This was the smoothest and quickest vehicle purchase I have ever made. Everyone there was very friendly. I saw the vehicle on line and messaged regarding it at 6 am. Received a response by 7am. When I got to the dealership the car was ready for me to test drive. In less than 1 1/2 hours I was driving my new car home. No hassles and great people to work with. All I can say is thanks for a great experience. I had been working with Vroom, for a vehicle, for 2 weeks and that was the biggest mistake ever.
I am a very active senior and was purposely looking for a new truck to fulfill the needs for ease of hauling and pulling equipment. I gravitated towards the new 2022 Ford Maverick pickup and began calling a local Bozeman Ford dealership only to be left discouraged!! The salesman did not want to support the efforts in preparing a build purchase order for me. So, I decided to take my business up to Helena Motors because Jessica and Jeff G., were interested in my business. I must say, Jeff had the patience of Job with the decision process in building a new truck purchase order with me. The order went in and I left a happy camper on Jan 27th.. Recently, I returned for a test drive in a 2017 Dodge Ram 1500 Express and came home with this beauty. Everyone at Helena Motors makes you feel important add! You are not rushed or bull dozed into an unwanted sale. It’s a very laid back and relaxed sales environment and you will go home with sense of satisfaction! I must say, we are now a family!! A major concern of mine when it came to getting my first newer car was that calling into a dealership would feel predatory. My experience with Helena Motors through Mike Folsom was thankfully not that. I made it clear what I was prioritizing, what my price range was, and what I wasnt interested in, and he made the rest work! This is minor, but I really appreciated him talking at my level when he got a read of who I was as a person. I hate doing business with people who treat me like a stick-in-the-mud CEO when Im not. Mike was the stand-out of my business with HM, but the rest of the team was great too.Full disclosure; Im still in the honeymoon phase of getting a new car. I will update this review with more information as I get some miles and maintenance into it, but right now I have nothing but praise!

I had the pleasure of working with one of their Sales Professionals, Michael Folsom, and found him to be professional, very responsive, transparent, helpful and very easy to work with. There was no hassel...no fuss...no tension. A VERY pleasant experience. I live several hours away and was not able to just walk in and see it. When I got there, the Jeep was EXACTLY as they stated in their ad. Michael went above and beyond with helping me set up some of the electronics and explaining how things worked. Bought a 2012 ford focus here. failed to let me know that there was a recall. even more so, that the coverage ends within a month of my purchase. i know they don’t “technically” have to notify you, but you’d think they would be courteous.transmission starts to go out in april. i bring it in and pay 2500 to get it fixed. i have brought it in two times since that repair and it is still having the same issues. they told me nothing is wrong with the vehicle and i have shown them videos of the car stalling as if it were a manual car with no prevail.staff shows little to no care for their customers. every time i show up, they are either on vacation, closed, or simply won’t answer the phone. i am disgusted by their morals when it comes to business. wont be doing business or repairs here in the future. their motto is about family, but they treated me like a fly on the walldo not trust this dealership.EDIT:brought it in a final time and they FINALLY diagnosed an actuator issue. cost me another 500.EDIT 2:nope! not fixed :)

By the time she considered all our needs she came up with the perfect vehicle for us, different from the one we started out with, and much better to fit our needs, all things considered. Then she transferred us to the floor representative Scott, who was personable and took time to talk us through many features of our new RAV4. The vehicle is panning out beautifully so far.

