I love the Homewood UBreakifix location. The staff is friendly and very knowledgeable. Their customer service is like none other. They are the Chick-fil-a of technology!!! The Store Lead JR is so professional and attentive. I recommend any and everyone to use them for your technical needs!
I love this place! uBreakiFix fixed my cracked phone screen once, and that was fascinating to watch. But twice now, including today, I had to take a stuck phone case to them. Even though todays was super-hard to fit onto my phone, the young man did it with no complaints and then refused to take my money. YOU ALL ARE LIFESAVERS -- and so very agreeable, thoughtful, and helpful! I recommend you to everyone who asks.

Did a good job fixing my phone.
I brought in a MacBook Pro and an iPad Pro a week ago to get screens fixed per an appointment I made online. I later got “we are sorry we missed you” emails that evening, indicating that I had somehow not been put into the system. I responded to one of the emails explaining that I had dropped off my products for repairs and asking for confirmation that the job had been logged into the system. Over the next week I also tried calling the number listed for the office multiple times and never got an answer. They have also not set up voicemail, so I could not leave a voice message. I went to the national website and tried leaving a comment requesting help. I did this twice, and both times after I hit submit the website indicated that it had received my name and email address, but not received any comment. I then tried calling the number for the national office but gave up after being on hold for about 30 minutes with no sign of any change. I then drove to the Homewood office on Monday during what were their normal business hours only to arrive and find a sign of new temporary store hours indicating that the store was closed on Monday. Per the new temporary hours it would be open Tuesday afternoon starting at 1. I am currently sitting in my car outside the store on Tuesday at 1:20, where I have been for 25 minutes, and the Homewood store is still closed. This is completely unacceptable. I have left thousands of dollars worth of my property in your care and have been unable to get in touch with you through multiple different avenues over the course of a week, including driving to your store twice when it was supposed to be open. I don’t even want my iPad and MacBook fixed at this point. I just want my property back. Given there is apparently no other way to reach you, I am hoping someone will at least see this review and get in touch with me. If that does not happen soon and I am still unable to get in touch with anyone, then I will consider involving law enforcement if necessary to get my property back.
WTMF...talk about the WORST service Ever received...Sorry Im too busy to help. Go find another store was basically what I was told by the guy who worked there. Didnt even bother to minse words but Flat out REFUSED to do ANYTHING. I dont know if its the employees or their EMPLOYERS but I will be investigating what in the flock of Blackback Blackcaps is WRONG with these guys
Dropped my phone off to have have screen replaced and it was ready in a few hours. (Note 20 Ultra) Theres zero evidence that the screen was replaced and its functioning like a brand new phone. Highly recommend

The lightning port on my iPhone was missing a pin and Apple said they didn’t fix that. Hoping I could get by without a new phone yet I sent a Facebook message to uBreakiFix and they responded that they do replace the port and gave me a price. I dropped it off and the said an hour to an hour and a half. I went back at an hour and a half and it was fixed and works great.
I took my son PlayStation 4 to Ubreakifix because it was overheating. The staff is very helpful and professional. The prices are reasonable.

Need to update your hours on your website and Google maps so people know not to come when you are closed. You are wasting peoples time and gas. They do not open till 1pm

They cloned my 1tb hard drive on my laptop to a 2tb and installed it. This was after BestBuy Geek Squad turned me down and told me they are not allowed to move programs from on drive to another due to policy restrictions. Very happy with the service and price.

I had an IPhone 8+ with a shattered face. I was trading in my phone for a new one. I needed it fixed so my son new of this place so I took it there. They did an excellent job for the price they quoted. I would have to give them a 5!

