We loved this store for our daily grocery. Every-time we are coming to this store any grocery. It is kind of first choice store for us. for every festival we find all are necessary things right here!!! We will recommend this to everyone :)

This is one of the only Indian stores in Houston with the curbside delivery option. The quality of the products is good most of the times. Overall a decent experience.

My experience Being in store was good. I went on Sunday for getting Diwali sale items with my wife. We found most of the items we were looking for. As a regular customer as we were waiting for checkout I saw one guy was yelling at the cashier about the limits for products. As we went to cashier my wife started to talk to the cashier. And in conversation he mention that all the employees and owner are working 13-14 hours everyday to make sure all the customers get the products. And he explain to us very patiently that they put limit because very customers should get the products.( Never seen prices like this) I feel, as a customer we should appreciate this guys for all there hard work they are doing for Diwali sale. Instead of yelling for nothing. Hats off to you guys. 🙏

Just went to the store.Was very cleaned and organized.The staff was very supportive and helped me to quickly find the products I was looking for.Will surely recommend to try fresh samosas from the kitchen.Prices were so fare with good quality products.One of my favorite store to stop by.

Pathetic service, order placed on Sunday, still no sight of delivery - been more than 48 hours and website says its within 24 to 48 hours. No once answers calls - no response on chat option on website. Worst experience with ordering groceries ever!p.s. so they do read the reviews, within 10 mins I got a call from the same # on which I was calling like 10 plus times but no one was answering. They said they are super busy so they are delaying deliveries, which is understandable but there is something like communication!The person was super rude, when you talk to an upset customer, you have to be nice but anyways, THE FINAL DECICISION ORDER IS CANCELLED, Hoping to see my refund as she committed in 3-5 days :( Wasted all that time in ordering and than waiting for delivery, at least I am not coming back, I have ordered online 1st time but have shopped in-store before but as it was my 1st order the personnel did not care a bit :( What a kool customer service approach

Awful experience! I bought a copper utensil yesterday and went to return just now . It wasnt returned saying Non Food Items cant be returned or exchanged . The purchased item was not opened or used, it was exact state as bought, still They didnt agree that Disclaimer says Open/Used Non Food food items as written in the receipt . The person at desk tried but system didnt allow her to do so and it was clear that BOSS Is supreme to be made happy first and owns all rules . I was given an email address or phone call to put my concern . Really ?

Best selection of Indian spices in all of Houston! Sweet and savory box mixes, boxed sweets, produce, drinks--they even have homewares! Great grocery if you are looking for specialty items. My only complaint is that the isles are a bit too narrow.

Vegetables are hardly fresh. One should be lucky to get all fresh vegetables. Also the store can be a Lil more organized. Variety is great.

Be aware of poor quality products.Shubhlaxmi has very poor quality dal (lentils). After cleaning two cups worth of black urad whole lentils, I found several stones; photo attached.They also carry products past the expiry date, this especially in reference to their Maggie noodles and masalas.

Perfect one stop store for all Indian stuff particularly puja items. I was looking large size mantap. I found exactly I wanted. They have all puja items, unique wedding items. Super like for this store.

As today was my first visit, I was really surprised by the stores management, all the items arranged in the most friendly manner n volunteers takes care of every customer. By far the best of all, the music makes u forget that u r in USA, I dont find any reason for less than 5 star, Total 5 star marks from me. And I like to thank each n all the staff n management for the attention given to me.

Great grocery store for Indian food. They have everything. We tried some candy bars and also bought pear and mango and cant wait to try them both!

BEWARE! TOTAL RIPOFFS! Their cash registers ring up higher prices than what you see on the shelves. Their online prices dont ring up when you buy in store either. Ripping off their customers blind. When I complained, first they told me to refresh my browser. When the same price appeared, told me thats price one because they charge additional for delivery. When I argued that its the same for their free curbside pickup, they made up some BS excuse about some most online items being more expensive than in store. Either way...absolute ripoffs!They also sell a bunch of expired stuff but putting it on clearance. This includes cookies and biscuits for kids. Shame on yall for trying to make money at the risk of getting our kids sick. SHAMEFUL!!!UPDATE:More lies from this place. I posted before that they would not honor their online prices in store. Ive heard the following reasons for that:1. Refresh your browser, that is old price. When I refreshed it in store in front of them, I was sent to speak with manager.2. Sir, that price is for online shipping because we charge them more for shipping already. I debated that this was not true because I ordered for curbside pickup which had no extra charge, still that was the price.3. Sir, you are not understanding, that is our price for online because other items when you buy online are more expensive. I cant believe this is real, I just heard two different reasons before this in the last 10min.4. LATEST: That price expired one week ago. Big lie! I have confirmation for order I placed yesterday with that price.Same thing happened to me a few weeks back. Price tag on onions (in store) was not what rang up on cashier. I had to go back and take a picture of the price next to the onions to prove to the guy that was the price. Today, every Gits packet I bought was ringing up $1.29 when the shelves had price of $0.99 on them. THATS A 30% DIFFERENCE! I had to request the cashier to walk to the shelves with me to see the price for himself. Then did I get the correct price.No amount of calling me is going to help now. Youve tried to rip me off for the last time. Stop calling me!

