Wow, the mango sticky rice paired with Howard coconut ice cream with coconut pieces is outstanding. The best I have had and this is my most desired dessert. Notes of Jasmin are featured in the silky cream which comes on the side. We also enjoyed the spicy orange chicken which was the special. This was well battered and a lovely crunch. The last item we enjoyed was the basil fried rice. This was another savory mouth watering dish. It had the perfect amount of spice. The green beans where crunchy. Thankyou for the journey to Thailand.

We try lunch special Basil Chicken for $9.95. It is really2 good. Tasty and delicious. Too bad, it is not in the lunch list, so we dont get free spring roll and soup. I wish .....The dumpling just ok. But not bad at all to try.Pad Thai too sweet for us. We will pass for this food.Thai fried rice is really recommended.Remind me with original fried rice from Thailand.Now, Prik Nam Pla sauce is so good.

Morningside Thai is an excellent place to get some Thai food. The food is all very tasty and the service is excellent. The lady who served me was so kind and friendly, a great server all in all. Everything was perfect.

Really top-notch food. Everything had lots of flavor and was plentiful. I had Pad Thai (I know everyone orders that). My wife had Basil Fish. The food was great. We had sweet/sticky rice with mango. It was the hit of the meal. I will definitely return and it get my highest recommendation. For me it is a must visit.

This has been a go-to place for us for many years. From the original location on Morningside and eventually the location on Braeswood. We moved away a few years ago, and during a rare trip back to Houston, made a point to stop here.We went on a Thursday evening. There were so many people doing pick-up that there were people standing all over the restaurant, hovering over the diners trying to eat dinner. The waiter was somewhat rude, but probably because he was overwhelmed trying to take care of all the tables, and all of the take-out service.We got cheese rolls (excellent) and beef Satay (tough as leather) for appetizer. The yellow curry was excellent, the pad Thai very good. One member of our party got Deans chicken it was very good and very spicy.Again, the food was very good generally, but the ambiance was awful.

We came to the tattoo convention and wanted something to eat before it started. Saw this place and decided to come in since my husband and I love Thai food. This is place is by far the most excellent Thai restaurant I’ve ever been to! Food is amazing! Staff are all super kind. When ever we come back to Houston, we will absolutely be coming back! We are from San Antonio and I gotta tell you, I’m going to miss this place!

Totally genuine Thai cuisines! I visited Thai Land once. This restaurant really reminds me of that trip. If you want to experience Thai foods but can’t make a trip over board atm then this place is a perfect choice 😊

Straight up, The food was amazing! Service was slow and here’s why:When first entering, some worry started to settling in due to the lack of customers dining in, however, after a few minutes of being seated I realized that the reason why service was slow was because there was a high influx of to go orders and people coming in and picking up food. After seeing how many people were ordering out from here I realized the food MUST be good.I was not disappointed, the chicken dumplings were steaming hot and delicious and light enough to be called appetizers (because they are!). The curry noodles were delicious, the noodles were cooked to perfection and well served. The duck curry was served with a red curry and coconut cream sauce with pineapples and cherry tomatoes and a small bowl of white rice on the side. Took a little longer to come out but the placement of being a house special was well deserved, very delicious pairing with the tomatoes and pineapple. And don’t forget the Thai ice tea!! A layered tea with sweetener and milk makes such a delicious drink I had to take some to go!Over all, extremely delicious!! 10 out of 10 recommend 👌🏻

I ate here years ago and it was great. I ate here recently and it was awful. There was huge chunks of white potatoes and carrots that I have never seen in Thai food and they were nearly raw. The slices of chicken were terrible. I will never eat there again. What a shame. I would never recommend.

My boyfriend had ordered the food thru Ubereats. We did not like the food at all. The Pad ke Mao was very oily and the most veggies added were onions. We also felt a lower portion was given to us compared to dine in.

This is a very cute and delicious little establishment. I had the fried calamari, Thai tea, and some plate with fish. First, they have the best fried calamari I have ever had. Our server was very helpful with recommendations and helping me find a plate I would enjoy. She was spot on with her recommendation. The fish was fantastic, very flavorful and savory. The sticky rice is also very very good.

I ordered Pad Thai with shrimp and it was HORRIBLE!!! Way to sweet and it smelled nauseating like vinegar...The shrimp only six small one had no taste...like they were freezer burned or something.. I hope i dont get sick after the few bites ...it is in the trash!!!

The coconut soup was amazing!! It was the right sweetness and right amount of lemongrass. I will come back for that soup for sure!! The rice dishes are a meal by themselves and I think they are good for two.

