I visited this place after staying in the hotel across the street after attending a concert. The business is located inside what looks like it was once a home, and has been decorated in a very welcoming way. There are tables and couches throughout as well as plenty of outdoor seating. The bakery display case is stocked full of delicious sweets. The staff was attentive and friendly during my visit. I tried two desserts and was impressed with both. My cold brew coffee was made to perfection. Ive had a lot of not great cold brews before but this one was on point. I would visit this place again if ever in the area!

Ultimate sweet tooth satisfaction!! Our family enjoyed sweets from Desserts, etc. while visiting the Hershey area. They offered Keto diet and Gluten free options, as well as, decadent cupcakes, cookies and cakes. Most certainly worth a stop. Highly recommended.

Money hungry, unprofessional, disgraceful piece of work. I ordered a 4 tier wedding cake paid for delivery to only get the cake broken & messed up. We took a photo of the girl putting it in the truck trying to fix it. When we called the manager she said she doesnt want to see no photo, didnt care once it left out their car & wasnt going to even try to come fix it nor give any money back. This on my sons wedding day an HR before the wedding started. I had to pay another baker to fix the cake. Then it wasnt how we ordered it no sunflowers on the cake (mind you she tried to say we didnt ask for it but yet the cupcakes had the sunflowers) no remorse at all, un sympathetic but then wonders why. I screamed at them. Well NEVER AGAIN dont waste your time nor money. I want at least half my money back. Its the least they can do for all the tears we shed especially the bride due to this incident & the inconvenience to find another baker & money we had to pay extra to fix it.

Our oldest daughter turned 17 yesterday, and my husband and I took the girls to the Hershey Pantry to celebrate the special occasion. First time there and we loved it. The stuff was amazing (specially Doug & Sky), they all came and sang “happy birthday” to my daughter. Brunch was good, loved the hot chocolate and the blueberry cream cheese was the highlight of the day. I will definitely go back….

Don’t order a birthday cake from them!!This review is specific to specialty cake orders, such as in this case, a birthday cake. I ordered a triple layer cake and as you can see from the photos the cake was cracking on top and the top layer shifted by the time I got home. I live 20 minutes away from this place and went straight home after picking it up while the cake sat in the passenger seat, AC on full blast. When I called them to complain they said “it was fine before you left” WOW! That’s all they had to say….on top of the initial visual issues, the cake was falling apart when we began cutting into it. As for the flavor, was supposed to be salted carmel but tasted nothing like it. There was supposed to be fresh bananas in the filling, was hardly any. This was the second time in a month we ordered a birthday cake from Desserts and was disappointed both times….this one more than the last. No more! Will definitely never “order” another cake from them and highly recommend to go elsewhere for that “special occasion” cake.

Variety of items and weekly specials. The baked oatmeal is very good (except the pumpkin one-- hopefully we can get more oatmeal than cream cheese.) But still 5 stars.

Undercooked desserts taste more like batter than muffins or cookies and an obsession with putting cream on everything. A blueberry muffin shouldn’t be hollowed out and filled with cream cheese, it should be a blueberry muffin. They try to hard here to be different and end up being unhealthy and unappetizing

They had a surprisingly varied selection of staple snacks as well as an array of seasonally flavored items to chose from. The interior is small but has a clean and contemporary appeal. There is additional seating on the front porch.

I sought out this bakery because they did a wonderfully delicious cake for a coworkers retirement and they are super close to home. I ordered a plain style cheesecake with blue icing border and writing. Never received the confirmation email so I called to make sure it would be ready. When I got it I took a quick look to make sure the writing was correct. Didnt realize how dark it was until I got home. Ive never seen a plain cheesecake that color, I believe it was burnt. The phone call to notify them was a hassle so I brought it back in person and getting my money back was no problem. I dont recommend cheesecake, especially at $42, but their large cake was delicious which is why Im leaving 2 stars.