I brought my phone in on March 4th to have my screen replaced. After having my screen replaced my phone started turning itself off and on while making calls and while on the charger. Currently I’m missing the majority of incoming calls as callers are advising that they’re being sent to voicemail after the first ring. Before I came in to replace the screen my phone was working fine. I called and returned to the store several times. I was originally told that the film on my phone was the reason that I was experiencing trouble, because it was covering the sensor. The second time I came in they put the phone on a diagnostic machine and rediagnosed the issue as something different than the film covering the sensor. I was told that if they had known about the issue (which I can’t recall as I’m not technical and wasn’t familiar with the jargon)when putting the screen back on they would have corrected the problem then. They refused to fix my phone and I was advised to go to Apple store to repair. I felt it should have been corrected there because I didn’t have my screen fix at the Apple store and the problem occurred after Unbreak Fix replaced my screen
Shattered my phone screen this afternoon. I called and they said they could replace it immediately and it would take about an hour. I dropped it off and less than an hour later my phone was fixed and as good as new. I would highly recommend this company for fixing any phone issues that you may have.
I went into this store on Sunday and the person working there told me that I could not get my phone fixed because I got my screen replaced in another city when the policy is literally listed on your website. my phones repair is still under warranty. He did not even know your companies policies, he did not perform a diagnostic and seemed disinterested and unhelpful. I will NEVER go back to this location again.
My screen was cracked and my phone was clicking on random things and hard to control. I came in when they opened at 10 and my phone was done 30 minutes later. This place was cheaper than nearby locations. I’m very pleased. With the service!!! Thanks Elliott!
Very polite in person and on phone. But, they aren’t honoring appointments. I called last week and they said I could drop by, but they recommended I schedule an appointment. So I dropped by, there was a 3 person wait outside in the cold (only 1 allowed in at a time for social distancing purposes). It was too cold to wait for hours so then I did what they told me and scheduled an appointment so I wouldn’t have to wait. I showed up for appointment, but they told me they couldn’t honor the appointment because they had too much leftover work from the weekend, and that the appointments *aren’t* really recommended, that really “we are usually a drop-in business”. I would have to wait 2-2.5 hours instead of the 1-1.5 they had told me when I scheduled, which is the whole reason I bothered with the appointment process. Now they’re saying maybe I can drive over again this afternoon “to see if maybe we can get you in”. If they had just been honest about everything to begin with I wouldn’t have had wait for them, waste my time leaving work and driving in, and would have had this fixed days ago elsewhere. Appreciate their safety measures and polite staff but totally put off by them lying about about appointments being worth anything and wasting my time.
Part of my phone charger got stuck in the charging port and they just pulled it out for me free of charge! Super friendly and quick. Highly recommend!
Ok, so I had a Nintendo Switch that died one day and wouldn’t turn back on. I looked up a lot of stuff online to try and fix the problem on my own but when all failed I went to this place. I will say, the guy I talked to when I dropped off my Switch was very helpful and very polite. He told me he thought it was the battery and said he’d order one and that it should be in the store in 4-5 days. I left my Switch and went about my day. After a week of not hearing anything I went back to check in. I was told it wasn’t in yet and that they’d call me when it was and rushed out of the store. It was a different man who was MUCH less friendly. After another week of not hearing anything I decided to check in again. I was told then they had gotten the battery and checked it and it didn’t work so it must just be fried and it couldn’t be fixed. I was handed my Switch and again rushed out the door. They were very rude and didn’t communicate with me at all about other options or what had happened. I have no idea how long the battery had been there or for how long they’ve had this information. All I know now is apparently the Switch is is broken beyond repair for some mysterious reason. The only reason I’m giving 2 stars instead of one is because of the original helpful employee and that at least they didn’t charge me for holding my Switch for 2 weeks and then giving it back without doing anything to it as far as I know.

See my notes from my not-so-great experience with the Hoover location on Lorna Rd. This location comes HIGHLY recommended from me. I called the Homewood location and spoke to Jason after having basically been told by the Hoover location they could fix my iPhone XR screen, but alas, they were out of stock on the screens and wouldn’t have any more for a few days. This is of course after scheduling an appointment and waiting outside for 20 minutes just to be told this. ANYWAYS, this location is FANTASTIC. Jason quoted me $30 cheaper than the Hoover location, and said they would have it done in an hour. Folks it took FIFTEEN MINUTES. That’s all!!!! Brand new screen in 15 minutes for $119 not including tax. If you choose to use a ubreakifix store in Bham, then look no further than the Homewood location, best service, quality, and care hands down!
Wish I could rate it a half star. Terrible service. Rude employees. Not going back.

