I went to a number of lighting stores around town and this was by far the best. Best selection for what I was looking for, best prices overall and most helpful staff. I wanted to find a crystal chandelier before Christmas. This would be a Christmas gift for myself. Often as physicians and as women, we take care of everyone else, while neglecting ourselves. I did a Goggle search and Houston Lightbulb and Lighting had the best reviews. I called about an hour before they were about to close. Its the holiday season, and the owner mentioned that he had a family gathering to get to. But he would stay if I came right away. It was about a 45 min drive from the Lake Houston/Kingwood area, but he and his staff waited patiently. Their service was impeccable and rarely seen these days. The chandelier is spectacular!!!!! The owner pulled some strings with his certified electrician to get it installed only three days later, despite a packed holiday schedule. I recommended this company for all of your lighting needs. When there was a problem with the chandelier (manufacturer issue), Sel immediately addressed it and made sure we had a replacement in a week’s time. I visited Houston Lighting for the first time while shopping for a new chandelier for the entry way of our home. The moment I walked in, I was greeted with warmth and welcomeness. They listened with interest to my desire to find a chandelier that would fit well with our newly installed staircase and home décor, and then we all walked through the beautiful showroom to see some of those on display. Sure enough, one of those ended up speaking to me the minute I saw it! They gave me time and space to consider it and showed me what it looked like turned off as well as brightly lit. I knew it was the one, took photos and decided to purchase it, and then while there, selected another flush mount ceiling light I needed which would be visible from the entry as well. The chandelier was delivered and then both lights were installed by our electrician. I am absolutely THRILLED! No doubt whenever I have lighting needs, I will go back to Houston Lighting!

The most professional and courteous retail vendors I have ever worked with. My first visit to them was on a cold, raining night in January. They stayed open ONE HOUR past closing to let my wife and I choose our fixtures. Their follow-up is great, and their customer service is excellent. One of my fixtures was not working properly, and Gio performed a same-day HOUSE CALL to determine the problem and recommended a fix. Ive had much worse experiences with other lighting vendors on Fondren, and I can safely say these guys are the best option on Fondren for your lighting needs.

I stumbled upon Houston Lighting while looking for lighting ideas for a new house. It was very last minute and I was in a panic realizing I had not spent enough time thinking about fixtures before the electrician was due to begin work. Joseph met me onsite and gave me some great ideas to enhance what the architect had outlined. I continued to work with him on fixture selection. It was very helpful to have his keen eye and knowledge to guide me to the right fixtures for each room. With a few exceptions, we were looking for moderately priced fixtures and he did a good job helping us find good stuff within our budget. The lighting has now been installed and I couldnt be happier with our choices.

Had a wonderful experience buying a bulb for my salt lamp this morning. To start off they currently have a must wear mask policy going on which is very responsible, and in case you are not as responsible they still can hook you up with a mask so you can still shop there. Sel was amazing, sounds very experienced and gave me some good advice on what Im looking for, and most importantly was very straight forward and did not try and upsell me. Coming home from my trip today, my wife and I decided to stop by and purchase some light fixtures for our home that needed replacing. When we opened the door the employees told us we could not enter without a mask on. We immediately left. I live in a free America, where my brothers and sisters died to retain my freedom. I will never set foot in this establishment ever for as long as I’m here. I will never suggest or recommend this place to anyone. I would rather die free than bow down to the government or any business who doesn’t have the balls to stand up for freedom!I did however go to a business who wasn’t run by rights violators and purchased what we needed.

This business is beyond awesome. We have bought 9 lighting fixtures from them for our new church. They even gave discounts that we didn’t ask for. If your needing beautiful light fixtures, this is where you need to shop. They are so helpful. They even told me when we go to put up chandelier, if we need help, to please call them and they will walk us through it.

We looked at light fixtures at both Home Depot and Lowes and could not find what we needed. This was less expensive and so much better in terms of selection, service and knowledgeable sales staff. I am so grateful that I did business with Sel, owner of the Houston Lightbulb, as his service is beyond expectation. We bought a light two years ago and just two weeks ago one of the two outdoor light went out on me. I drop by the store to look for another light. When I share with Sel what happen to the light I bought two years ago, he went into action and reach out to the manufacturer and got me a replacement. I was so surprised as I was not expected that he would do that for me and on top of that he did not charge me for his time and the cost of replacement. I purchased two neon signs from the man with the accent that were beautiful, but not what I originally ordered. Both signs were pricy but much smaller than what I asked for. The first sign was for my studio spa suite so it wasn’t that big of a deal, but the second sign was for my fiancé’s smoke shop to be seen in the window from the street. We asked for the sign to be 3ft x 3ft, and when we picked it up it was a foot smaller than it was supposed to be on each side. The man tried to tell us that we specifically asked for the smaller sign and that was not true. He didn’t keep a copy of the original draft, so unfortunately it was his word against ours but we of course knew exactly what we wanted and agreed to spend our hard earned money on.So we got two small overpriced neon signs with not so great customer service.Make sure to take pictures of EVERYTHING when doing business with them.

This store provided bad services. The 2 employees work there are terrible. I just ask for the discount and they giving me attitude and said Im rude. They discriminate Asian and female customer. The boss was stand there watching his employees cursing and fighting with the customer. I been this store couple times but never seen these bad employees before. This will be my last time buy from this store.