Thats our go to for celebrations (order in advance over the phone or on their website). Today I ventured out for a sweet treat. We got a beach cupcake and a peanut butter bomb. Cupcake was for a kid, well liked by the target audience (I mean he only ate one bite then wanted my dessert selection). We split the bomb. It was so dense. Nothing mousse-like about it. It was a creamy peanut buttery attack! Heavy AF. We ate 1/2 and maxed out. Let the rest melt in the car. Got a coffee and a juice. They were both average. Im sure well be back but this definitely cannot happen on a regular basis cause I just gained 5lbs!

What can I say when phenomenally outstanding just doesnt quite describe it??? I got the lemon cupcake....WOW! The icing was decadent, the cake moist and perfect texture and it had just enough filling inside to add to the lemon flavor. Everything in the store is made on premises, and EVERYTHING, YES, EVERYTHING...is delicious. If you like chocolate, this place is for you, KETO fan? Tgey gotcha covered. If baked oatmeal is more your vibe, come on in, theyve got that too! I was in awe of the choices. Sweets fans beware...you may just lose composure in Desserts etc. It took every bit of restraint that I had not to buy more goodies. GO!!! Youll be glad that you did.

I love being here, and the wonderful smells of chocolate and coffee fill the air. There are several places that are cozy comfortable seating nooks. The staff is so pleasant and they are good at answering questions and making recommendations according to your individual taste.

We ordered several dozen muffins for an event. They were both delicious and beautiful! Everyone loved them. While I was there, I grabbed a coffee and that was great too. I will definitely be back!

First time trying this bakery, everything looked great through the glass display of lies. I asked the worker if the cinnamon roll is a good pick, to which she replied yes and that it is moist. When I got home to eat it, it was dry as the Sahara desert. After I bit into it, I immediately gagged, and needed to take a sip of water because I was coughing and my voice became hoarse. I cannot believe I was misled by the reviews here to think that it would be worth it to pay for the overpriced pastries here. I also purchased an iced sugar cookie for my sister, which was mediocre for its price, where we could have bought a much better alternative at Giant or another grocery store. We will not be returning within the next century.

My family has frequented this establishment for years. It has been a few months since we have been here, but just recently we stopped in and ordered various different items from the display case. We were only happy with one of them; the rest of the baked goods were either dry or bland. Everything is quite expensive and the mediocre cake, muffin, cinnamon roll, etc were certainly not worth our money. It is disappointing since we have previously only had good things to say about Desserts etc and were always excited to go. Not sure if ownership has changed or what, but we won’t be returning if this what we will get.

Really loved this place. I will definitely be back, even though its not close to home. Maybe after I run off a few calories first, haha.

We really liked the Nutella bomb. It’s a perfect balance between the darker chocolate on the outside and the chocolate mousse on the inside. We also had the three layer mousse which was good too. Have to go back to try the coffee.

Went with friends. we came in near closing time (10-15 mins before). because we knew they were closing soon, we all ordered things from the case (took less than 2 mins to get our orders together). we overheard the staff badmouthing us for coming in when we did and calling us names, despite us trying to be considerate because we knew we came in late. the cupcake i got was good, not extraordinary but well-made and fresh for the end of the day. but if youre going to comment about us, at least do it when we cant hear you @ staff.

Stopped here for some coffee and dessert. The ladies there were fantastic and very patient. The coffee was strong and delicious and the cupcakes we had were good. I only wish they had more variety of desserts.