I havent bought a car for about 4 years. I worked with Randy and Kourtney. Both very easy going, low pressure, had suggestions, were very respectful and stayed within my price point. Kourtney even offered to meet me at home and give me a ride, so I could be the one to drive it off the lot. I was pre-approved for financing already, but ended up using their financing option because it was a better fit for me. Im impressed, which is rare. Im very picky and I know what I like. I had a very good experience. I would highly recommend you keep them in mind for your next vehicle purchase. Top shelf service for sure!
I was in the market for a Toyota Tacoma and, after hearing concerns about dealer service in my town, decided to check with Helena Motors. Although my timing in placing the call had a strong element of luck (i.e. the morning after they received a list of trucks to be built at the factory, and the fact that there was one still available that perfectly met my needs), all of my good fortune after that was entirely due to the business and especially Del Bourassa, the sales representative. Del checked in frequently during the months prior to delivery and shared whatever information he had about where the vehicle was in the process, so I was never left wondering. The truck arrived in Helena about the same time as the topper that I had ordered from another business, and Del took the initiative to transport the truck there and back so the topper could be installed and ready before my arrival in town. He promptly answered or researched all of my questions, and spent about 45 minutes sitting next to me in the cab patiently explaining all of the features and technology (much of it new and unexpected after so many years since my last vehicle purchase). All of the paperwork was handled expediently, and I was charged only MSRP in an auto sales environment in which even many used trucks are going for more. Frankly, I was blown away by the level of service at Helena Motors!
Helena Motors performed coolant system flush 12 AUGUST 202 for $156.23. The next day I was in Butte u0026 noticed green fluid leaking. Butte Ford said too bad they couldn’t look at it til next week. Took to American Car Care who worked me in. Helena Motors damaged the O Ring when they replace it after performing the flush the day before. It cost me $164.50 to fix the O Ring, Radiator Drain Plug u0026 Prestone. I called Helena Motors service manager at 12:26pm u0026 left a message for him to return my call. He never called.
Helena ford was great. Our new bronco is amazing. Highly recommend Michael to anyone looking for new vehicle. Very prompt on returning calls or answering when we called.

Helena Motors it my Go To place for purchasing vehicles. I have purchased 4 vehicles since 2011 at Helena Motors and have never had a bad experience. I purchase Toyotas as they are, in my opinion the most reliable cars, but they only sell quality vehicles!Kirk Loveridge is my favorite salesman. Hes goes above and beyond to ensure you are happy with your purchase and follows up to make sure any questions you have after purchase have been taken care of.Helena Motors service department is great also. They make sure your car is serviced properly the first time, or if youre not happy with something they make it right. Ive never had a time when my stupid questions have not been answered. I highly recommend Helena Motors when buying a vehicle.
I went to get a value on my trade in and the sales man wouldnt do it until he thought he had a vehicle sold to me. I am pre-approved for financing thru my credit union with a letter from my loan officer. When he started asking me about my job and bills I told him you dont need any of that. Im approved thru my bank so Do Not run my credit. Theres no point because Im not financing thru your sources. The salesman left for a few minutes and a credit app on .you phone said theres a new Hard inquiry on my report. The sales man, Jeffery, returns so I asked him about it and he lied to me and said no we didnt run your credit. On the next day my credit score was lowered because.... Helena Motors ran my credit without my approval and lied to me about it. Theres no way they can mend my credit score from their lack of care . I as with every consumer has to work hard to keep good credit. Helena motors has lost a customer for lide. Response to the owner. Actually, my loan parameters are already set. Like I told your guys, I went to my loan officer and said I want a loan for up to x amount. She did my financial application and said ok. For model years 01-2014 @ 60 months your interest rate will be this rate ... for a payment of this amount. Or those model years at 72 months will be this rate for a payment amount. For model years 2015 and newer itll be this rate for 60 months or that rate at 72 months. So my loan and rates and all of that are irrelevant to your sales crew. I tell my loan officer the vehicle Vin number and info and she tells me their loanable amount so I can figure out my down payment. AND, you sir are also missing the most important part. I told your salesman repeatedly, that I was there to get a valuation on my car. Not trying to finance a car from you guys. But thank you for taking the time to reply.
At at time when vehicles can be hard to find, Helena Motors found the perfect 2021 Toyota Tundra TRD Truck for me. I traded in my Toyota Sienna soccer mom van for a certified used truck with 5K miles...and I absolutely love it! Helena Motors was great to work with--John Alastra with sales, Jeff with financing, and the service department team. Helena Motors made calls to help me secure an awesome interest rate, gave me more than I expected for the van I traded in, and crunched numbers to help the payment terms work for my budget. Just got back from a roundtrip drive to Phoenix and felt soooooo comfortable and safe on the road. I love the 38 gallon gas tank. I couldnt be happier!
Recently bought a gt350 from Helena Motors. Corey and the rest of the team were very helpful when going through specifically what options were on the car and what kind of warranty options I could purchase for the car. I bought the car out of state and they sent all of the forms pre completed to me with 2 day mail to get everything done as fast and as easily as possible.I currently work in a hospital and with COVID I had very limited time to fly out and get the car and Corey came in on a Sunday when the dealership was closed so that I could pick up the car.I haven’t worked with the service department as I live all the way across the country but the sales team was legitimately 10/10 for their customer service.