This store has gone downhill since new manager appointment in Aug 2021. So many hidden clauses, old stock items, unmanaged isles, Wrong prices on check-out. No one has idea in store whats going on here.

I needed some herbs and spices, fenugreek leaves, garam masala, etc, and they had a variety of options for each to select from. Prices are excellent, staff is friendly, and the whole thing was quick. What more could one want?

I recently ordered some groceries online from Subhlaxmi Grocers, for home delivery. The order was made during the inclement ice/snow weather and unfortunately the DoorDash driver dropped the groceries off at the wrong house. I emailed the Subhlaxmi web support notifying them that the package had not arrived. Within minutes, i got a call from the service representative to help out with my situation. She immediately contacted the driver to find the package and was very responsive. Due to the ice and snow getting worse, we decided to find the package the next day. I then got a call from Mr. Animesh, who was extremely helpful and also very concerned about my groceries going bad given the ice and snow. He personally drove from his home (40 minutes out of his way, at after 9:30pm at night in inclement weather) in order to find the box and deliver it. He successfully found the box and delivered it to me. He was so helpful and cordial and i cant say enough good words about the exceptional customer service of Subhlaxmi Grocers! Also the fresh produce they send is always fresh and great quality. I have no doubt they will soon become the leading online and retail Indian grocery store in Houston given such excellent customer service! Thank you

I bought a box full of frozen samosas only to find disgusting mold all over it( obviously thawed, molded and refrozen). Throwing all the frozen food I bought as a precaution. I couldnt get a hold of anyone on the phone or chat to get a refund . I am far too busy to drive half way across town to fight for a refund. Never going back again.

A very very very bad shop and they dont contact with you everI bought from them an himalaya product from walmart shop by online and I put some more 9-dollas for them to bring my shipment faster, the shipment delayed and I apply for refund no nody answered me and no body contact with me back and still my shipment dosent arrived

No doubt the best store in town! They have a variety of items available in the store which you dont find in other stores. Everybody working there is very polite and helpful. Last few months I have been ordering groceries from them due to Covid and i have a small baby at home. During the pandemic time they took the effort to make sure they deliver groceries to their customers and i was super happy with their delivery service. Thank you for helping us during this bad times.

It is one of my favorite places to get fresh sugar cane juice n groceries. At the one I go to they have fresh sugar cane.. I watched them cut, and I watched adding flavors. They are healthy and they taste absolutely delicious! 10/10 would recommend.

Whats not to love about Sublhlaxmi? The infinite varieties of beans, the zillions of different grains, the kalidoscopal colors of the spices, and the kind and patient people who work here combine beautifully -- making Sublhlaxmi my favorite grocery adventure in Houston. Often I will see something that is hideouslh expensive at other stores for a tenth of the price here (wheat berries or fenugreek, anyone?). The frozen section is a wonderland of its own with everything from breads to vegs to fruity desserts to explore. Produce is, I think, mostly local. Splurge on something for your house or a gift -- you cant go wrong. Subhlaxmi is Sublime

Really very happy with their home delivery service, especially in times of pandemic.. They pack everything meticulously, and call for options if they dont have a particular item available. Veggies delivered are really fresh. Packing was great and delivery was very prompt.One-stop shop for all Indian items!!

Who could have thought that the best Chaat on Hillcroft Avenue is in the small Deli in the back of SubhLaxmi Grocers formerly India Grocers.! The Pani Puri Gol Gappa for some are amazing! We enjoyed this Indian Street food while shopping for the widest variety of Indian foods, vegetables and Utensils. Everything you need in One store. And the owners are hands on and responsive. Well be back!

Subhlaxmi has an excellent selection of organic staple products, more than any other place including Whole Foods. They are very supportive of organic farming in India. They also now deliver, with a minimum order.

One of the best store in the Houston

Pretty good Indian place for groceries. You can find almost all the spices, frozen foods, snacks here. Most raw vegetables that are used for cooking in India are also available here but I felt that they have quite a few missing veggies and can improve there. They also have idols but I am not a worshiper, so cannot comment much on that.Recently they have opened a fresh food stall inside the shop. I am going to attach some pictures of their menu and it looks like a steal. Fresh chapathis, rotis along with curries that are sold separately and at different sizes (S/M/L) reminds me of the currie-points back home.

Selling Expired Products.They sold me expired maggi packets which were 3 years old. Store owner doesnt care about it and was behaving as if it was not a big issue. I would advice choosing other grocery stores. Also, they sell products expensive compared to other stores. A true combination of poor quality and poor customer service!

Updated review: tried the online ordering with delivery to houston area for $5 bc they have an item I cannot find anywhere else. It was easy and I got my order in a reasonable time with the correct items/quantity. I love their section of spices and hair care. Clean place to get basic groceries here. I order from curbside and they bring the grocery to my car and makes it safe during this time of pandemic.

Large selection of south asian grocery items. Place is clean and well stocked. Staff is friendly.However, I bought a pack in incense sticks, opened it when I got home, and the package inside was already opened 🤷‍♀️. So be sure to check these items in store before buying.

This store is a gem. My first time to this store and it has a variety of items available from grocery, temples, swings, baby swing, Pooja items. I love their cosmetic sections where they have a huge collection of hair colors. Its a one stop shop.
