Katie styled my neices hair for her Senior Prom and she did a beautiful job! She really listened to her and opened a discussion to choose the perfect style! My niece looks like a princess and is all smiles!! Thank you Ulta and Katie for making some Prom Magic happen! 🌟
A nice looking store, but someone needs to teach the pale woman that worked on 6/15/21 at 4:20 some manners. She was very rude and slammed my receipt on the counter l. Will continue to visit the 280 locations. They are way more friendly .
I go in this store often and the staff is always friendly and helpful. but stay away from the salon itt is quite the opposite.especially the blonde girl that thinks she’s too cool.My 13 year old daughter had an appointment for over a month for color We were 10 minutes late and she turned us down .We were the only customers in the entire store.
Came in to get a product that came with a free gift. Met the requirements to get the gift, but the lead cashier was rude and said I couldn’t get the free gift. (The gift was in stock on the shelf) Also came in for my birthday gift from Ulta and you get two options, but she didn’t give me an option. She almost didn’t even give me a gift. Just threw something in my bag when i reminded her. Needless to say, don’t come to this Ulta if you want good service (or your birthday gift).
So easy to run in and grab whatever you need. Great selection.

Did you ever consider that this “pale” woman didn’t hand you your receipt because of safety procedures? Are you so high and mighty that everyone must personally hand you a receipt? I always come here whenever I need a good pick me up or a new makeup palette I love coming to Ulta because it makes me feel more like a woman the staff is always very nice but I will say theyre not as attentive as they should be as you have to find them and ask them for help.
Im a busy mom with two kids, I wish I had the luxury of shopping uninterrupted for myself, but I dont. I needed a new foundation and didnt know what brand or shade. After trying to buy one online twice, and very unsuccessfully, I finally gave in, and packed the kids in the car, and went into Ulta.The store was beautiful! The staff was friendly and helpful. One lady in particular (I wish I could remember her name) deserves a raise! Not only did she help me quickly she picked the perfect shade of foundation for me in 30 seconds. Keep in mind that its Corona season and that there are not any testers available. She looked at me and instantly found my shade. I didnt know until I got home and was able to test it myself how accurate she had been. It was a perfect match!!!Thats talent!! Thank you so much!Im very pleased with my purchase, she didnt try to upsell me on something I didnt want or need. All I wanted was to find a matching foundation, and get out, Mission accomplished!!! Thank you beautiful lady at Ulta. 🙂♥️
Unfortunately this store has officially made me take my business elsewhere. When a manager is not able to do a simple exchange that’s really pathetic. I’ve spent thousands at Ulta in general it’s sickening they gave me trouble over an exchange. Please hire staff that can actually do their job properly. I’ll never go into an Ulta again.

Ordered online for pick up. Almost didnt get my items I had already purchased due to them wanting my ID along with the confirmation number on my phone as a text and using the Ulta app and PayPal information pulled up. Luckily I had a photo of my ID so crisis was diverted. But should have been stated upon purchase that this was a requirement too
The atmosphere was very unfriendly. No one greeted me as I walked in and no one offered me help and when I went to check out they tried to force me to make an account with them but after seeing the way they treat their customers I was not wanting to make an account. I will not visit this store again

Today I visited the Ulta store in Hoover Alabama. I was greeted by the employees, and one employee asked if I needed any help. I showed her the photos on my phone of what my daughter sent me (Christmas list), and she sprang into action navigating the store and picking out the items my daughter requested. She was SO helpful and friendly.As I stood in the line waiting to purchase my items, a lady walked out of the store and had her bags snatched by some Christmas Grinch. (I decided Google wouldn’t accept the other chosen words I had for that person, so I used “Grinch”). I would like to point out that the staff at Ulta came to her rescue. The cops were called and their main concern was making sure she was okay. I also witnessed an employee walking through the store with her to help her replace the items at no charge. Witnessing the staff spring into action and help this lady by not only calming her down, but by replacing all of those gifts she had just bought AND watching customers buddy up to leave the store made me so happy. The generosity and customer service that these employees showed made me not focus on the bad that just happened. I was able to take in the good and have my faith in mankind restored. The ENTIRE staff at Ulta has won my business and my respect for their generosity towards this woman. They weren’t doing it just because it was their job; they did it because they are amazing human beings that work at that location.

The staff was nice especially the lady Hannah (I believe was her name) it my first time going into an Ulta and by the way my friends talk about it I thought it was going to be an experience but unfortunately a few of the staff didnt even acknowledge me I asked question but they didnt seem interested. One just stood at the register and barley spoke to me. I expected to at least feel welcomed but I did like Hannah she helped me at least. Thanks to her I got what I came for at least. Considering going back but I am not sure yet I just might try another location than Hoover. Perhaps Ill get better elsewhere.
Love this store. The employees are so friendly, they actually try to help you. I never have a bad experience at this location. Now all the other local stores STAY AWAY!!!!
Great location. Always busy but they have ample staff. The store is always clean. There are always coupons or sales. They most likely will have whatever you need from a beauty store.