John Alastra sold me the Toyota corolla hybrid car at a great price compared to any other dealership I looked at over the internet. All other dealerships in Montana wanted 2 times the book price for used toyota s and the credit union would not loan over the book value. John picked me up at bus station and had all paperwork ready with a once over explaining all details of features. I was impressed with the service. I headed back over the high country at 60mph and got 56 miles per gallon with my corolla hybrid until I got on interstate at Billings and then at 80mph I got about 45 mpg. I expected that and am very pleased with Toyota.

My experience with Helena Motors was great. With the understanding of vehicle shortage i decided to purchase a new Honda Pilot for $5000.00 more that a 2018 model that was advertised. The sales rep, Jeffery Barbagello was the only salesperson i dealt with. The reason i dont like to buy a car at a dealership is dealing with several sales people who have you so confused when you are in the buying process, you just want to get the care and get out. Anyway. Jeff did a great job of explaining the car, identifying what my needs were and totally confidence on what he was representing: comfort, dependability, service and being responsible for the vehicle i was buying. Liked the process very much. More than i can say about the Butte Honda dealership who totally ignored me on my second visit to buy a Honda - very rude bunch
I had the most unexpected, easy and wonderful experience buying a brand new Toyota Highlander Hybrid from John Alastra at Helena Motors! Instead of an onslaught of pushy sales talk and jargon and reasons why I would need to pay more (my experience elsewhere!), John listened to what I wanted, gave me information, made a very fair deal on the vehicle I bought and my trade in -- and made it all happen within a few days so I could drive away on a long trip in my new rig. Everyone at the dealership pitched in and went out of their way for me. I cant say enough good about Helena Motors. I wont ever go anywhere else.

Husband had his Tacoma serviced here for a fuel pump replacement. When he picked it up he took it to get gas (because he had to bring it in almost empty for the pump replacement) and had the gas pour out all over the ground because they had put the fuel tank on wrong. Took it back to have them fix it. There was no apology, no trying to make it right, no anything. He was now out of gas and they didn’t add any after fixing it, nor did they test it to make sure it wouldn’t pour out again. He didn’t know if he would even make it to a gas station after picking it up. Honestly it would have been fine if they would have tried to make things right for their mistake, but they apparently don’t care. The only thing that separates car maintenance places in this town is the service and frankly Helena Motors doesn’t have any.
I was not happy with the dealer, I got lack of respect, fairness, he wanted to control the whole situation and did not let me compare, and he ignored my concerns. Horrible Customer Service. I will not be back their again. I bought the car because I wanted it from the start, but the service was not good. Even the manager lacks respect and ignores concerns.
Took one and a half hours to complete an oil change scheduled by appointment, and tried to upsell me on almost $2000 of services via email while I waited in the lobby, thirty feet away from the service writer. In addition, said oil change came out to cost more than their quote sent ten minutes prior.Not very impressed, never had service this lackluster or predatory from any other Ford dealership. If you aren’t knowledgeable on car maintenance I’d advise you to find a different shop that won’t try to pull this garbage with you or your loved ones, I certainly will be.Appears they did in fact change my oil and I haven’t found any new leaks yet so that’s nice at least.Update: I appreciate the condescending reply, I do all other maintenance aside from oil changes on my own, as it is far more cost effective and I can ensure the work is done correctly. I also appreciate your posting of my personal vehicle information, extremely childish behavior from a business who should know better.

