I have a 1953 Packard that had a blown a head gasket. It was beyond my mechanics abilities and he referred me to One Stop Engine Rebuilding. I cant believe my good fortune. Wilson is amazing. Hes so on it. He sent me pictures showing the blown head gasket, the valves, the new gasket, etc. I told him I wanted to repaint the head so he ran down the right paint and painted it for me. My car runs so much stronger, the engine compartment looks so much better and the price was less than I expected. I would wholeheartedly recommend One Stop to anyone.
Wilson and his team are the absolute best! Ever since I took my Nissan Maxima to have the engine rebuilt in 2018, the car runs excellent! Great/excellent customer support even in the days since I had the work done too! Very thorough work and clean shop and an honest mechanic which needless to say, is hard to find! Very fair prices and the epitome of excellent craftsmanship! 😊 I would and will recommend him to everyone I know without any hesitation!
I purchased and was rebuilding my 1964 1/2 original Ford Mustang convertible I live in Santa Barbara and actually only a few mustangs and has had very bad luck with shops in my area I googled one stop engine rebuilding and I was pleasantly surprised at all the reviews. I called and spoke to Wilson and he was very helpful in explaining everything to me in fact he was so thorough that I decided to send my vehicle all the way down to Los Angeles to his shop and have it completely redone. He kept me informed every step of the way in terms of what he had found with no extra charge and made suggestions to make necessary repairs when he found it. The cost was very minimal and he did a fantastic job. My car is running very well even after one year and this is a testament to how did workmanship. I strongly suggest using the shop and therefore I just sent my 1981 Toyota SR5 pick up do you have that completely re-built.
Called got answering machine. Called back was immediately put on hold. 17 min on hold then was hung up on.
This is my engine guy I had my 1957 Cadillac Eldorado and all my cars done here great work
Wilson is a FANTASTIC business owner and a mechanic! He knows how to treat people well and is an honest, reliable guy! Ive been to a repair shop in Hawthorne but had to switch. This guy was very shady.I was referred Wilson by a family member (my niece) and I went to him 3 years ago. Hes done an excellent job. One time I took it in because my engine was leaking oil. He fixed it the first time around and did it at a very reasonable price. Theres no headaches here - You leave the car (or he works on it while u wait) and its done right the first time around. I know there a lot of repair shops in Hawthorne but I wouldnt take my car to just anyone. Do your research. I would recommend talking to Wilson. I had to let the world know how great of a mechanic he is.
Excellent, clean shop, very knowledgeable and good pricing. Always willing to help...even after initial bussiness was done. Other shops in the neighborhood send their hard jobs, or tough jobs to One Stop when they need help...says it all...
Very pleased with the service Wilson provided at One Stop Engine Building..2 other places I took the vehicle to first wouldnt even touch it...Wilson helped me get my vehicle towed from the place that couldnt fix it....and he got it fixed the same day! I was expecting a huge engine repair bill...but the work came in under even what he quoted, which I thought was a good price to begin with. I would recommend them for any repair work you need done on your engine...youll get an honest fair price....and hopefully even as fast as I got my done.
Very good work Wilson! Thanks so much for fixing our familys car engine. I nearly paid $800 more to another shop in Los Angeles but Im glad I didnt. Our family is very blessed to have found you on Google. I will send you a few referrals from my friends that needs a mechanic.
Took my 1982 Toyota Corolla Wagon in for a full engine rebuild on Dec 28, 2019. Wilson and Christian were very helpful with answering all of my questions. All machining and work is done in house! They were even able to source a 3TC engine block which are now becoming harder to find. It is now Feb 9, 2020 and have had ZERO issues after 500 miles of use. My car has never driven as well as it drives now. Will be returning soon to have more work done on both my 1982 and 1983 Toyota Corolla Wagons. Thank you to everyone at the shop!
Had three cylinders rebuilt more than six months ago (spark plug threads gave out because they are made from aluminium, all Lincoln Mercurys are made that way, check the internet). Great Job! I passed California Smog almost like a new car. Threads are steel inserts. You will not believe it, neither do I, but it is true, got 30 miles per gallon this trip (94 Grand Marquis)! Of course I just had it serviced, but It NEVER got better than 27 mpg even brand new out of the box.
These guys are the best. I live around the corner they came to me and made me feel good about bringing my truck to them to rebuild the engine... I would recomend them every time... Great work...
I drive a Lincoln Navigator and my engine started to overheat. My co-worker in Redondo told me about 1 stop engine rebuild in Hawthorne so I took it there for an estimate. Wilson was fair and he gave me a good deal on fixing it.
I took my car to what seemed to be a simple cooling fan replacement. They took my car and ran diagnostic test on it and found out tons of problems. I payed the mechanics to fix it which they had my car for almost two weeks. When I picked up the vehicle, the mechanic told me Its perfect and it is ready to go. All you need is two axels which we dont have at the moment, but you are always welcome to come back to get it fixed. So I drove my car for just 15 miles and it overheated!! Yeah. It overheated. Even after almost two weeks of the fixes, my car overheated. I took it back, and he said It is just the cooling fan. Which I went for in the first place. I paid extra to have them replace a cooling fan. I was very upset. The next day, it started to shake violently. Then my car broke down on the freeway! I am very upset with their lack of knowledge and what they told me Perfect I did not see perfect! They had it for almost two weeks for fixing. I saw the first receipt and it obviously did not physically show.. I spend about 1700! I am VERY UPSET. I almost had a huge car accident! And I am an effing college student dealing with debt and midterms.. I do not more stress piled up. They deserve 0 stars! Well al least for me.
Wilson is a great guy that really has an understanding of the products. I was recommended to him by a friend of mine that has an auto repair shop in hawthorne also. I highly recommend One Stop!
My engine was making a noise so I took it over to Wilson at One Stop. He told me it was a simple fix. The mechanic before said he needed to replace it but Wilson fixed it for $150. The other guy wanted $1800 for a replaced engine. Needless to say Ive found my new mechanic.
My car needed an engine rebuild. I knew this for some time and finally got the funds to do it. Everywhere I went they wanted $3500 for it but Wilson did the whole job for $2800. Hes been doing engines for over 20 years so it just made sense to take it to someone who knows engines reallywell.
Wilson and the crew are very honest mechanics, they do an excellent job for a reasonable price. I dont take my cars anyplace else.
Very bad experiences but we want cheap that we expect engines for life, that never if they do not want to have problems, easy to be the agency and matter fixed, but while we are wanting to save a weight because we will continue to fight with the guarantees.
