Absolutely love the appetizers, cakes, pastries, and sugar cane juice all freshly made by those friendly guys in the little section in the rear of the grocery. Fruits and vegetables are fresh and well priced. This store is missing a perfect 5-star in my humble opinion as they need to mark their prices on their shelves. Also the meat and fish handlers in the back do not observe cleanliness and not helpful. Their pricing charged is often inaccurate from what is being displayed. It may be honest mistakes, but can be improved if you want to retain repeat customers.

This is a good place to buy international merchandise but the meat market is in the supermarket that they call zabita halal meat its hard to explain what is halal means to these people. Check this picture I attached. Sorry but this is not acceptable...

Find hard to find ingredients for almost every recipe. Produce is always fresh.

Good store for Indian and Pakistani groceries. The farmers market is reasonably priced and in season produce is fresh. They have a halal butcher shop inside the store that provides all kinds of cuts of meat Lamb, Goat, Chicken and Beef. Turkey too around Thanksgiving holiday.

I go there for spices and specialty foods their prices are good the store is clean no complaints.

Very good place for desi asian groceries

I have been here twice and absolutely love it! They have a wide variety of groceries. Its my go to supermarket now for shopping for halal meat and other Desi specialities. I just havent been able to figure out how to register for their rewards program.

Very clean & organized but a little over priced. Management/cashier should monitor situations when customers tend to break the lines or cut the lines.

8/16/21 - Bought these mangoes from Maharaja Hicksville location, first mango had little black spot I removed that part thinking it’s normal but when I sliced 4-5 mangoes all of them had large black spot like in this picture. Myself and my little one ate first mango which was look little better now seen conditions of other mangoes I’m regretting that why I consumed that mango. Tomorrow I will go to the store to speak with Manager and BBB will be notify by selling low quality food to desi community. Please don’t buy this product from Maharaja. Now I know why they are cheap compare to Patel brother’s or other competitors.

This groceries store targets mainly the Indian crowd. You will find vegetables, spices, frozen food, meat and cooking utensils.This store is open 24 hours, so that is a huge advantage. It remains crowded during the evening hours.Overall the store provides good options at reasonable rate.Personally I had couple of bad experiences:1) cooking utensils once bigger cannot be returned, nor they repair.2) dry fruits are not that fresh, I once found a living fly inside a packed almonds. But they replaced that once I showed them the receipt.

I love to go here and buy my fresh produce, but unfortunately their Mango Lassi isn’t fresh. I ended up going to urgent care from having Mango Lassi the day before. It wasn’t fresh and was just sitting there in the display. I thought it was fresh and bought it and the next morning I threw up six times from food poisoning. Also one of my friends bought expired YOGURT! I’m pretty sure they reuse their EXPIRED YOGURT for their Mango Lassi’s so it doesn’t go to waste. You may shop here, BUT DON’T BUY THE MANGO LASSI! Not worth it for food poisoning and wasting $2.99.

I am writing this review to wake many mothers who stuff their toddlers and kids with lot of ghee. The below pictures were taken on 11/30/2018 at 7:54 PM and 7:56 PM. The ghee was expired in the month of MARCH, 2018. Initially, I thought it was left accidentally. But, there were a whole bunch of them on the same shelf in the front row.The face wash below was expired in SEPTEMBER 2018, and is still hanging by the shelf. This is not my first experience, Last couple of times I told the store personnel about the expired products on the shelf. I once myself took all the expired face washes off the shelf and gave them.This clearly shows the negligence and irresponsibility of the management.So, please watch out for the expiry dates before buying something in this store.Thank you.

Amazing cakes by the pastry shop within. Especially Chetan does a phenomenal job... He made cakes for my son on all special days and I keep going back to Chetan for more cakes. Very nice and friendly is Chetan.

I go to Maharaja Farmers Market often to do my groceries. It has great selection of fruits, vegetables and meat items. I also love their snack items which they sell fresh.

One of the best run Indian grocery stores in Queens/Long Island region. 1. Clean 2. Wide aisles and neatly stocked shelves. 3 Employees are easily identifiable in uniform. 4 plenty of parking space. 5Fast & Courteous cashiers. 6 Reasonable prices . 7Coffee & Snacks shop inside. (The bathrooms are dirty like the other grocery stores with Indian aroma 😬)

Great place to shop for fresh produce. Very organized, clean, and relaxing shopping experience. Nice selection of fresh produce and imported cheeses. Fast and accurate checkout. Theres a really good food bar in the back that i recommend too. Everything on their menu, especially their spicy fried chicken and samosas are great. They also have desserts. If you like traditional style flavors, this place is a real treat.