Jessica was very professional and easy to deal with. From there, she introduced me to Kourtney, who helped me through the process and answered the many questions that I had. Great experience with Kirk and the team at Helena Motors. I test drove a few trucks, went home and called Kirk the next day to tell him which one I wanted. After he told me it was ready for pickup I decided to be the ultimate bad customer and changed my mind after looking at one other truck on their site. Kirk was more than courteous and still had the truck I wanted ready for me when I arrived. The whole process was less painful than it could have been, especially from someone who hates the car buying process.
We had a very pleasant experience purchasing our Honda CRV from Helena Motors. I started talking with them about purchasing a vehicle over a year ago. I told them I wasn’t in a hurry and that I wasn’t even sure which type of vehicle I wanted yet. I wanted to do my homework first. Our salesman, Jack King was patient and very helpful. I never felt pressured or pushed but instead felt supported and informed the entire time. His communication through email, phone, and text was on point. When I was finally ready to “pull the trigger” we had no hesitation in driving the 100 miles to use this dealership and salesman. Jack was great to work with in person as well. He was thorough and knowledgeable when going over the features of each car we looked at. Once we had chosen our CRV the paperwork was handled professionally and efficiently by another member of the Honda team (I can’t remember his name) making the overall experience a great one. Becky and I drove to Helena 2 days later from Laurel and purchased the truck. The whole experience was a pleasure from meeting Michael, Dan the Business Manager, and talking to Susan the Title Manager. LOVED the fact there was no Doc fee. I will go there again in the future!
When my local dealership in Kalispell couldnt locate the new car I wanted, Kirk at Helena Motors stepped up and helped me purchase it. Our salesperson was Randy Magill who did a great job of explaining all of the options available on a Toyota Highlander Hybrid. We are Costco members, and their discount on the vehicle coupled with what Helena Motors was able to do was significant. We did a lot of comparison shopping and Helena Motors had the best deal by far. Randy was helpful, informative, and fair, but not high pressure or pushy at all. We did most of our negotiations by telephone due to the pandemic and the distance from our home to Helena. We ended up buying a Toyota Highlander Limited and so far, we are extremely pleased with the vehicle. Randy took the time to explain how many of the high tech options work on the vehicle, which was much appreciated. It was worth driving the two hours to Helena Motors to get such a good deal on our new vehicle. The dealership was able to get us a very competitive financing package as well. We have been very satisfied with Helena Motors so far.
They recently got in a 2008 Honda with 111,000 miles on it. When I inquired about it, it was listed for $5,500.I was informed it had 100% hail damage.And if you look at the Car fax, it shows that it was sold by Billings.Probably because they couldn’t sell it, either. Which is saying something, considering Honda is a good brand. They usually sell very quickly!The salesperson was extremely pushy and called me a bunch of times.I understand trying to make a sale, but pushing someone to fill out a credit application before they have even seen the thing is not ok. I’m not going to ding my credit before I even look at the thing.Now, it is listed for nearly $8,000. Which is INSANE. The salesperson said it is because they replaced the front tires and brakes.But when I first inquired about the car, while he did mention they’d replace those, he did NOT mention they would raise the price because of it.The Honda wasn’t even worth $5,500 in my eyes. It is especially not worth it at $8K.I will never purchase a car from this dealership. Be careful yall.

