failed inspection as I was not prepared to spend that kind of money and a simple google search while still in the lobby told me I was being overcharged. I went to a different shop who quoted me just under $350 to fix the whole thing including the state inspection.As a single woman it is really disappointing to be so blatantly lied to and taken advantage of. A $900 delta in labor alone is beyond suspicious. Needless to say I will not be returning for any repairs or oil changes alike but more importantly want to encourage anyone else who goes here to always seek another opinion before getting any work done.
Before they had great service, but a bit expensive. Now they have a rude front desk guy, the mechanics forgot to tighten my oil cap, luckily I caught it before it became a serious matter. They also stole my car emblem, and when I asked they said I should have better things to worry about.

Stay away from this place, I ask to do a safety inspection and i was told that a week or later. any other shop would do it on Monday, this was on a Saturday that I went to this shop, all bays were empty including the safety inspection bay, and the technician was sitting waiting for cars. owner did not explain why or looked at the appointment book, nothing, he seemed bother by my presence. I asked the manager? their is no car in the inspection bay? he responded with a week or more! flat out! I responded with wao! and turn around and left. Never to return to this racist manager/owner/shop.

No service, I setup an appointment for 1:00 pm. got there on time, gave them the keys and waited in their lobby until 2:00 pm. I inquired about the delay and the guy behind the cash register said we only have one inspector so we have to do it one by one. I asked how long is it going to take and i was told its going to take some time. I said I have to get back to work so he handed me the keys back and said see you later with out any service. I would not recommend this place unless you have all day long to spend in their lobby. Extremely slow. If i would have stayed their longer, I am sure my turn would have came at 3:00 or 3:30 pm. I dnt under stand why they setup the appointments if they are not going to honor it. So if this is what their time management skills are then I am sure their service would be horrible as well. Never going back.

I called for the price of a tune up. They said I needed to bring it in so they could see what needed to be replaced. No problem. They also charge a half hour labor to give you the estimate. If you dont get the work done that day the estimate is free, if not, they charge you $37 for the estimate.Why would I go here for that kind of treatment when I can get a free estimate at so many other places?
New manager Dean is extremely rude and the attention and personal approach and attention that was shown with the old manager is not there anymore I stead its more of sit and wait. I use to be in and out in no time and now I wait for ridiculous amounts of time. And then have the work of other mechanics who work on my car because the prices here are ridiculous on anything but an oil change, are belittled and knocked. I have NEVER been so dissatisfied in my visit to a shop as I was with my visit here the past two times.UPDATE: Having contacted customer service and posted a review here, I have YET to hear anything from the company to follow up on the situation, to see if they can make the experience right, nothing. OBVIOUSLY, they dont care anymore than the people they have running their shops!
Extremely bad customer service. Ran one minute late and had to argue for them to see me, then they failed my inspection which my car only has 50k miles on it for rear brakes, ripped my phone holder off the windshield, Ill never be back!

Turns out the guys who orginally looked at my car were trying to cheat me and said i needed all these parts but all it needed was to be tightened. And at percision they saved me a ton of money!!!!

Terrible service, inaccurate information, misleading and completely incorrect pricing.The man behind the counter has a bad attitude and tried to upsell a higher priced alignment we didn’t need.When scheduled, they wrote us down for the wrong day.When we tried to get the man to explain policies he used to upsell a more expensive alignment, he got angry and suggested we “go back to firestone and have them do it”.Definitely not the kind of service I expected.

BEWARE dont use them!!!! I wouldnt even give them a star!!!! We went there to get multiple parts put in and left specific instructions that if anything was needed to contact us and well make sure we get it there so we wouldnt have to pay anything extra at a later date.... We get a call and told they couldnt put the part on because of a missing piece but didnt leave a note to what the piece was when the lady called... We go to pick it up and to speak to the mechanic (WHO IS THE OWNER) and he is out to lunch. We ask to have him call us! Well its 4:35 pm the same day and still no call! Oh we get the bill which we were quotes 1.5 hour for the exhaust THAT never got put on... And we had to pay 4 hours of LABOR with NOTHING shown for it!!!! Completely ridiculous!!!!! Ill will tell everyone to stay away from them! And plan on posting a review about them everyone! To be an owner and run a business like this you sir dont deserve to stay in business!
Took my car here, had a terrible experience, talked down to and treated badly and over charged, given a list of reasons my car wouldnt pass inspection. Took it else where and was told that not one of those things was wrong and there was NO reason it shouldnt have passed. So I posted a review, and was contacted by the District supervisor to email him and to tell him what happened (Darryl I believe was his name) so I did, and he responds with his number telling me he wants to talk to me and he is goign to check into things. I call him, and from the moment he picks up the line, is NOTHING BUT RUDE, telling me he didnt know what I expected, or why I called, he was looking into it as promiesed, then says he had spoke to he manager at the store and that he said nothing I said was true, basically all but called me a liar, and asked me what I was expecting to get out of my situation, I felt asking for a refund for the inspection, seeing as there was nothing in fact wrong for them to have not passed it, wasnt asking much. He litterally laughed, and said I ll check into it and get back to you, but I doubt it That has been over a year and I still have heard nothing.

