My 2008 Ford Escape Hybrid was sluggish and getting poor gas mileage. Beachside Auto diagnosed and repaired several problems, including spark plug replacement, rear brake pads and cleaning the hybrid battery cooling vents. Now the car is peppy again and Im getting amazing gas mileage, up from 21 mpg to 33 mpg! Its hybriding again, running more frequently on battery power at low speeds.The team and all the techs were friendly and helpful, and it was a pleasure having Slater drive me home and back again while the car was in the shop. I also appreciated the online diagnostic report they provided, complete with pictures, showing me all the work that needed doing. *Very* helpful.I highly recommend Beachside Auto.

Recently I took my van in to Beachside Auto in Hermosa Beach. Ken of Beachside Autohas been helping me with all of my vehicles for over 10 years now. I made an appointment to get my van repaired when I knew I would be in town, because even though I moved away, I still bring my cars to Beachside when I visit the area. While Beachside mechanics are not only friendly and professional, I was amazed at how quickly and easily they fixed my vehicle. Ken even loaned me a car to use during the day since I traveled in from out of town, so he could do the repair and I could go do other things. As stated, I have brought several vehicles to Beachside Auto over the years and they have never let me down. I am grateful as always for Beachside Auto and their professional and thorough attention to detail, and excellent service!

Ive been visiting Beachside Auto for all of my maintenance needs for the past 3 years, which have become more common for me with a 15 year-old car. I can always trust Ken and his team to provide great service and value. And I cant speak highly enough about how well this team communicates. I can access my car records with them a variety of ways, old-school and new-school, and theyve talked me through a number of maintenance things I didnt initially understand. They also give great referrals - most recently to an auto body shop for some body work following an accident. That work is still in progress, but Ive found those folks to be similarly customer-friendly.

I arrives first thing in the morning and the girl inside was very nice and friendly and welcoming. Some are just not first thing in the morning. Then I met Ken and again super friendly, you can just tell by talking to him that hes gonna take good care of your car or truck. He didnt some torque and tightened some stuff under the truck then took a look at my breaks and said they still were good. So I liked the honesty and not wanting to change them just for the money. This was my first time and wow I shouldve been coming here long ago. This is the place where your car goes to live longer and to get the love it needs. Thanks Ken and all of Beachside Auto!!

Took my Passat in for 50K mile check up. Had never been here before and needed a reliable, location friendly place I can consistently take my car in for service and repairs. From the first contact with Laura on phone, to meeting Ken in person, to the quaity of their work and thoroughness of the follow up report and Invoice- they are amazing! Would recommend to anyone. Daniel the technician was fantastic and Nora in the office helpful as well. They actually all act like they cared. ( Now Thats rare, right?).

Best service ever! I have been going to the shop for 15 years cool. I won’t go anywhere else. Fair they need a new word for fair… OMG. So helpful, upfront, honest and actually good at their job… Go figure. Highly recommend to anyone needing their car fixed even if they have to travel a little bit out of their way to get there. From the way ole dude spoke on the phone I wouldnt even try going here. Im asking for quotes, the girl is giving me quotes for the services Im listing, then he grabs the phone acts like hes irritated with me and rushes the conversation.

I have a hybrid and since I had to get a recall taken care of, I went to the dealership and asked them to perform an oil change and check my air conditioning system. They sai pd I had to leave my car at least overnight as they are not qualified to work on hybrid A/C systems. Called Beachside Auto and no problem!

I went in and asked the guys why my light showing my tires could be low kept coming on. They did a complete check and apparently the computer wasnt communicating with something, lol. Anyway they reset it, they were amazing and didnt charge me an arm and a leg, woohoo!!

I have lived in Europe, east and west coast and this is by far the best auto shop I have ever had service done before. Took my car in for a noise it had been making for some time. Turns out I needed my axle replaced. What I really liked was that the owner Ken explained to me what was going on and recommended that I have the axle seals replaced as well. I felt comfortable with their advice and I had them do the complete job. It is true what they say. You get what you pay for. The service and professionalism makes all the difference.

The team at Beachside Auto is fantastic. Ive been using them since I moved to Manhattan Beach in 2007 and continue to use them even though Ive moved away--their service always makes the drive worthwhile. Per all the other reviews, the staff is always very friendly both on the phone and in person. I think the most important thing they do though is really take the time to explain exactly what is wrong with your car (if anything) and what can be done to fix it. Ive only comparison-shopped once and they were very fair and reasonable with their prices. It can be tough to find mechanics that you trust but I definitely trust these guys.