I got my new-used 2017 RAV4 from a Toyota dealer and decided to stay with Toyota for maintenance and service my car will need while I pay it off (just to be safe). I’ve always had this fear that I would be upsold on things especially because I am a woman and I have zero idea on how to fix a car. I’m pleased to say that THAT hasn’t happened in the 1.5 years I’ve been coming here for service.So I gave the two stars for that.My Bluetooth has failed on my radio unit and I asked if they could look into what happened. The kind Sir at the service counter told me that they would run a diagnostics and let me know what they find and in addition reassured me that if the solution cost more than $150 they would first get my approval for the go-ahead. I left my car and got a call about 11am saying that my vehicle was ready and that the Bluetooth could not be fixed and would need a brand new screen costing me $1,220 and some $150 for labor. I obviously told him that I don’t need Bluetooth that badly because the radio and aux cord work 100%.At the counter the same kind Sir reiterated everything to me. THEN….he tells me that the diagnostics was $176.27 ALONE! (I also had an oil change) Kind Sir failed to mentioned that plugging my car to a computer and click clacking away to allegedly update my system was actually going to cost me at all.No one should be made to feel like they are being hustled, cheated, given the run around and/or dare I say, lied to!I didn’t want to complain in front of customers and other employees. It’s not lady like and to be completely real, I don’t think Kind Sir would let his wife or daughter fall into this kind of trap.Update: I appreciate the time an associate took to read and respond to my review in a timely manner. Thank you for acknowledging the miscommunication on both ends (I didn’t ask the correct questions) and for offering me a couple solutions.I will continue to come to Toyota for oil changes and concerns I have in regards to my vehicle.
The folks at Helena Motors have always been professional. They were the ones who found my last vehicle- which I LOVE!! Then, they have skillfully maintained the service on it and I continue to enjoy driving my old vehicle. The cars and trucks (new and used) that are available at this dealership are top notch and the sales people and service people are the best!!
I am guessing the owner and general manager of this dealership are making more than enough money.My wife and I stopped into the dealership with our 18 F150 looking to update to a 21 F150. We went onto the lot and looked at the F150s for 15 minutes and no one bothered to come out and talk to us. As we drove out past the front of the showroom no one came up to us to offer assistance. Evidently they were too comfortable in their camping chairs sitting outside in front of the showroom to bother with us. If I was the owner or GM I would be embarrassed!
It was a very pleasant sales experience. Randy was patient and attentive as we test drove several different vehicles. He wasnt overbearing and didnt pressure us into anything. I would definitely purchase another vehicle from Randy and Helena Motors.

We recently took delivery of our new Bronco Sport after an 8mo waiting period. John was infinitely patient with my numerous inquiries and order changes, paint, package, etc. 8mos will give you ample time to think about your purchase! John was more than gracious and I can tell you, the Bronco was worth the wait. The purchasing experience was the best Ive had in my 35 yrs of buying vehicles. I have been taking my vehicles to Helena Motors for several years. I have also purchased my last two cars from them. All of my experiences have been very good- I would not hesitate to recommend these folks to anyone. Jeffery- our most recent sales person was terrific work with! With three daughters, Im sure I will go back there for another vehicle at some point, and I doubt that I will be disappointed.
Purchased a new F-250 at the end of 2020 and traded in my 2015 F-150. When closing the deal, I inquired about oil changes included with the purchase of a new pickup. I was informed these were not included, but that with the points on the app after purchase, I could redeem free services.I emailed back and forth with my salesman numerous times after purchase to which he continued to respond it typically takes 4-6 weeks.Come the end of March (3 months after purchase), I scheduled my initial service as I had an upcoming 3000 mile road trip. The salesmen told me to call the ford app customer services, which I did. The customer service agent then blamed the salesman and said it would take another 30 days to fix; both playing the he said/she said game all over a $73 initial service.Prior to my service, I informed the salesman that I would pay out of pocket and take my services elsewhere moving forward - never heard back from them again. (And still havent seen the points)
We bought a car!! John Alastra is fantastic. From start to finish the customer service was top notch, plus he spent 2.5 hours with us when we pick it up setting up all the features and educating us on every cool detail. Highly recommend!
We have bought several vehicles over the years from Helena Motors including Toyota and Ford trucks and a Toyota Rav4. John Alastra has always helped our sales experience go thru smoothly, Jeff in Finance is quick with the paperwork, and the gang in the Service Dept is great to deal with. We have had a couple of recalls that have been handled well.Most recently, I received delivery of a 2021 F150 Powerboost. Its a beautiful truck and John and I have enjoyed figuring out all the new technology. Although the truck was not cheap, Helena Motors gave me a fantastic trade-in price which sealed the deal for me. I would recommend Helena Motors every time!