I’ve always had a positive experience in this store. The store is kept clean, organized, and staff is friendly. I had a wonderful experience today at the Benefit brow bar! Faith was very professional and had wonderful customer service skills. My eyebrows look amazing. If you ever need eyebrow services done, ask for her! I’ll be a returning customer ❤️

Walked in and needed help finding a good brand foundation and couldn’t get one person to help. When we finally asked for help we were met with a snarky and unhelpful lady. She wasn’t very nice.

I was looking for several things in particular and not one person asked if I needed help even though I spotted about 7 different associates on the floor.They were out of stock of a lot of stuff even though the Ulta app said it was in stock, which isn’t necessarily the store’s fault, but still frustrating. I was at least glad they had the Becca foundation and primer I was looking for, but not much else.I had to dig through all of the out of order Anastasia shadows (at ground level and in my high heels) that were completely disorganized until I just finally gave up and checked out.I will find another local Ulta to go to even though the location of this one is more convenient to me.
Pretty good makeup store. Sephora is still the best due to the Beauty Insider benefits, better selection and more knowledgeable staff. Ulta is good if you want a broad selection of more reasonably priced items.
Usually busy. I asked salesperson for waterproof mascara, she got it for me and its not the right stuff. That is the third time the staff have steered me in the wrong direction. Tons of products but do your own research before going in. Dont count on their expertise. The company vendors are knowledgeable just not the cashiers.
They were well stocked but I didnt like being followed around by the girl working there. I am not a thief. It was the most uncomfortable shopping experience ever. I did make a purchase. I also showed them my gift card when I entered so they knew I had money to spend.

Thirteen people ahead of me & 2 clerks. Third person came to help when I was next in line & there were 14 people behind me. On the positive side, they were fast. This has been an issue for years.
Had what I thought would be a quick exchange for the same product in a different shade and saw that the line had about 10 people with one cashier. I walked to the back where I noticed atleast 5 other staff members including the manager, Nicole. I alerted her of the line, but she had me go and wait anyway. I guess I assumed she would send someone to help, but that didnt happen. You could tell the cashier was a bit overwhelmed, but no one came to help. The cashier was friendly and helpful though. The manager only came to the front to assist with my return and check a ladys bag when the alarm went off on her purchase. She seemed unconcerned with the growing line of customers that came after me. I came to this location for convenience on my lunch hour and the long lines and experience I just had will have me shopping at the store close to home. I have worked in retail and understand that everyone has a job to do, but when customers are waiting in long lines unnecessarily, thats poor customer service.
The employees are great, but they are ALWAYS out of stock! Do yourself a favor and call ahead if you need something specific, because more than likely, they will not have it! It will be nothing but a wasted trip for you! I have been looking for a specific eyebrow pencil and have gone to THREE different stores (including one out of state) and they were ALL sold out! Please keep your product in stock!

I was sold a TESTER bottle of Lancom foundation. It said tester on the box and on the bottle itself, but in small print. I came to the store to return it. I purchased it yesterday. The manager told me it’s a “blind return” and that if I have another receipt I can return it, otherwise we can’t help you. Basically she was insinuating I was trying to pull a fast one by pretending I bought the product elsewhere and was trying to return it here to get money.The girl that sold it to me yesterday was right there !!!!! and said she sold it to me. So they give me the customer service number. I called it right there in the store. It took some time, but I was helped by someone very kind and she was the only one that apologized for my experience. She was taken aback that they wouldn’t help me.She made things right, and I sincerely appreciate her. Otherwise, I would never shop with ulta again. Anyway, back to this specific ulta location review- of course my experience is not going to be common, so I’m not going to say oh don’t go there it’s a bad place, as that is unrealistic. However, I just wanted to share this and just make sure the person that sells you a product is competent and double check that they do not say TESTER. I would also encourage you make sure your item(s) show up in their system before leaving.The manager was the most unhelpful manager I’ve ever experienced in person. I am shocked, seriously. To insinuate I was trying to “return something that I didn’t buy on the receipt” is absolutely asinine. She literally just left me with figure it out with customer service. I am feeling a lot of emotions right now, I don’t have $47 to waste because their employee made an error.Will never ever ever ever be back to this location. I will still do business with ULTA, just online only. Hope others never have to experience something this goofy.