We visited Desserts, etc. twice in one weekend while visiting Hershey. Saturday evening we knew we were there close to closing. We had finished dinner at a local pizza place a few minutes away (Manninos) and wanted to try here for dessert. We ordered to go. The desserts were wonderful and the girls working the counter were very sweet. The next morning we decided to go here for breakfast. Once again, the food was great. However the older woman at the counter snapped at my son when he began to order. My daughter told her there would be four of us. I had ordered my drink and the older woman taking the order came back and asked if there was anything else. I told my son to go ahead. My son started to place his request and she snapped she was talking to me. I said he was with us. She snapped she wanted to know if I wanted anything else in my coffee (I got the smores special). My son was polite, please and thank you type. He started with Could I please get... when she cut of off. I was a little put off by how the woman acted. Yet it was busy (but not line out the door busy) and I am certain they can be inundated by some high-maintenance people However, when you are looking towards someone and asking if there is anything else. to snap at the person you are looking at when they begin to order is a bit out of line. I used to work in customer service when I was younger and have the utmost respect for people who endure the abuse of others. However, her tone with a young person WHOM she was looking at when she asked if there was anything else was out of order and completely different from the sweetness of the girls the night before and the girl running the counter as well.So, the desserts were great the night before. Cream puff, peach cupcake, chocolate bomb and a sort of stuffed cookie.For breakfast, my son said the HUGE oatmeal raisin cookie he got for breakfast (dont judge, he is an adult) and the hot chocolate were some of the best he had (the hot chocolate did not taste like a machine or a doctored mix). The crumb cakes and blueberry muffin were excellent. The smores coffee was OK. My daughter got a chai and husband, black tea.Would we go back there when in the area? Absolutely for the food. My concern is the attitude of the older woman will persist with others (and various reviews mentioned a woman who was less than pleasant) will negatively affect the business. BUT THE YOUNGER STAFF WAS A DELIGHT!

I started off loving this place years ago but lately every single time I get something form there it disappoints me. And today I got my father a birthday cake and my mom a mini triffle. Each one had hair in them! I couldnt believe it. This was just the nail on the coffin, I wont be returning. Everything looks better then it is, dont be fooled.

I ordered cookies for staff at two offices in the Hershey Medical Center. I was instructed by the woman in charge of donations that the cookies had to be individually wrapped. I placed the order in person and am 100% sure I asked for the individual wrapping. When I picked them up, I failed to look as I believed they would be wrapped. Not until I was inside HMC delivering the cookies did I notice they were not wrapped. The cookies were $200.00, plus I gave a $30.00 tip. When I called to voice my disappointment, I was told the instructions were not on the order. And that was that. There was no apology, no Let us make this right. The cookies smelled and looked amazing. But I will never patronize this business again.

They make a pretty decent Latte. There dessert case is simply breathtaking. The desserts look amazing and everything is so well organized and put together. The desserts taste amazing. The prices arent to bad. Your looking at about $2.50-$5.00 per dessert. I thought the staff was friendly. Since my visit was in the spring outdoor seating was available yay! There is not a lot of seating inside so I might get it to go if I was coming during a cooler time of the year. So if your a coffee or dessert lover you gotta check them out!

It is a nice shop. Lots of baked good choices as well as some premade sandwiches and salads. Clean. Friendly staff. In-door seating. If you like the Starbuck style coffee shop/bakery, you will be pleased.Personally, I think this style of place is overpriced in general. I can make a dozen lemon squares at home or buy half a dozen at a grocery store fir the price of one here. That being said, the portions were large and tasted great. Friends can treat me there anytime they want.😃

I could not be happier with my experience at Desserts,etc. It is such a small homey feeling coffee shop with amazing baked goods. Plus they serve Petes coffee which is amazing in itself! If you have not been there you should go. I wish my hometown had something this amazing!

I love this place! I can respect any business that produces gluten free pastries! Their Chai latte is delicious and Macarons are really to-die-for. I will be returning frequently! Their interior is modern yet cozy, very clean, and the displays will make your mouth water!

It wasn’t quite ready, so they not only changed my order from 6” to 8” but they made it triple layer and delivered it!The cake was absolutely delicious and Desserts etc will have all my business going forward! Ordered Cupcakes for daughters birthday. The cupcakes were mocha with light chocolate frosting, special order. I’m out of state. My daughter and her friends said they were regular sized and chocolate. $33.00 for 6 ok cupcakes and candle. Sadly disappointed. They told me they were bigger than standard.

Absolutely love everything they make, its like nomatter what it is if they touched it, its delicious. There cream puffs are to die for ..if thats not enough Ive never witnessed anyone that works there have a bad day, not saying they dont but they dont take it out on there customers like some places Ive been . This place is hit or miss to me. Sometimes they have extremely delicious items and sometimes I think they are just ok. The salads and sandwiches seemed to never disappoint. The staff used to not be so friendly, but whoever the current staff are, they are EXTREMELY friendly. That is a huge plus, especially in these covid times we are experiencing.