Had a little issue with my car that I did not even purchase through them ...they got me back on track and were so kind !!! Troy had excellent customer service skills and was so genuine! My wife and I have bought three vehicles from John Alastra at Helena Motors and have been totally satisfied with each transaction. We live in Great Falls but continue to make the trip to Helena because of the satisfaction and great service.
My wife and I are recent transplants to Montana, and I wasnt sure we would be able to find a vehicle in Helena. Before driving to the bigger city of Bozeman, we popped into Helena Motors, and were glad we did. John Alastra is a patient, able, and above-and-beyond salesperson and an asset to Helena Motors and Toyota. We visited on a Thursday with less than an hour until closing and he began the process right then and there, allowing us to return the next two days to test drive other vehicles and finalize the purchase process to make sure we got this major decision right. Hes the epitome of a straightforward, no pressure salesperson. I highly recommend visiting him if youre in the market for a new or used vehicle. A few weeks in and we remain very happy with our new RAV4 and the car buying experience we received at Helena Motors.

We had a great experience at Helena Motors. Jeff Barbagello was our salesman and he was very considerate and took the time to answer all of our questions. He was extremely knowledgable about all three different Rav4s we drove and he has been extremely helpful since our purchase.
Had a truly awful first experience attempting to buy a vehicle on this lot. Wouldn’t even give it one star if that was a choice. I was told after talking to a sales person for several weeks that we could make the 3 hr and 30 min drive from kalispell to Helena motors to purchase the vehicle we had been speaking on. Finally got to the lot and decided against the vehicle we originally were wanting. We looked at a few other vehicles and at prices on their websites while the sales person disappeared for 30-40 minutes. Ended up finding a vehicle in our price range. We were told he had to wait “just a few minutes” for some paper work to come through then we could be on our way back home. A “few minutes” turned into several hours. 5 hours to be exact, right at closing time. The sales person then told us if we were to get a hotel and come back the next morning (so we wouldn’t have a wasted 7 hour round trip) we could leave that morning with that vehicle. The next morning we came back an hour after opening and still had to wait for several hours and still didn’t get the vehicle due to “paperwork”! It may have been many factors contributing To this experience but it seems the sales person Is making the business look bad, but overall had a terrible experience.
Purchased my Lincoln MXK a few years ago and 2 months later purchased a Chevy truck. The rigd run great. We have used the service department since the purchase of the vehicles for maintence and the service department is excellent.. Only place we will take either car.
I’ve never felt so satisfied and thankful. Zach in service went above and beyond to work me into a full schedule on Saturday. I was completely stranded with no hotels or rental cars available.I’d like to thank the mechanic as well, whom I didn’t speak to but I’m sure went out of his way to work on my f350. Worst dealership I have ever encountered. My daughter bought a certified vehicle from them 3 months ago. 1st day it broke down. Had to be towed back to dealership. Then have kept it there for 3 months. She has paid 3 car payments and 3 months of insurance for a car she drove 1 day. Has been returned twice and broke down twice. They have promised over and over again that it will be fixed. Will contact BBB and press if no action is taken immediately. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS DEALERSHIP
Right now I am having a very poor experience with this dealership on a routine recall on my 19 rav 4 needing fuel pump recall. They replaced it fuel gage would not go above half full they said bring it back Today to fix bring it back wait an hour. I am told its all fixed charged for gas because they put 4 gallons in and said all good. I leave to fill up issue still remains now I am waiting again for this to get fixed like my time is not worth anything and my frustration continues to grow. If you have a recall do not bring it here. They did finally get the fuel gage normally again. it should be noted no issues prior to bringing in for recall. On routine maintenance (ex: oil changes, topping fluids off, or doing a inspection) I have never had an issue.*Ubdate They did reach out about my experience and offered a free service to compensate for this experience, however as I explained having this issue and it being on something smaller really removes my trust towards this dealership when it comes to anything mechanical or part replacement.
Our November 2019 purchase of a used SUV at Helena Motors could not have been a more pleasant experience. Ive purchased many vehicles over the years from many dealerships. Helena Motors was by far and away the absolute best ! Kourtney Koch was a wonderful salesman, the best ever ! They gave us a great price, and restored the vehicle to excellent operating condition before turning the keys over to us. We cant speak highly enough of Helena Motors and their organization !