I’ve tried so many times to give this place a chance. The long lines are always an issue, no matter what time or day I go in.While most everyone is friendly and helpful, it does borderline a security presence each time. I get that theft is a major concern, and it’s a business right to take precautions necessary, but I prefer not to be watch as I go down each aisle.My main gripe is with the salon. I have given this place FOUR chances. Two for cuts and two for colors, all with three different stylists. The cut is either never what I want, or as if nothing actually got cut. The color- I was in near tears today after this experience. I talked to the girl, and she assured me she could do what I asked. Instead of pink, I got orange brown with some pink. Nothing what I wanted. The girl was sweet - but at that point, my hair had been so processed, anything else would have been more damaging.The stylists needs better training. The color issue was the second time I had issues. If you tell me you can do it, then you better damn well come close to what I wanted.

So I Love Ulta I do a lot of shopping more online than in store I did go to this one for the first time on thanks giving night and everyone was great except instead of letting me shop a girl kept following me and being like can I help you and I said no and she would just stand there like leave it made me feel like they though I was a thief and I’m not anyways the cashier was wonderful.

They typically, but not always, have the Too Faced and/or Bare Minerals make up that I use, in stock. The salon exceeded my expectations though. I don’t remember the name of the woman who did my hair, but she was blonde and had glasses, and if I remember, said she had moved from Texas. She gave me EXACTLY what I asked for, and even though my appointment ran right up to, and a little past, closing time, she still took her time to not make me feel rushed. I have gone to several salons in Hoover since I moved here, and this was the first time I felt like I got exactly what I asked for, and felt the price was fair. I will use this salon—after I ask for the name of the woman who did my hair.
Love their sales! Unfortunately management is subpar. It can be challenging to find a staff member with the knowledge needed to help you with skincare.

I had a very bad experience with a worker there who’s name was Nicole she was very mean to me any my daughter, and made comments about the makeup not being for my “type of people” (black people) I’m so disgusted and will never shop at another ulta again.
There are always at least five employees standing around, not helping anyone, and I’ve never once had someone approach me and ask if they could help. And when you do finally ask for help and get someone, they act like it’s such an inconvenience.
They had so much awesome glitter stuff A lot of it was overpriced however not more than Sephora they also had a large variety Ive different brands and price ranges so much glitter OMG LOL but my only complaint is that the woman who helped us was very rude and did not know her way around the store or at least acted like she didnt would not give us help our suggestion was very Huffy Puffy about having to retrieve or help us find any of the makeup we were looking for and to top it all off she and other sales people actually followed us around the store as if we were going to steal when we make more than enough money to buy our own things we do not I need you to spend your energy and time following us around accusingly when you could have been helping us find the makeup we came there to spend our hard-earned money on

Every time I go in this store there’s always an issue. They always have signs with stuff they have on sale and every time I get to the register it’s always an issue and they never give me the discount. Manager is really rude. There’s also someone always watching me as I walk down the aisle. Worst customer service I ever had.
While the newer, bigger store has a vast selection of items, they sure dont have very many employees. Of the employees that work there I have yet to find ONE that offers to help. I had the pleasure of finding all my items without assistance, and then got to wait 15 minutes in line so that the ONE employee working the check-out area could ring up my items. If Ulta doesnt plan on offering service with their store they should go ahead and merge with Amazon. VERY DISAPPOINTED!

This store is awful at restocking! I have been in there three different times within a two month span to get an eye brow pencil and all three times they have been out. And it doesn’t look Like they restocked recently.... if you are completely out of a product and have a spot on your shelf for it...RESTOCK!!!!!

Employees were very rude. They acted as if I was a shoplifter and followed me all over the store. At one time I felt like this woman was going to try and crawl up my but. I asked for the manager and never got a response. When I ask for a number to the corporate office. They was so very rude. I was in tears the time I got in my car.
The staff at the salon was the rudest Ive ever encountered. Been a faithful Ulta customer for some time now and not pleased with their lack of customer service at this location!

Didnt have what I needed..
First time I went in with my aunt, we asked for help several times before anyone actually came to help us, but a lo also had the impression we were wasting their time or annoying them bc we asked a few questions about products.Second time I went alone to return products purchased on first trip bc they were not needed or did not work as I thought, lady at register was very kind and helpful pointing me toward product I was looking for on first trip. However, I was followed by 2 employees everywhere I went in that store. Mind you they never asked if I was looking for anything, they just made me feel like I was not supposed to be in the store. I was very rushed by them sort of herding me around the store and I dont think I would go back to this store again, I will find another location or go to Sephora.This is a very large store...it feels as though they should have more of their most popular products in stock or on the shelf. But, everything I went to get was sold out and no one offered to look in the back to see if there was more of anything I wanted available. Also, why have 5 -7 associates on your floor and payroll if they are doing nothing, but walking around and chatting with each other and not making customers feel welcome inside store.
Found most of the items I was looking for. Not as much as my normal store but was perfect for picking up a few items while I was traveling.
One complaint.. internet says open until 10pm and so after shopping at mall came here and they are closed. Door says open until 9pm.

There are so many restrictions on ULTA’s $3.50 coupon I have never been able to use one. I wish they would not bother issuing them. It just frustrates the consumer.
