Late last year 2020 Me and my family needed to get away during the pandemic we happend to go to Hilton Head . I am a kid who loves to ride bikes I rented a bike and every day for that whole week I would ride up to the hardware store and go visit to see the big white dog Maverick the owners there were so kind and caring I had a great experience they had so many great products and will definitely be going back

We started coming to Cologne Hatdeate 6 years ago and loved the store. Wooden floors, long aisles with the biggest selection of things you couldn’t find anywhere else. We would spend at least a half hour or more going aisle by aisle to shop. We were in today at their new True Value Hardware site and was out in 5 minutes. It was a bunch of little square rooms with very little selection and didn’t find anything marked “True Value. Great disappointment and when the owner asked us why, very poor Customer service or concern.

99% of the time, If you need something, they have it.

Update. I hate this but I tried to shop there again in July 2021. They were never open whenever I went by about 3 or 4 times during July 4 week. So I decided to buy shirts on line. I called with no response. No t-shirts arrived on my doorstep despite them being sold on line and my credit card was charged. So as of August 6 2021 I am disputing the charge to get my money reimbursed. So sad they would could not be contacted by phone or through their Facebook page. I just hate it.September 2020: Love you Maverick. And love my new tshirt! 20% of proceeds of this little store goes to canine cancer research! This is the best shop on HH island!

Ms. Castelli and her dog, Maverick, are wonderful people. They are both very sweet and welcoming. On top of that, their store has all sorts of clothing, souvenirs, and other items along with hardware. Highly suggest you visit Maverick and Ms. Castelli. Lovely place!

Beth and Maverick are the best sales staff!!!!

They were very helpful. We had seen folks crabbing with a basket off a pier and wanted to try. The associate helped us find the right equipment and some chicken bait. She even set up our basket, weight & rope for us. Maverick the dog was pleasant as well.

Everyone should visit Maverick and his sweet owners when on the island.. one of our favorite places..

The female owner? was very nice. The big fluffy white clifford sized dog did give us a scare in the back when I was looking for a washer and nut. My kids and I have a good story to tell now. Great scary experience. :)

The owner is soooooo sweet. The dog is sooo cute! They also had shirts in my size, which made me happy. Buying the White Dog clothes helps fund research for canine cancer, which is great. Its also a good place to buy souvenirs.

Really disappointed to be posting a negative review of this store. My husband and I have been coming for 10 years to rent fishing poles and do misc. shopping, even after their relocation. The female owner and the dog are very kind and sweet, but this year when we were in the husband was incredibly rude to us (we had never met him in the past). He made snarky comments to my husband and was unwilling to show us things we asked to look at, enough that we had to leave. We unfortunately will not be coming back :(

We love Beth and maverick ! She was so sweet to help my son find the right size of shirt. My family looks forward to coming to the store every year!