I recently purchased a 2021 Honda Ridgeline from Helena Motors. Best buying process that I have ever experienced that was made possible by Jessica Agee and Scott Baker. With no assets available locally, Jessica Agee set me up with a vehicle that was just entering production, and walked me through all the packages equipped on the STL-E model. We then went through price: MSRP, Internet Price and Costco Auto Buying Program. We eliminated the usual car company add-ons (extended warranty, rock chip protection and financing). Because of the lack of inventory and demand, there was no one in western Montana would even budge from MSRP, so Helena Motors was a no brainer. Jessica turned the project over to Scott Baker who added frosting on the cake that included preparation of/and including only the necessary paperwork. I saw the Ridgeline for the first time when Scott delivered the vehicle from Helena to Bonner. After lunch, it took no more than 5 min to complete the paper work and the deal was done. Not overly impressed. This is the first car that we have purchased from a true dealership in a long, long time. The 2 past cars were purchased at CarMax in Colorado and we truly enjoyed that car buying experience. This car buying experience was just ok...if not worse than OK. We drove to the lot with the purpose of looking at a very specific truck. When we asked to see if we could see inside, we were given a long story about how they dont keep the keys on the windows on cars that are on the permeter cause 7 years ago there were keys that were stolen and such....dont care! We wanted to see inside the truck. The truck was dirty on the inside and in true need of a good detail, went on the test drive, and the gas light came on. We decided that we were going to make an offer on the truck and went inside. After about 20 minutes of sitting at the desk, we finally were able to start talking numbers. We reallying wanted running boards and were hoping to negotiate a little. Then the sales guy disappeared again. After about an other 20 minutes, he came back and told us that the price of the truck had gone up, so now they are not able to negotiate and what you see is what you get. No making it right, no fixing some of the issues on the truck, no getting running boards as part of the deal. Again after about 20 minutes of sitting at his desk we were taken to the office to sign the papers. We were lucky enough to be paying in cash so we didnt have to deal with all of the finance office. I feel that we were rushed through this process. We signed up and paid for an extended warranty, but have no information or really any proof that we purchased it, other then the word of mouth that we take our Nissan truck to a Ford dealership for any warranty work. We were not provided with any terms or conditions or additional information about this warranty that I just spent 2100 on. After signing a handful of papers, we stepped outside and waited for the truck to be done with getting cleaned and fueled. We spent a total of 38k on this truck, and we were told that since its a used vehicle, they will only fill the tank to half....after listening to a few sales guys sitting outside complaining about the most recent email or meeting, we got in our new truck and drove away only to find that one of the key fob batteries were dead.All in all, we were told that it is the goal of Helena Motors to keep a positive reputation in the Helena area, and they are trying to keep customers for life. All in all, I feel that we got taken advantage of, and our needs/wants were overlooked during the process. Honestly, we felt pushed and felt that we were an inconvenience to the day and worry that we made the wrong decision by purchasing at this particular dealership. Hope were wrong!

Love the staffBut if you want a quick oil change or are going in for a check on any part of your vehicle . Expect it to be 3+ hours even with a appointment...4 hours in to them checking my window that fell off track..still havent heard anything and noone is getting back to me ....kind of annoying since its my only vehicle.After my car was done shuttle service picked me up wh from my house and that was very nice the shuttle driver was such a gentleman he even helped me carry my daughters carseat in
Had worked with their salesman Corey Pope for a vehicle that they were not going to have for a month, inquired two weeks before it was to be there, and was told it had already been sold. Have ALWAYS been leary of the Helena dealers due to bad reviews, now I understand why. No communication from them, nothing. Buyer beware! If I could give them a no star rating I would.
Had the best experience here. Kirk Loveridge is the best salesman! I traveled a long Montana way to find just the right car for my physical and financial needs. Kirk hooked me up with exactly the perfect fit. His kindness and patience over two days of his time was an unorecedented experience for me. Dont think I can recommend Helena Motors but especially Kirk enough.
Helena Motors recently sold me a car with an excessive oil consumption problem. In the neighborhood of 1+ quart per 1000 miles. I bought it as the second owner and at 100k. Helena Motors has serviced it since new, so I cannot imagine this problem would have gone unnoticed. It is a shame that they would be willing to pass an undisclosed issue like this along to a buyer. It has left me with a seriously devalued vehicle because I have enough moral compass to disclose it to any future buyers.The article linked below by the dealership states 1 quart per 1000 miles to be acceptable for “some performance vehicles.” This is an economy sedan. Unless the offer to repair is at dealership expense, I’m not interested.

