My favorite one to go to. The girls there are always super nice and helpful! They always have everything I need too!

This Armstrong is a top supplier for me. I would say 8 times out of 10 they have what you are looking for, given the shortages that we’re seeing with product. Super helpful and friendly staff. They know me by name which makes me feel like one of the big dawgs.

The 290 location does not have a friendly or helpful staff/owners.The newer younger staff is nice though. I do most all my business across town on Westheimer/Shepherd. They help you find things and answer all your questions. They notify me about upcoming sales, and fill my phone orders.

Store was cleaned, well-stocked, and organized. Prices are decent.

I buy a vast majority of my salon products from this vendor. It helps that the people are nice and friendly, especially Jaime, and the store is always clean! Love it!!

Called this morning and, by the sounds of it, an older woman there was not helpful and sounded rude. How do people like her even get to work customer service?! Last time I will call to ask questions about a product!

I read the reviews and thought I should stay away from that place. I am a perwon to give my own reviews based on my experience.I took my big purse. Walked in with my niece. They immediately greeted us upon entering the store. 2 customers in store, 3 staff members in store. We were asked if we needed assistance amd were left alone. They also suggested other things to help us. They were very friendly people. I will be going back.You have to give it a try before you reject it. You never know what may happen.

I did the whole curbside pickup this morning, when I finished placing my order over the phone and paying for them I asked the lady what her name was (just in case there was a problem or something) and she responded very rude with “anyone here can help you when you pull up to get the products” I’m thinking in my head, That’s NOT what I asked you!!! Cynthia & Kim and Ty are very nice but the staff they have working there at the 290 location need to step it up and take some Customer service classes or something, I’m sure the lady wouldn’t like this same treatment at another store. If you have problems at home leave them there don’t bring them to work and treat people rude!

I truly appreciate how the staff is ready to help or answer questions. I’ve had nothing but good experiences each time I purchase products here.

I went yesterday and while I was doing my shopping I felt an older lady that works there following me around the store which was annoying because she never even asked if I needed help finding something. All the staff looked like they were having a bad day with a serious face just staring at you. I regret spending over $100 in products which I should of just taking my business to another location .

Clerks are courteous, knowledgeable and have a positive attitude! Great vibe! Love shopping there, I live near the Shepherd location but drive to the 290 location. ..30 minutes away, just because of the awesome service!

Kim and Cynthia are absolutely the BEST !! Always willing to help us professionals with their knowledgeable product advise. I have beed consulting with them for 40 years!That should tell you something

Tags on items were not priced or priced wrong and when I checked out my bill was off by $8. Not a lot but I was over charged. When I told the Kaitlyn the cashier and the person that had shown me the item she took me back to the item and noted I was right but said it didnt matter. I could either just have a full refund or deal with it. I had asked the owners daughter the price of several unmarked items but the marked ones I assumed would be honored. So wrong! The owner proceeded to tell me are we done here? She made several other rude comments and I left. I will definitely be giving my normal Armstrong my business and never coming here again! Their customer service is off the charts awful!

I have been shopping at this location over 2years and today I had to put an end to the owners pettiness. She has everyone to follow you around the store and she makes all these smarts remarks and mumbling while you shop. I mean what is the problem? She says me and you have a thing. What thing exactly? Ive never stolen anything and I guess since you pick up sometimes and may switch them out its a problem. I refused my purchase and left. I will never go here again and from the others who shopped here before theyve said the same thing about the service.horrible. so if you want to be stalked and talked about and treated like a criminal. Go here. Ugh

This place here is something serious when it comes to the women and they nasty attitudes toward u when u are asking them a simple question!! Not 2 mention not all African American women use the same products!! I am never giving them.my money ever again!!!!

