Desi shopping hub. All in one place for groceries. Its a great place for the Indian stuff and also sweets. Moderately busy place. Friendly stuff.
This is our go-to Indian grocery store. It has literally everything I need. They have a good selection of fresh as well as frozen vegetables. The cashiers are very nice too.
The have a wide selection of stuff that they carry for some and not so much for others. It didnt seem to me that there was much variety for dhals. And they dont have price stickers on everything which is kind of inconvenient. But otherwise the store is clean and well laid out. They have a rewards program where you get $20 off for every $1000 spent I believe. Oh and sometimes, the lines are too long for a store this size.
I ordered some items online and it said delivery will be around $6 dollars. Then a lady called me saying the delivery will be $20 so i told her never mind I’m going to cancel she said ok. I went online and cancel my order. So the next day I didn’t see my refund I called the store again about the cancellation and how i didn’t get my refund she said 24 hours I waited two days for refund and it’s been last week I called. I still haven’t got my refund. I WILL NEVER ORDER anything from this store!!!
They have good stocks of all kinds. Price may be bit high in comparison with other similar shops
All the Indian groceries available here. Only try not buy vegetables, milk from here as it is costly than other super markets.
Clean and neat store. The veggies are really fresh compared to other stores.
Awesome grocer, has everything I need for my Indian kitchen. Havent gone elsewhere for Indian pantry items in 2 years and more.
One of the best place to get the grocess
Lots of hard to find unique fresh produce
It is an Asian grocery store contains everything we need for the kitchen.Rice varites, vegetables, dairy, greens, spices, nuts, oil snacks.Just pay a visit to this store.
I dont think Keemat is going to survive against Parivaar and VISHALA.. We went to get Srikhand for 1.99 as per advertisement shown on whatsapp. It was sold out with 30 minutes so no idea How many items of Srikhand were there. It can only be sold out if they have simply kept 10 to 15 Srikhand to sell. Thats why I like Americans. Always straight forward. They will never keep 10 or 15 items with low price. Either you buy it or dont. I hope Indians will learn a lesson.
Most decent priced grocery store in Hillcroft area. The best part is their rice/veggies and roti/frozen naan collection. Must visit.
I just called this store to ask if they have basmati brown rice and the price. The female employee refused to disclose the price and said its the store policy and hung up on me. Wow, amazingly rude customer service! I dont plan on visiting this store or their other locations. I cant post my review on this site until I give them 1 star, which I dont think they deserve any.
Great place for Indian products
This is a nice speciality grocery store, which focuses on selling food products primarily from the Indian subcontinent. Their store made samosas that are out of this world. I came at the right time, because they were still piping hot. The samosa had a nice blend of potato, spices and other ingredients. I ate the second one after it cooled, and that one still tasted good. I only wish that it was fried for a minute or two less than it was.
You find most Indian groceries here.Would be happy if i can get large desi yoghurt too( the 10lb ones).
Wide variety of brands fresh vegetables
Best Indian Store!
The workers are busy gossiping and doesn’t help you. You will have to wait in line until they are done talking to each other.
Quality of vegetables and fruits is decent but not great. Convenient location in hillcroft with ample parking spots. Be aware of offers on food which are on sale, expiration date coming soon on them.
Warning!!! Always check the expiry date of items before you buy. Lot of people wrote this in their reviews. But still the shop owner is not removing the items. I just found that my husband bought one item with expiry date March 2020 on November 2020. 8 months passed after the expiry date.Edit: Item is Vatika hair oil.
We usually go here on Fridays and usually its a bit crowded buy thats when I usually see fresh vegetables.
Good amount of asian products
Go here to buy indian grocery but they have a small produce section. I appreciate that the produce isnt covered in plastics like some places. If you want lentils and masala its a decent place to shop.
Could find almost everything desi.. all goods are fresh and healthy.. no old stocks found.. Sweet, helpful and kind staff at the counter.. Talk to them feels like family.. Can find all frozen, fresh, biscuits, khara, snacks, rice, maggi, biscuits etc
Different varies if desi product
Quality is very good
Excellent selection, and their delivery service has been a lifesaver this past year. They always pack everything really well, too.
Great selection of items. Neat and clean. Been shopping here for years.
Good selection good prices and the samosas are reeeeeeeeally good!
Mediocore food combined with similar services.....
I have been shopping at Keemat Grocers for more than 15 years. The quality of produce and service has gone down the hill. This pic is from 10th august,2018, lauki had fungus, onion were bad, ginger is bad many times w fungus.I told the girl at counter, the vegetable has fungus, she said fungus always grows on vegetables. When I clicked picture, she said I can even make a video and do whatever I want, thats not how you speak to customers. I have before showed the store expired products on shelf, 1 kg cheese block expiring in a week and they said it never expires.I also recall one instance, when needed to 1 out of 2 items, unopened item due to quality . They gave me so much hard time, asked to speak to manager, looked up recpt, found it, spoke to manager and eventually never returned.
Excellent Indian grocery store. The staff is good and the quality of vegetables is better than any other Indian stores in Houston
Good, clean store...love the loyalty program 👍
Lots of good variety that you wont necessarily find in a regular store. Some of their produce is priced lower than any regular grocery store Ive been.
Store has a lots of items
Very nice groceries, although little bit pricey. Staff is very helpful and location is nice
Good store
This was my first time going to Keemat and I was impressed on how helpful and patient this gentleman name Sujan was. He helped me pick out items to make the perfect vegan curry dish and even gave me some tips on how to make it. Thank you for taking the time out and helping me it saved me a lot of time. I will definitely be coming back.
