Randy Marion in Hickory is one of the better used car dealers in the area. The prices aren’t too bad, the selection is pretty good and the staff is helpful. Me and my wife came in knowing exactly which vehicle we want, so I’m not sure how well they would do for someone who isn’t so sure. They were able to get us a super low APR which was half the apr of the bank I’ve been using for 10 years. Overall, great place! 👍

I am SO very pleased with Randy Marion! I was in a sticky situation. On the way home to see my parents from the beach, my car of 4 years broke down! Good selection and everyone is friendly. That being said they will lie to just to get you into a vehicle and get you out the door. If they would have been honest we wouldnt have to scramble around to get the car registered. We have had done all this in the first 30 days, but now im driving on an expired 30 day tag which by the way isnt even legal. Just go somewhere else, period.

So first off I’m self employed getting approved for financing without proof of income is tough it took a while for them to set me up with something that was reliable and so good on gas for towing, I’m very pleased with them but it might take a day to get it if your in a similar situation, thanks to the salesman and the manager for your help and don’t forget the financial manager behind the curtains helping to. We started the process of looking for another SUV for my wife about a month ago. We went by several dealerships and most of the sales people were nice. We received an email from Randy Marion, Sav-A-Lot in Hickory, NC and David Smith invited us to come up there and look at what they had to offer. When we got there we walked inside and everyone there greeted us and spoke to us. No one was pushy, just a warm welcome. We asked for the internet manager (David Smith) and he pointed us to Billy Wilfong, salesman. We explained to him what we were looking for and he took us out to the lot to look at the different models he had. He was very informative and was easy to talk too. He knew all about each vehicle and was able to pull up the Carfax for each. We picked out the one we liked and went inside to talk about options. During this process, Billy was so friendly and easy to speak to. He at no time came over pushy and aggressive (Very important to us). He explained to us everything about the car and said what we was willing to do. We came back with a modified adjustment to his quote and he took it too his sales manager. A few minutes later he came in with a deal folder. We finished up the deal in about 2.5 hours. The fastest I have ever bought a car. There was one thing wrong with our New SUV and he got approval to get that fixed for us at no extra charge.We truly feel we now have a Car Guy for life. Billy was a great pleasure to work with and speak too. He did not try to steer us away at anytime. We had a budget and a plan and he made it work for us. Don’t buy a car a Randy “catfish” Marion in hickory.Horrible place. Horrible experience. The manager at the one in hickory literally needs to be fired. We had a trainee as our salesman. The manager steps in and takes over on the trainee and tries selling us a completely different car. And when we didn’t want to do that she starts telling us how the trainee isn’t going to get commission and all of this extra stuff that has nothing to do with what you’re currently dealing with. They need new management. Even the finance manager agreed with me on that before I walked out of the door.