The staff is rude. Unbelievably RUDE. No one knows how to open their mouth and verbalize their selves. Gothic skinny boy just standing behind me and starting, I turn and say “hello...I’m sorry am I in your way?” His response “yeah. I’m just waiting for you to move.” Niceeeee. Cooool. Chubby tall blonde guy was rude as well and when he rang me up he did ALL but speak kindly to me. He smacked down my receipt. We waited for an awkward while. I say “uhm.....are we done here?...” “You need to sign your receipt” LOLLLL THANKS FOR FAILING TO INFORM ME OF. THAT. The manager seemed pretty kind. But this boys had me leave with my blood hot. I hate that I allowed them to put me in such a funk.

Supposedly they only sell to hairstylist.... well they should have a bigger and brighter note and the door so end users dont waste their time thinking they can buy like any other store.

I love this location, there are closer locations to my home, but I have been coming here for about 10-12 years and just like it.

They always ask if you need help and absolutely friendly. Always feel welcome with a great smile .

Everyone who says you get treated like a criminal is true. They watch every single move and all the sudden have to put products up in the ile where one is shopping. Years back they would basically follow you around and stalk you. I even asked why they did that because it was so obvious, it makes the customer feel very uncomfortable and there must be another way to keep track of their products. Just to make a point I asked if they wanted to see my purse before I walked out with my purchase. I guess if they were more business savvy they would hire a secret shopper like many commercial companies do. I dont know of any other beauty store or business in general where they take measures of making their client feel like a criminal.

The service here is horrible!! The owner Kim treats you like a criminal!! They follow you around if you have a big purse because she is so paranoid you will steal!! I dont get it since they have cameras why they feel the need to follow you around!! people take your money elsewhere Kim is so RUDE to people and she doesnt appreciate the fact you are spending money at her store!! She accused me of stealing while I had my 10 month old baby with me and later threatened me when I wrote a review on their Facebook page. I went back to the store and she threatened me to delete the post because it was full of lies but newsflash thats what reviews are for to give your opinion and my opinion of this store is that Kim is a discriminating and unprofessional store owner and you shouldnt go spend your hardworking money at this store!! I went in today to get a new shampoo because the one I was using (for months) the last batch I got made my hair super heavy and it felt ands if it didnt fully remove the oil after I washed 2 times, I was sad because I love it and I had recommend this to a friend of mine and the same thing happened to her. Anyway I got there and I believe its the owner that asked what I was looking for, I explained this to her and I had picked another shampoo I used to use and had it in my hand as I asked her if that one was okay to use, and she cut me off and said she didnt know what I was talking about and looked at me dumb, I am NO cosmetologist Im an esthetician and day spa owner so I responded to her I just wanted to see what youd recommend she said well I dont know just try that one its whole sale price ...REALLY ? NO WAY I THOUGHT I WAS IN A RETAIL STORE??! .. I know its wholesale. Ive been going there long enough and have been making enough purchases for my salon. Im done with this place. And all the people Ive send Ill make sure they know. Im huge customer service at my business, and I dont think I deserved to be treated like that. Thankfully the lady at the front was so sweet I almost left but I had to get that stuff but that was my last purchase there.

The employees are always so attentive and i also find what I need at a better price then regular stores!

They have all kinds of beauty supplies, and they sell items to do repairs to salon equipment.

I don’t know the employee name but she was extremely rude, she has a tattoo on her arm, thanks God I didn’t buy anything there and never will. If you ever get treated so rude to the point you feel embarrassed don’t stay quiet, no one is more than you to treat you so bad.

Its soo sad that the majority of the negatively you read about this location is true. I live soo very close to this location. However, I have to be mentally prepared to shop here. They seemed to be trying to improve, so I give it one and a small e for effort. Practice doesnt make for perfect but in this locations case it makes for improvement. Keep up the positive work. I would love to be abke to add a star. Plus, not have to go out of my way for professional beauty supplies.

Awful service, we went with our cosmo teacher and the whole time they were following us around and staring at us like we were criminals. I felt uncomfortable and wanted to get out of there as soon as possible.

This location has the rudest staff. I recommend that you take your business elsewhere.