First time here and i am positive surprised, many cakes to those from, and the two I tast was nice.

One of my fav places to stop with my kids, the hubby for a date night, and one of my gal pals which we have deemed it “our place” to meet up! Love their monthly coffee specials and my all time favorite dessert is the delicious and rich opera fudge bomb. Such a great atmosphere whether you are enjoying your treat inside their quaint sitting area and tables or outside on their porch or patio area. Desserts is a must visit frequently place to go!!

I love this place! What an awesome place to go to for fun on an afternoon or for ordering in larger quantities from their huge selection of the most delectable treats. Their made to order dessert ordering process is very easy with the most experienced and knowledgeable bakers, you know youre getting the best of the best. Their products (whether it be coffee, a cupcake, a whole cake) are truly the the most delicious and of highest quality in and anywhere around Hershey, which says a lot being in Hershey, the chocolate world. I am so grateful that this place exists, I would literally have to drive to Phili to find anything comparable and I recommend them highly to anyone and everyone I know!

Great desserts and great hours. Most bakeries close really early or have nothing for sale after noon, but this place actually offers desserts and bakery items reliably. The porch is nice. I have a tendency to buy “one of each”, so I can say this with confidence, many desserts are spectacular, some desserts are okay, and none are terrible. My only caveat, if calling it goes to a hershey market group phone, it would be nice if it was a direct line.

The desserts are delicious. We got a cake for our anniversary and I came back today to pick up a treat for everyone in my house. The ladies that have helped me have been very kind and personable. Nice quaint little shop.

Great place for events cakes

Im not sure there is ANYTHING they make that I do NOT absolutely love. I usually stop by Deserts, Etc. several times per week, if just for the coffee, but usually end up leaving with some other goodies. Their flavored Baked Oatmeal is one of my favorites and its always fun trying their new flavors. Recently this included Pears and Cream (see photo) and Carrot Cake flavors. I also love their various cup cakes, whoopie pies and other sweet treats. Our DOG even enjoys various treats they have on hand for pets. Their cold brewed nitro coffee is a recent addition and is excellent as well. Locally owned and operated, you cant beat this place for a variety of sweet goodies on Chocolate Avenue.

The young ladies that run this shop and make the desserts are very nice, friendly, and the desserts are delicious. My date and were looking for a place to get dessert elsewhere from where we went to dinner in Hershey. We stumbled upon this cute little place and it was perfect.

Top: peanut butter brownie. Bottom: snicker brownie. We came for whoopie pies but these were still good, not too rich but still good flavor. Quick & friendly service too.

This place is a joke. If the register is short they take it out of the employee tips, which is illegal. Everything is very mediocre with sky high prices so you’d think they could afford to eat a $2 loss on the register but they need to steal it from their employees. Pathetic.

Stopped by last Saturday and bought a large pumpkin stuffed baked oatmeal. Just finished it this morning and have to say it was very very disappointing. The taste was just ok. The bigger disappointment was the size and how it was made. You used to have your baked oatmeal made in a parchment style paper and it was much thicker. Now its in an aluminum foil pie plate with a plastic lid. Is this how youre making them now? The only thing that made the rating this high is the gluten free pumpkin chocolate chip cookies were outstanding.

Very cute atmosphere here, the ladies behind the counter were extremely helpful. We had lattes ( chocolate raspberry flavour, and salted caramel flavour) the cupcakes looked great, I should have gotten one of those too :)

Can’t recommend this place more. Amazing, delicious and huge varieties to choose from. From having custom birthday cakes made to just stopping for coffee and a treat we always walk out so satisfied. The fudge bombs, muffins, and cakes are the best! I also love the gluten free options and they taste amazing as well.

Omg so good! I love it! Everyone was wearing a mask and taking measures to stay safe. I picked up a mouth watering chocolate and peanut butter cake, as well as a chocolate chip cookie dish (i cant remember what it was called) with chocolate mousse, and a brownie dish with peanut butter mousse- devine! I think the Brownie was the favorite, but everything was even better then it looked! Next time, I am getting a fudge bomb... cant wait for the next birthday, so I have an excuse to eat it!