This is an excellent grocery store! They have all the fresh vegetables and spices you may need, and a lot of good Desi ingredients you cant find everywhere. The customer service is terrific as well. They are ready and willing to help!
One stop for every Indian to shop for Groceries
It was our first visit. The prices look bit high compared to other stores nearby. The lady at counter didn’t talk once except asking Keemat card. She stopped our check out and went to help other counter lady. We ourselves took the carry bag, placed our items and left after paying. The check out register lady needs some customer service skills.
Total cheat .. they selling royal sonamasuri rice for $20 plus tax here at Costco you get it for $13 and when I called the lady she was very rude, asked for receipt tons of things and told me do what so ever I want to ...Well this not India .. I willMake sure I take you to BBB and consumer court and for money but for your behavior
Good deals good prices variety of selections and quality wise good as well
Fresh veggies almost always available. Good variety if teas, soups, e.t.c

Great store! They have a wonderful selection produce that you just cant find anywhere else. This is going to become my regular store!
Nice indian grocery store- you can get all you need..specially home made samosas are nice. All spices, fresh vegetables and frozen stuff are easily available.
Very large collection of Indian food items. One-stop-shop !!! All kinds of Indian vegetables, masala, food grains, health drinks, snacks items, you name it, and at reasonable rates. Must visit if you are from India and staying in Houston, Texas.
Love staff! Very helpfull and nice people. Love it.

Good choice of products
All the items required to prepare indian food available here. One stop shop for Indian food preparation.
Great Customer Service and they have great quality and wide variety of Indian foods. Definitely recommended for everyone. 🙏👍🎊👌
Pretty much same price as other Indian grocery store. Very clean and organized.
I love shopping all my groceries here. Their staff is very sweet and friendly. Its one stop for all Indian spices, veggies, etc
Pretty good place for INDIAN groceries. Its kinda tucked in back at Hilkraft st.We found one food Item not good. We went back and ask for refund. They were good, Refund was quick and even said to remove item from store immediately Platy One of the batter store I would say of verity.
Good place for all kinds of Indian groceries and kitchen items ...one place for an Indian looking for all authentic kitchen products and groceries including puja items
Good variety of products. Number of pickles and snacks option. Should offer more discounts on buying in bulk.
They have all the regular indian foods & vegetables. Small place. Easy to shop. Not much waiting @ the register.
Good
U can get fresh vegetables from here. And staff is very helpful and polite.
Cashiers are friendly, manager(or someone who look like one) - not so much. Does not matter much. Almost always have good fresh produce ! Make sure you give your phone number and register so that you earn points for your purchase. When you spend a good amount the whole year, you will get a $20 back! But make sure you keep the receipt! In case you need to return anything, they ask for receipt (fair!) . It is worth checking for expiry dates when you buy packed items. I have encountered at least a couple of times with expired products.. Overall a good shopping experience ! And good Indian music
Great place for Indian grocery. Always my first choice for Indian grocery.Get all Indian veggies here. Sometimes the veggies are not that good, I think they need better food management. Staff is really good and friendly.
Lots of spices and pantry items that are hard to find at other places. Offer a discount membership program as well.
My favorite place to get produce. They also have bath/body/hair products that arent usually sold in the U.S. that Ive tried and now swear by.
First thing first . Girl at cash was really pretty 😍. Atmosphere was good and filmy you will fell India. Good verify of foods, taste can be improved.
A good Indian grocery store in the neighborhood. Their greens and vegetable are fresh. They have recently added all types of millets to the list. A decent store for Indian groceries. They could try to add few more South Indian rice varieties n brands
Nice store. To buy your all household groceries foodstuffs and lots more.
Good Indian grocery place. But less parking space
The best Indian grocery store in all of Houston, without any doubt! You get everything under one roof and the staff is friendly, so if you dont find anything, just request them to get it for you. Is located in the heart of Hillcroft which helps as you can visit any Indian restaurant nearby.
They probably have the most varied collection of Indian food items. I liked my first visit here and it certainly wont be my last.
Most comprehensive Indian grocery store. They have all the Indian grocery that I need and everything is fresh and the costs are lower too.
Very interesting small grocery store with everything you need for Indian cooking. Sweet employees too. I am not Indian but I love the food. They have lots of produce used in Indian cooking that you cant find anywhere else. And the masalas, tons and tons of masalas!!! I highly recommend diving into the culture and diversity of this great city of Houston. There is so much to be explored if you know where to look :)
All common things we getting. I love keemat
Compared to couple of Indian stores, this one is much cheaper price wise and they sell organic lentils as well. During diwali time, there are discounts on lentils, I usually stock up for a year. All you have to do is freeze them for few days to keep them fresh for few months.
They have a wide variety of food products available. But be careful with the expiry dates of few products. I believe they do not keep track of expired products and they tend to be on the shelves. So be careful when you pick less popular products like complan or bournvita etc.
Improved so much in quality in the last year -maybe due to competition. But you will still find stuff in the rack which are past its due date. Keep an eye for that.
Friendly staff... better price.. almost everything available in groceries..
Only place in Houston who promises you good grocery. We come from kingwood to hillcroft to buy groceries. They r trust worthy.
Store is good but make sure you buy the products that are not expired, especially the pickles. Also not a good store for vegetables, but manageable. The good part is they have not removed the expiry date from the products like the other Desi stores.
Took my olive oil that i bought a while ago. And they kept receipt record that is awesome. Definitely coming back.
