We stayed for a few months and felt well taken care of the entire time. It’s not fancy, making it inexpensive, small and quiet. The spacious sites are filled with shade trees.
Found a dog in the area of this gas station so wanted to put up a sign at the store to find the dogs owner. The manager said if he lets us do it everyone would want too. Cause heaven forbid anyone else puts stuff like that up.Its such a bad thing to do help lost pets find their way home. This guy must be an animal hater!
My wifes trucks battery failed nearby the alpine gas station. She barely got into the parking space and it died. I rushed from home picked her up and got her to work barely in time. I bought a new battery went back to alpine and they had already had my truck towed. It was there less than 2.5 hours.I am a local raised in garwood. I have been going to the alpine store for years my childhood house was very near by the gas station. I have always had a good experience there until today. I was going as fast as I could. I was the only truck parked on that side of the building. Plenty of other parking spaces. A little patience would have been appreciated.
Thoroughly enjoyed our short stay here. Large pull through sites, excellent location, super friendly, helpful staff and the WiFi is the best we have experienced out of all the recent RV parks in the US (which has been approximately 10). It was peaceful and clean; we will definitely stay here in the future.
Highly discouraged anyone from patronizing this business. Rumor is they changed ownership this last summer. Since then things have went downhill. My friends wiper motor failed during a snowstorm and we parked her car there for less then 3hrs only to have it towed by the store. No signs are posted in the parking lot. Upon confronting the store manager he indicated that there is a sign in the front door. Upon examination we discovered a 8x11 size sign in the very top left corner of the glass store front stating unattended vehicles will be towed. No other signage. Not good customer relations. Guess all the employee vehicles need to be towed also as they are unattended for 8+hrs at a time.Just want everyone to be aware. Dont exit your vehicle more then 20min!!
Pretty good place to camp with the exception of no fire pit. Otherwise, nice place with a convenient store and gas station right next door.
This is a fantastic place. Locals seem to come here as well. 2nd time here. The hosts accommodated our 3rd vehicle with very minimal charge. I seriously haven’t found a single excuse but to just love Idaho in general. If you have structural issues with your trailer go see Eagle Manufacturing in Rathrdrum which is 5 minutes east. They saved my life last Summer and did such a great job at repairing my trailer.
Attempted to stay there on a 4000 mile trip across country. Discovered Camp policy does not allow any camping on rv spots,, trailer only We were not impressed and when we left after a few minutes- were assured that our payment was fully returned-NOTNever have had any refund of our credit card billed.. Will not patronize this shifty business again!
This park is a gem! Wonderful large sites with strategically placed trees for privacy. Easy to get to and very accommodating staff. I highly recommend it
Clean and quiet campground with a nice amount of space and privacy between RVs. Grassy areas are perfect for children and pets. Managers very courteous and kind. Highly recommend this campground!
Perfect place to park your trailer to go to Silverwood (7miles away). They have full hookup (except sewer but have an onsite dump). Lots are not massive but not too bad. The bathrooms are really clean and the showers have decent water pressure. You CAN hear the highway but its really not that bad. The people who run it are super helpful and nice, and even gave us directions from Canada. AND theres a little drive through coffee kiosk thing with every coffee-type beverage under the sun where I had the best coffee beverage thing Ive ever had. This place also does not restrict what kind of dog you can have as long as they are leashed (unlike Ravenwood who does not allow anything that looks like a pit, rotti, doberman etc)
Nice place - nothing too fancy but just whats needed. Sites are shaded, well maintained, and quiet overall. Hear road noise from US-95 but thats just being picky... Unfortunately, they changed our spot and all our neighbors complained they had to move spots EVERY day. What a hassle. No 5-stars for you!
Overnight only - Very nice campground! a bit hard to find - need to make sign at entrance more visible. Clean & spacious sites, very accessible to large units with toads - staff very friendly & helpful. We were there very early in the season - May 2nd. - so there were only a few other campers. We would definately choose to stay here again.
To be clear, this is a review of the RV park, not the other businesses on the property. Overall the park is satisfactory. The sites are larger than average, with nice trees for shade without blocking satellite reception. Checkin was quick and efficient. The horrendous traffic noise and hourly train horns are outside their control, but should play a role in pricing. Within their control: 1. During extended dry periods, consider wetting your roads to calm the dust. 2. Fix the sprinklers so they water the lawn. As it is now, the water dribbles out and runs all over my RV site, putting an inch of water on the ground every morning around my RV. 3. Find a way to address the madness in the main plaza. You have a single drive in and out, with combatant traffic vying for space at the pumps, the store, and the unfathomably busy separate coffee shack at the entrance. RV traffic has to negotiate through all that. Consider moving the coffee shack to the northwest corner of the property. 4. Wifi is weak to nonexistent.