I live out of state. I contacted Helena Motors because they had a vehicle I was interested in. Jim Knight was very responsive and honest in taking my proposed price offer to management. The offer was accepted and and I travelled out to meet Jim at the Helena Motors Dealership. He had the vehicle ready to go and we have the vehicle we needed. Very good experience.

We recently came down from Great Falls to meet with Jim Knight about looking at a truck. We only had a small window of time and thought we would be able to just do a test drive. Jim was so helpful and efficient with the process that we actually ended up buying the vehicle that day. Everything about the experience was fantastic. They even have a great test drive route that lets you see how the vehicle handles on side streets, highway and interstate. Had a couple questions about the financing a month later and I received a call back and issue taken care of within 5 minutes. I actually look forward to doing car deals with them in the future.

I have been very happy with the Helena Motors group. In the last few years I have bought 2 cars from Jim Knight. Never any pressure to buy and in the case of my second car the dealership did not have what I was looking for. Jim didn’t try to sell me something else, and told me he would keep an eye out. Several months later he let me know they might have what I wanted if I was still interested. Again no pressure when I looked at it, but it was exactly what I was looking for. I have always been treated well by everyone at the dealership. Have recommended several people to go see Jim for their car needs and they also found the perfect car with his help.
The service people were very kind and went out of their way to explain what was going on. They went the extra mile and washed our vehicle. Our vehicle has a warranty so was checking 2 seeps to make sure it was okay. Toyota corporate will not fix until it becomes an actual drip.

I found a Mustang GT online at your dealership. I saw that the car was lowmileage. I called and spoke to Steve Miller and decided to drive to Helenaand see the car. Mr Miller was very professional and helpful. I did not needto test drive it as I had owned an 03, I started it up and engine sounded great.The interior was premium which is a big seller to me I like leather. Decided tosee If I could make a deal. I thought the price a little high,but it has very lowmileage, and we struck a deal. I could not get back to dealership right awayas I was waiting for balance of downpayment funds to get to me. When I arrivedto pick up the vehicle it was clean and looking sharp in your show room very impressive. Best auto buying experience Ive had in my entire life and I havepurchased a lot of vehicles. We drove from Great Falls because we could get the Honda Accord for $1800 less. We called our local Honda dealer yet they were not interested in matching the price. Well worth the drive. We dealt with Jim Knight. He was very prompt and professional. He had our vehicle ready for us upon arrival! Nice smooth transaction. Great car buying experience.
10:30 am appointment. At 11:10 am the vehicle still hadnt been started on. It was pulled around at 10:30, then moved back around to the waiting area. I had to go in and ask what the eta was, then was informed that a vehicle ahead of me was holding things up. The only saving grace is when I said pull my car out so I can leave, they offered to do the service for free. I will return, only because the free offer warrants a second chance.Second chance failed7-6-188:30am appointment, dropped off. 3:30 pm received phone call that tires couldnt be rotated because the truck is too big for their lift. 7hrs to decide it couldnt be done. Ford dealership couldnt service the Ford truck I brought in, and couldnt be bothered to tell me for 7hrs. When I made a complaint, the service consultant tells me that I dont have to bring the vehicle there for service a real class act that one. Ive brought that vehicle in several times before-and had other issues with them- and they are the ones who actually recommended the tire rotation in the first place. I no longer trust that they have qualified people working in their shop, and certainly not in their customer service area.
Device department is terrible! Took my car in for wiring issues and got it back 2 weeks later than they said I would (part got there the day after my car went in so it being back ordered was NOT the issue), when I got it back it had another issue and when we spoke to the service manager he got very defensive and aggressive. Will NEVER go back there! Will not even buy a car from them. Don’t recommend them to my worst enemy!
Helena Ford is a great place to take your vehicle. My only reason for not giving five stars is they seem to always be so busy its hard to get a vehicle back in a timely manner. The technicians are knowledgeable but they often seem to be out or working on too many vehicles at the same time. They always get it done I just wish it was a little faster.
