85% of the meals/shakes/oats that Ive gotten are 4 out of 5 or better and reheat well even if frozen. There is about a two week fridge-life on these and since I buy them weekly that is more than enough; otherwise they can always be frozen. I only buy the low sodium ones cause as others have mentioned the salt can get out of hand on some of them. I find the only way to avoid that is to cook from scratch at home which obviously isnt possible for most so here we are. Pre-ordering online (before midnight on Sunday for the following week) is the best way to get a good deal and saves me about $3 a meal compared to buying in person. The walk-in option is great for the weeks I forget to buy or need a few extra meals. Certain dishes (shrimp, etc) have an additional fee (.25 - 1.00)which is fair and understandable. I enjoy these meals and have recommended to three people so far.
It is the worst place to work. They onlyey give you one day of training then your on your own and they try to train over the phone or text message & then they dont sit down with you & discipline you they do it over email on your day off & then bc you dont answer bc your waiting to discuss your disciplinary action with someonethen you get another email on your next day off firing leadership did not have the professionalism to talk to you face to face then the owner micromanage threw watching cameras & texting you pics of what you did wrong
I really love the guy working here, the idea of the business is awesome and HMD has great social media, but it just doesn’t work for me right now. The servings are a little small, but acceptable. The choices are awesome. The ingredients don’t always seem to match up with the healthy goals I expected from the name of the company, BUT the macros are alright so that was not a big issue to me. My main issue: The food is pretty good for the first day or two, but after that the quality goes down pretty fast. By the end of the week, I’m forcing it down my mouth and threw out the last meal. They were not past expiration so they were still safe to eat, it was just unpleasant. I could buy daily, but that’s a significant premium over their “bulk” offerings. At that point it’s almost the same price for me to just eat out daily. If there was ever an option like: purchase meals at the same price point as a bulk order, BUT pick up 2 fresh meals daily instead of picking up 15-28 at once, I’d 100% be into that.Overall a solid 3/5 stars with room to improve. I’d like better quality of ingredients and I’d like to see an ordering system like I suggested above because the food quality degrades faster than I can be satisfied with.
After many many months of looking at the menu, I finally stopped in and got a few meals. Some were good and some were bad. The sodium content seems to be on the high side for me to be considered healthy and that’s why I was hesitant to purchase for months. The reason I’m giving such low review is the the overall taste. The portions are good. And the last meal I had, the brown rice was bad (smelled foul and tasted sour) even though it was 6 days before the expiration date. I really wanted it to work bc this was my last option for pre-packaged meals.
The guy at the front counter was super pleasant and helpful. He offered suggestions, since there were so many items to choose from. Definitely will be my go to spot going forward.
Great food and healthy to the Cauliflower bowls are so good and very low in calories. Keto friendly!!
The food was very good and the gentleman at the counter was very kind and helpful. However the reason for my average review is they have a blue lives matter flag, kind of a turn off i want to go to an inclusive place so I’m not sure if I’m going back there.
Great food, affordable, and good customer service
