We were staying in the area for the month and went there to get a seasonal tune up for our bikes. The price was fair and service was quick, friendly and excellent. When we went to pick our bikes up we asked about having someone look at our bike seats to see if they needed to be adjusted etc. Laura, who we think is an owner, spent a lot of time with us explaining how much seats have changed since we got our bikes 15+ years ago. Laura measured us for a seat and then we tried out a few seats on our bikes riding around the store and settled on new ones. After riding our bikes for a few days I decided the choice I made for a seat was probably not the best one for me. We called Laura who said bring your bike back in and I will exchange the seat for the other one you liked. Great customer service. Thanks to the whole crew at Cross Country Cycle.

We are new to the bicycling world and went in with lots of questions. We were specifically looking for bike trainer. We had all our questions answered and never felt pressured to purchase anything. Very down to earth people. Will definitely use exclusively for our bicycle shop. We did end up buying the trainer.

I hit a bump in the road and my bike frame broke. I had a couple paint deep scratches from just above the crack that were not dents at all but just scratches. Without even making an effort to get Specialized to warrant the frame, Laura judged me a liar and said there was an impact there that caused the fracture. I have never hit anything on my bike or been hit by anything. Thats $2,000 down the drain because Laura doesnt care enough for her customer to at least attempt to get Specialized to take care of me. As if that wasnt enough, I asked for an estimate for a repair and Laura said she would call me Monday with the estimate. 12 days later, having received no call, I went to the shop and inquired about my bike and she said, Oh ya, there are some notes on the bike. Let me look. They dont even call you back! There are too many bike shops in Holland to have to put up with this low quality of service.

Awesome experience today get my bike fixed after a chain break that also led to necessary derailleur cable and cassette work. Thank you Craig and team for the quick work right before a big trip. Great selection of parts in store too.

Cross Country Cycle is the best bike shop in town! So helpful and friendly! We came in from out of town and wanted to rent a bike to ride the awesome bike trails nearby. I called ahead of time and Laura listened to what we needed and recommended the perfect bike for the trails. They were closed on Sunday, but she left the bike outside for us to pick up. The next time were in town, well definitely be back to CCC. Thank you!!

We have six bikes at our home and Cross Country Cycle has always provided great service with tubes, tires, brakes etc. 3 people in our family had uncomfortable seats and the folks at this shop have been especially helpful with getting them fitted for the right size of seat. The change in ride comfort was amazing for all three.

We drove 2 1/2 hours to Holland to ride your bikes and use the trail. One employee did not have a mask on! The young guy who helped us we thought was knowledgeable about the trail and very helpful. Unfortunately he gave us a terrible woman’s bike which we would hope no one else would ever experience. The entire 13 mile ride was spoiled as the gears changed constantly causing a jerky, unpleasant ride. After telling him about it on our return, he even admitted he knew about the issues with the bike, yet still rented to it us. It spoiled a nice birthday. No, they did NOT offer a refund!

Outstanding sales and service!! I wasnt sure (at all!) what kind of bike I was looking for but had heard from 2 other women that I should see Laura. So I did and I am so glad I did! She helped me through the entire process of purchasing and fitting my new bike. Her encouragement to ride on the Wednesday night bike rides to Felt mansion provided me just the motivation I needed. Her generous gift of her time on these Wednesday nights just shows again how passionate she is about promoting cycling. Because of those Wednesday night rides and the encouragement of the other women riders I was able to successfully complete 36 miles of the Holland 100. That was my goal this year. I would highly recommend Cross Country Cycle to anyone!!

I share Heidi VKs concern - staff was not wearing masks and there was no shield at the register. It made both my wife and I uncomfortable. Unfortunately I did not see any sign(s). Like Heidi I will not be back in the foreseeable future.Perhaps the owner would like to share what the sign says?Wear masks because it is the right thing to do for your customers.

We had two bikes picked out to buy! We had great help from one of the employees, a young man.An older woman came in. She mayhave been an owner, or she thought she was. She told the employee, Oh no those bikes are being donated. They were on the floor for sale!!She had absolutely no concern for customer service and made no attempt to make it right. She wouldnt even make eye contact.I do business in the Holland area, and will spread the word. A rating of one is way too generous!!

All the staff there is very friendly. Very helpful as well. I brought them some wheels and had them build them. Did a very good job. I also dropped off my bike to get serviced. This is my go to place. I prefer this shop over any others in the holland area. Prices werent bad either.

