Wash and cut was good but this place is not for curly hair. The staff was very nice and the color was good but my haircut is another story. When I sat down to get my haircut I closed my eyes and when I opened them I wanted to cry (when I got home I did cry). I had forgotten why I hate thinning shears (scissors) now I remember. It killed my curls, made them frizzy and all I can think is thank God - my hair grows fast. Moral of the story - if you have curly hair get it cut with someone that specializes in curly hair. With that being said I would return for a wash and color.

Elsy was very good and patient. And did a fantastic job with what I wanted which was a light trim and she didnt cut too much like my other experiences in my past. She was friendly and helpful. The salon is nice and clean and just want I needed.

First of all I don’t get why ANYONE would give this place a bad review! I love coming to Wisdom Salon!!! Every time I come, the Wisdom Salon team never disappoints. Marie did an amazing job on my hair. The color looks great and my hair looks healthier. I highly recommend this place. The team is great and so are the prices!

DO NOT EVER USE THIS SALON FOR MAGIC SLEEK!!!Marie the owner did the magic sleek for my hair on June 15th, 2021. My hair turned green and gold!!!! I sat there for almost 6 hours and I was crying at the end when I saw the color. She tried to blame me and said it was because I didn’t have highlights done like I did the past two years and also because I had a few greys. So she literally blamed me who was the customer, that my hair turned green!!!!! She gave me no apology or offer to come back the next day and she would fix it!!! She said make an appointment and we give you highlights!!! She wouldn’t admit at all and just denied that it was a hideous color with green throughout!! The very next day I had 3 separate consultations with excellent salons and they all said there is no way that it was done correctly if it turned geeen!!! MARIE was the problem, not me or the excuses she gave me. I went back to her and she was still a mean human being when I told her what 3 other professionals said. Nothing!!! Just stared at me and said, “it’s not green!!!” So I lost it and started screaming because how can someone mess up that badly and continue to act like nothing was wrong!!! So I had to spend another $240 to get the green out! Still has to be gold because she DESTROYED my hair and now I have to wait for the gold to wash out!DO NOT USE THIS SALON AND GIVE THAT LADY ANY BUSINESS!!!!!!!!

I got magic sleek to my hair a couple days ago and I am blown away by the results. I just washed my hair and its still pin straight! BEST PLACE EVER. I got my hair done here for magic sleek and my hair is very curly. SO AMAZING! It looks like i got brazillian blowout but better. I highly recommned here. And, some places say they disaneffect but they dont, this place done every chair seat and table. I love this place so much. But there are 2 things you need to know, bring things to do and some food, And be ready for an awesome amazing hairstyle!

If you want to find a place that does hair straightening without formaldehyde that lasts for 5 to 6 months, then try Magic Sleek at Wisdom Salon. You can swim in saltwater & chlorine and it stays as is. Although you have to be in the salon for 4 to 5 hours, its worth it!

I was considering the keratin treatment and I saw that they had a Groupon on it so I just came to read the reviews to see how their treatment is and while going through the reviews, I’m so confused. This place isn’t as bad as the reviews are saying. It’s the complete opposite. When I had gone, they were very accommodating, made my hair healthy and shiny while bleaching it. And my friend went as well, she had originally wanted light hair and they did her hair light but a week later she wanted it to be a little darker, they took her in and changed the color free of charge. I’ve gotten a glaze done and they were amazing. Just friendly people. So these bad reviews are probably from rude people. I understand they’re a business but they’re human. And talented ones as well. If you want to be treated with respect, make sure you show some respect as well. That’s it. All I have to say is don’t be mislead by the negative comments and definitely try this place out cause when I came I got a bit disheartened but I’ve been here multiple times and reviews tend to have that effect but I think they’re literally the best salon and I try different salons all the time!

I have been coming here for about 2 years. Its a clean, but basic shop that is everything you want in a salon. Depending on which day that I come in, my stylists are either Elsy or Alex, both are professionals that work wonders on my curly hair. What I really like about this salon, it that there is no drama happening about me. Everyone gets along. Lastly, they dont push you to buy their hair products

The best colorist Marie the owner always is right on point with my hair and color and Elsy is the best at blowing out and cuts. The prices can’t be beat too! Been going for years and every time I refer they are never disappointed.