I brought a fully operating iPad( no issues whatsoever) that is not even a year old to this location for a screen replacement. This place had good reviews online, but my experience was terrible. The guy at the front was unfriendly for starters. The screen repair was expensive ($150+) and when I picked it up and got it home, I discovered that the iPad would not charge. I called and they had me bring it back in. The same guy at the front was rude and literally just looked at it, asked some guy in the back a question, came back and told me my charge port was going out. I’ve never had a charging issue with this device. Also, it was working and charging just like normal despite a cracked screen prior to this place working on it. They insisted it had nothing to do with the screen repair and I needed to take it to Apple to see if they could fix it. I ended up finding an awesome place to take it to and found out that they damage my charging port when they replaced the screen. I also found out the screen they replaced it with was of poor quality and not the right type of glass for the iPad. The new place replaced my screen for free when I told them I had used this location. I think that speaks volumes. OVERALL, I paid a lot of money for a cheap replacement screen and their sloppy work ultimately further damaged my iPad and cost me even more money in unnecessary repairs.

I work at a business around the corner, and we dropped our iPad and broke our credit card reader off in the headphone jack. I ran in and they popped it out in less than 1 minute and didnt charge me a dime. Excellent service! Will definitely use with any future issues.
Poor people skills. I get the issues associated with Coronavirus, however, I witnessed the team be unnecessarily negative with multiple customers. If a team member is having a bad day either address or send them home. A negative body is a disservice to everyone!!!

I brought my Nexus 6 in for a fix that I thought would be complicated and expensive, but it turned out to be so simple that Drew fixed it up immediately for no charge. He then explained how to prevent the issue from reoccurring, and then also helped me understand my options with a malfunctioning Nexus 5X. Super nice guys, very informative, and Ill definitely come back if I have another issue.
Customer service was good but the products they offer are less than. I falsely assumed they would be able to service a cracked screen on an iPhone 7 plus. They assured me that it would work as an original product but when the phone was repaired, the color was inconsistent (reds appeared orange, for example) and the 3D Touch function didnt work. The following morning the touchscreen didnt work at all. They were willing to refund my money and replace the screen with the old, cracked one. I took it to Apple who repaired it in less time for nearly half the price of Phone Restore. At least for Apple products, this is a bad business model and youre better off just going to Apple and getting a certified technician and an Apple replacement screen and keeping an extra $100 in your pocket.
Top notch people here...To be honest, they could have charged me for a bad charging port, but instead fixed my issue quite quickly and very reasonably priced.My friends have asked in the past who I would trust to do a screen repair or other mobile and tablet repairs... this is the place.

They can replace your screen in an hour.The problem is they tell you its an OEM screen, but its not. It increased power draw so much that my phone started dying in ~6 hours. It blocked the ambient light sensor so the screen was permanently dimmed, so much that I could barely see it outside in sunlight. The home button is also now slightly out of place, so that sometimes it gets stuck when I press it.Then, 2 months later, half the screen just died. Theres a big black dead spot where I pressed with my thumb, and then lines of dead pixels all over the bottom half of the screen.Dont bother with these guys, just get Apple to replace your screen correctly, it costs the same amount.

I took my phone to Phone Restore on a Friday to get my screen repaired and by Monday the phone wouldnt turn on. I took it into the store and they said it was my fault because the phone had water damage and refused to give me a refund. The water damage was from over a year ago and had never effected the phone. Also, the guy on Friday even said it was minimal and wouldnt be an issue. Dont let these guys scam you, they broke my phone!UpdateTom, dont lie on your reply and act like you tried to contact me. Never heard from you, and dont plan to take any future phone to your SCAM of a business!