I needed a way to carry my lunch, camera, book, jacket and water on my bike. Yesterday I rode to Cross County Cycke, on Ottawa Beach Rd./Division and bought a bikerack and what is called a Trunkbag. It is rear-mounted, padded black canvas bag on a back rack This rack is set up with special construction that allows this bag to easily slide on and off, if I want to take it in the house. This bag is water-resistant canvas and it has several light-colored reflective strips as well. I had already calculated just what I need to carry in it and then when I worked one-on- one with the owner of the bike shop, and she sized up my needs and quickly recommend this perfect system. I really liked working with her - a very savvy and knowledgable woman. This is a family-owned/run, local business and just the kind of business I prefer to spend my money at, even if it means I am spending more. I choose to spend my money where my values are and this was an opportunity to do just that. She was able to recommend exactly what I needed and was looking for, but I just didnt know it at that time.I paid more than I had wanted to spend but the quality of this system is very, veryhigh and it should last the rest of my life! I also bought an odometer so I can track my mileage.They installed this rack, bag and odometer right then and there (The mechanic was working on another project so mine was second in line so I waited an hour and 45 minutes but it was worth it to me.) And, I did not have to wait formy husband to install it as that wait would have been months if not years…This was a no charge install of all three items, so it was worth the wait.  I am really glad this is what I ended up with. I plan to spend a LOT more time on my bike now. I need the calories burned and the bike does not hurt my bum knee and is not so hard on my fragile bones either like walking hard on cement is.

These guys are awesome! We are from Chicago, and stopped in here on Saturday morning to rent bikes. Dave spent a good amount of time with us and making sure we had bikes that fit. We were planning to rent aluminum bikes since they are less expensive, but a carbon bike fit me better, so they gave it to us for the aluminum price, which was really great. Dave was clearly super knowledgable, and very nice.The bikes were awesome, and super reasonably priced. They had maps at the store and great recs as to where we should spend the day. We were late getting back to the store, and they were so nice and stayed opened just for us so we could return the bikes.We will be coming back here again!!

Excellent bike shop! I recently had to get a cable replaced on my bike and Cross Country took care of it. Everyone there was super helpful and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this shop if you ever need anything related to bikes. The hours are good. The prices are good.

This is a Big store, bigger than most stores Anywhere its so big, one area is dedicated to indoor test rides, Just pull a bike out and take off. And it is full. Big selection of mostly Everything. Lots and lots of accessories, from bells to racks. Its family owned, even the kids and grandpa work there and they All know their products and the sport.Competitive prices. They sell mostly Specialized but do offer others to lesser degree. They offer rentals too

This place provided excellent service for us as tourists to Holland. They rented us bikes for 24 hours for 15 dollars. Helmets and locks included. We were able to choose the style of bike and they let us take a test ride. They gave us a map and told us some places to bike and showed us the flat and hilly routes.

The customer service was outstanding! The staff stayed on almost an hour past closing on Friday to help my wife and me find the perfect bikes and teach us about their care/maintenance. Incredibly friendly and helpful. And the perfect place to buy a bike for your kid (not there yet)!

First visit and got exactly what I wanted. Brand new Sun Drifter 7. Got some stronger wheels that will support my weight. Very pleased with all the staff.

I bought my bike here years ago. Outside of long waits for service, theyve been a pretty good place. That is, until recently. Now Ive downgraded my review.In the middle of a pandemic they expect their customers to ask the employees to practice basic safety measures, recommended by the CDC and WHO. Sadly, when you follow leaders who dont believe in basic science this is what happens. You put the lives of your customers at risk. None of their employees wore masks. Yes, they had a sign that said they all have masks and you need to ask them if you want them to wear one. That is not my job. If you want to be open during a pandemic, you wear a mask. Ive been to two other local bike shops and guess what? They follow basic, standard, well accepted medical safety practices, without making some unfounded claim about it being a fear issue.That is unacceptable and I thought it was against state guidelines for reopening. It is especially disappointing from a company that is supposed to be concerned about the health of their community. I will not be returning.

We went in last night about 5 minutes before closing. Didnt mean for this to happen, but with experience working in customer service, Ive always believed that if someone is in the door before you close then they are fine. They seemed to be rushing us out and we werent really able to look around. The prices are high, no deals or sales at all. They really only carry Specialized so if thats your thing, youre golden. The last thing that really upset me was the snide comment the worker made about our dogs. May seem silly, but when asking him if they carried the ride behind dog caddy he replied with yes but if your dog fits in that then you dont have a real dog. To me that clearly isnt great marketing on the product and it definitely cost them a sale. My boyfriend and I will not set foot in this shop again.

Am an avid biker and have shopped there for a couple of years. Merchandize is ok. Staff is friendly. Service from management/owners seemed fine at first, but as time went on, noticed a problem with meeting commitments. Complained about it, but no improvement. Became a really major problem for us when we would expect work to be done (because a commitment was made) and it would just not be done. Clearly, this team is only happy if you are willing to accept the level of work they want to provide, not what the customer wants provided. We expect more. Far more satisfying to shop elsewhere.