This place is ok, went here several times because the prices are good. Had to stop going because several of the stylists were too rough on my hair (naturally extremely thin and vulnerable to damage), one made the rinsing water way too hot, and others yanked the brushes too hard, pulling out too many strands. The times I did go, I did like the look of the final results, but they were just a bit too rough on my hair to go back.

I love this place! I have been their regular customer since they opened. I mostly go to Paola because I love her but everyone there is awesome and I have been to all of them for my hair needs.. For anyone who hasnt tried this place please give them a try! You will not be disappointed!!!

Okay so let’s start at the beginning. I bought a groupon for this place new to the area so I wanted to try a lot different places to you know find the one. This place actually seemed promising a lot of mentions of the stylist Marie on Yelp really excited. So I make my appointment for Valentine’s Day which should have been amazing but I was hospitalized the day before due to a back injury during pregnancy so after I was released I thought I’ll keep the appointment I’ll see how I feel tomorrow after all it was VALENTINES DAY! Unfortunately I was still in pain by the time they called to confirm so I let them know I could not make it, very apologetic and made sure to let them know I’ll reschedule when I feel better. To which then whoever was on the line really was upset. Even made a passive aggressive mark to the extent of thanks for calling and letting us know when clearly I didn’t call I picked up there call. Whatever I kind of chalked that up to a little misstep. No biggie. I call maybe 1-2 weeks later on a Saturday to reschedule and I was told that they don’t take Groupons on the weekend, and Marie will not take a groupon client. Well alright. I guess it’s not worth their time. Idk. I was thoroughly put off at that point. And to be fair on Groupon it does list some of the stylists that are a no go, however no where does it say no weekends. Alright we are at the THIRD attempt to make an appointment today, and I have tried calling 3 times today and it says they are open however no one is even answering the phone. Idk. I’ve been to salons like this and I’m hesitant for this place to even touch my hair because if they right off the bat don’t care for clients especially a potential continual new one, then what would they do to my hair? Really disappointed with the customer service of this establishment.

The magic sleek is really incredible all natural relaxer that worked on my naturally curly hair. I definitely suggest getting your hair done by Marie, shes great and explains the whole process during the consultation.

Cant even begin to say how much I love my hair. I finally found a hair dresser that I cant wait to go back to!! Paola did an AMAZING job on my hair. I wish I could give a higher rating!! I will be back!!!

Buyer beware. I purchased a groupon for Magic Sleek Express. If you read the reviews, people who purchase the groupon do not get the quality and customer service because they make less money. They I that you not purchase the groupon, but they will honor the groupon price taking advantage of groupons advertising, but saving the groupon fee. My hair is a nightmare and will be until it grows out.Wow you just make up whatever you want - I did not ask for the lowest temperature. I asked her to be careful to not fry my baby fine hair. If you think you gave me good service, I hate to think what bad service would be.

I cant believe this place is actually open to the public for business. I showed up for my 6:15 hair appointment. Upon arrival I was barely greeted by any staff. Then they started speaking in Spanish (I am a Spanish speaker) about me and whether or not they were going to take me or other other women that just walked in (without an appointment). Finally they decided to help me. My hair stylist did not say hello to me, or anything else for that matter. She had a look of anger on her face for the entire duration of my visit. I asked for wond curls and there is not one curl in my hair. I feel like I could of done it myself, and I feel I style my hair like a 5 year old.

Saw this place on groupon, called in for an appointment and was suggested to not buy it through there and come right in( didn’t think it was a good idea cause i thought theyd charge me more). If i chose to come here it would be because the reviews werent so bad and neither was the pricing. My hair is a big mess, hence why i was in here in the first place. They started combing my hair before even talking about anything, cool maybe she was busy, but then we did start talking about and just by looking at her face... she realllyyyy didnt want to do my hair. I’m not doing her any favors, in fact i just told her that, they took off the cover and I walked away. She didnt stop me either so I’m sure I was right. What a shame ...drove 30 mins from my house but the bright side is I can go to Ikea lol.

I saw a special for bayalage on Groupon and decided to try this salon. The hairdresser literally teased my hair and brushed it out. It was a horrible experience.

This place is so dirty and the staff is unfriendly and rude. I asked for a root-touch up (on my level ten hair) and for a toner to make my hair silvery-white. I walked out of there yellow buttercup blonde, paired with an awful blow-out. My hair was also left extremely dry. Its partly my own fault for not speaking up about the finished product, but I just needed to get out of there. Stay far far away.

