$199.99 for a 2 set of 7ft cables?$420 for 2 garage door springs?Do yourself a favor and call around for estimates first. I unfortunately believed Brandon that my invoice was so high because of the increase in prices from Covid. After calling around to other garage door repair shops, I would say I paid twice what I should have. I see that those cables are going for $12.99 retail (not even close to $199.99). Hopefully this will help others make a better decision than I did.
Ben did a great job on replacing our garage door opener and getting rid of the old one. If only we had two garages Id use him again. Highly recommend him. Wouldnt ask for anything to be done differently.

I rarely write a complaint about a company, but the recent experience I had with Superior Garage Door was very frustrating.On the evening of Friday, May 7th, our main garage door’s cable broke causing the door to come loose and get wedged into the track, thereby warping the track. I called SGD around 8:45/9:00 PM that night asking if someone could come out the next day to do the repair. The woman that answered said yes they could come out between 9:00 and 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 8th. I also asked her what the quote was for the repair (as I was shopping around for both costs and expediency for repair) and she quoted the total costs would be between $75 and $150. I agreed to that and thanked her. As my daughter had gymnastics, we had errands to run, and we were visiting family early that afternoon, it was important to have the work done in the morning.I received a call around 8:00/8:30 AM the morning of May 8th saying that unfortunately SGD could not have a technician out at the quoted time. They provided a new scheduled service time between 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM. I was frustrated about this as we had several matters on our calendar we needed to attend to (as stated above), but said that was fine and repeatedly asked that someone come out as close as possible to 11:00 AM. About 12:00 PM, I called to check on the status and was told SGD had a shortage of technicians that day and they will do their best to get someone to our home. After several other status calls, the technician showed up between 1:45 and 2:00 PM. Because of this, we had to reschedule our afternoon, ask others to help drive our daughter to gymnastics, and we had to cancel certain errands/events that day.To make matters worse, the total for the work was $405. This was about 3-4 times higher than what was quoted to me on the phone the night before. I had no choice but to pay it as we were really in a rush to leave at that point, but I asked the technician for the number to SGD’s corporate office to lodge my frustrations on the experience.Since then, I have called and spoken to 3 different people at SGD’s office on three separate days, all of whom said they would check with management and call me back regarding (1) refunding me the difference of the quote and what I paid and (2) to generally discuss my complaints with the service. After 10 days, I have not received a call back from SGD.

Excellent service! I’d bought a garage door opener from Home Depot and called Superior Garage Door Repair in Hopkins to schedule an installation. They offered me a time slot for that same day. The tech arrived right on time. When he installed the one I’d purchased from Home Depot - it turns out none of the buttons could open the door. He had a Liftmaster opener in his truck and offered to install it instead. When all was done - I had a commercial grade opener that worked perfectly - and I had my off-brand opener to return to HD. Matt was courteous and helpful - and explained differences between residential grade and commercial grade openers. I was very satisfied with the service and would highly recommend Superior Garage Door.

I will not use any other company for my garage doors! My wife called them and Dave was here within 30 mins. I tried other companies, and they either didnt show up or were extremely overpriced. We had to replace both springs. After that he did a complimentary 20something point inspection. Then he went out of his way to take a look at my door on a rental property of mine down the street. You rock Dave!
BEWARE! We had Superior Garage Door out to fix a broken spring on one of our garage doors. We asked for a rough estimate ahead of the techs arrival. They quoted $130 for the spring (parts) but said the labor could not be quoted (understandable). The tech arrived, replaced the spring and was gone in less than 25 minutes. Labor charged? $175. All said and done, the tech charged my wife $327 to replace one spring. When I called to question the labor charge, I was told that the labor charge varies based on what tech comes to complete the work. Seriously? Did they see an opportunity to take advantage of my wife? After getting off the phone with the office, ten minutes later the tech called and said he mistakenly overcharged my wife on the labor rate because he missed the note from the office on the rate. Really? The office never quoted a rate. He said that he mistakenly overcharged her and would refund the $50 difference. Did they? No. No contact. No refund. No follow up. We were lied to, taken advantage of, and ignored. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY. Certainly, if you do decide to take the risk, get documentation ahead of time and make sure you have at least two individuals present during service. We have filed a BBB complaint but have little faith in potential resolution. Shameful and disgusting for a local company.

Dave is a great technician and saved our butts on short notice! The person who answered the phone at their office was also friendly and helpful too. She put an emergency note on our appountment and said someone would be out between 8-10, and we had called at about 7:30.Turned out to be a spring that popped on us the night before -- Theyre loud when they break and sound like a gunshot. Dave quoted us at about $150 for each spring (we replaced both on his recommendation vs have the other go soonish); Total bill was right about $400. Gotta pay when its an DIY no-go, right, haha! But they got unstuck and were honest and friendly about it.Will highly reccomend them in the future!*Daves tidbit of advice: Put some silicone lube spray on the springs and such of the opener during spring/fall cleaning to keep them from breaking quite so soon. 👍

Hello,Just want to share some bad experience with this company. I called to schedule an appointment, and over the phone women told me that it will cost me $99 (for parts and labor, I asked her 2 times) to replace garage door cables, and any additional repairs will be extra charge. So I scheduled an appointment to replace the cable. After technician came and replaced just cable, he told me it will be $240 dollars, 95+tax for parts and 139 for labor. I called the company back and they told me that price depends on if technician determines if there extra work needs to be done. Just want to point out again, he replaced just cables (took him 30 min)- NO ADDITIONAL REPAIRS, and I paid $240 instead of $99 like they promised me. I never write anything like this about anyone, but this is just not right. Please be aware of it, because it will cost you not what they promise you. P.S. technician was very cool person by the way, I have nothing against him, he was just doing what he been told by management.