Terrible customer service. Waited two weeks to get a phone call back from them about an issue that I never received. Paid for a 4 wheel alignment, only a 2 wheel was done. The staff is not about providing good customer service. Highly recommened that you stay away from this place. They will lie and cheat you out of ur money.
To say that I am disappointed is an understatement. I had my car towed there this morning to have my radiatior fixed. I had seen that it was leaking for the past couple of days and even when it was being put on the tow truck. When we dropped my car off, I told them what was going on (and I had called before too) and they told me I would have to pay $70 for them to do a pressure test to see if it was leaking. LIKE I mentioned earlier, the leak was obvious from where it was coming and that it was leaking. So, I told them I didnt feel that the test was necessary, because I knew it was my radiatior and I just needed them to fix it. The guy went on to say it was necessary so I just let them do it anyways because I had already had my car towed there. Long story short, they end up calling me to state the obvious and said my radiator was bad (which I was already well aware of) and then listed a long list of items I would need to fix the problem totaling $939. Over 2/3 of what they were trying to fix was completely unnecessary to put in a new radiator and when I told them that, they said it was all “necessary” to get the car back on the road. I ended up paying the $70 which was a complete waste and took my car to Car E.R. Where they were able to fix everything for WAYYYYYYYYYYYY less money.

If I could give them negative stars I would. I had to go back there 5 times for just an alignment because they didnt balance the tires the first time when I paid for that. Then broke a lug stud in half and threw the lug in the trunk and didnt say anything about it. And scratched up the wheels by taking the wheel weights off with what looks like a knife. Then they replace the stud and break another one in the process and tell me its my fault for having those wheels when theyve been on the car for 2 years with no problems. And when I went to tell them about that I have the manager and the master tech screaming at me while Im telling them to calm down and just give me the car the way I gave it to them thats all. And she tells me to come back in the morning they will fix it and when I show up she tells me Im not touching the car go call corprate after she told me to come back in the morning. Worst shop Ive ever been to dont waste your time or money going there for anything. I have pictures of the crappy job they did and I wish I could post it on here
Took my van in for a state inspection. They failed it saying it needed a break light and a front tie-rod. And they offered to perform the repairs. I took my van to CC Rosens for the repairs. First off, the break lights are fine. Second, the tie-rod doesnt need repair. The mechanic, Tim, took me out into the garage and showed me the tie-rod. Its allowed up to 1/4 of play, he said. But I could see it was only half, 1/8, of that. So I paid CC Rosens $16 to reinspect my van and saved myself $300.

Went here because I had a Groupon.. the Groupon stated that it came with a tire rotation, but when the manager printed everything out it was not listed on there. So I said something and he stated that it is not listed on the Groupon, I then pulled up the app and showed him it was listed. He said he will make sure they get rotated and then neglected to do so. I know this because I have a little bit of plastidip on my front left tire and it had not been moved.. They also took over 2 hours to do my oil change and I had an appointment. 2 hours for just an oil change is ridiculous. I will never go back here and do not recommend it.
Im a student at JMU and I had problems with my car overheating, so I took it here. These guys looked at my car for about 30 minutes and told me that the head gaskets had blown and the only way to keep my car running would be to replace the engine. I decided to drive my car back to my place because I didnt want to leave it there and they were unsure that it would even make it. They even recommended me to the car dealership out front. Well I made it back to my place and looked over my car some more. The next day I took it somewhere else and it was merely a radiator leak. This other shop replaced the radiator and flushed out the antifreeze. My car is fine and I even drove it from Harrisonburg to Yorktown last night. Its pretty messed up to carelessly tell a college with a bunch of student loans that they need a new car...the folks at Precision Tune Auto Care wont see me again.
So Amy is great at customer service...I had oil change done on my nissan maxima. As I was driving car felt less powerful. I got worried, so I put it inside a garage left it parked for about 40 min on level ground. ( about 4 hours after oil change ) then I checked oil levelI HAD TO ADD 1 and half quarts of oil to top it off.I complained to district manager but he said we reviewed the video and everything was ok... In other words they told me to kick rocks... He said something might be wrong with the car as in theres a leak somewhere. ( when I added oil I drove it for 3 days now and have no loss of oil )I KNOW FOR A FACT THEY GOT CHEAPEST PRICES IN TOWN OF HARRISONBURGBUT MY ENGINE COULD OF OVERHEATED AND COST ME AT LEAST 2,000$District manager had no crap to give,SOOO IF YOU LOOKING TO SAVE MONEY THINK TWICE BEFORE YOU TAKE TO THEM. d

Dont bring your vehicle here. I have brought my car here twice now JUST for alignment, and every time they call me and tell me something else is wrong. First time was something about my radiator, and they had put my vehicle on the lift and taken it apart and were looking for things to fix, and again I was JUST there for an alignment. Absolutely NO reason to even be on the lift and taken apart. Why did they take my car apart? I was quite angry.Second time I brough my vehicle there, they told me my brakes were bad, rear axleback for my exhaust was bad, and every wheel bearing was bad. Bullshit, I even called my personal mechanic that had done an inspection this month, and he confirmed that it was lies. WHY was this on the lift again, not on the alignment machine? Who knows.Point is, go somewhere else and not worry about saving a buck and get it done with quality.These people are shady. Trying to make a dollar and not be honest.
I took 10 vehicles there to get inspected to sell and only 2 out of the 10 passed. the inspector said other lights would not pass when the lights were fine also they were told to replace bulbs and get them to pass, the inspector failed one due to license plate bulb not working.. he did not want to take the time to replace the bulb I quess.. after talking with other business owners I heard a lot of the same complaints and will never go there again.. dont waste your time or money.. dont go there to get anything inspected.
Very professional and quick work
Took my car in on 8/30/17 for inspection and it failed for driver window not going up. i had the window motor fixed i went back today and they failed my inspection for other things. I guess they are mad because i had window motor fixed somewhere else. The manager Dean needs some customer service training.
Dont go here. Ever!! Save yourself a headache. Worst customer service. Quote prices then change then as they see fit