I had came to Morningside Thai many, many times, the last one before 2020. I got a Po Tek having in my mind the delicious flavor of this soup. Flavor: excellent, presentation: not as charming as before but this is just a detail. Honestly, I going to comeback! And I recommend it!

Family owned and run, Mint the chef was so kind to pay close attention to my special requests and made my pad woon sen so delicious!! She’s very good at cooking and you can tell she cares about each meal that leaves the kitchen by the quality of the food. Staff is very attentive and they put out plants to make the patio nice. Me and my cousin go in as much as possible its almost like a second home the staff is very nice and the food is absolutely delicious and if you dont know what to eat just ask for a recommendation everything is spectacular and worth trying oh and the baby egg rolls along with the chicken dumplings ate an absolute must have as a starter and for a drink you can not go wrong with thai tea they are to die for!!!

Delicious Thai food! Friendly service. Drunken noodles were well seasoned and had a nice simmer of heat. Mango sticky rice was incredible! Very sweet mangoes but with just the right amount of tart to cut the sweetness. Tucked right behind the Krogers. Intimate eating area inside, but also does carryout or delivery. Good local spot! I ordered food from here yesterday, I was prepared for something to be wrong as that usually happens nowadays... they surprised me because EVERYTHING was PERFECT.Customer service was kind and excellent, delivery time was perfect, the food arrived hot and well packaged, and more importantly the flavor and quality of everything was SUPERB.I got soft spring rolls with shrimp, Tom Kha Gai soup and Panang curry and it was delicious, perfectly made and a truly great culinary experience.Thank you so much for the great service, if I weren’t shipping out to army basic training tomorrow I would DEFINITELY eat here again.

I’ve been going to this place ever since they moved from their Morningside location a few years ago. The decor is nice inside, but a bit shabby outside. Last time I was there the green curry was good but the Thai tea was undrinkable. Overly sweet and with an odd flavor, like it was prepared a week ago....

Picked up takeout. The Pad Thai was too sweet and I could not finish my meal. Some people were not wearing a mask inside the restaurant. Im not sure if they were workers on break or if the restaurant do not enforce mask wear but it made me feel uncomfortable.

It is a decent thai restaurant. I am a fan of thai fried rice and their fried rice is up to the mark. I usually goes with friends and all of them like the place. Its a good thai place which is of medium range and is worth the prices.

I wish I had a photo... Goodness, this place is amazing! I had the red curry with tofu. Absolutely delicious! We also had the spring rolls. I’ve never had a spring roll so delicious AND the dipping sauce was fantastic! Will be back for sure!!!!

I tried to go here off of reviews of them having a great fried rice.... NEVER AGAIN!I ordered fried rice with beef n pork.... first.... it was almost $17 for a Medium sized TOGO box!!Then... I get NOTHING with my order... no utensils, no soy sauce, no napkins.... NOTHING.I get they are doing to-go orders only due to the Covid-19.... but shouldn’t a To-go order include any if not ALL of the above mentioned items?!Plus... let me add by saying my PORK looks like it’s not cooked properly as it’s as bright as the chicken wshould be.VERY DISSATISFIED AND DISAPPOINTED WITH THE SERVICE

Their Chicken Pad Thai is probably the best weve tasted here in Texas so far and their Mango Sticky Rice for dessert was superb

I ordered takeout or ate at the restaurant at least once or twice a week. The delivery service is excellent. They always quoted a 45 minute delivery and most times, within 15 minutes, they were knocking on my door. The restaurant service is great. One waitperson in particular (I wish I could remember her name) memorized the different ways I ordered my food. When she knew it was my takeout orders, she even drew happy faces on the boxes. I appreciated her service the most. The small, cozy atmosphere and good food made Morningside Thai a great neighborhood restaurant for me to dine.

Really enjoyed lunch here on Friday. Kind of small inside so you may have to wait a bit if coming during lunch rush. Glad we waited all three is us enjoyed our meals. Great flavor with my Yellow Curry and I was able to have some extra vegetables added.

I might not be a big fan of Thai food, but coworkers convinced me to try the Garlic Chicken. Basically spicy/garlic breaded chicken tenders that you can dip in the garlic sauce; and comes with a spring roll, soup, and rice. It is really good, but can be very spicy at times. Very good for the price. The place has very limited seating, so plan on getting there before noon for lunch.

Disappointed as food always had a FRESHNESS. On this occasion Tuesday January 21st, the rice tasted old and rewarmed multiple times. It was most embarrassing as I bought a meal for someone else who was equally unimpressed.
