Oh my God so many negative reviews about the customer service and I am here to second that. The older Asian guy needs to be understanding to his customers. He can manage things well but someone needs to tell him to not to be that sharp with customers.

Asian server is abrasive and rude. Please avoid this Carvel like the plague in Highland Park, NJ. My advice find another place. I hope main headquarters sees this review and make changes quickly. Kids should not see or experience this type of behavior. If there was a Negative star I would have given.

Wonderful Carvel location! It is both a clean establishment and the management is very accommodating. I have had both an ice cream cone as well as ordering custom ice cream cakes and have been nothing but pleased. They do such a great job on picture cakes. Charles is a pleasure to deal with! With many Carvels to choose from, this one takes the cake for me:)

Its not often you can have a bad time buying ice cream. But the guy who runs this store has managed to make it one. Will not return

That older Asian guy in the store should really understand how to communicate with customers,, extremely sorry but I had to give a one star..ice cream was ok but first you need to understand your customer..I will not at all recommend anyone to go to this franchise of Carvel..

This place is really horrible. Very bad customer service. The guy inside is very rude and very cheap. When you go there just pay attention to his attitude and the way he hands you the taste if he ever gives a taste. He barely put some on the spoon if u get a chance to taste. Also, if u ask a question about any flavor, he will tell you DONT YOU READ. I went there three times and every time I leave without buying anything. Why I went three time? Cuz I wanted to give him a chance that he might had a bad day. But no, that how rude he is. I dont recommend this place. I am about to contact the corporation. Good luck at this place.

This is the best Carvel place! Great ice cream, great service, never out of topping and I always get a parking spot rite outside the store.

Clean location, friendly environment, and a very nice owner who really seems to put his heart into the ice cream he makes. It was an overall great experience.

Its a charming little ice cream shop with great ice cream and good customer service 👍👍 And no it is not expensive, I have been robbed so to speak at other ice cream joints, this place isnt one of them! Eat and enjoy 😊🍨🍧🍦

Aweful service. They have a $10 minimum card purchase. (Who does that at this day in age.) Their soft serve melts before is in your hand.

Terrible customer service, went in to only be told that I cannot taste more than 3 flavors when I hadnt made a choice on icecream flavor. Any other carvel lets you try as many flavors, was embarrassed in front of my friend because of the manager Charles who does not know how to satisfy a customer even when he has been a loyal customer for a long time. Never going back.

While Carvel is usually great, the man who runs this store is an awful person. He is rude, obnoxious and made an anti-semetic remark.

The guy working here is rude and acts as if he does not care. Bluntly told us that we need to have a 20$ or smaller bill and wont take our order. Customer service gets them 1 star

Overall: great store with nice service and inviting atmosphere.Review: I think the carvel ice cream store was really nice. It should be noted that this was the first carvel store Ive ever been to so I can only compare it to similar ice cream stores (i.e. Coldstone, Ritas, etc.).The store is small so dont bring a soccer or baseball team here unless you like tight spaces. There is some, keyword some, seating outside of you feel too crowded in the store or just want to enjoy some fresh air. Unbeknownst to me there was a $10 minimum for credit cards. On a positive note it just made me try another or doubt of theirs (mini Oreo sandwiches very good!)The ice cream itself is very smooth and creamy, more so than cold stone in my opinion, but you cant mix the toppings in like cold stone. However, they do have the quintessential toppings that most ice cream stores have so thats a definite plus.There isnt a parking lot so you have to park on the street (which is free!).For a small privately owned store it was well maintained and the owner took extra care to feel like the customer was his only priority. Definitely recommend to anyone whos in highland park and wants a cold, sweet treat!