Best place for indian grocery

Roti packet has mold and still on the shelf. I noticed the mold while paying at the cashier.Instead of replacing the packet, the rude cashier told me that it is my fault that I picked the expired item from the shelf.

I call it Mini India. You can pretty much get most of the stuff you are looking for.

They have a nice and clean halal meat shop inside. Malik is very helpful and great. Awesome guy and never had any problems with him.

I walked out without buying anything. The produce wasnt fresh, there was no organic produce either. The one and only long line wasnt worth waiting on.

This was waste of time lol as I am strict Vegitarian from religious faith and Diabetes. Reason I was sorry as Name Maharaja which fooled me this store is not for me.nice place, busy,prices higher then Patel Brothers.

I used to thought this store is economical than Patels or Apna Bazar. But now the Prices for Vegetables,lentils, spices and even rice are way higher than other store quality also normal nothing great. Toor dal 3 99 for 2lb... lol thats way much price compare to other store.. I used to get 4.99 for 4 lbs.. possible please avoid this store. Taking advantage of COVID-19...

A very good grocery store full of South Asian groceries. One gets all types of vegetables, fruits, pulses, rice, wheat, oils, herbs and many other kitchen items.The rates are reasonable and the staff is helpful. The store is having well maintained inventories and the supplies are regular.

Nice and clean Indian Grocery store. Very nice helpful staff. Prices are not vert high even less than some other stores. They have all types of Lentils. Frozen stuff. Fresh Fruits and Veges. Whole wheat cookies etc. They have Utensils too.

I go there for some specialties like white cheese and Turkish olives. One thing bothers me that they pay much attention toCovid19 issue.They should provide hand sanitizer to customers and cashiers at least plus to wearing masks

Most females who work at the checkout have the worst attitude problems. They like to gossip, make fun of customers and even reply very unprofessionaly. This is an incredible grocery store! They have such a large variety of specialty products and produce. To top it off, they are extremely affordable and keep the place in top-notch shape.

Vegetables are good . Limited fruits. Meat department ppl are very rude while you standing there they will completely ignore you. Mostly they are on there phones.

Cashier ladies are terrible. Put wrong prices and when ever I told them check it out then they started gossip with another lady and never care customer in front of them.They are very careless.

It gets a bit too crowded on the weekends but theres a lot of options and variety while you shop. You can find anything you need and it encourages you to try new things.

I have a question for the owner. I and I know many customers observe that Their store is very cold during the winter and very hot during the summer.last week I asked their cashier she told me they dont have an air conditioner(ac) and heater.!! is it a joke.!?? Even I told them a couple of times the customer feels unbearable but they didnt fix it yet.! Therefore, the customers problem are not important to them.!

I am regular customer of maharaja farmers market. It’s a very good experience to shop there because I like to shop there.I always come in the morning time for the last 4 yrs. Morning staff is very helpful specially that girl who always help me to find the things and give it to my hands. Her name is Ritu and she’s very friendly, helpful, and well mannered girl. I am giving maharajah 5 out 5 reviews because of her. When I come to shop in the evening I do not get the same experience.

Prices in Maharaja are much inflated .when I asked to return even the sealed items or store credit they refuse to do so. They ripping off innocent Indians. They claim this is the policy in all the stores in Hicksville. I checked myself no policy I found like this in other stores. I will advise check the prices carefully before you shop from Maharaja. They deserve no rating.

It has mostly everything I need for my household. I love cooking so most of my grocery is done from this place. The produce are reasonably priced. Variety of spices, lentils, pasta and other things can be found. Plus you can find halal meats at this place. There are also marinated chicken, mutton and minced meat.

I love shopping here. Before you even get inside, there are bargains, usually produce, all of which is affordable and always beautiful. The spices, oh, the spices. The only drawback is for a kitchen in need of a small amount. Though a significantly wider variety than the supermarket, there are no small packages. Great selection in beans, rice, & tea, too, and some cookware (picked up a mortar and pestle at a great price). Ive also found the prices on nuts & seeds to beat other stores.Staff is friendly, store is clean, prices are budget-friendly. Well worth a visit.