This is by far the worst place ever ... I will never come here ever again. The Spanish lady that had done my keratin did not even tell me her name she really didn’t speak to much English I’m assuming seemed like she had absolute no idea what she was doing to my hair. I felt very uncomfortable. She stop serval Times said she had to use the bathroom as well also the phone had kept ringing she took forever to finish. Very unprofessional

I bought a groupon and when i got there they tried to force me to return it by telling me they would give me a better price. When i refused they told me that i had to pay 50 dollars more then it went to $40 to $30 to $20. Then they said that if i dont return the groupon they cant use any of the good products on my hair. Since i didnt return it they ignored me and went on to other people. They only use the groupons as a way of getting you through the door so they can charge you later. In the end when my haircut was done they ruined my color and the haircut was horrible. The bathroom there was disgusting and i was horrified by what i saw when they took me to wash my hair. The entire place was messy. When water was dripping on my face i asked for a towel. When i got it the towel smelled horrible and had some powder all over it. I asked for another towel and that one had color on it. It doesnt seem like they wash the towels. It cost me a fortune when i went to another place to redo my hair.its not worth paying less here because in the end it actually costs more. Ask around before you go here.

Marie and her staff are some of the best for hair color, if color service is what you seek. Last Tuesday (9/26/2017), I received a color consultation with the owner, Marie, who recommended a root touch up instead of a single process during this appointment. My black roots were outgrown by some 4-5 and the red color, from mid shaft to tips, was completely faded out to light brown; therefore, any new single process color would leave hot roots that mismatched the rest of my hair. Marie really knows what shes doing because she matched the faded red-brown on the dot (only expert colorists have this high degree of color correction skill)! Then, a complimentary hair glaze where Marie kindly threw in some red dye to give the new color the brighter red tone I like AND to protect my hair with a glossy finish. When Angelica blew-out my hair, I was ecstatic over the final color! A week later and its still vibrant.The reason for the complimentary hair glaze was a tiny snafu on Sept. 12 with a new employee, who turned out to be a bit flighty when she decided not to show up. But no worries or fears, here, because Marie is also a fair and wise entrepreneur: not only did she return my money for that appointment, she offered the hair glaze (*every* one who processes their hair in some way, NEEDS this deep conditioning treatment!) for which I came back to the salon on Sept. 26.Whatever their agenda, the negative reviews *do not* reflect this salons ambience, decor or the abilities and attitudes of the personnel. Youre really missing out if you dont give Wisdom Salon a chance. The services are competitively priced from a cut/blow-out to a keratin treatment to straightening. If you take advantage of any Groupon offering, you may even pay less. (I wish I had searched Groupon before my first appointment because the Groupon fine print allows only one offer per new client, in a 12 month period). I dont see myself staying away for that long. Ergo, no 3 Blow-outs with Deep Conditioning Treatment nor Haircut, Full Highlights or Balayage, Deep Conditioning and Blow-out. These can be pricey if done all in one sitting so, learn from my mistake and buy one *right now.* Your hair will love them.

Salon is nice and clean, people were very nice there. Marie did my hair (baylayage and keratin). I showed her a picture of what i wanted. I had a groupon that she was matching the price for, she charged me extra $25 to add a toner because groupon doesnt include that but there was nothing in the fine print regarding that. I didnt want highlights on the top of my head like the picture I showed her and she still put highlights on top of my head. I am okay with how it is, but its not what i wanted.She knew what she was doing, she did a good job, but should have listened to what I was requestingFor keratin, my hair length was somewhere below my shoulder blade and she charged me extra $20/$25 for having long hair, i have gotten keratin treatment from other salons with longer hair length and never had anyone charge extra for it. Will find out how the keratin treatment goes in a few weeks.The charges at the end didnt really add up nor did they show me a breakdown of what they were charging me, but I was done after spending 3 hours there so didnt argue and paid.The total amount I paid wasnt bad due to the groupon price match but could have been less if she didnt add extra stuff on top.Probably not going back to them again

Horrible experience...i went there to get balayage/highlights..i was charged so much for the work they did. I would never go back there. I never had any issues with my hair and their products damaged my hair badly.