They have polite employees but are extremely high priced. Charged $40 for an 8 dollar part and 10 minutes of labor. They do not have prices posted so it is whatever the employee wants to charge. One employee told the other employee what to charge me. The other employee had no idea it would be that much

I called at 4:45 pm to see if they could fix my iphone screen (which I had shattered) and he said yes, bring it now and I will have it done in 30 minutes. And, he did it. The replacement battery for my MacBook came with the wrong tools for the job. A Phone Restore ace got the right ones, blew the dust out of the inside, put in the new battery, and told me how to condition it for top performance. All at no charge. They know phones, but this is also a good place to solve MacBook problems, especially older models that lack support from Apple.
My wife and I have had our fair share of broken screens. What I thought would be a hassle turned in to a great experience. We went in to the Homewood store and within 30 minutes the screen was as good as new. This definitely beats standing in line at the Apple store!
This store gives FIRST CLASS SERVICE as far as i am concerned. I used this store on 3rd Jan 2018 to replace the battery on my apple iphone. They had it done in less than ONE hour.. I had used this store recently to replace a screen on my Apple ipad.. they did an excellent job..My son has used this Homewood Alabama locations more times than i can count...
This was my 2nd success with these folks. Previously they did a very inexpensive battery replacement for my iPhone 3Gs and today they replaced the internal mic on my 4G which was blocked by a melted Raisinet. The staff is very pleasant, price is affordable, and instead of waiting for hours to have your name called by a geek wearing a headset, you can have a lovely pedicure just 2 doors down (or peruse the nearby package store) while they do your repair.Highly recommend!

Youre store is awful. Dressed up to look customer friendly but just a bunch of lazy tech know it alls. My screen was responsive about 50% of the time immediately after getting it fixed here and the home button you replaced lasted less than a month. I got it fixed cheaper at UbreakiFix for cheaper and much much much better quality, hopefully you guys improve on all aspects. Thanks to ubreakifix I was able to write this review, do not go to phone restore
Do not fall for their service. It is a piracy. I had taken my iphone for repair (it would not charge) along with an older iphone to use for parts (if needed). The man was very positive he could fix it and I gave him my deposit $69. He stated it had water damage and had fixed it. After a month, I started having problems with the bottom button. Well, I took it back (under 90-day) and thought I would receive an apology and good customer service. The employee said it had water damage at the charger. How could that be, I had bought an expensive gator box for the phone protections. Again, I paid for a new charger part from Phone Restore (another $69) and came back to pick it up. He commented the phone can charged now that I would need to charge it up to be able to use it. I did as instructed but the touch screen was doing strange things. I could not scroll or answer calls. I took it back to Phone Restore and explained the problem. The employee again did not apologized and had made all kinds of excuses why the phone maybe having problems and it would inquire me to pay another $80 for him to find the water damage. Now these folks had opened up my phone twice and never once said they saw additional water damage (if any) until I brought it back the third time and it would cost me additional $80 for them to look at it. I went over the past senerio of events and requested employee just to remove the new part and give me my refund. The employee refused and said he could not do it because the part had water damage (brand new part, barely a week old). Okay folks, I got scammed dont let it happen to you.
I have gotton my iTouch fixed 3 times there and they do it quickly and it is fairly priced. They always have very smart, well mannered staff on hand ready to help. Every time my itouch breaks has nothing to do with them.
I brought my phone in to the this location becuase it was convinient and I wish I hadnt. They fixed my phone and it IMMIEDIATLY started acting up the next day. I went back and they would not honor the warranty and said it was my fault! They said the installed a new part but i cant believe it with the issues I was having. I ended up going to a on 280 and getting it fixed for a discount after describing my issues. According to the guys that actually repaired it for me the second time, my phone was missing several brackets and screws. My phone was never opened until I took it to Phone Restore. I will NEVER visit any phone restore again, not to mention the employees were rude after I took it back.I took my phone to a place in homewood originally to get my screen fixed and new part they put in my phone immediatly started acting up the next day. They would not replace the part they JSUT installed under warranty so I ended up going to ubreakifix at the other end of 280. Im impressed at how fast my phone was repaired and the wuality of the parts installed. Andrew ahowed my where my phone was missing pieces and screws from the previous repair and was more than happy to replace them for me free of charge. Will be returning and letting everyone else know my experiences!!
