In short; choose this shop if youd like to pay someone to leave your bike in worse condition than it arrived.Long Story: I purchased a new set of wheels from WMBF Holland and paid them to install the set. Within the first mile of my first ride I got a flat. While fixing the flat, I saw that the rim strip that was supposed to protect the innertube from the spoke holes was poorly installed so it did not protect the innertube at all. I also noticed a feature about the rim that I hadnt before (it was asymmetrical).While it was back in the shop getting the rim strips reapplied, I researched asymmetrical rims and realized the front wheel was built backwards (Treks fault; not WMBF). When I asked the techs, they insisted it was correct. I had to call Trek myself to confirm that the rim was built incorrectly. Trek sent a replacement to the shop, but it was built incorrectly as well. WMBF used this as evidence that they were right all along.Thinking I was going crazy, I again called Trek and they confirmed that the ORIGINAL AND REPLACEMENT were both incorrect and recommended that I return the wheelset and look for a different product.WMBF did refund me for the cost of the wheelset and the installation of only one of the two wheels. They also removed the parts from the wheels and bagged them up for me (although all the parts fell out of the bags and got mixed together). I walked out of the store the last time having paid $40 essentially to have my bike disassembled.When I went to put the bike back together, I did not have a rear skewer (the rod that holds on the back wheel).Overall, an awful experience.

Troy was So accommodating, they had the bike I wanted and everything was handled over the phone .Will the Covid 19 shutdown still in place, Troy made sure the Electra Townie bike I purchased was already when i came to Pick It Up . Poor service I got hung up on the phone when calling to get my bike fixed. Not able to get the bike fixed in a timely fashion last time I went there they told me it would be two weeks before they can even look at it I use my bike everyday for work thats not practical not everybody can wait that long. Most people are working everyday I dont see the reason for the holdup. If it took me that long to get stuff done I wont have a job anymore. The coronavirus is just a excuse.

Brought bike in to have a new rear wheel centered in my framed front and rear wheels trued, I had heard good things. Unfortunately true job was sub par and rear wheel was out of center after a mile of MTB ridding...how is that even possible! probably good for beach cruisers...I really need to find a wheel smith in the area.

Went in for a tuneup and new tires for my 2011 Trek and left with a better, faster bike and a trusted place to do business. Staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. New building and location are very nice with lots of room to park.

Not everyone can get service like this I’m sure, but my boy was in need of a complete build on a Top Fuel 9.9 for Nationals the day we had to depart. Fastest, and most knowledgeable service I’ve seen in quite some time. I recommend everyone who has a mechanical issue needing service to make a visit. I don’t believe you’ll be disappointed.

The go-to place for all things Trek! Excellent shop, great selection, friendly staff. I purchased my street bike (Trek 7.2) from them several years ago, and have had nothing but a great experience ever since. Bike shops run very tight margins on the bikes themselves, so dont go in looking for a outrageous deal, but fear not - West Michigan takes great care of their customers, and the pleasant experience with them is well worth the $50 or so you might save going online or to a big box store for a Trek. I have nothing but fantastic things so say about this shop, so I will end my review here! If youre looking for Trek, or any bike, this is the place!

Just purchased my first Terra Trike from West Michigan Bike, I had great service, super helpful, they are very knowledgeable and great to work with. We felt no pressure to purchase, they even let us ride the bike around the store. Definitely going there in the future for all my cycling needs!

We stopped in while vacationing in Holland after one of our bikes had a loose bolt in the handlebars. They were so nice and let us use their allen wrench to get back on the road. The next day, I ended up needing a better seat after riding more than usual and they were helpful in the decision making process, and quick to install it while we waited. Great experience!

The people at West Michigan are on top of things. Very knowledgeable about all their products and products that they dont even sell. I bought a TerreTrike Traveler from them. I brought it home and took it back for some minor adjustment and was planning on leaving it, they said hang around well do now ! Of course while I waited I bought some accessories which they willingly put on free.Another time I had a tire that wouldnt hold air ............... fixed it while I waited ! They may not always be that fast. I was in there buying a Trike in early April when there was still snow on the ground. Not may customers that time of the year !GREAT bunch of people there that know their stuff ...........

I drove 4 hours from Wisconsin just to buy a new Trek Farley 5 fat bike from West Michigan Bike & Fitness in Holland, MI :) I used to live in Holland but moved to Milwaukee, WI. I went to a competitor in Milwaukee, who has nice folks but recommended I buy an undersized bike they had in-stock (19” frame), rather than order a 21.5” like the bike I’ve been riding for 5 years. “It’s close, it should work.” Bro... I called WMBF and they got me setup with the right fit and options I wanted over the phone, said they’ll have everything ready in store when I get there in a few days.In their Holland store, not only did I get friendly service (like “we’re old family friends” level service, even though I’m a stranger who just occasionally bought socks and serviced his 2013 bike at their store), but they assembled and helped me install the new roof-mounted thru-axle bike rack I purchased from them, installed my new pedals and cleats, THEN helped me properly mount my new bike on top of my vehicle. Unreal how incredible the folks at West Michigan Bike & Fitness in Holland are.So to summarize: 4 hour drive around Lake Michigan just to buy a bike, pedals and roof rack? Totally worth it. I know where I’ll be buying my next bike now, too.Thanks!

Bought a bike on amazon and rushed the assembly. Needless to say, I screwed up a piece and got it jammed. They fixed it up no problem and for a lot cheaper and faster than I thought. Nice staff too.

Friendly staff, but I cant trust the quality of the work. I had a new chain put on, major shifting issues afterward. Brought it in to have them confirm everything was done correctly, they said it was.I then brought it to Alger Bikes in Wyoming. They found that the chain was put on backwards, and that the derailleur tension screws had been set to the max. This was causing the chain to fall off.

My experience was terrible! The young man that helped us was errogant and seemed like I was putting him out by asking questions. My dad was with me and asked a question that had already been asked and the young man responded rudely and sarcasticly. This was Memorial weekend on Saturday, and we had been to several other bike shops doing research before making a big purchase. I would not recommend this place to anybody and if they dont train their help to be respectful, they wont be in business long. I had a similar experience at the location in Kentwood. I wont be back.