We love this little campground. Its well kept, and it isnt far from our home in Hayden. We like to come here with our grandkids, because it quiet and safe, and they enjoy the cows right next door.
Nice park. Sites arent too close together. Easy to navigate. We were pulling a 32 TT. Very helpful and friendly staff. Well treed for a small amount of privacy, shade and woodsy feeling. BBQ and picnic table at each site. They dont allow wood fires but a propane fire pit is fine.We stayed in a pull through and while roomy, not as private as say a forested state park. We didnt feel cramped at all though. There was probably 35-40 feet between us and our neighbor. Some sites were a little less but mostly very roomy.Park has bathrooms/showers, laundry but we didnt use any of those services so I cant comment on them. They also have WiFi. I tested it and got about 5Mbps download and about 11Mbps upload. Good for messaging and such. We had a good T Mobile signal here so we didnt use the WiFi.The only real negatives were noise from the highway and an occasional train. I think I only heard about 3 in a 24 hour period. We ended up here because after 3 days of dry camping at Farragut State Park we wanted a place with power, water and sewer hookups. This place fit the bill nicely.
Gas station has very rude very unprofessional employee. Sad cause its a very nice RV park
The RV park is quite nice, spacious sites, well maintained, pleasant staff. I had asked for a late check-out which they dont offer,in fact, they said they would tow. Not very friendly when it comes to that subject!
Gross outhouse. Crowded noisy from highway
Close to Silverwood only about ten minutes. Most rv sites are far enough from the highway to be quiet, lots of trees. There is a train but i only heard it once early one morning. Not at all overnight. The store is neat, clean and the employees were polite and helpful. It seems to have a wide selection of just about everything, including alcohol and wine. They even had my wifes favorite wine. Coffee hut in front of rv park is both convenient and good.
Closed at 6pm
Stayed here in our motorcoach for 7 days. Sites are spacious, grassy and truly big rig friendly. Grounds are beautifully maintained, although maintenance keep a very low profile - which makes for a very relaxibg setting. We had reservations nearby that fell thru (long story) and the management was wonderful at accomodating us for a week on short notice.
I was pretty happy with this place as we stayed here on our way down from Alberta for summer holidays and then again on our way back up. The campground is very very nice and well kept. Big rig accessible and very spacious treed sites. The pull through sites also give you the option if you are travelling with someone to pull into opposite directions so that you can face each other and have green space in between. Travel time to Silverwood is about 10 minutes max and going the other way to Costco and Couer DAlene about the same. The campground does not have any permanent residents which makes it a great place to stay as if you stay other places, the permanents can be pretty creepy. I am planning on staying here this summer too as it is also nice to have a liquor store right in the gas station at the campground for those who need to quench their thirst before continuing. Very kid and pet friendly too. Didnt have anyone coming around and hassling you about this and that. Only downfall that might be for some people is the proximity to a train that comes through a few times a day and night. Not a care for my family and I, but for some people this may be a big thing.
I like the park I have a 38 foot motorhome is big rig friendly this Park has 50 amp service close to Silverwood its clean nice the little store is convenient.
Staff didn’t know anything about the campground..washers didn’t work .. we left .. don’t recommend staying there unless you are desperate
Cancelation Policy advertised on the web does not match what they said on the phone. Tried to call to cancel but kept getting a busy signal. Sent an email after several calls. Finally got through on the phone to be told that there was no way to refund any of three days worth of camping even though the reservation would have required two seperat sites and I would have had to move sites in the middle of the stay.I go to that area three or four times a year anb will not be staying at this place. Nor will I recommend it to friends. Other, and better options are available with better customer service.
Not bad. Very busy area in summer. Wi-fi terrible. Charge you to use laundry facilities- is the fee for the park not enough?? Yes, the train tracks nearby are noisy at times but out of control of park owners. It didnt bother us. There are some nice shady spots here and its proximity to local attractions makes it a good choice. Wed like to see improved wi-fi and perhaps some cable tv hookups in the future. Thanks for a clean park!
Great facilities. 👍👍
Finally not just a parking lot
