Hadnt been in a Big Lots since I was a teenager stealing cigarette butts out of the ashtrays outside. As an adult however, I think we have all forgotten to consider Big Lots when shopping for items such as furniture, clothes and odd food items. This store has really cool stuff at affordable prices and I even heard they do payment plans now!! Go check it out!

I actually love this location. Very spacious and Im always able to find what Im looking for in addition to things I dont really need that mysteriously jump into my cart. Great store and nice Customer Service associates.

Great Customer Service And Very Polite!

Big Lots once was one of my favorite stores. My mother and I went Big Lots, in Hopewell, VA, to do a little shopping. As soon as we entered the store, I noticed this tall fair skinned black man following us. It be your own people (ebonically speaking). He walked slowly down the aisle we were on.  He stood on the end cap noticeably peeking. I said to my mom that guy thinks were stealing. We continued shopping. Every few minutes I would look up and I would see this same store associate, clearly following us around.  At the end of our shopping experience, we were at the register. My mom placed our items on the counter. The entire time the guy stared at the transaction.  He positioned himself directly behind the cashier and the door. It was like we were a TV show and he was transfixed in a weird psychotic way. It was a very uncomfortable experience. We werent stealing. We had no intentions of stealing. I am 99% certain that I will never returned to that store again. The creepy  daylight peeping Toms name is Alvin.I dont know if I look like a thief or if my mom looked like a thief.  Ironically my mother worked for the military,  AAFES in safety and security as the manager for over 20 years retired, which included loss prevention. So Im not sure what our behavior was, that gave him the impression that we were the customers to watch. It was very uncomfortable and unwarranted. If thats how they monitor their shoppers they should reevaluate that procedure.I will not shop there again!I would not recommend!I usually dont discourage,  but in the climate of the world,  that behavior can end tragic.I would discourage others based on my experience.

The store is a pretty good place to find deals. Furniture✔ Home Decor ✔Other than the rude associate in the furniture area and awaiting acknowledgment for assistance from the associates, the store is a good place to visit. If you dont need help...

Excellent service, they helped me find what i was looking for they were kind and helpful the store was clean and everyone was very safe wearing mask and had hand santizer avabiable it was the best store experience i ever had..id recommend big lots to everyone!

Found a nice recliner at a good price

Terrible customer service in furniture department. Attitude and walked away when I wanted to purchase a bed. Asked about delivery. He stated no delivery. A sign stated delivery available instead of explaining delivery is contracted out. He said NO and walked away. He didnt even attempt to help with sale. I left and went to Chester Big Lots. Clearly he hates his job and it shows.

The cleanest Big Lots Ive ever been in, and Ive been in a few. The most organized, very spacious. Alyssa, the cashier, was very kind. Going back to look into furniture. I see that the customer service was not too good in the furniture dept. I had an excellent shopping experience today.

Got a new bedroom suite for a fraction of the price of just a mattress. Great and helpful employees.

Two different visits. One to pick up a new mattress. Chose the Seally LAZE... It supports well laying down. Sinks a good bit when sitting. We were assisted quickly and able to roll it out. (mostly foam)Second visit we made other Christmas shopping choices for coworkers and grandchildren. Check out was not a problem. Thank you.

Always clean and stocked. But they lack some of the cheaper items you seen at bigger big lots such as in colonial heights but overall cant beat the experience

I went to Big lots to look at gazebos and they had them for $500 less then Lowes. Very sturdy metal and wood gazebos

Furniture tags say take home today, but very few items do they actually have in stoke in any of their stores. False advertisement. Went to 3 store and none had the TV stand in stock.

The store was clean, but I only went there to look for one thing, (a microwave), but they dont carry them, so I was a little bit disappointed.

This big lot is an improvement from the one that was in Colonial Heights, VA, but it doesnt have items available in stock like the Big Lots in Chester, VA. The staff is friendly and I am always in and out. Great Deals Weekly!

It is very nice after a holiday. The sales are phenomenal. The cashiers are really nice, and very professional. I do however miss the Big Lots in Colonial Heights. It seemed to me that there was a larger variety and just it was a bit more comfortable to me than the one here. But all in all I would recommend it if you have a few extra bucks and a little bit of time on your hands.

Just dont buy furniture from there. Mine began falling apart before the first year was up. Even though I bought the 3 year warranty, they refused to fix, what was factory damage .

Customer service needs to improve. Several cashiers and managers have attitudes. They were really picked through but it was Christmas eve, so it is to be expected.

Big lots is actually growing on me. I found some snacks in there that I havent had before. I was very satisfied with those snacks as well. They have pretty good prices as well.

They were still out of the same items they were out of last week. It is a great store that I really enjoy shopping in. Great prices, great selection of merchandise of many different categories. Very neat, clean, good quality, wide aisles. Clean, well stocked, very accessible restrooms. Fantastic about making sure you are satisfied and quick to refund money if not satisfied. Very good stick of Bob Mill alternative seed and nut flours. Excellent seasonal merchandise. Furniture, groceries, toys, gifts, toiletries, medical supplies, greeting cards and associated items and so much more at unbelievably low prices.

This BigLots has everything in stock!! Well lit parking lot. Friendly and helpful cashiers, clean bathrooms. Clean store. Not too busy even during Christmas time!

Not a bad store but every time we buy Furniture something is missing, not enough holes or the screws are stripped or the pieces don’t fit. I will never buy furniture from there again I suggest if you do get them to put it together for some reason they have all their pieces.

I love everything which means I have to be careful when I go as not to go over budget. The store is super clean and has a great customer service. Love it! Conveniently located too.

I love Big Lots always have the best prices and the merchandise is unbelievable what you find. There always a cashier to help you when you get to the check out area. Friendly associates if you need help. A greeting when you walk in to the building with a smile. Great experience every time.

The customer service is great no matter what day we go, the cashier is always pleasant.

Can find a great selection of Bob Red Mills grains and international products. Also a large assortment of teas. I usually buy my polenta (yellow grits) and green tea from big lots. Nice store to look around also for the discount furniture. Definitely take a look!

Very nice products and customer service, salesperson Tonya, assisted me in finding another sport chair from their storage unit that didnt have a stain on it, she went to the back and brought out a box of them . Tonya was very helpful and professional she didnt have an attitude and made it a pleasant shopping experience, I will most definitely shop there again and tell others to also .
